Seems like another good crowd here this afternoon! There was Plenty of free parking! The decor of the restaurant was very pleasing! We were so Happy to see our favorite waitress "Kat" on duty!!! The Buffalo chicken pizza was very tasty and had some heat! The boneless Buffalo chicken was very good and we enjoyed teriyaki sauce it was dipped it! This is the 1/2 sheet of Nachos, which were really awesome! They were made with plenty of good ingredients! The bathroom was clean and well attended to. Pretty standard local bar. Kids were all satisfied with their kiddie cheeseburger and grilled cheese, kids ages were 7-10 years old, so enough to satisfy their bellies. French noon soup was delicious and the half portion nachos are more than enough for 2-4 people, they were huge! Lots of TVs to see the Olympics and local sports. I would go back but if you're not a bar/tavern food person, may not be the best place for you. read more

Enjoyed happy hour and food. The appetizer big pretzel with beer cheese is more than enough for two or three people and was warm and delicious. I had the shrimp and cheesy grits and the best edition of this favorite dish of mine I have had yet! The ahi tuna with doodles served rare was also - per my husband- delicious although I ate the zoodles. There's plenty of bar seating for happy hour and a friendly bartender. Ate lunch here today. 11/20/23 very good sandwiches and extensive menu. Pizza too. Have been coming in occasionally for years. Nice friendly staff. Menu is a step above usual bar food. Locals love it. I recommend it. You won't get ripped off by outrageous prices. Give it a shot! read more

Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the Seared Ahi Wonton Salad. The tuna was prepared perfectly, the salad ingredients fresh and the dressing was just the right balance of sweetness and tang. The service was quick and attentive, even with a full lunch crowd. The chatter of the many patrons echoed throw the room as everyone seemed to be enjoying their dining experience as much as I was enjoying mine. read more

I could sip a beer and listen to him all day! $6.95 fried pickles that I snacked on for the rest of the night! Generous portion to say the least! Mike and Jenn are a great duo behind the bar. They both checked in on us to make sure we were taken care of; teamwork at its finest! This is my new go-to spot. I can't wait to return for more fun! With everything going on and considering these tough times, I observed all the employees going above and beyond. Quite disappointing! We're local and been looking for a place to grab a good bite. Based on all the good reviews, we checked out the Tavern. The young girl who greeted us was a little snippy especially when we asked her to sit us at a booth vs. a bar table with chairs to sit 6 or more people- there were two of us! Service was slow at best which was surprising since it was 4p and most people were at the bar drinking. Place was loud it was difficult to talk across the table in our booth. this was supposed to be the "slice of the day".... i LOVE the cheeseburger slice and was told by adam the bartender that he doesn't make the pizza only makes the drinks when i mentioned that it was missing parts that make it a cheeseburger slice and then brought me everything that was supposed to be on it on another plate and told me i could make it. the complete disregard for wanting to make it right and the arrogance was unnecessary. hopefully if you go you get shane because he's one of the best to do it. read more

Came to Tavern in the Forest on 10/20 to watch football with some friends. We all wanted to sit together but arrived at different times. Worst service. Staff have horrible attitudes walking around saying we are too busy when the restaurant was empty. Waited 10 minutes for someone greet us. After the server gave us an attitude we walked out and will never return. read more

They don't listen to their online ordering service. I've ordered online several times and there's almost ALWAYS something wrong. For months, I ordered gluten free pizza and they provided me a regular pizza. Tonight, I ordered a burger and asked for no cheese and to add onions, mushrooms, and jalapeños. Well they put the cheese on anyway, didn't give mushrooms or jalapeños, and even took away the lettuce! Not sure why it's so hard to read tickets here but apparently it is. I guess I'll have to start calling in my order and see if that changes anything. read more

First we shared an onion soup on a cold day...perfect date soup to share I had the white pizza, and the crust reminded me of NY style, chewey with a crunch, flavorful crust. Hubster had fish and chips, light and flakey batter and he said perfect fries. Ordered a Hendricks G&T and had to send the first one back, T was flat. Watched the bartender check, and then go to the back to swap out his tank, our terrific server Hayley made sure the second once was perfect...THANK YOU! Nobody wants to send anything back, much less a drink, but they made sure it was right. Manager Kristen came by our table to ask how everything tasted. I've been coming here for two years now. I love local restaurants and supporting them. This place is right down the block from where we live. They closed down under new ownership to remodel and it turns out we know the owner Aaron. Their food is always great. I love the pizza and the fried fish platter. They have awesome drinks. But HENRY!!!!!!!! Our waiter kicks ass! He takes the time to ensure your meal is on point, your drinks are full and went out of his way to get us Texas Pete sauce for our meal. Who does that? He does!!!! He is always friendly, smiling and well, I just can't say enough good about him. After a few trip to the this spot I am really impressed and like it. I'm unsure where the lower reviews way back when came from (perhaps it changed hands--I'm new to the area and wouldn't know). Ive tried the wings, burger, Philly, and pizza and each are better than expected. It's unapologetically bar food but really good quality bar food. There are nice little touches like ranch is amazing (homemade obviously). It's a bit loud, but hey it's pub style. Plus there is ample indoor and covered outdoor seating. Tavern in the forest is kind of like a decent hometown bar with not a lot of extra Frills or fancy stuff. But it always has cold beer on tap as well as a full bar. The food is always decent no. It is bar type food and you're not going to find anything really fancy but that's not why you're going to go to this establishment. Went today for the bottomless Mimosas and Brunch. Needless to say not much to choose from in the Breakfast menu. Brunch Mix between breakfast and lunch, generally in the late morning Brunch is a combination of breakfast and lunch, and regularly has some form of alcoholic drink served with it. It is usually served anytime ... Our waitress had attitude, when I ask for more of a breakfast menu, she stated to me, "The menu is what it is". Well, here it is at 11:30 in the morning drinking Mimosas with Nachos. I will stick with "Blueberries" restaurant for my Sunday Brunch adventure. read more
