We had General tsao chicken and Mongolian beef to go and it was amazing when we got it home. The chicken was so moist and soft and the perfect amount of heat. The Mongolian beef was also very good. The beef was very tender and the Mongolian sauce was great. Going back again tonight to try more. Going to try garlic chicken and the cream cheese shrimp rolls. I have been here multiple times. If I'm craving Pad Thai, without hesitation, this is where I go. I haven't ordered anything else but every time I go, the people I'm having lunch or dinner with enjoy their meals as well. Good stuff. It was one of my favorite places for Thai food in Modesto. In Modesto, there aren't that many good places to eat Thai and receive good service. However, my family and I came back here and the service was horrible. We ordered 5 dishes and it took about 45 mins for the first one to come out. We ate and waited for the other dishes, by 90 mins we didn't get any of the other dishes didn't even get anyone coming by to tell us sorry the kitchen is busy or whatever. We asked for the rest of our food to be boxed up and our check so we can leave. :( so sad another place off my list for food when I come back into town to visit my parents. read more

Love. My favorite Thai in Modesto is Thailand downtown, but this is a close second. Their food is great, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is good. And they deliver via Grubhub, which is nice right now. They also offer chicken breast as a protein option, which is nice. Everything was going ok, the pad thai was decent, the ambiance was cool, the place was pact but then a BIG OL COCKROACH ran across the floor to the bar, I guess he was thirsty because he was moving pretty fast. My date actually is the one who spotted him, she was appalled, I was so embarrassed because it was my idea to try this place out. Being the gentleman that I am I pulled the bartender to the side and let him know inconspicuously. He then proceeded to to go stomp the roach to death and tried to tell us it was a cricket! Look I'm from the hood, I know what a roach is, and this was a big one. Needless to say my date did not touch another bite of her yellow curry which she really was impressed with anyway and I didn't finish my food either. When I told the server that she didnt want her food anymore he didn't seem to care and still changed me full price for everything, honestly if he would have comped her meal I wouldn't be writing this review, i very rarely post a negative review, I just dont go back to a place I'm not happy with. When I first moved to Modesto I had little hope of finding any good ethnic places that were a dime a dozen in the Bay Area. So when I found this place and it was right across the street from where I live.. I was pleasantly surprised. I've eaten at the restaurant and gotten take out multiple times and I've never been disappointed. One of the best things about this place is that when you ask for food to be spicy, they actually make it spicy. My go to is always Pad Thai.. but I also love the panang curry, the green curry, the kung pao tofu and the soup. The food comes out fast, has good flavor and there is usually enough for two! The only downside about this restaurant is that it's little more pricey compared to the usual Thai restaurants. read more

The place is very nice inside, and the green curry w/ eggplant was delicious :-) If your a little sensitive to spice make sure to get the mild because the medium was making me sweat. This place was so great. I took my mom here for her birthday, thinking it was going to be different. I was pleasantly surprised at how upscale and flavorful it was. Their vegetarian dishes are just as good as the ones with meat. It is a bit on the more expensive side, but well worth the cost. We wanted to try something new and were very happy we did. The atmosphere is relaxing with light music in the background. Our server was very attentive. The hibiscus margarita was delicious and strong. The hibiscus mojito may be my new favorite drink. The shrimp spring rolls are light and very fresh. The chicken potstickers were crispy. This place is now called "Thai Thyme" and located in the Raley's plaza. The menu is pretty extensive and with reasonable prices. They have some non-Thai cuisine items like mongolian beef, orange chicken, etc to cater to a wider palate. We ordered the angel chicken wings, som thum (papaya salad), lard nah noodles, and curry catfish. All items were delicious and they were able to give me the level of spiciness that I crave. The flavors aren't as authentic as what you might find in the Thai Town restaurants of Hollywood,CA but Thai Thyme gets pretty darn close. You can also order takeout or delivery service. I haven't tried the home delivery yet, but I took a menu because I definitely plan to in the future.
