The place was spacious with plenty of seating and my party of 4 were seated right away on a Thursday night. The food was tasty! Not too oily but packed with a lot of Szechuan flavor. Sliced beef: 10/10 cold sliced beef was a refreshing palate cleanser even thought it was still slightly numbing from the mala Eggplant with thousand egg (don't remember the actual name): 1000/10 I would 100% come back to eat this again, it was delicious with a warm bowl of rice Assorted dry pot: 6/10 packed with veggies and a little meat but honestly not that much flavor Chingqing chicken: 10/10 probably another star of the table, more than shareable between 4 people considering how much food we had. The pepper had a light crunch and the chicken was lightly spicy and crispy

Tasty house is a pretty tasty house. It's in the same plaza as Walmart, so a huge parking lot. The interior is pretty big, and has a cute modern aesthetic. Came in for a weekend dinner and was greeted and sat immediately. There are QR codes at the tables to scan and order which was super convenient. We ordered the fatty beef slices in the spicy soup, and the cold noodles, along with a couple bowls of rice. The food came out pretty quickly. Cold noodles were refreshing and super mala. The sauce was peanut-y and a tiny bit sweet which went so well with the spice. According to the menu, it was only level 1 spice vs the beef slices dish which was level 2 spice. The beef in hot soup seemed less spicy than the noodles lol but it was also so flavorful. It did get a little on the salty side, but that is what the rice is for. I also feel like they could've added more beef slices, but it was still a yummy dish Overall, tasty! Loud flavors, super spicy, and reasonable prices bI'd love to come back to try the rest of their expansive menu

In a strip mall plaza. Free parking is nice and restaurants is pretty spacious. Private room available for larger parties if needed. Food is pretty authentic if you're looking for chong Qing style dishes. I recommend the Chong Qing chicken with bone in.

I heard a lot of good things about this place but overall thought it was just ok. We came during lunch and they have lunch specials which is priced pretty reasonably. The place was big and the server seems nice. It can get loud if it gets busy. Plenty of parking. We ordered: - shredded pork with dried bean curd - the entree was pretty salty so you definitely need the rice to help. The dish was just ok though - hand shaved noodle with chicken - pretty bland, I had to dip these in the other dish to get some flavoring. The noodles were also very doughy, so didn't really taste like noodles. Overall, it was ok. Portions was good for the price during lunch.

We've been coming to this establishment for 15+ years (back when it was still called szechuan chef). And we order this dish every time. We also try it at other restaurants in the area too! I know there are supposed to be a lot of peppers in this dish, but the ratio is getting out of control! This was $25 and the vast majority of it was comprised of these peppers. After we picked out all of the chicken, it looked like the same volume of food! The seasoning is also very inconsistent. Sometimes it's more spicy, sometimes it's more numbing, sometimes it's very salty. (picture is after we ate the chicken i forgot to take one before)

Szechuanese done right. We had a private room off to he side and ordered family style. Big portions, spicy, savory, big menu, numbing spice. We ordered 15 dishes and they were all winners, every last one. Boiled fish, ma po tofu, hand shaved noodles, chong qing chicken, garlic eggplant were all winners, just to name a few. Prices were very good for big portions. They take reservations online for groups up to 15 ppl. The clear choice if I am ever craving szechuanese on the Eastside.

Partner and I tried this place on our last day in Seattle. We just had the soup dumplings and the spicy beef brisket soup. The portions were quite generous. The soup dumplings were just okay--it was a bit too thick and the broth wasn't as flavorful as I was used to. The soup was also alright. The bowl was huge. The "brisket" bits seemed like leftovers from another dish and could've have been more tender. I thought the spice level was okay but my partner thought it was too much and a bit overpowering.

It was my first visit. Food was good. Dishes were salty and oily but they do have dishes that you can get if you are concerned about oil and deep fried foods. We ordered many dishes to share, ordered too much. It is family style portion. Sesame chicken, Chowmein, tofu, shrimps with walnuts, cashew chicken, green beans, egg plants garlic sauce and other stir fired veggie. Dishes do not come with rice. The only thing I did not like was eggs, it was soaking inside. Other dishes were cooked perfectly but as I mentioned, it is greasy. It is on the salty side. You can asked for chili oil. The servers were friendly and nice. There are parking lot. They do take break between lunch and dinner. Dinner starts at 5 pm.

Tasty House is a new addition to the East Side, specializing in Sichuan cuisine. My partner and I went on a weekday after work and we were seated immediately. Service was so great! The food came out quickly. There were peanuts on a dish, but when I mentioned that I had an allergy, they remade it immediately with no fuss. I also thought the portion sizes were amazing for the price. - Jelly Noodles: 4/5, could have been spicier. I like the texture a lot! - Boiled Fish: 5/5 - Twice Cooked Pork: 5/5 - Salt and Pepper Tofu: 3/5, just not super flavorful. I would recommend just sticking to Sichuan style food. The Sichuan dishes we got were so flavorful.

Definitely good Szechuan food in a nice strip mall. Mapo tofu and dry pot cabbage were excellent though the mapo tofu was a bit oily. Lots of szechuan peppers with their floral scent and tongue-numbing deliciousness. The Chinese bacon in the cabbage dish was smokey and delightful. We were excited to eat here, we travelled from south Seattle. Upon arrival we went to wash up before dinner. My wife and daughters noticed one of the cooks used the ladies room stall and simply walked out without washing her hands. My wife and daughters were appalled! She walked out and nicely tried to let the wait staff know about this as this is terrible hygiene and a huge health hazard. When the previous restaurant opened it was on fire. The place was always packed and the food was hot fresh and a solid value. For the first couple years it was the best Chinese food around. The place sold and new ownership raised the prices and changed some of the recipes. The last time I ate here was before covid and the meal was so bad, I said I'd never return. When I saw the place had a new name, I figured it was the same owner with a new name to remove the bad reviews they had earned, thankfully that was not the case. We actually first came on the weekend, but since we wanted lunch, we went elsewhere and came back today for the lunch special. For $15, the price was fair, the choices were also good, I had the Mongolian Beef. The portion was fine. The beef was little fishy and some pieces were chewy as other reported, but it was ok. Not the best, but far from the worst. The best part of the lunch was the soup. This was the best Hot and Sour I've had in a while, a rich broth, with a peppery kick. They also had a nice chili paste and savory soy sauce that appeared to be brewed on site. The entree was pretty average, but I'm not counting these guys out, yet. I'll give another lunch item a try to see if they can win me over. Best Wok across the street used to be a solid choice, but the two men that own the place used to do all the work and once they hired a staff, the food taste, quality and portion all went down, and I stopped going. I'm hoping Tasty House can fill that void. There is no shortage of Chinese food in the area, my problem is none of them are worth my dime. read more

Amazing and great service! My friend and I had a good time here. The staffs was so nice and gave recommendation. The food here was really good! good spice level! They also do numbing and it was perfect numbing! We could still taste the flavors from each item! 10/10 and would definitely come back! Was rejected from another restaurant because we weren't all over 21 and so we came right about closing. Their last call was at 8:30pm and we came in at 8:20pm. Still got our order in though. Really wanted their stir fried clams but they didn't have it. We got their szechuan chicken in chili oil sauce and it was alright, but really oily. They also really propped it up with bean sprouts so there wasn't that much. Their sweet and sour pork was really like stiff. I don't know why we got A choy because we usually get pea leaves. They were kind of bitter. We also got this tofu but there was fish in it. I've never had this combination. I want to say the only highlight was the stir-fried pork. The spice was just enough and I was worried that I wasn't going to have enough rice. Ok but the real turn off was the customers there. Their party rooms have no roofs. Like the wall isn't completely sealed to the top. And the people there were so loud, screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs. Absolutely no consideration for anyone else there. The worse part is, I think these people are friends with the manager here and so the manager was also in on it, did nothing to keep their noise down. Everytime they came out of the room, they would slam the door behind them. I thought this was just a drunk man thing but the women were doing it too. Like their manners are so bad. They have Western-style Chinese food and I think it's pretty authentic; we ordered the pig ears, lamb soup, and got a side of sweet garlic. I paid extra for the lamb slices but it still felt like the soup was lacking in meat. The flavor was really great though, very warming and comfy. I recommend trying the sweet garlic! It goes with heavy foods well.

Anything you would need you would need to ask for so don't expect too much. There's a lot of benches around to eat so take your pick and clean up after yourself. Now the hard part is the food. I find that the price itself is ok not bad (just the usually Seattle markup). There are highlights to the food. The stewed meat is a solid five. The steamed bread/meat is a 3 star it was just ok. Their signature fried pork was really good, I was surprised. But because it is fried you better eat it there or it'll get soggy any where you go. So I guess overall its good but know what your getting yourself into.

The main issue was the food itself--everything I ordered was overwhelmingly salty, to the point where it completely masked the actual flavor of the dishes. It felt very heavy-handed and unbalanced. The service didn't do anything to make up for the meal, either. It was just so-so--unattentive and felt like the staff was just going through the motions. Overall, it feels like a spot relying entirely on its location and foot traffic rather than the quality of its kitchen. Save your money and find a better spot nearby.

The space is small and a little narrow, so seating can be pretty limited. My parents and I were lucky enough to grab the last table, and we ordered 4 items: the dry noodle with scallion oil and braised pork chop, the secret dumplings, large wonton, and salty soy milk (dumplings and wonton aren't pictured). I was most curious and most disappointed by the scallion noodle and pork chop. The portion size seemed too small to justify its price point, and I felt the pork chop tasted dry. The noodles however, had a great flavor, so if I were to try the place again, I'd only go for the scallion oil noodles. The dumplings were amazing. They were a little pricey but worth the cost, and worth the restaurant name. The dumplings were larger than most dumpling places I've been to, and the meat and soup inside were super flavorful. The wontons were also good, though it can't beat the pan fried dumplings. The salty soy milk was a very unique experience- it was thicker, rich and flavorful than other salty soy milk soups that I'm used to. It almost has an umami, seafood-ish taste to it. Though I'm not a big fan of soy milk, I enjoyed this dish more than expected! After our meal, we got to choose some magnets to take home, which was a creative and sweet gift. For the overall price point, I don't think I'd be coming here regularly for a meal. I may drop by for choice items like the pan fried dumplings!

BUT, the one I wanted, the beef clay hot pot dish was still available, so ordered that along with some black sesame buns for my partner. Of all the eateries at the food court that day, Dough Savor was by far the busiest, so it took a bit for me to get my food. I waited about 20 minutes for my dish. Worth it though. The beef clay hot pot dish was fantastic! It came out piping hot, with tender beef, winter melon, glass noodles and a side of rice. The broth had that malatang flavor, but not too overpowering. I slurped every last drop of this warming soup, which was needed on a rainy day. If you get anything from Dough Savor, make it the beef clay hot pot. My partner ended up loving the black sesame buns that I got him (he loves black sesame) and you get six of them, so it was nice to take home some to eat days after with coffee. The menu is huge at Dough Savor, so it's hard to choose just one item, but so glad I was able to try the beef clay hot pot. Plenty of spots to eat inside, too, at this food court, with a parking lot outside of the entrance. I'll be back!
