Tasty Diner is not so tasty, My best friend and I wanted to grab a bite to eat after work back in June 2021. She ordered the pizza burger. I ordered a simple eggs benedict. We were in shocked to find MOLD on the entire burger bun of her pizza. It was absolutely disgusting. The witress tried to convince us it wasn't mold but we know what mold is and what it looks like. Since my last few orders that were decent, there has been a significant drop in quality and timing. It took them 1 hour and 10 minutes to deliver a bacon & egg on a roll and an order or fries. Additionally to them taking forever, the food was ice cold. I also paid for an extra egg because like I said last time for 5 dollars and change they could give you more egg on your sandwich, well they gave me what looked like even less after paying for an extra egg and the bacon was chewy and fatty. read more

The Chef didn't skimp out on expensive ingredients (ie avocado), eggs + beans + everything else was cooked to the right extent, good portion size - it was definitely worth the price. Ate in here and the whole experience was very mediocre. The decor suggests they're trying a little harder than other diners to set themselves apart. Unfortunately the rustic decor doesn't save them from their faults. You'd expect some decent diner sized portions when ordering any egg dish. I mean you pretty much almost get the same thing regardless of what diner you go to. Not here though, the prices are slightly higher and their portions are substantially smaller. They did douse my entire plate in way too much hollandaise sauce. The server seemed like he was the owner and was making an effort but it seemed like he was just rushing us. Sat us down, handed us menus and then walked away for 30 seconds came back with a pad to take our order. I'm not sure what patrons he's used to having, but I certainly can't read through a diner menu in 30 seconds and make a decision. The service is lacking. There is only one waiter at lunchtime to wait on all the tables. If you want more coffee, napkins, water, more anything, he is always running around. He never comes over to check on the tables in our experience. But, of course, when he rudely slams the check on the table, he delivers a big "Thanks." Been coming here for years - Tasty's is a neighborhood staple. Their breakfast menu and their Roma panini is something I consistently get and it's delicious. Service here is usually great, too. Casual environment, good food, good service. It is on the pricier side for a diner but you will be leaving here with leftovers - portion size is good. Its chocolate, well, Nestle's but i'd prefer the latter than chocolate syrup any time. Chicken Panini is good Burger Panini waffle fries Dessert: DO NOT ORDER THE FRIED ICE CREAM!!! What they gave me was a roll, and actual roll of bread with sesame and fried chocolate ice cream inside together with oil running in the ice cream...disgusting...(look at pics posted. On Seamless, I ordered a Cheeseburger ($6.25) Deluxe with sweet potato fries (+$4.00). It was cooked correctly, and came faster than ever (about 20minutes). But. The fries were overcooked. Burned even. Come on! For $4.00 I get lettuce, tomato and burnt fries. Not cool. This is the second time I've ordered for delivery from Tasty's. The first time they forgot my order and from start to finish it took over an hour and a half. And I live 4 blocks away! Acai bowls are ridiculously bad... thought I could say a few bucks because their acai bowls are only 8 bucks compared to QWNs cafe and CREATE's ~12 dollar bowls with tax. But holy shit. It was the first gorgeous Saturday of the year so my girlfriend and I decided to take a long walk around the neighborhood and we stumbled upon Tasty's Diner. I don't miss much about growing up upstate but the one thing I do miss is Stewart's. Stewart's is a small chain of convenient stores that makes it's own ice cream and sodas. As a kid there was nothing better than a cold Stewart's Root Beer in their signature glass bottles. So as soon I as found out Tasty's carried it I knew this place was great. We ordered 2 root beers and 2 cheese burger deluxes and with a generous tip came out to be $20 which was a great deal. The burgers are made in house which is a nice diversion from the normal frozen patties you get at a lot of diners. The fries were fresh and not greasy at all. Our waitress couldn't be friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel so relaxed. If possible i would give this no stars at all. I used to come here very often with friends and family; my family would always order for delivery despite the amount of time the delivery always took we were always very nice and never got upset and even gave a good amount tip. Not too long ago my sister and i ordered food from this establishment or at least tried to, when we called a women picked the phone up and had a very heavy greek accent there was obviously a language barrier so she couldn't understand our order instead of maybe grabbing someone who would be able to take down our order she cursed at us over the phone saying " FUCK YOU!! " and then hung up. I could not believe that i was being spoken to like that after the amount of years my family/friends have been going there. When i went into the dinner to address the situation that had happen i was cursed at some more and got kicked out. Before leaving i asked one of the waiters who she was and come to my surprise it was the Owner of Tasty's Dinner herself, as a OWNER of a business i would NEVER talk to a customer like that. Local Guy here, i usually do not comment on diners. So this is basically my first. tonight I went to Tasty Diner and I honestly can say all I had was a cheese burger and a chocolate shake yeah I know big deal. But in my opinion the burger was cooked perfect I asked for medium rare and that is how i got it,most places you order med rare and you either get med to med well. The shake was nice and thick and the price fit my budget for a late night bite. I recommend visiting this place they have a pretty good menu that should satisfy your late night cravings. Stopped in here to grab a quick dinner. I gotta say- the service was excellent. Had a male waiter, didn't get his name but he was very attentive and very polite. We were seated immediately and the food came very fast. The diner looks very clean and neat as well. I had ordered a typical BLT and I asked for the bacon really well done and that's exactly how I got my order. I love when they get bacon orders perfect lol So yea- definitely a good experience here! Ok. So hopefully this is a one time thing. Yesterday at 12:14 AM I place an order for a BLT, a tuna sandwich and French fries. My estimated delivery time was around 1-1:30. I waited till around 2. And I gave yelp a call to see what was exactly up with the delivery. I just assumed since 4th of July eve, they were probably busy and the delivery was taking long due to that. They said my order should arrive in about 10 mins so my expected delivery time was 2:12 Am. Now I am waiting and it's 2:30 so this time, I called the diner itself. I understand it wasn't entirely the staffs fault, but I was trying to be understanding and she was basically making it seem like it's my fault. She claimed that someone had actually picked up my order, but she also made it seem like he was on the way. At which point I was confused, so you are saying my delivery was delivered. But then she also said he is on the way. I was super annoyed but also super hungry. I had placed the order at 12:14 and when I made the call it was around 2:40. So I asked for my food to be delivered again. So now the guy finally gets to me at like 3AM with both deliveries. The first delivery which the girl on the food claimed was picked up by my male "roommate". I live alone and I had clearly stated to give me a call when he arrived. It may have been a serious of miscommunication or them having a high volume of deliveries. I wish they would have been more clear about what was exactly happening instead of just throwing random excuses at me. I used to order from them about 3 times a week and I have never had issues before and personally love the food too.
