Tatte came recommended to me from a friend that went to school in Boston, and I can't recommend it as a brunch spot enough! This location was right by the water and had a longer line Sunday morning. The inside is modern and clean white, giving off almost a Parisian flair. The case is filled with beautiful baked goods, and a chalkboard menu features some delicious hot breakfast and brunch. I opted for the yogurt parfait and butter croissant. The croissant was absolutely perfect. Had so many layers and a fluffy, buttery inside with a crumbly, flaky outside. It was a treat to have one! I also loved their unique yogurt. It's a thicker, creamier yogurt than greek yogurt that's tart and sour. It's topped with fresh fruit and seeds and incredibly filling! It was a great pairing with the croissant. I also ordered a chai latte - it was delicious, but nothing out of the ordinary. My boyfriend got the croissant breakfast sandwich and loved it. I have a place at Pier 4 in Boston.... lucky me, because when I stay here, Tatte is next door to me! The food is gorgeous and so much sugar (my favorite). The servers are so helpful... they give me advice on what travels well, etc. I take their yummy goodness to events, parties, etc. And the vibe is super cool, the long wooden tables, coffee house music and the scent of a bakery. The food is always great at Tatte. The latte was tasty. I took a star off because I asked for the separate GF menu and the cashier refused to give me one until I told her I know they have them. The pastry section should not be exposed to open air and should be enclosed. Not sure why this location has such a flawed design. Service and ambiance were ok. Standard for a pastry shop. When it comes to the dozens of Tattes scattered across Boston, Seaport offers one of the best vibes. The cleanliness of the inside compounded with the splendid view gives visitors an air of relaxation. It might just be my imagination but the fruit cup tasted better too! I dropped by Tatte for a quick lunch during a conference. I got there early (~11:30am), and the cafe was soon filled up with lunch customers. I got my favorite smoked salmon tartine, a lemonade, and a chocolate sandwich. The tartine looked a bit different in composition to the one I've had in Harvard Square, but it was still pretty good if a bit on the salty side. The chocolate sandwich is a cocoa nib shortbread with some cream inside. Quite good. The bottled lemonade lemonade is a bit sweet but tastes the same as other Tatte's. Tatte is consistent as usual and a solid option for pastries, drinks, and food. read more

Such a cute Seaport cafe with great service and exceptional food. I tried the famous BLAT and was surprised at how good it was. Bacon was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned and the vegetables were very fresh. The sandwich also had a generous portion of avocado and was served on toasted challah. Took a risk with non-traditional ingredients and completely nailed it. Bravo! They also have pretty good drinks. I tried the hibiscus tea, and while it was unsweetened, it was extremely refreshing. I usually don't go for tea that isn't sweetened, but this one doesn't even need sweetener. The matcha is also very tasty. Overall 10/10 in every category. read more

Stopped by for breakfast to-go and to try some pastries on my way out of Boston, if I had had time to try everything I would've! Ordered the soft scrambled eggs with goat cheese mousse and sun-dried tomatoes, came with a side of sourdough toast. I'm sure the experience of eating the olive oil dressed tomatoes is a lot less messy dining in, but it was still really good, and the acidity of the tomatoes was well balanced with the creamy goat cheese and buttery eggs. As for pastries, I tried the cherry and cream cheese danish, the apple turnover, the raspberry tea cake, and the pecan praline shortbread cookie. Everything was really delicious, but I was especially impressed with the tea cake and the apple turnover. Overall I enjoyed everything I tried, and would love to dine in next time I'm in town. read more

I walked into Tatte Bakery & Cafe on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I was first in awe of the beautiful floor tiling. But beyond looks of the establishment, I was more impressed with the looks of the food. My eyes were drawn to the fruit tart, which I promptly ordered. White the fruit tart was aesthetically pleasing, it didn't taste much different from a standard fruit tart. In fact, I was somewhat unhappy with the whole strawberry they placed on top of the pastry; I had to disassemble the fruit tart to eat it. read more

Anytime I find a Tatte bakery during my travels it brings me such joy! The freshest baked goods and food ever. Their pistachio croissant reminds me of being in Paris you walk up to order and then they bring the food to you or pass your baked goods to you service is efficient and line typically moves fast. Really cute place but terrible service which was super disappointing. This place was highly recommended especially being a tourist, and it didn't meet any of the expectations. We ordered food that took 30 minutes to even come and apparently they never even had our name down after we ordered and paid?? Finally got the food and someone who seemed like a manager but certainly didn't act like one, brought our food and when it wasn't right she acted like it was more of an inconvenience for her! What a great spot with an uplifting ambience. We came here for a breakfast with friends and we got to experience two locations. I can't express enough how fresh all of the pastries and breads were, and the drinks! From lattes to coffee to juices. It was so exciting and delicous, it's a must go to when in Boston. The croissant sandwich was beyond fresh. The dessert pastries were just perfect, especially the elephant ear and the queen (something). They also had a rainbow cake thing at the front that we shared and I'm SO glad we did! The corn beef hash was wow. We just loved it here. I will say that the location with the factory attached to it where you see the workers making things was my favorite location. It felt cozier and more personal from the start. This Tatte is the bees knees! The ambiance, decor, service, and food were absolutely on point when it came to the perfect bakery and cafe experience! The pastries/deserts were on point, especially the cheesecake (pictured), and the coffee was a fantastic respite from the New England cold. I haven't yet tried the entrees and other dishes but that's next on my list! The only qualm I have is with how busy this place can be, but I guess that's a testament to how great it is! read more

Stopped by for an amazing breakfast. There was a long line to order, but it moved fast. A separate person took our pastry order while we waited in line, and then we ordered our food/drinks at the register. Our drinks were ready in about 5 min, and food was brought to our table in about 10 min. The iced halwa latte was good- not too sweet. The corn spinach and egg dish was amazing. The bread tasted fresh, it was soft, yet crispy. The spinach and corn were cooked just right, and paired well with the egg and spicy oil. Also tried the brownie- which was super fudgy and not overly sweet, and the raspberry turnover, which was tasty. I will be back to try more items on the menu! read more

I loved this place so much. We ate here 2 days in a row while visiting Boston. They have so many gluten free options which is nice. My favorite was the Shakshuka. I love the tomatoes and spice flavors in here and they will even serve with gluten free bread. I also loved their iced Matcha latte. It comes unsweetened which I actually prefer. My husband enjoyed the Breakfast Sandwich and my kids loved the scrambled eggs with a Jerusalem bagel. They also have fresh amazing pastries. I had to try the gluten friendly strawberry tea cake. It's been busy both times but there is a lot of tables inside and outside and the long lines move fast. The cashiers and bus lady were super friendly and helpful. read more

My friends and I came here for lunch before exploring ICA yesterday - it's one of their favorite city restaurants I think. I looked it up and it's actually a small chain, there are a few Boston locations and even some out-of-state ones. Also it's pronounced "TAH-tee" not "tatt-tee," I had been pronouncing it wrong, whoops. The whole menu looked delicious but I got the prosciutto and fig sandwich. My friends are vegetarian and one got the peach and ricotta toast, which looked amazing, and the other got the corn potato pancake sandwich, which was my second choice, and which also looked really good. They have a lot of outdoor tables, my friends said originally during the pandemic they had only been doing takeout and the bathroom was not open; yesterday (9/3/21), however, both indoor and outdoor seating was open, and so were the bathrooms. We ate outdoors and they will bring you your food and also clear your table when you are done eating. My only regret is not ordering dessert, their desserts looked amazing! But we had a long day in Boston ahead and I didn't want to mess up my stomach (Crohn's). The tiramisu, I think it was, especially looked good. read more

We have tried most of the options on their menu and the food was delicious. Came to Tatte during my Seaport Hotel stay. I was pretty excited to taste their iced latte's. I did my research beforehand on their menu and had already decided on which latte to go with. I ordered an Iced Black Sesame Latte and asked for half and half (Breve). The cashier stated that she was unable to give me that milk choice. I asked her if it was because they didn't carry it, and she stated that they did carry it. She went to ask the Barista since I was persistent if she could ask. She came back and let me know that the barista said no. I looked around and saw a cart with half and half sitting for anyone to help themselves. I then asked if I could get the Iced Black Sesame latte with no milk and I'll pour it myself. Again she stated that she could not do that. I'm not sure if the latte is premade but I found it shocking that it couldn't of been done. Half and half is an ice breaker for me, so I decided to walk out. I understand if there is no half and half milk, but they did carry it and just told me it wasn't doable with no explanation. read more

Staying in the Seaport area, and the Yelp reviews convinced us to try this for breakfast. My wife absolutely loved her breakfast plate with the spinach, corn, and egg. She couldn't get enough of it. I was pretty into the breakfast sandwich as well. The bacon had intense flavor. I didn't love the coffee. I didn't hate it either. I was a little let down that the "large" wasn't that big. Pretty standard as far as Tattes go, which is to say, very very solid. Strolled over for brunch before my bus back to NYC, and this was the perfect final hurrah. I've had the shakshuka before and liked it; this time, I got the version with lamb meatballs, which was SUCH a move. (Got it without the labneh bc I'm lactose-intolerant, but I'm sure it would be delicious with it in.) So deliciously paired with the thick cut bread slices. Writing this review is making me crave it right now. I also got an iced halva decaf latte which was DELICIOUS! Big fan of halva and it fit great in a coffee drink. I just had the most unfortunate experience at the Seaport location. I love Tatte, and order the same thing every time - the smoked salmon, egg and avocado. However I request it on a plate (so not on a challah roll), and with no dressing. It's super yummy. (Photo from the last time I successfully ordered it a week ago) Today I was told I could no longer make any changes to my order. I asked if I could just get no dressing, because I can certainly take the rest off of the roll. Again, I was told no. I mentioned I had done this as recently as last weekend, and I've also made this request at the Beacon Hill and Charlestown locations with no issue. The woman helping me checked with the manager, who checked with the chef, who also said I couldn't make any substitutions to anything. (And the manager wouldn't address me, but rather stood right in front of me and told the woman taking the order, 'tell her she can't....). So after quite a bit of time wasted, I can confirm I will never come back to this location. And I suggest anyone who isn't prepared to order exactly off the menu skip it as well. The inflexibility and the arrogance from the first moment I made the request was disappointing. read more
