After an afternoon of wine tasting, this was a great way to end the day before heading back to San Diego. Located in a strip mall conveniently near the freeway, parking was easy. Walking in, it's not a big place so we were thankful that our party of 6 was able to be seated right away. This is not an all-you-can eat hot pot restaurant but the individual bowls were pretty generous and delicious! We tried the Beef, Taiwanese Supreme, Cheesy Milk and Japanese Miso Hot Soups. Every person absolutely loved what they ordered. The dipping sauces of Chili Oil, Soy Garlic and Soybean Chili Sauce were fantastic! We each mixed our own combinations of them. It was my first time at a Tasty Pot in general. It was very interesting to see a hot pot location in Temecula of all places. On a Saturday night, this place wasn't completely full; I'd say half of the restaurant was still available for seating. They seated us immediately and had told us to scan the QR codes for the menu. You also submit your orders online so it goes straight to the kitchen. I ended up ordering their lamb hot pot, mildly spicy with a Hazy IPA to go with my meal. I also got rice but you have the option for vermicelli. When I received my meal, it already had a flame on the bottom. Within my pot there were slices of lamb, lots of lattice, a cube of purple rice (?), fish balls, meat balls, and more. To go along with my pot, they had three sauces you can use for your meal: garlic ponzu, spicy bean curd, or a spicy chili oil. Overall, I'd like to say the service was exceptional. They checked on us and offered to refill our pots with soup. My reason for the three stars is the good quality. I've had my share of different hot pot places and experiences, and I try to taste the quality in their vegetables, meat, and fish/meat balls. Their quality isn't top tier and I can taste it in the quality of the ball. They fill your pots with lots of cabbage, but the pot itself was lacking. The taste and quality of meat wasn't great nor was the soup. I'd say it's not bad for the Temecula area, but it could absolutely be better especially for the price you pay. Today I ordered the stinky tofu soup, which was BTW very delicious. Its an excellent broth. I chose the flame spicy and there was no spice but that's sort of expected bc the demographics in temecula cant handle ANY spice, even tiniest bit. This soup was very rich and flavorful, but what I was disappointed in was there was 0 intestines. I only ordered this bowl bc it had intestines. I showed my server I had 0 as I was sifting through my soup. I asked him if he can get me a bowl of intestines a d if he can't, ill pay for the extra charge. This was the only reason why I ordered this dish! Its just sad it had none. This is why they get 3 stars. I like the cabbage substitute bc I dont eat noodles or rice. Everything else in the soup was OK. I also got beef sticks. It had 0 flavor. I think even this demographic would agree. Maybe today I got a bad batch? I was close by, starving and wanted to try the soup, I went to order and ask what her favorite was. She mentioned a couple of the soups and then the Beef sizzling plate. That sounded so good, with udon noodles, onions, corn, cheese and a fried egg. Of course that's what I ordered, with all the extras. I liked this concept of hot pot, although I was confused at first but they refill your broth, assuming with a base broth that mixes well with all flavors. Even though it isn't all you can eat, the portion size makes up for that, you don't need all you can eat lol. It's nice getting your hot pot to go, I should ask at the other spots bc why waste the broth! Some countries drink bone broth for breakfast and I'm all about saving food, I don't mind leftovers. I wanted to try a Taiwanese hot pot and I got the spicy beef one! There was a lot of things I wasn't sure about but it's not that big of a deal and just took them out but I tried them first! Even though we didn't order the hot pot, we still had a really good experience at Tasty Pot! The food was overall delicious and definitely worth the visit. Workers were friendly! Ambiance good for friends and family! The popcorn chicken was a standout -- super flavorful and crispy. The beef skewers were also really yummy and well-seasoned. Rice was solid and did the job. The torpedo shrimp and the pork & shrimp egg rolls were just okay -- not bad, but not the highlight of the meal. For drinks, the taro milk tea with boba was good and satisfying. The Thai tea was okay, nothing special but still enjoyable. Overall, a solid spot with tasty food and good variety. Unfortunately, the flavors in the food were lacking. I had read that from others and even tried to add the available sauces. However, the sauces didn't do much and I was left wanting to find a way to enjoy the meal. Fortunately, the boba tea was good and I ordered a side of chicken skewers which tasted more fresh. Also, the setup is odd because you sit down and order using your phone yet at the end you walk up to pay. Not sure why we couldnt just pay using our phone since the location forces you to order using a phone. There is staff around that bring out the food and beverages, so there is some human interaction. My go-to is always the Thai hot pot and my husband really enjoys the sizzling beef plate. The popcorn chicken they offer is tasty and crispy too! I think it's a great price for all of the food you're getting. If you dine in during their lunch hours, you get a free green or black tea. Both are really good and I wished they offered this complimentary drink during dinner too. You order via a QR code with your phone, or you can always order with the staff if you're not tech savvy. The lobster balls tasted a bit rubbery, like imitation crabmeat. My sizzling beef was actually pretty good, but a little too salty for my liking. My husband was enjoying his soup at first, but halfway through eating it, he too, felt it was overly salty and could not finish it. I also ordered a peach green tea which I really liked. My son had a honeydew slush which I took a sip of and thought it was pretty good, but my son didn't care for it. Prices were reasonable, and service was good. I ended up sharing the beef miso hotpot which had excellent flavor and was full of vegetables, fish cakes, seafood, and mushrooms! The staff was very quick and helpful. We ordered the Peach black tea, sweet black tea, curry flavor hot soup with vermicelli. We were greeted upon entry and being that it was our first time the lady was very helpful on menu items and allergy information . Everything is made to order. The flaming pot was over boiling, since I like my soup temperature hot. It ended up spilling over to the table, but the waiter was on top of it. He came by with extra napkins, so I can soak up the spilled broth. The waiter and waitress were super helpful in explaining how to order, if it's your first time. They also offer to add more soup broth, if your pot dried out and you wanted more liquids. They had somewhat of a full house but managed to come by and offer any assistance, if we needed anything, so that was a nice added touch. The venue and decor is simplistic and clean. They have a nice giant angel wings for photo ups. Which is fun to do. I see tons of families and friends coming together to experience this wonderful place to eat at. I thought it was cute, because I saw a mother and son date night. I use to take my twins out and enjoy them all to myself, so it definitely brought back sweet memories. If you like hot pot you need to to try tasty pot. We ordered family style with a Thai pot, Spicy Taiwanese pot and a lamb pot. All three were very flavorful. What you can't see on the website is you can pick your spice level and as you eat they come by with more broth. There are also all sorts of add ons you can do. We probably ordered 10 add ons between the 3 pots, my husband loved the baby octopus. One area they do need to improve is the restrooms, the floors need a serious scrub down they were gross. read more

Located in the back of a large retail plaza, the restaurant can accommodate around 60 people. Everything looks new, most likely it was opened recently. Both orders were ready in about 10 minutes and served in their individual pots and with underneath petite can heater to keep the pot hot. The seafood was full of items with lobster tail as the centerpiece. I first was kind of skeptical about the quality of the lobster tail since the price was quite reasonable. However, the lobster tail was quite tasty and firm meat. The broth was light and flavorful. The Taiwanese was also pretty good with variety of ingredients like fried tofu, meat, mushrooms, vegies and crabmeat. I took my girl here for her birthday lunch. We were seated right away, and there were about 4 parties when we arrived around 1:15 pm. I'm glad we missed the lunch rush because we needed to take care of business! I love how bright it is inside because of all of the windows. "Bubbles" and his staff are on it! They're attentive and helped us when we needed stuff like utensils, more water, etc. This place will be poppin' come fall weather, so anticipate the crowds.
