    Fried oysters

On the walking route between Seattle ferry terminal and the big sports stadiums. Dropped in before game day and they were crowded but efficient. The dozen oyster sampler was incredibly fresh, definitely worth going back to. Also got the oyster po boy and the fish and chips which were excellent. Staff were very friendly and solicitous despite the place being jammed. Clearly a good work culture where servers were happy to help each other and the customer. Great place for super fresh oysters and friendly staff!

Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar is highly raved about for oysters. I came here after an event with a friend and we ordered I think 4 different types of oysters, 3 of each. They were delicious, fresh, and briny. They helped refreshed us. Obviously came here for a light snack, but everything else on their menu looked great too! Hopefully I get to try more of it next time!

Love this place!! Super chill vibe all immersed as you walk in, cozy interiors that make oh so inviting, nice brews, tasty clam chowder, fresh briny oysters, and colossal shrimp cocktail, too!! It was a bit shady outside, with lots of homeless folks begging and actually living around here on the streets. Nice once you step inside though.... It's a whole new world of goodies to take in! We had been hanging at the Seattle Museum taking in the arts and stuff and were hungry for some seafood. We are in Seattle, I understand these folks don't know much about fishing in these parts. But just maybe we can find something to eat. LOL Bartender was great, made good beer suggestions. I ended up with a nice hazy IPA. C had some white wine. I am dying to get back here soon! Nice memory here! It's worth a stop if you can get here sometime. Be sure to have some change handy, though. CHANGE!!! '26 - 45

I tried four oysters for my lunch: Pacifica - a little chewy and briny, Kumamoto - tiniest of the four I tried but pleasant tasting, Shigoku - while on the small side, a little briny and probably my second favorite, and lastly Virginica - which was a good size and definitely my favorite as it was fresh tasting and not too briny. I also split the NW chowder with my hubby who had the fish and chips - yummy but a bit thinner than I prefer, with a bit of bell pepper taste. It also has geoduck instead of oysters which he wasn't sure of but ate it anyway! He did say the fish and chips were "really good" but felt the fried were a bit soft which I concurred. Lastly, our server was spot on and so informative!

The best oysters in Seattle, bar none. For the price, quality AND level of customer service, Taylor's is gonna be near impossible to beat! Whether you're new to Seattle or in need of the freshest oysters possible, this is the place to go. Don't spend your time and hard earned money anywhere else! Come here immediately and enjoy the vibes, you'll be glad you did! I didn't write a review the first time I came here, but the second time.. I knew I had to. Going here a second time I had very high expectations coming from the first visit and the second visit, to my surprise was an even better experience! Oysters were fresh as always, and the employees deserve an A+++. Seriously. We went to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday there, and they made her day so much more special! I really appreciated that (since I hyped this place to the max) and I'm sure she did as well! I've tasted many different kinds of oysters around the US and even out of the country, but the only ones that I really remember are Taylor's, there's nothing like them, at least I tell myself "Taylor's might not be the best oysters in the world, but I haven't tasted any that were better!!"

Stopped in here before a show at Wamu. We have been to the one up on Chuckanut and wanted to see if the menu here offered more., which it did! The greeter, who was also our server was very nice and in ordering all the varieties of oysters, he gave me the whole rundown on what notes to expect from each one. Each oyster runs a little under $5. We sat at the bar right in front of where they shuck the oysters. It was a very mellow and relaxing atmosphere. Now I know that seafood is paired well with white wine, but I will say that I was disappointed with no red wine options. Even if it was one. I know I could have had a beer or mixed drink, but red wine just sounded good. Either way I skipped the alcohol and went with water. My wife ordered the Spring Salad which had apples, lemon juice and chucks of white cheddar. It was very refreshing. Last but not least(or maybe) I ordered the crab roll. It came out looking beautiful with a pile of micro greens on top(which I love), however the crab was overpowered by dill and lemon? The crab roll had more of a tuna fish flavor. I couldn't understand why you would want to mask the flavor of crab. It was very disappointing. For $30 I was hoping to have something that had the crab flavor, but it fell flat. The hand cut fries that came with it definitely helped me feel a little better. We knew what we were getting into with the menu really, it wasn't large but served its purpose. Anyone know why there are so few actual restaurants down there? We struggle to fine an actual restaurant when we go to events down in that area... Anyway this was much like the Chuckanut location, it was a nice experience, but I don't see it being worked into the rotation when we are in the area.

Just had a fantastic happy hour experience at this restaurant. The Shucker's Dozen ($43) provided a great way to taste-test the available varieties, and my sister and I were able to determine future favorites from there. We also had some baked oysters ($5 ea.), which were delightful, and the geoduck sashimi ($16), which was also very good. I have no regrets regarding our choices, and our server, identified as PM S on the receipt, lol, was fantastic. Highly recommend a visit here if you are an oyster fan.

I had an amazing experience at Taylor's Shellfish in Pioneer Square. The moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone; warm, stylish, and laid-back, with that perfect Seattle vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. Our server, Marissa, deserves her own shout-out. She was genuinely one of the best servers I've had in the city....hands down!!! Super friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable about everything on the menu. She made the whole experience feel easy and elevated. The fried oysters and baked oysters were out of this world. Perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and fresh in a way you can't fake. Easily some of the best oysters I've had in Seattle and that's saying a lot! The drinks were on point too. Great variety, balanced, and they paired perfectly with the food. Whether you're grabbing a cocktail or sticking to something simple, you're not going to be disappointed. Overall, this place is a winner. Amazing food, incredible service from Marissa, great energy, and solid drinks. I'll definitely be back!Highly recommend!

Yum! The pioneer square location is the only one with a fryer. Take advantage of the corkage fee- do a tasting at Browne beforehand & bring over a Cab Sauv Rosé or White blend. The fried oysters and oyster dip are MUSTs. This place is so uniquely Seattle. Recommend oysters in months that end in 'ber. Would be very fun to do a wines tasting & dinner here before a concert at Wamu. Staff are chill. We loved Vanessa!

Oysters and Dungeness crab were delicious. Ultra fresh & great presentation! Service was very good on this not too busy Friday night . Bar and casual dining room has several TVs. Super casual as an Oyster & seafood bar should be. This is usually my go to spots when I'm in Seattle. Fully stocked bar with solid bartenders that provide whatever you want to drink. "Service charge is included and shared with the staff. The waitress told me she doesn't get the service charge so if I wanted to tip her, I needed to do that separately.

It seems like other locations may have an ocean view but this one is still nice and cozy! Host was very kind and we decided to eat at the bar for the happy hour deal! Farmers choice happy hour oysters - fresh and tasty! No fishiness but not as flavorful as some others I've had in the area 3.5/5 Smoked oyster dip - very heavy and thick. Too strong for me. Salty and creamy and cheesy 1.5/5

Marissa made my dining experience all the more enjoyable with her knowledge and great service. Thank you for a delightful few hours on a Friday afternoon while visiting Seattle from London. I had the dozen Oyster sampler along with two additional Fat Bastard oysters, then the clams and finally tried the Geoduck Sashimi. What fun! I'm coming again next visit - Thank You

My husband and I came here cause we were craving oysters and it was my birthday. Let me tell yall the experience there was the best. We sat at the bar the bartender was awesome and over all everyone working there were super cool and very easy to talk too. We were there during happy hour and omg the oysters that we got it was hitting the spots. I think our favorite one was the fat bastard m. We had like 12 oysters to ourselves! If you like Geoduck.. you NEED to try the geoduck crudo omg we ordered like two plates of it and everything we got there was so satisfying. We tried the vodka oyster shooters that were okay but everything else was sooo good!! The ambiance there was super chill and the vibes were good. It does get pretty busy there but even when it was busy the service was still great! If you haven't gotten a chance to come try this place you need to come try!

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. Not yet, apparently. Best brunch I've had in Seattle in two years. Highly recommend.

I had a tough time with this review. I wanted to love the place. The reviews were strong overall,…read morethe service was really good. Location is nice, setup was nice, effort of the team was really nice. The food was really mediocre. I hope it was just an off night. Honestly, we struggled with $60 a dozen for oysters. I have been to 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants that didn't charge $5 an oyster. I'm okay with $40 knowing they are fresh and all of the details are going to be exceptionally curated, but I genuinely have never seen $60 and we live in LA and are from Boston. With that said, the Hamachi crudo was excellent and really well done. The sourdough bread, while really good with an herbed butter spread, was cold and it just seemed like a miss to not have warm bread when you are charging $10 for it. The Octopus appetizer was also excellent. Really tender and fresh, and a great combination of flavors with the olives and cannelinis and potatoes. The entrees were pretty disappointing overall. The blackened Ono was good, not great. Again, the inconsistency in the execution hurt it most. Flavors were good, but the grits were cold and the fish was lukewarm. The seabass was excellent, by far the best dish. The large amounts of basil and dill were maybe a bit much, but overall a really well done dish - broth was excellent, onions delicious, and fish was fresh and perfectly cooked -- crispy on outside, and super tender and lush inside. We would like to think the "short rib" was just an off-day miss. We were confused when asked if "medium-rare is okay" for a short rib. And while that might still be on us in terms of misunderstanding the dish and thinking it was a standard slow-cooked short rib -- when the dish came out, we didn't know what to do. We literally couldn't cut through the meat. While some was just the thick tendon that sometimes happen in a good piece of meat, most of the meat was really difficult to cut and super chewy on the palate. It bordered on "send it back", but I have done that maybe twice in my life. Overall flavor profiles were good, but it was pretty inedible and we just kind of let it go and shared the other entrees. The desserts were good, but certainly not really distinguishable and the entrees left a pretty sour mark. The wine list was fantastic - obviously, whomever built it has some Somm knowledge and the value was excellent. We really wanted to love this place -- and 3* is generous based on the experience/cost, but we will pragmatically look at it as an off night and let the opportunity to overcome it again at some point on another trip to the Seattle area based on its strong standing amongst Yelpers and overall consistently strong reviews.

It wasn't too hard to get a weekday reservation for 4 and it's located right on the waterfront of Pike's Place, but it was pretty easy to find street parking nearby. Overall, the food was a little inconsistent in quality across the board, but the vibes are excellent for a nicer night out. Oysters (4/5): Super fresh and they have a rotating set of local options. We went with the waiter's recommendation, which were super sweet and a bit salty. One of my friend's had never had oysters before and they were pleasantly surprised by the way it wasn't too fishy! Clam Chowder (4.25/5): Clam chowder was actually probably one of the best bites of the night. Super creamy and luxurious with a good amount of clams. Shrimp Cocktail (2.5/5): Unfortunately, the shrimp were overcooked and too chewy. A real shame because the shrimp are huge! Surf N Turf (2.75/5): Mixed feelings on this one. The scallops were really small, but delicious, fresh, and sweet. The beef cut was some sort of awful hangar steak that didn't feel fresh. A bit small for a main and roasted potatoes were just okay. Lobster Roll (4/5): The bread was warm and nicely toasted with butter. I wish there was a bit more lobster to improve the ratio, but the quality of the lobster was nice! Atlantic Beach Pie (4/5): Very very tart, but I loved it especially with the fresh whipped cream. The saltine crust brought a good amount of salt as well.

The smoked salmon deviled egg was something I've never thought would work, but it tasted amazing. You can never go wrong with fish and chips, which tasted great! Our server was so sweet and was very attentive throughout the whole night. Dessert time came around and Trey recommended this Washington berry pie, we were sold! Have to admit at being disappointed in my latest experience at Dukes…read more It was about three weeks ago, the last Sunday in May. Went with my husband and met some family for lunch. We got there first, as the rest of the family went to the wrong location. So my husband and I were just there drinking water and waiting for them for a while. -I asked our waiter to please. "keep the water coming". Anyway, everyone finally arrived and we got things ordered. The food arrived in a timely way. Unfortunately, I have to report that their prices have gone quite high. I know most restaurants have had to raise their prices, but considering the food, both my husband, and myself felt that their prices were prohibitive, and with that in mind, we probably will not be back for quite a while. My hubbs had their lobster mac & cheese, which he gave a 7 out of 10. I had their lobster roll, which frankly, I could only give a 5 out of 10. It wasn't very flavorful, and definitely needed the dipping sauces that were served with it. Rather awkwardly put together as well, which made it kind of messy. Just kind of hard to eat. I did really enjoy their sweet potato fries though. Everyone else had various seafood dishes, which looked good, and one had a burger, which looked absolutely delicious. (I was kind of jealous once I saw it.) The service was good to begin with, but we had to flag down the waiter for water more than once. And towards the end of the meal, I was having some of that dipping sauce with the last of my sandwich; it was on the spicy side and I was out of water. Tried several times to get the waiter's attention, but it didn't work, and I had to literally yell at him to bring me some water. It was a little embarrassing, but I really needed it, & I was getting kind of mad! I mean, after all, I had made a point early on of asking him to refill the water. So that really kind of pissed me off. Because neither myself nor my husband had ordered any other beverage, & we really needed that water something fierce!! So obviously, I have mixed feelings on Dukes at this point. If money is no object, I'd say sure, go here and enjoy something tasty. But make sure you order some beverages so you don't have to count on the waiters for water!!!
