We had a leak coming from the faucet pipe. It turned out that it wasn't installed correctly and not up to code. Taz Plumbing was able to send someone right away to do a free diagnosis. The guy (I wish I had gotten his name) was very detailed and gave us a good quote to fix the problem and bring it up to code. We decided to go with this company and the same guy came back to fix the pipes. When he was doing it, it was more complicated than we all thought it was. There was not enough space to work around the pipes without the cabinet drawer hitting it. He was very persistent though and tried different ways to make it work. We had a bit of an emergency situation when we noticed that sewer water was coming out of pipes in our backyard. Gross, I know. We were immediately in a state of panic thinking about what the problem could be and how much it would cost to fix. This was the first plumbing issue we have had to deal with as home owners, so it's not like we had a trusted plumber on speed dial. We turned to Yelp and were contacted by a few different companies, one of which was Taz. The first company that came out wanted to snake our line to find what the issue was. When Taz came out and saw what was happening, the guy said that snaking it wouldn't work and suggested doing some super power hydro cleaning thing. What he said made sense, so we had them do that the next day. Keep in mind that the cleaning piece was really just so that they could then go in with a camera and identify the actual problem! Needless to say, I was scared to answer the door after they identified the problem, for fear that I was going to be told it would take $20k to fix it.... NO! I was told that there were roots in the line and they cleaned those out and that with yearly cleaning, we will be good for quite a while! They charged us for the cleaning and inspection and that was IT. Amazing. Taz was professional, responsive, and ethical and we couldn't be happier with their service. I highly recommend this plumbing business - Taz is personable, professional, knowledgabIe and efficient. I spoke with Taz Sunday night at 9pm about clearing our kitchen drain. Not an emergency for us, so he said he'd be over first thing in the morning. At 7:45am Taz and his assistant Clive arrived! After using the snake with puzzling results, he had to do some trouble-shooting. Taz then went into the crawl space under the kitchen. He unscrewed the pipe connection and ran the snake back towards the kitchen sink. Bingo - a huge amount of packed-in sludge was released! The team was very careful and was thorough. Taz tested the drain, the garbage disposal and made sure water flowed properly with no leaks. He advised being careful about what went into the garbage disposal because the pipe has no slope and there is an angle where it meets the main line. read more
