My wife and I have eaten at many, many Greek Restaurants over the years, including several in Palm Beach County. Our only regret is that we haven't tried TK sooner than tonight after years of living in Delray. If you appreciate legitimate, authentic and mouth watering tasty classic greek dishes, then you will not find a better place in the Boca/Delray area. First, the staff actually cares and they are first class from the moment we walked into the door. Our server Matthew was a real pro, very informative and couldn't have been more attentive. The manager even came over to the table to ensure our complete satisfaction. Round out the staff with a gorgeous and very talented belly dancer! The ambiance was fine, comfortable, not too stuffy or overly opulent. Prices are very fair, you don't get the sense that this Boca operation is out to rip the customer. As for the food, absolutely outstanding, we both had the bronzini and greek salad. Large portions, perfectly cooked and superb in every way. Matt served us a complimentary greek desert which was also outstanding. The menu is extensive and interesting, so I don't think we will ever have a problem finding something new and worth considering when we come back, which will be real soon. Came here with a large group when I was in town. The pita bread and hummus to start was great and a nice touch. We then ordered a bunch of different appetizers to share and I ended with the chicken kebabs. Everything was delicious. Service and atmosphere were good too. Really happy with my meal here. We got the tzaziki , octopus and greek salad to start. I got the 1 lb whole seared snapper. It was delicious ! My husband got the lamb chops which were superb! I just noticed I never gave them a review! This is my go to restaurant in south Florida. As you can see by my check ins I'm there a lot! The atmosphere is upbeat and sometimes there is even a belly dancer! Every time my wife and I go we order so many different things. They offer 2 different sized Greek salads. Portion for 2 or family portion. They use the best feta cheese and it tastes just like your mother made it. We also order items like spinach pies, filet tips, moussaka, pasticio, shrimp skewers, and everything in between. Pricing in the restaurant is very reasonable especially for Boca Raton. The presentation of everything is also very well thought out. My waiter by request is always Ricardo. He goes out of his way to make sure every one of his tables is extremely satisfied. The manager always keeps his cool even when the place is BUSY! He also checks every order before it leaves the kitchen. Wonderful food and great experience. We had a great dinner last night here. Our waiter, Will, was delightful and very patient. Taverna Kyma has been around many years so it was worth a try. I went at 5PM with a female friend and we were given a choice of 2 tables for 2, both in less than favorable locations, because they wanted to save the tables for 4 for the dinner hour. Shortly thereafter, 2 men were seated at a window table for 4. Our waitress was busy, but charming. I ordered off the summer menu which listed specials that included salad/soup, entre, and a choice of 3 desserts. My friend ordered the mussel appetizer as her entre and wanted a side salad. She was told they didn't have a side salad but she could order the regular Greek salad, which she did. Her salad was huge, mine was a smaller and less bountiful side salad. She enjoyed her mussels, my pork souvlaki skewers came with another salad on the plate and fries. It was OK- a bit tough. I asked for the third dessert choice and was told they only had baklava and rice pudding. I got the pudding which arrived partially frozen. When I spoke to the manager about it, I was told that that is how Greeks eat rice pudding. I clarified that it wasn't just cold, it had ice in it. He offered to go back into the kitchen and taste it. No apology, no offer to replace. I didn't eat it. The waitress came and asked if I liked it and I told her it was frozen. She asked if I'd spoken with the manager and my affirmative was met with a shrug. The best part of the meal was the humus and warm pita that comes as a starter. I won't go back. read more

Our server Rodrigo was very friendly and attentive, he made our experience here very welcoming. I really enjoyed the Greek salad, the tomatoes were vibrant red & fresh. Chicken kebabs were spiced perfectly. Baklava was sweet and delicious. They offer complementary hummus with pita which was very nice. The portions are fairly large so we did take our food to go. All the food was very fresh and flavorful! We will definitely be coming back soon for some authentic Greek cuisine. It's not about the food, it's delicious authentic Greek without American input. As in Greece, no lettuce in the Greek salad. It's about all the crass cheesy management gaffs that are a turnoff beginning with being unable to park your car even though there are lots of empty spaces.. It must be by valet. no price posted so It's when your car is returned to you, you get hit with a charge or no car return. Do Not go on Saturday nites. You're accosted by pushy waiters who want the order within 5 minutes of sitting down "because the kitchen is very busy". They push appetizer platters starting at @ $23. a pop. A very, very loud band and Greek singer drown out possibility of conversation. Then a cheesy belly dancer appears encouraging elderly men to stuff money down her outfit like strippers do. The money hangs off her outfit as she returns repeatedly to tables until she gets the money. A tasteless degradation. Possibly this kind of low class behavior is saved for Saturday nites . What I ordered Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) Score 2: Dolmades are grape leaves rolled with rice and onion the size of a lady finger. This was a huge ball of rice wrapped in a grape leave and had so much salt that I could hardly eat it. Sad because it was a big dish for an appetizer. Beef Kebob. Score 4: How sad. Such a perfect cut of meat; Perfectly cooked and accompanied by the traditional grilled onions and tomato. This huge dish should have score a 10 but I couldn't even eat it because of all the salt. We had the best dining experience in seventeen years together. We heard great things about Alex and he was working that night. The portions were large and each one timed perfectly. Alex explained some of the finer points of each dish and took time to explain unfamiliar menu options to us since we're new to Mediterranean food. I made a reservation on a Wednesday for a Saturday night at 7 PM. I spoke directly to the restaurant. When we arrived, there was no record of our reservation for 4 people. Being a Saturday night during a busy weekend at peak season, with many people waiting for their tables, this was disappointing, to say the least. We decided to wait, which took almost an hour. This was our 4th visit to this restaurant in the past few years. The food is very good, but the noise level is awful. Not only is the room large with many people talking, but they play, very loudly, what sounds like pop Greek music, which isn't conducive to an enjoyable dining experience and makes it almost impossible to have a conversation with your dining partners. There is an enclosed "outdoor" area, which is quieter, but there were no tables available there for us. I will have to rethink whether I'll be going there again anytime soon. read more

One word of advice: go for happy hour. I've ate here several times for dinner and paid full price for a meal. The food is fresh and well prepared, but it's a bit pricey for greek food at dinner service prices. On the other hand, if you make it for happy hour and sit at the bar, the food and drinks are less than half price. A serious win. We read all the great reviews on Yelp and gave it a try. We love Greek food so I brought my family over to eat. All 6 of us ordered the Avgolemeno soup. It was different from what we were familiar with- chicken chunks, orzo instead of rice, thinner and heavily salted broth. We tried but could not eat it. :(. Two of us were served first -and 10 minutes later two more and the last two. We ordered several dishes to share for a family style dinner. Keftedes, spanakopita, fried zucchini, saganaki, gyros and chicken kabob. Our main meal was not served together as well. The gyros and kabob and saganiki sat on the table getting cold as we waited for the rest of the food to arrive. It's a Tuesday night not a weekend. Our waitress Daniela was working all over the restaurant and gave us little attention to smooth our meal over -or try to please us. We were so thirsty after our heavily salted soup (mine had bones and cartilage in it) we could no longer wait to attract our waitresses attention so I got up and got the water pitcher from the side of the bar to serve my sons. The bartender refilled the pitcher and came over to our table to pour. we drank several glasses of water and at the end decided we could not eat any more heavily salted food :(. It was the first time that has ever happened to us! I remember my grandmother had a heavy hand with salt- but this was so very different. Don't know what else to say. Our waitress did not remove the soup from the bill or speak with a manager. We paid the bill and left. Maybe this was a one out of 100 experience - but it left us truly disappointed. read more

Lunch review: fresh and well made, a pleasant surprise on US1 in Boca Raton. They start you off with pita triangles and freshly mashed hummus, which we polished off before he took our drink order. For lunch, we both had the same thing - a Greek salad with gyro meat and a side of Tzatziki sauce. The Greek salad was huge, with no lettuce - all tomatoes, onions, olives and cukes - crunchy and delicious. In this area, this place serves really good Greek food if you are in the mood and looking for one while in the area. There is indoor and outdoor seating (but the mosquitoes are terrible). The waiter that served my guests and me was soft spoken but he got our sarcastic humor. The food is well flavored but heavy. Try not to eat so much of the bread, chips and hummus that they serve you or else you won't be able to eat the rest of the entrees. Salads and appetizers are really good here.
