This is a surprising place. Small building dry dark and no windows. Inside the friendliest waitress you could meet. She brought out toast with butter and hot sauce. She next instructed us to put the hot sauce on the buttered toast. This was a first to me but it was delicious! We ordered the basque breakfast which included Serrano ham, sausage, bacon, eggs and potatoes. It was enough for my husband and me to share. The potatoes could've used a little seasoning but truly a satisfying meal.

Portuguese sausage patty and eggs is what I ordered. Very good! Your choice of beans or potatoes. They will bring you two pieces of French bread with real butter. Anyone looking for a morning cocktail they have a full bar. Bloody mary? Yes please. Good service. Nice ladies operating the business. Seating is tables or bar top. Open Mon- Fri.

On a Monday morning made a stop at this place. Yummy food and great service. Only open till 3pm, but definitely didn't disappoint. Bread butter and salsa is my favorite. If you haven't tried this staple in chino it's a must. Claudia and staff are amazing they make sure you are satisfied before leaving. I can eat here every day if I could. I will return soon.

Another much needed visit to this delicious & delightful place in Chino! Claudia was super sweet as usual & we throughly enjoyed our breakfast. We decided to try the Bloody Mary's; they didn't disappoint! So happy to see this place hasn't changed & is still a chino staple in our community!

I came here to use their truck scale that is also owned and used outside the restaurant. I didn't know they had a restaurant too until I drove by. They do close at 3pm. The younger woman took my order, I tried their Breakfast steak ($17) and got their iced tea to go. For their iced tea, they gave it by half liter bottles. The breakfast steak can come with sides of refried beans, country potatoes, and eggs to your liking. They also give out a small appetizer of toasted bread with butter. They do have salsa and hot salsa that they make as well. The spicy salsa goes well with the eggs and steak. The steak was tender and cooked to my liking. The owner also gave out lollipops to customers too. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

This little cafe is honestly a very nice place. I had initially passed it while I was looking for where it was but thankfully I found my way back. The ambiance in here is very cozy and welcoming, which made dining in here very enjoyable. The service was amazing as well, we had the younger server greet and take care of us while we dined, and she was very nice and made sure we were doing alright. And of course the food not only looked amazing it was delicious and very worth the price. I'd definitely recommend coming here as they have very many options to choose from when it comes to breakfast and lunch. A hidden gem here that I will definitely be visiting again :)

Taylor's Café is my new favorite!!! We walked in and my daughter says, yummmm I don't want to eat here!! I said lets try it, the reviews are good!! Well despite the divey truck stop looking dark bar area..we arrived at 8am...and there were the few locals drinking coffee n chatting...we sat and were greeted by Claudia and given French bread n butter...yuUmmmm! I ordered the Basque Breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 thick applewood cut bacon, 1 Basque sausage which was fricken bomb!, and ham and breakfast potatoes!!! My daughter had the Basque omelette with bacon...we cleaned our plates....I swear, the food was delicious!!!! Can't wait to try more items and Saturdays try tip breakfast!! Best $10 breakfast around!!! Moral of the story here is NEVER judge a book by itscover! read more

Way out in B.F. Chino a solid restaurant masquerades as a run down truck stop bar. Food: Basque breakfast was very tasty, the highlight being the fresh made basqe sausage. Also, they serve French bread with real butter and aged Monterey jack cheese. The cheese tastes like a cross between Monterey jack and Parmesan and is very good with bread and butter. The bacon was also good and I believe is also made in house. Service: Friendly Price: Slightly above average for this kind of fare. read more

this place is awesome. very much "off the beaten path" and it took me a little bit of time to find it. I arrived at around 615am but learned that I was super early (yelp opening hours are not correct). in any case I'm glad that I was persistent because this place just looked too legit and authentic to pass up. and I was right. Taylor's is authentically basque! it's a family business which also operates as a truck stop on the other side. pay no attention to the decor of the place because if you do, you will miss out on a true gem. the food is simple but flat out delicious. the owners are originally from the basque region (the french portion). I was greeted by a fun-natured gentleman named "Domingo", which was how he identified himself because I was speaking Spanish (rather poorly). Domingo (or "Domenic") let me come inside despite me arriving well before they opened. he was such a fun person to talk to. we bantered for awhile until "las jeffes" arrived (the "bosses" as he referred to the lovely ladies are actually his wife claudia and daughter (I think) Ana, who was also the cook. if you find yourself in or around chino and are looking for a great authentic breakfast, this place is a must! special shout out to Domenic for being so hospitable and and authentic (the guy also funny as hell). btw, I got the machaca burrito and it was nothing short of the shiznat! (Domenic, if you're reading this revista, la palabra "shiznat" es Bueno! muy Bueno, mi amigo!) that's how we say it in good ol BAYONNE (New Jersey)! read more

Porkchops and eggs at this little mom and pop hole in the wall is to die for. They serve you salsa & French bread to start. All the coffee you can drink. Quite the hum in this place , full of locals from all walks of life. I can't say enough about this place. I just love it! read more

Really good breakfast. Never had anything else so I cant say anything about that. Their portions are huge and it's just good quality local stuff. They have the best hot salsa ever! I'm talking like it burns so good and I want to put it on everything. I straight up dip my thick cut bacon in the bowl. Claudia is the best. She is so sweet and remembers us everytime! read more

If you like the nostalgic scent of urinal cakes and 1950's mobile homes, you'll love this location. It was difficult to try the good because of the smell, but I hoped the food would overcome. They did not have the pork, and the beef substitute looked like dog food in huevos rancheros. Tasted okay. Hubby liked the sausage . And the hot salsa is very good. That's 2 stars. I came to this place with a little bit of hesitation, I was craving machaca so I set my sights on this place. It's far, not in the best area, but worth it! The ladies who worked there were very nice, and you can tell that they're very close to their regulars . Give this place a try, they're truly deserving of your business . read more

Don't let the exterior deter you- the service and food is spectacular. Portions are big and delicious and they make their salsa and chips in house! I ordered the chilaquiles and just about finished my plate. Would recommend and come back! read more

4 times in a row, we heard: your foods coming. 45 minutes later, still no food. Came here before and loved the food, this time the service wasn't up to par. Had they reassured us by refilling our coffee and giving us an appetizer, we may have changed our mind. Eat here if you don't mind the wait. read more

This place is great! It's a good little spot in chino nice regular menu with great breakfast . The potatoes are so delicious and always cooked perfect along with the machaca and I've also had the tri tip but it's only served on Saturday and it's worth it. The portions are perfect and the owner is so nice shell ask if you had enough and offered more potatoes and beans but the serving was jus enough. I suggest this place if you like a nice kinda small home style restaurant because this place is worth it food is definitely delicious!! They doing a great job! read more

Ok so I have lived in the Chino area all my life. I have never known about this place until today. My boyfriend yelp this place & saw the good reviews so we decided to try it. Well of course it is not as fancy as most would see it but the food was so yummy. I ordered the Chilaquiles, which I have never had before. It was delicious! I would definitely get that again. I think this place is family owned. They were very friendly. read more

The only inconvenience is no parking. The place is a little run down, could use some upgrades. But I must say the food was delicious. This lil hole in the was is a great place to eat our burgers were hot off the grill and the fries were pipping hot too the only thing I had a problem with is that $2 for a can of coke !! I had come in from out of town and read all the positive reviews of this place. When I arrived there I was a little taken aback, because it does look like a truck stop (well, it is a truck stop). Inside it was very clean and well-maintained, and the two wait staff (which may have been the owners) were helpful and friendly. The food was great value. I don't usually eat much meat but I got the Basque Burger, which has 4 kinds of animal protein (and fat!): burger, sausage, egg, and cheese. It was delicious, and the bun didn't task like cardboard. The home fries were a little bland, but I'm not a potato person anyway. read more

This place is honestly really great! At first I was a little skeptical just because it's not an eye catchers and truck drivers come in and out. But once I sat down and the owner came and greeted us, it was a whole mood change. She was so amazingly nice , I haven't gotten this great of service in a very long time ! The price may look a little expensive but believe me, he portions are enough for two ! She also gives you French bread before the meal at no cost and it's delicious ! Definitely recommended ! Wow, this place is great! As many state the outside looks a little dodgy, but don't let that fool you. The people are really nice and the place is clean. The food is great. The pancakes have great flavor and the bacon is phenomenal. It's not the thin little things you'd get at a Dennys. The beef dip tastes good and the fries do as well. Check it out! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I can come here just for the bacon alone. Delicious food!!!!! My favorite is the bacon and eggs and the beans taste like they came from my moms house! Delicious! Oh yeah! Did I mention they have this salsa that is truly the best salsa ever?? I had to come due to the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Well I finally took the plundge and wish I did 20 years ago.Food is really good and the serve french bread if you want with your breakfast and they will give you as much as you want for bread. Also breakfast is served all day. Owners are terrific and come talk to you its reminds you of the good all days with the mom and pop resturants.You will differently be satisfied.The rating is correct and dont be by the outside never judge a book by the cover. Amazing breakfast and an excellent friendly owner. You must get past the fact that it is a truck stop. Prepare yourself to be completely amazed. Breakfast has excellent price for excellent quality. Nice thick cut bacon. Perfect savory basque sausage. Burrito made to perfection with some of the best salsa one can get at a restaurant. Forget the "restaurant style" salsa you see at the grocery store, this stuff is legit. I must warn you, the salsa is very spicy! If you love spicy and want even more flavor, ask for the extra spicy salsa. This salsa has everything you need and pairs up perfectly with any breakfast item you choose. I am a student from WesternU and having found this place since I moved here has made a big difference. Breakfast is Amazing! Love Love Love this place. Be patient, mom pop shop. read more

This little hole in the wall place is GREAT!! I just went there for breakfast. Had the Huevos Racheros. The pork chunks in the chile sauce thats served with the meal is to die for. I can't believe I lived so close to this place for so long and never tried Taylor's Cafe. The refried beans are great, the bacon tastes great. Everything was fresh and hot off the grill. Am definitly going back to try out the rest of the menu. read more

Was looking for Sunday dinner and decided to try this place for the first time…read more I went for the 2 taco combo with one shrimp taco, one fish taco, both breaded. The combo came with rice, beans, and a fountain drink. After I paid i noticed that they have fountain Pepsi, but only canned coke. Not sure if you can ask for canned coke instead of a fountain drink without an additional charge but I personally prefer coke over Pepsi. I decided to get dr. Pepper since I had a fountain drink cup. What I do like is you can get some lemon, onions, and chili peppers from the condiment bar. I like chili peppers and appreciate these are free whereas I have had to pay extra for a bag of 3 elsewhere. There are also an assortment of packaged sauces as well as their prepared sauces such as Chipotle and green/red salsa. The portion sizes here are good. I took the food home to eat and was pretty full by the time I ate one taco. The condiments enhanced the meal. Rice and beans were fine. For $14 total its not a bad deal. I think if I didn't do takeout and ate at the restaurant, my breaded fish would not be soggy. However, the flavor was there. I would return to try their ceviche as that looked pretty fresh!

It looked like an appetizer that was meant to be shared with a group of people. The food tasted good. I enjoyed my meal so much that as big as it was, I devoured the majority of it and only stopped because I was too full. Towards the end, one of the employees asked if he could take away my plate and even though I knew he wasn't our waitress and it probably wasn't his job, I asked him for boxes instead. When our waitress came to our table to ask if I wanted boxes, the other employee at that moment handed us the boxes. I thought it was nice that the other employee did that for us even though he probably wasn't expected to. Overall, we had a great experience here.

This is a family-run place, run by a mother and daughter. The owners are really nice. My wife has known the owner for years but hadn't seen her in a while. When we visited, it seemed like the owner remembered her just yesterday--that's how friendly they are. The food and vibe are awesome. I'd tell everyone to give it a try. One of the best hole in the wall places ever. When you walk in it's like you've been taken back in time. The food tastes like your grandma is cooking in the back.
