Great restaurant! Theres great food and a great vibe at this place. I recommend making a reservation because this place gets pretty busy. When you sit down they serve you incredible hummus and pita. The hummus tastes very fresh and lemony and the pita is super warm and seasoned. You don't even need pita you can just eat the hummus with a spoon! What we ordered: -tzatziki: I love their tzatziki! It is very garlicky and creamy. -Kyma salad: this salad is less of a salad and more of just an assortment of seafood and roasted vegetables on a bed of lettuce. It was amazing! This salad is huge! I recommend sharing it. It has octopus, grilled calamari, shrimp, asparagus, roasted peppers, tomatoes, white beans, radishes, and a few other things. I definitely recommend ordering this when you go here! Best salad I've ever had! -lemon potatoes: this side dish is incredible. The potatoes are soaked in lemon and baked. They're delicious! We picked Taverna Kyma for my 70th birthday celebration. There were 12 adults (and some kids), more than half from out-of-town. We chose the family-style menu and were absolutely blown away by the evening. The food kept coming out but was well-paced. Everything was delicious. The appetizers were amazing, the meats were cooked perfectly and the deserts a perfect ending to the meal. Thank you to the staff, especially Alexander who led the wait staff. We went to Boys Market and made a Greek salad with fresh bread. We didn't feel like cooking, so placed a "to go" order. We shared the stuffed peppers, order of pork souvlaki with fries and rice, and dolmades. We also got some free pita bread and hummus. The stuffed peppers were very big and tasty. The rice had a wonderful flavor. Everything was very good! It was packed very carefully and was hot when we got it home. read more

Been here a few times, food is expensive for Greek food. They ALWAYS screw up take out. Check your order before you leave. And you have to ask for pita bread if you order hummus or tzatziki, they won't give it to you. Sad read more

Went on a Tuesday night and the place was quiet. Tried to order the Bomba shrimp which I was informed is off the menu and they are in the process of printing new menus. So I ordered the Shrimp Saganaki , feta, garlic, tomato, basil & vodka, it was just fair, only 3 nice size shrimp. My wife ordered the Greek Horiatiki Salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, kalamata olives, topped with feta cheese, olive oil, vinegar & oregano, grilled chicken breast. Food and service was mediocre, ordered lamb chops medium rare, came out raw and was not seasoned well as it was bland. Included lemon potatoes and veggies. Returned after a long time. The wait we can see was way too long. Valet parking makes it so accessible. Staff was very attentive. The assistant manager, John, was also checking to make sure everyone had enough to eat. We had the family style dinner for 4. Many courses and each one unique and delicious. John explained the meat course is cooked when we are ready for it and to our liking. Of course we left with a doggie bag. Then a dessert platter came!! Being from out of town our friends took us to Taverna Kyma for lunch and what a great spot. We got to the restaurant pretty early and they sat us right away with no waiting. This place exceeded all my expectations! The best part is that is walking distances from our house... what a gem for the people that live in Boca!! We started off our night with the grilled octopus which was delicious and a huge portion for an appetizer, then we shared their stuffed peppers and lamb shank... omg I can't tell which one was better... everything was so amazing I literally can't wait to go back soon!! The lamb shank was huge, we couldn't even finish it and it is served in a bed of rice pilaf... I'm literally dreaming of it right now! They give you freshly made hummus with soft/baked pita chips for the table and if that's not the best hummus I've ever had in my life... then I don't know which one is!! To end our amazing dinner we ordered a dessert recommended by our waiter, galaktoboureko, and it was like everything else, ...Amazing!! This restaurant is always busy and now I know why! I absolutely loved it!!! Not overpriced, pretty, cozy, lots of tables, inside and outside sitting. I recommend it 100%, I wish I could give them more than 5 starts!! Food and environment were amazing. The only thing that made our visit distasteful was our server Gustavo. He was inattentive, careless, and borderline rude. He tossed our drinks on the table. Never checked in on us to see how our meals were. Never asked if we wanted another drink. Made us feel like a nuisance for simply ordering for food.. This isn't something that I usually do, but I have a major complaint about this restaurant. My friends and I just had a terrible experience there. I have been going to Taverna Kyma in Boca Raton for over 15 years. A manager was rude to one of us... we returned. Another time, there was a discrepancy over a drink. The manager accommodated us, but I never ordered that drink there again. Today our server would not allow my friend to sample of the wine...they have always allowed that (and so she ordered the wine without sampling it, she didn't like it and she didn't drink it). They refused to give us two separate checks (my friends were on one, me on the other) saying that they never do that when we ALWAYS have separate checks there. When we tried to talk to our server, he was unbelievably rude to us and stormed off. There was no manager there to talk to. We are done!!! I'm sad because I loved Taverena Kyma, and it takes a lot to make me that upset, but we didn't ask for anything that we already weren't accustomed to at that restaurant. There is no reason why we have to endure the rudeness that we were subjected to. read more

Great fresh food and especially nice lunch menu. The moussaka was delicious with a crisp and tasty side salad. Others at the table enjoyed the lamb chops and the salmon. We've been several times in the past and the restaurant was packed. This Saturday evening it was not busy and the hostess who was very unfriendly tried to put us in a corner table right by the waiter station. The waiter was nice enough to move us. Food was hot and fresh but the roast lamb was bland - needed some kind of seasoning. Waiter was very nice. We just got back from Greece and never saw a Belly dancer there. More suited to Turkish or Lebanese restaurant. When you first enter a restaurant - how you are greeted by the hostess sets the tone!! More customer service training perhaps. read more

I ordered one of be flaming cheese variations and it was so new and unique. We did get the required octopus app. Not the best we've had. But it was on par for the good meal so far. The crown jewel though...... this seafood salad entree thing. It's a salad, with a shrimp, calamari, octopus, and then at the base there's a starch? Like wtf is this thing? Why doesn't it make sense when I think about it? Why can't I stop eating? Why did I unbutton my pants to eat more?
