Our go-to bubble tea spot. I love the nigiri black tea, coffee milk tea, and jasmine teas from them. The flavor is on point, none of that powdered crap which I really appreciate. They also have a house made milk cream which is delish and we usually add that with every drink we get. Bubbles are also fresh and not too sweet. I visited this store on 4/11/2024 and ordered their Classic Black Milk Tea with Signature Cream with regular ice and 100% sugar. I walked away from the store while drinking the boba and thought it was so odd because it was strangely super bitter while also being simultaneously sweet. The tea just tasted...off and had a weird bitter floral taste. I thought it was just the specific type of black tea they used and I didn't want to waste it so I finished the drink and walked back home. Within an hour I had a fever and body chills and I felt like I got indigestion. The next day I literally couldn't move out of my bed or eat anything. I got SEVERE food poisoning from this place and was sick for 2 weeks. I lost 7 lbs and I was genuinely bed bound for an entire week because of their boba. Management should store their tea properly and make sure their staff is being hygienic. Horrible experience and I am absolutely warning people to stay away. read more

I remember when Tea and Milk came to Astoria. Mad hype, well-deserved. We did have a bubble tea spot here and there but they never really stuck around. But the quality was never really up-to-par. But oddly, enough for an Asian I was never a huge bubble tea person. I've had various drinks and they've all been "good." I don't think I've ever really had anything that disappointed or blew my mind. I also do remember getting a red velvet cookie way back in the day, pretty good pretty good. SO, the main focus for this review will be their banh mi. I finally had it, the pork belly. I'm far from an aficionado when it comes to banh mi but I'd say I've had my fair share of from Elmhurst to Flushing to the city and so forth. Overall, for the price of $11.98 (including tax) I'd say the banh mi was pretty good. I had for pick up so I made sure I timed it so that by the time I got home it'd still be warm (it was). The French Baguette just didn't seem to that have that fresh crisp. I'm also a bigger fan a crispier seared pork belly. The rest of the ingredients from pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro and daikon weren't incredibly strong but still flavorful. Already wrote a 5 star review before, but this is particularly my experience with them during our current COVID crisis. I'm a healthcare worker and they were generous enough to provide delicious iced coffee and tea to our ICU staff. Mathew was so easy to coordinate with, and they came right within the time when he said they would. They even mailed me my DIY boba kit that I bought because they left it at their store (no worries on this end - so nice of them to ship it to me!). I work all the way on the west side of Manhattan but they came all the way from Astoria. The drinks were delicious and everyone enjoyed! Since it's finally warming up now in New York, they have an aesthetic outdoor seating with a few tables to sit at. There was a sign that even showed that they offer some board games. I thought that was a pretty unique addition to a boba shop. They don't only offer drinks; they also offer banh mi and cookies. We decided to try the lavender black milk tea with their signature cream and boba. I felt like their medium size was more of a small size. But other than their size, the drink was good. The lavender is stronger than other lavender drinks I've tried. The boba was chewy and fresh. The cream mixed with the milk tea just made the drink overall really smooth. Asked the barista if this was the right drink and she said this is how their milk tea is and it needs to be shaken. The tea flavor was strong and for half sweetness, it could be a little bit sweeter. I think it comes down to a personal preference, but it's definitely not the bubble tea you'd expect. The bathrooms were not super clean the day I went, but at least there is one! They have some fun board games, but unfortunately, they do not all seem to be in the best shape. The few games we tried had missing pieces and were pretty run down. My lychee green tea had bits of lychee in there and was not sweet at all (just the way I like it!). You can taste the matcha but it's not overpowering. Decided to try the happy drink (strawberry pineapple) with aloe and it was really good! The base of the drink is strawberry hibiscus and had blended pineapple. Remember to mix it before drinking cause the pineapple blend in there is a little thick. I've tried couple of their seasonal drinks too and have never been disappointed. Usually they have a larger pearls, and I don't have too many complaints about them. They're chewy, sweet, and fresh. Yesterday though, I had the smaller pearls in my drink which I didn't enjoy as much as the larger ones. There shop isn't that big so there aren't a lot of places to sit if it's busy. I've been slowly making my way through the menu and right now my favorites are the Thai Milk Tea, Roasted Oolong Brown Sugar Milk Tea (50%, less sugar, w signature cream) and their BBQ Pork BanhMi. A large cup will run you ~$7 but this seems pretty normal across most bubble tea spots today. My favorite bubble tea shop at the moment! The tea is strong and great quality. Drinks are customizable, you can choose the type of milk (almond, oat, half&half, signature cream), as well as ice/sugar level. There is an outdoor patio which is nice for sunny/rainy days. Very tranquil atmosphere inside, they have board games for patrons too. I've been 3 times in the last week, trekking from Jackson Heights because I think my experiences have been that good. Another plus is the pastries and various sweets they offer.
