Sooo good. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking, and I haven't had to wait in line both times I came during dinner (knock on wood because it might start getting lines). A great representation of the individual style Taiwanese hot pot that I'm used to, and I'm glad there's one here now. Service is friendly and quick. Food is always impeccable and the price is awesome too. Let me tell you about the winter melon cream tea. It comes in a funny cute reuseable cup, and the tea is just... exquisite. Friends and I dropped by for dinner. Got the beef hot pot, lamb hot pot, curry hot pot, and the cheesy milk hot pot. Even with no spice requested, it seems like the base of the beef broth had a little chili oil or something in it by default. The cheesy milk pot was interesting and mild in flavor. The curry pot reminded me more of Japanese curry. The flavor was strong and penetrated all the meats and veggies in the pot. Overall the flavors were good, food was hot and the staff was mostly attentive. Although since the place is new, it seemed a little understaffed as there were tables waiting to be cleaned while several customers (including my party) waited. My friends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't that busy so we got seated right away. I would say that the customer service is quite slow as we had to flag someone down in order to get someone to take our order. In addition, no staff checked up on us to see if we needed any refills on water or other services afterwards, but since they are newly opened perhaps the staff are still juggling everything. We ordered the Thai flavor, cheesy milk, and Sichuan hot soup. I was surprised with the big selection of options to choose from and there were other flavors that I wanted to try but didn't get to. The Thai flavor hot soup was my favorite and the cheesy milk one was not bad as well(kind of has that cheese corn taste), while the Sichuan hot soup was kinda lacking in flavor. Overall, the food was still good and I was still satisfied with the presentation and taste of the food. If I were to come back again, I'd want to try the Taiwanese hot soup and maybe try the bubble tea! read more

I wanted to try this place while in San Diego but couldn't find the time, so I'm super happy they opened up a location in Beaverton. I had the kimchi soup, which was pretty good. I liked all of the things they added to it - they were delicious - and I like that you can choose your spice level. However, I felt like the broth didn't taste like what I'd expect from a kimchi soup. Maybe it was because I asked for mild spice, but I was a little disappointed. The fixings made up for it, though. They give you a really big amount, though; could make this into 2-3 meals or split with someone. read more

The food was fine but this place seemed very popular. I visited on a Sunday at 3 PM and there were still plenty of groups waiting to get served. The service was very fast. The food was pretty good but it was mainly cabbage with small portions of meat. Beware though, Each dish is for one individual. The tea was pretty good but it was a little sweet. The hot pot here is pretty good but the service really suck. We went in for a party of 10 but they didn't have a table to seat us all so we were okay with splitting up our party to different tables. While my friend was ordering I was asking a question about the menu but got a rude response from the waitress saying to wait for my turn to order?! Like what the hell?! After we ate and went up to pay, we heard the waitress talking behind our back in Chinese thinking that we don't understand their language. No matter how good the food is we would never come back to eat here again because their waitress and the service are just completely awful! If you're the business owner and is reading this please train your employees to treat customer properly. We paid for food and good customer service but apparently didn't get the second part. read more

This place is pretty bland in comparison to Boiling Point. But I guess it's the best you can get in Beaverton.

The first time I tried Tasty Pot was in SF and I just didn't like it compared to Boiling Point. I thought maybe it's just that location. After trying it two more times here, I can conclude it's just not as good as BP. The soup is bland and it's 80% cabbage and very little meat. Their service however was great. I love that the Portland area FINALLY has a Tasty Pot here! No more traveling to Seattle, Bay Area and other cities just to eat Tasty Pot or other hot pot places like this. Their service could be better but it's not their fault since it's still pretty new, and I never expect good service at Asian restaurants anyways. The hot pots are so good! I do prefer homemade hot pot but for restaurant, it's pretty damn good too. I usually order their number 1 beef hot soup. It's a good starter if you're just trying the place out. But my last visit, I ordered number 5 the stinky tofu hot soup and to my surprise, it was a lot more flavorful than my sisters(who ordered the beef soup). I'm not usually one to try new things, if I find something I like, I stick to it. I've always had the Taiwanese hot soup. This one is a larger pot and a like $1 or $2 more than the regular size pots. This last visit tho, my aunt ordered that and they ran out of their spicy sauce so she settled for their medium spice. She liked it just as much as if it would be spicy, she said there was a lot of flavor in it even tho it didn't have the spicy sauce. I'm really hoping there would be more restaurants opening more in the Portland area and not Beaverton lol I would still drive to come out here, this place is worth the drive. read more

I made reservation for 8 on a Saturday night. They took my reservation, but forgot to right down the date. When I arrived there, the server was frantic and so sorry she didn't get the reservation right. She asKed if it was ok to put us at two different event table to get us in quicker. We said yes. As good as it gets. Although they aren't affiliated Tasty Pot is a mirror image of Boiling Point in Seattle and Bellevue with a nearly exact menu. All the good stuff like stinky tofu and intestines. I had the Taiwanese hot pot with medium spice level and my wife had the beef also with medium spice. Mine was a larger costlier bowl and all I could eat. Price totaled $30 which was reasonable compared to volume and quality. There will always be a soft spot for Hot Pot City but this is preferable to Little Sheep. Spacious interior - very clean.
