This is a surprising place. Small building dry dark and no windows. Inside the friendliest waitress you could meet. She brought out toast with butter and hot sauce. She next instructed us to put the hot sauce on the buttered toast. This was a first to me but it was delicious! We ordered the basque breakfast which included Serrano ham, sausage, bacon, eggs and potatoes. It was enough for my husband and me to share. The potatoes could've used a little seasoning but truly a satisfying meal.

Portuguese sausage patty and eggs is what I ordered. Very good! Your choice of beans or potatoes. They will bring you two pieces of French bread with real butter. Anyone looking for a morning cocktail they have a full bar. Bloody mary? Yes please. Good service. Nice ladies operating the business. Seating is tables or bar top. Open Mon- Fri.

On a Monday morning made a stop at this place. Yummy food and great service. Only open till 3pm, but definitely didn't disappoint. Bread butter and salsa is my favorite. If you haven't tried this staple in chino it's a must. Claudia and staff are amazing they make sure you are satisfied before leaving. I can eat here every day if I could. I will return soon.

Another much needed visit to this delicious & delightful place in Chino! Claudia was super sweet as usual & we throughly enjoyed our breakfast. We decided to try the Bloody Mary's; they didn't disappoint! So happy to see this place hasn't changed & is still a chino staple in our community!

I came here to use their truck scale that is also owned and used outside the restaurant. I didn't know they had a restaurant too until I drove by. They do close at 3pm. The younger woman took my order, I tried their Breakfast steak ($17) and got their iced tea to go. For their iced tea, they gave it by half liter bottles. The breakfast steak can come with sides of refried beans, country potatoes, and eggs to your liking. They also give out a small appetizer of toasted bread with butter. They do have salsa and hot salsa that they make as well. The spicy salsa goes well with the eggs and steak. The steak was tender and cooked to my liking. The owner also gave out lollipops to customers too. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

This little cafe is honestly a very nice place. I had initially passed it while I was looking for where it was but thankfully I found my way back. The ambiance in here is very cozy and welcoming, which made dining in here very enjoyable. The service was amazing as well, we had the younger server greet and take care of us while we dined, and she was very nice and made sure we were doing alright. And of course the food not only looked amazing it was delicious and very worth the price. I'd definitely recommend coming here as they have very many options to choose from when it comes to breakfast and lunch. A hidden gem here that I will definitely be visiting again :)

This hidden gem is amazing. Time capsule feeling everything inside is tela-warped from the 70's but the place is immaculate.....very clean....they start you with freshly baked bread(AMAZING) along with the best red chilli paste I have ever had. Complimented the bread and butter quite well. Coffee was GREAT. Home style cooking at it's best. LOve LoVE LovE this place. Just wish it was opened on sundays read more

Give this place a try. It's not pretty but it's clean and service is great! The food was very good. I had the chilaquiles (fantastic) with a hamburger patty on the side (very tasty). My bro had the breakfast burrito, which he said was very good. The spicy salsa they serve with bread and butter was a nice starter as we waited for our food. Love the food here! It's a total hole in the wall & I never would've stopped her had it not been for my parents. The restaurant is actually attached to a weigh station for truckers & has a full bar attached. The menu is nice & simple but the food is so well prepared! Everything has a home cooked vibe - the potatoes are just like my mom makes, the refried beans are delicious, & the pancakes are perfect. Love the thick crispy bacon too. My favorite item has to be the park chops & egg - pork chops are seasoned well & not dry at all & my eggs were a perfect over easy. Be forewarned it can get a bit loud here since it's just one big open space with the tables fairly close together but the food makes it all really manageable. read more

I've been coming to this place for almost a year. I lived in the area for almost a year before I found this spot, I regret not finding it before. I make time to drive 30 min to come here at least once or twice a month. The two ladies running this place make it feel like Home, the cooking is delicious and very close to home. The place is a hole in the wall, no windows and somewhat run down, but their service and their clientele make this make amazing. read more

WOW!! Where do I start this place is really good. Everything....everything is amazing. From the butter and bread, the bloody marries, to the streak and pancakes. The freaking chilakiles are the beat TBH. And I'm really really picky with my ratings. They serve breakfast and the kicker is that they serve alcohol they had me at alcohol. This place is amazing!! If you don't mind getting a little dusty (it is a weigh station after all), step into Taylor's Café for some good comfort food. It's a combination of Basque, Mexican and American food. The first thing they bring you is a plate of fresh baked bread with a generous slab of sweet butter. If you order the Basque breakfast, your bread will come with some amazing cheese too. Then comes the fresh made salsa...wow! I've had the pozole twice and it was delicious! You can also grab a drink from the bar while you wait for your order. It's very laid back, but I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Favorite Local Spot! Owners are good people and I'm head over heels for their Chicken Burittos. Make sure you request the aged Monterey Cheese, French Bread and butter, something about their butter! The red chipotle chili is hand-made and I always make sure it's stocked at my home. Oldie but Goodie! read more

I wish I could give this place a 6th star. The food here is amazing. Don't let the exterior scare you away as its certainly nothing to look at, the quality (OMG and the quantity) of the food inside is amazing. And then you get the bill and you're even more astounded at how low it is. I've been back twice and I'll keep coming. I was looking for some good breakfast burritos that open early and found this on Yelp. The food was delicious and service was excellent. I stopped by at 7:00 am and ordered 8 burritos for my group at work. The lady who took our order and cook them was so kind. She made sure to understand my coworkers and I very specific order. She got it perfect! The whole time she was simply a delight to work with. We had the 3 breakfast burritos with chorizo, 1 breakfast burrito, 2 machaca burrito, 1 egg cheese bacon, 1 breakfast burrito extra crispy bacon. Everyone had only positive to say. The burritos were nice large burritos, great quality and taste, simply can't ask for more. Once again excellent service :) read more

We must not have had Claudia - our bartender barely acknowledged us. The bloody Mary was horrible. Sat at the bar. The bardender swatted a fly on the bar in front us us. Brushed it off the bar with the swatter and didnt clean the bar afterwards. Had to pay our bill and leave after that. read more

If you want a hearty, delicious, no frills breakfast, then Taylor's Cafe is the spot for you. I found Taylor's a couple years ago when I would work the early morning shift at work, and was always trying out new breakfast spots. While it's not quite the hidden gem it used to be, most people still are clueless tht it exists. Every time I have friends visit from out of town, this is where I take them for breakfast. And not one has not been satisfied. I'll keep the food portion of the review simple....best breakfast ever. I've only ever gotten breakfast.....they serve it until 3pm, no 11am cutoff like some resraurants. I've really only ever ordered 2 or 3 things. My most common order: breakfast special with bacon, and a side of beans. Eggs are always cooked to over medium perfection. Potatoes crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. And the bacon....oh lawd. Hands down the best bacon I've had. Nice thick slices that are still crispy, but not hard to chew in the least. And you get 4 slices in an order. Take that Dennys. The refried beans are the cook Anna's recipe....and very few beans I've had elsewhere can compare. Do yourself a favor and don't get toast with your breakfast. Get their fresh french bread and butter. Simply amazing. I could literally eat that all day long. And if you like spicy....ask for their Chile de arbol salsa. It's got a good kick, but still has tremendous flavor. Overall, the perfect combination of amazing flavors on a plate. Each time I tell myself I want to try something different, and each time I go back to my favorite order. If it tastes good, don't change it, right? Lastly, I just wanted to write about Claudia, who owns the restaurant with her husband. She's there every time I visit. Many times it's just her, and Anna the cook, helping everyone out. She somehow manages to run the restaurant, as well as the weigh station attached to it. Start coming often enough and she'll remember your name and order too. She puts her heart and soul into her work and it shows....just another reason why I continue to come back. read more

Awesome little hole in the wall diner/dive. Thanks to Yelp for helping us find some of the best pancakes in town. We were greeted by the daughter of the owner of the place who was behind the counter, working on food orders as well as drinks behind the bar. Total sweetheart and very helpful.. We ordered our food and waiting around 35 minutes to get it. In the meanwhile, we weren't tripping about it because we were enjoying our drinks from the full bar. The dude had 2 micheladas and I had a couple HoneyJacks on the rocks.. When our food came, it was delicious. Pancakes, potatoes, sausage, and eggs were all on point. Plus they gave us the whole bottle of syrup for our convenience ;) Once the bill came, we payed and tipped and boxed up our leftovers. Then the owner of the place came over and insisted we have a couple more drinks on the house for being patient with the wait of our food. Awesome awesome awesome. Will be back again soon read more

Wow, what great people Claudia and har family are! I took my mom in for breakfast , she got the Basque omelet with bacon, it was huge and delicious, yeah I head to try a bite, I got the pork breakfast burrito, filled with their carne con chili pork yummyness, eggs cheese beans, and salsa. Actually anyway you would want it, which is nice to be able to kinda order what u want how u want it. My mom was eating and found a small bit overcooked bacon in her omelette, Claudia noticed it as she came by and insisted that she remake it for her, moms refused stating how good it was and realy no big deal. At the end of the meal I go to pay and Claudia refused my payment saying just how sorry she was for the minor imperfection. I wouldnt here of it as my breakfast was wonderful and it was no big deal a bit of moms breakfast was a little over cooked. But she was adamant and would not take our money. I saw she was very serious and I wasn't going to argue with her. Just shows that there is still some real integrity left in people and they deserve our patronage. And, if you haven't been here yet you are missing out, just remember this is a family owned and operated place and when the owner is waiting your table be a bit patient and enjoy food made with heart! read more

Sitting in Taylor's right now. Just had the Basque omelet with basque sausage onions pepper and cheese. Besides the fact it was huge (easily enough for two) it was delicious. My daughter had the breakfast burrito and again delicious and huge. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that the service is kinda slow. Love the eclectic ambiance. read more

Was looking for Sunday dinner and decided to try this place for the first time…read more I went for the 2 taco combo with one shrimp taco, one fish taco, both breaded. The combo came with rice, beans, and a fountain drink. After I paid i noticed that they have fountain Pepsi, but only canned coke. Not sure if you can ask for canned coke instead of a fountain drink without an additional charge but I personally prefer coke over Pepsi. I decided to get dr. Pepper since I had a fountain drink cup. What I do like is you can get some lemon, onions, and chili peppers from the condiment bar. I like chili peppers and appreciate these are free whereas I have had to pay extra for a bag of 3 elsewhere. There are also an assortment of packaged sauces as well as their prepared sauces such as Chipotle and green/red salsa. The portion sizes here are good. I took the food home to eat and was pretty full by the time I ate one taco. The condiments enhanced the meal. Rice and beans were fine. For $14 total its not a bad deal. I think if I didn't do takeout and ate at the restaurant, my breaded fish would not be soggy. However, the flavor was there. I would return to try their ceviche as that looked pretty fresh!

I really came for the Quesobirria tacos I ordered the combo with 3 tacos and rice and beans. Also got a regular drink that did not come with the combo. Total was around $25 which kinda crazy but I understand price for meat has gotten higher so restaurants still need to make a profit. They had three salsa this I have to say was the only downside was that none of them were actually spicy at all. I'm not sure if the one I had was the habanero one that's what it was labeled, but it did not taste nor look like habanero salsa so perhaps they just didn't have that one at the bar. Once I got my plate, it looked great Every taco had a very good portion of meat inside they were nice and seasoned. The meat was not even remotely dry. It was nice and tender and juicy. Tacos were by far the best ones I've had in this area. Their rice and beans were good as well. All in all, I definitely will be coming back. Also, I love that they have outdoor seating.

It felt like we had barely ordered them and the waitresses were suddenly coming out with them. The portions were huge, like my sister ordered the grande nachos and it really was grand. It looked like an appetizer that was meant to be shared with a group of people. The food tasted good. I enjoyed my meal so much that as big as it was, I devoured the majority of it and only stopped because I was too full. Towards the end, one of the employees asked if he could take away my plate and even though I knew he wasn't our waitress and it probably wasn't his job, I asked him for boxes instead. When our waitress came to our table to ask if I wanted boxes, the other employee at that moment handed us the boxes. I thought it was nice that the other employee did that for us even though he probably wasn't expected to. Overall, we had a great experience here.

This is a family-run place, run by a mother and daughter. The owners are really nice. My wife has known the owner for years but hadn't seen her in a while. When we visited, it seemed like the owner remembered her just yesterday--that's how friendly they are. The food and vibe are awesome. I'd tell everyone to give it a try. It's a cozy spot, and you don't mind truck drivers passing by or stopping in. I'd definitely recommend it for breakfast any day. read more

One of the best hole in the wall places ever. When you walk in it's like you've been taken back in time. The food tastes like your grandma is cooking in the back. Not a fancy place at all but soo delicious! And the staff is so friendly!! You really feel at home here. Ate here once for breakfast and I'm dying to come back because everything is so delicious especially the basque sausage. Everything from the eggs to the pancakes are made with extra care.
