The pistachio latte was heavenly. The muesli was a nice breakfast option that was filling without sitting heavily. Food came out quickly. The Tatte atmosphere is unmatched. So airy and we'll decorated. I visit every time I'm in town. Try the shakshuka it's absolutely delicious. read more

There was line before they were even open if that says anything at all. It moved quickly, but the interior is small so it gets a little stuffy in there. Luckily there are cases of drool worthy pastries to oogle over while waiting. I tried the strawberry turnover and iced mocha. The strawberry turnover was flaky and filled with real strawberry puree. Every bite was perfection! The iced mocha tastes like espresso, milk, and cocoa powder - no unnecessary added sauces or syrups; I would definitely order this again! read more

This is about a 3 1/2. We used to live in Kendall Square but moved about 10 years ago. That Kendall Square Tatte had excellent baked goods and hot breakfast foods like the shakshuka. We were in Boston recently and went to a couple of Tattes in Boston. We got oat milk in the latte when none was asked for so the presumption would be cow's milk. The baked goods are still delicious regarding flavor (almond and pistachio croissant). However, they did not seem to be freshly baked as in the past. read more

This place was so so, I would definitely come here for the coffee but the food items I would skip. It was extremely loud I couldn't even hear the cashier while she was talking maybe 1 foot away. It's basically impossible to find a table so you might as well get it to go. We ordered the avocado toast, morning bun, a Hazelnut latte and a black drip coffee. The poached egg was not poached at all it was completely over cooked and hard in the middle. The morning bun was good nothing amazing. 10 minutes after they opened we were told they were out of the two breakfast items we ordered (totally understandable NBD) . So we waited for coffee - an iced americano and a vanilla latte were ordered. Both, forgettable and the vanilla latte had simple syrup with no vanilla which I found interesting. After our re-ordered food was delivered we sat down to eat. Nothing like iced cold hash brown, half-melted/cold cheese on "sandwich" that had half a loaf of bread as the two slices, and "toast" colder than the east coast air. Building is cool. Pastry was wonderful. Overall a pretty forgettable experience for our first time to Boston. read more

Incredible breakfast sandwich alert! Like woah, what are the rest of these places doing? They should take note from Tatte Bakery & Cafe. We managed to order takeout from here after picking up a relative at the airport. The shop is smack dab in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, though it appears they have multiple locations. During COVID, they only let in one person/group at a time to order. The business, and its patrons for that matter, were respectful of one another. Back to this breakfast sandwich. Eggs your style, Vermont cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, housemade sourdough. Lawdy Miss Clawdy, this may have been the best breakfast sammie I shoved down my throat in 2020. The recommended over medium egg oozed all over my face and hands as I picked up this behemoth and boy, it was a glorious occasion. The sourdough bread was nothing short of phenomenal. 10/10 For three sandwiches, a pastry and two coffees I felt the price was high. However, the quality here was second to none. Every now and again, you gotta pay for top quality. Would love nothing more to return here one day and have a proper dining experience. But in all honesty, I'd settle for that breakfast sandwich in my lap any time! read more

We went to Tatte in downtown for breakfast. The place is cute and very spacious, even though there is not a lot of tables (not sure if irmos due to covid) Their sweets and pastries look amazing and we were planning to try them but we ended up getting to food from the breakfast we ordered. I had the zucchini, corn and potatoes bowl and it was very beautifully presented. The taste was ok but it was quite cold so I think it could be better if it was warmer. I thought about asking if it was supposed to be like that and ask if they could warm it yo but they were quite busy so I ended up eating that way, which I regretted later. I might giver it another try best time I'm in Boston! read more

If you live in Boston, you know about Tatte! I've reviewed a few of their other locations and all of them are consistent in both quality, taste, and portion size. Tatte has a great menu with something for everyone! The food is all made fresh on site. They have a solid selection of all-day breakfast. Breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, and scrambles. On the weekends, they do offer a "brunch" menu. Their cold brews and espresso are also phenomenal and pair perfectly with their breakfast offerings and pastries. I'm a huge fan of their Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. It's filled with eggs- your way, juicy tomato, baby arugula, Vermont cheddar, & avocado. It is a great size portion, you certainly won't leave here hungry! For those looking for lunch options, you won't be disappointed! They have a solid selection of fresh and unique sandwiches, tartines, fresh salads, soup, flatbreads, and a wide variety of plates. My personal go-to for lunch or an early, light dinner is the Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich- add prosciutto! It's made with fresh mozz, juicy tomato, crisp baby arugula, & pine nut pesto. The prosciutto is a small up charge, well worth it! Their pastry and bakery selection is truly massive. They have a plethora of fresh breads, tarts, brownies, cookies, scones, monkey bread, cakes, loafs, buns, croissants, tiramisu, donuts, and cookies! Everything is baked and made fresh on-site, nothing is stale or old. The commitment to quality here is very apparent. If you dine in, be prepared for a bit of a line. They move it quickly and are incredibly efficient. Table service is excellent if you dine in. They happily bring the food to your table. They also have a nice outdoor patio. We stopped in for "Brunch" today. It was extremely busy, but the staff was like a well-oiled machine. Don't let the line discourage you, it moves quickly! Be sure to snag a table inside or on the patio, as they are constantly busy. We dined inside as the patio was completely full, no big deal. We expected a crowd given the holiday weekend. Service was top-notch and the food came out piping hot and fresh. Everything is made to order. I ordered my usual: The Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. The Croissant is phenomenal, flaky yet soft inside. It held up great to the scrambled eggs, cheese, tomato, arugula, and avocado. The croissant is one of the best I have had! The guest with me ordered the Avocado Tartine. Sourdough bread piled high with fresh baby arugula, dill, radish, avocado, and poached eggs. I'm not a fan of sourdough, but it looked incredible. The eggs were done perfectly! We decided to split a small mixed-berry fruit cup. The fruit was fresh and delicious, no mushy fruit cup here! We both got an order of monkey bread to go. You have to grab a sweet treat to enjoy for later! If you're looking for a reliable, consistent, fresh, and delicious Bakery-Cafe in Boston, you must give Tatte a try! It'll be one of your new go-to spots. I know it is one of mine! They do have multiple locations in and around Boston. We loved our brunch at Tatte! A Mediterranean twist to brunch dishes, but all was very tasty and portions reasonable. My pistachio latte with oat milk was the best I've ever had! Their take on avocado toast (avocado tartine) was really good. One of our daughters had the halloumi breakfast sandwich with egg, tomato and spinach - it was quite tasty but a bit on the small side. Our other daughter had the lamb hash with poached egg and potatoes. If you like lamb, it's good and filling. But it has a strong lamb and seasonings taste so make sure you like lamb. The final dish was a house breakfast plate with added sausage- not as exciting as the others, but a solid choice nevertheless! Only issue with this location is it has limited tables so you have to get lucky or be patient! It is an authentic middle eastern locale and one of the ladies at the register was very difficult to understand, but we made it work and our experience was very good all around! We were told by a friend that we needed to go to Tatte and they were right! Tatte was delicious. It reminds me of good French pastries and coffee. The drink was smooth and sweet but not overpowering. The pastries was flaky and fresh. Yum! We sat at the tables overlooking Boston Commons and the T entrance. This was an enjoyable way to people watch and start a day of fun. read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was a decent-sized line. There were some seats available, and I love that this location offers a lot of outdoor seating options. I got the cherry and almond scone, which was well-priced considering it's Tatte ($4). However, the actual scone was dry and bland, and tasted a bit stale. read more

We stopped at Tatte on a rainy afternoon in Boston to find it absolutely packed. The bakery offers a lot of very nice pastries and cakes. I went with a lemon tart but the pear tart looked especially good with a piece of the fruit baked into it. The atmosphere was bustling, in fact so busy that we took our pastries out to a bench in the common. Clearly Tatte is a popular spot. read more

The French toast was good but a little too rich for my taste buds after a few bites so I'm glad I shared it with someone. This place is exemplary. We arrived and the line was almost out the door. They moved through it with efficiency. They offer a large menu but I LOVE that allergens and GF are clearly listed for every dish. Price is very fair. Our food came out so fast I was shocked. It was fresh and delicious. Wish I could've tried their baked goods, but I couldn't handle anything that decadent right now. Staff are attentive and friendly. Great establishment. read more

I enjoyed an egg scramble which came with prosciutto and grated parmesan cheese on top. Delicious, extremely filling. Later in the say, I had some cinnamon walnut coffee cake. Tasty! But one slice is enough for two people, so don't let the prices ($6 or more a slice) put you off. read more

Tatte has locations all over Boston and I'm sure they're all good but I just went to the one in Beacon Hill. The pastries and desserts all look delicious and the servers are very friendly. And it is not super expensive. Beware if you have a nut/peanut allergy, though. They say that everything may have come in contact with nuts, but I have a peanut allergy and I had a slight reaction to the halva bomb, which isn't made of peanuts. read more

Tatte has been on my list to visit in Boston for awhile so I was excited when a location was within walking distance of our hotel. We tried everything from the seasonal drinks, to their coffee and pastries, and their breakfast sandwiches. We obviously made multiple trips to try everything haha. Sooo delicious! I had an amazing vegetarian breakfast, a pistachio croissant and a great coffee. It was such a beautiful small cafe. The workers were very friendly, and even though there was a bit of a language barrier for some, they answered all of our questions with smiles! I had a great experience at Tatte! This is not my first time at this bakery, but this is my first time at this location. The people that work here are nice and deal with the chaos well considering how busy it is. Their coffee is good--I got a cappuccino. I found about Tatte Bakery when I came to visit New York a couple years prior. Although known for their pastries, I usually go for their shakshukas. Their original is great but I highly recommend Tatte's take on the traditional shakshuka: their bacon, potato, and mushroom shakshuka. It comes with their toasted soughdough bread and it's absolutely the most hearty, warm, and delicious meal, especially during the cold winter months. This boston location is always crowded and busy but the lines go fast and the food comes out relatively quickly. Today I got the bacon, potato, and mushroom shakshuka with a side order of tiramisu and house coffee. The shakshuka was delicious as always and this time around, I noticed a lot more whole mushrooms, which was a nice texture change. Their tiramisu was perfect, not too sweet or strong in that alcoholic taste that can be present within other tiramisus. Coffee was just regular but next time I go, I want to try their winter turmeric and honey latte. Highly recommend. read more

Tatte...please be better and serve tea that is not in plastic tea bags which leach microplastics into people's drinks. We should all know by now that this is not ok. There are several Tatte Bakery locations in Boston, so we had to try it! My family and I went for brunch and got a few different items to try. I highly recommend the shakshuka - very flavorful, served with bread, and just delicious! I really enjoyed all of the pastry items too! I was disappointed with the coffee and lattes we tried, but to be completely honest, I couldn't find a decent cup of coffee at all while in Boston. Overall, we had a great first time experience at Tatte and would be back! read more

Tatte's are everywhere in Boston! I came here before my freedom trail tour in the am. I absolutely loved my peach granola yogurt bowl! The latte was also good. This particular location is very busy and loud. The line does go fast, they have a good system. I wish there were more seats available. read more

This was my first time visiting a tatte bakery and cafe and it didn't disappoint! Unfortunately we got there at a busy time and there's limited seating inside and outside. I got the iced latte and breakfast sandwich. The iced latte was perfect with it not being too sweet or having too much ice! The breakfast sandwich was very filling even with it cut in half I felt like I got two breakfast sandwich since the bread was thick. We got our order pretty quickly despite the line being long. Overall would stop again maybe at a different location with more seating options! Plus I would try more of the pastry if my sandwich wasn't so filling to begin with! read more

My friend did not like her matcha drink; she felt it tasted stale. We asked the manager, a very kind blonde lady, if we could exchange it for another drink and she immediately put in the new order. The new drink (honey halva latte) was a lot better. We appreciate a manager that prioritizes customer satisfaction. Really enjoyed this place! While, we were in Boston we went here twice because it was so good! The first time we stopped in on a Sunday around 11:30 AM. There was a long line and not much seating inside. We just took our food to go. I got the Turkey Avocado sandwich. I loved it! I thought it was delicious and a good size for ~$12. I also got an almond croissant and another delicious pastry that were a good size and so good. All their food sounded delicious! So that is why we went again. The second time I got the squash, broccoli rice bowl and some shortbread cookies. All so good and a reasonable price. Our food came out quickly both times and the workers were very nice. I would recommend this place and would love to go back and try more things on their menu! Everything looks and sounds so good! read more

I didn't try the coffee myself, but my partner really enjoyed hers, which isn't surprising given Thinking Cup's reputation as one of Boston's standout coffee shops. We as in my boyfriend ordered both the cold Maine-style lobster roll with mayonnaise and the warm Connecticut-style lobster roll. The positives: * The bun was a perfect 10/10 soft, buttery, and toasted perfectly. * The lobster tasted fresh. * The lobster-to-bun ratio was decent, although I personally prefer the more generous portions you get in Maine. * The atmosphere was great with baseball on the TVs and a fun Boston vibe. Very seaport forward. The downsides: * The Connecticut-style roll barely had any butter and definitely needed more. * The lobster was slightly overcooked probably by a few minutes which made it a bit tougher than it should have been. * At around $40 per lobster roll, I expected better execution. The clam chowder was also disappointing. I kept wondering where the clams were because I barely tasted any. It was very thick and mostly tasted like corn. Even after adding salt and pepper, it didn't improve much. Overall, I expected more for the price. There were definitely some highlights, especially the bun with fresh lobster and the atmosphere, but the food didn't quite live up to the cost. That said, I'll give it another try because maybe this was just a fluke. I always like giving restaurants a second chance, and I'm hoping this experience was the exception rather than the norm.

Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail.
