I can't attest to the food as I only ordered drinks. I was interested in trying a bento box, but had my baby with me and didn't want to wait. Since I felt uncomfortable by the folks going to 711 I don't think I'll be back to try the food. Drinks - got the Thai tea shake with honey boba and watermelon slush with brown sugar crystal boba. - The Thai tea shake had a minty favor to it, which I didn't care for so I didn't really like my drink :(. The boba didn't taste like "honey boba", it tasted plain and unsweetened (and potentially slightly undercooked). - The watermelon slush was refreshing. It had a slight honeydew taste to it. The brown sugar crystal boba was very sweet..too sweet. I prefer plain crystal boba. Overall I did like that they had different drink and topping options than other boba places. But, the drinks themselves (at least what I got) weren't very good and I wouldn't recommend them. Ambiance/inside: meh, nothing special. A little small but room for about 4 small parties (2 people) to space out. I did like that their bathroom was open for use, which could be difficult to find during covid times. read more

Two stars - Decent drinks, but inconsiderate staff The bubble tea at Tea Bay was good. They had a wide variety of flavors and milk tea options, and the boba itself was fresh and chewy. The food I tried was decent as well, though nothing particularly special. However, my experience was unfortunately marred by the staff. On our way into the restaurant, a young man with glasses working there practically ran into us as he rushed out the door for some reason. He didn't even stop to apologize or greet us when he came back inside, which left a negative impression. The staff were also notably more cheerful with each other than they were when we walked up to the counter, quickly switching their disposition from fun and outgoing to sullen and apathetic. Then while waiting for our food, we could hear the girl (with red hair, dark roots, and glasses down to her shoulders) complaining about the other customers, cursing, and admitting that instead of making one customers drinks correctly, she purposely made them wrong to get back at him. She also loudly relayed a story about a DoorDasher that asked to use the restroom and she told her that she couldn't, which shows this restaurant doesn't respect its customers, delivery partners, or just has a lack of heart for fellow humans. Although the food and drinks were decent, the environment and interactions definitely brought down the overall experience for me. It felt like I was overhearing some rude teens in high school gossip. For an establishment that has a sign that they charge $10 for grumpy guests, I'm surprised they don't also expect the same level of chipper service from their staff. Found a new boba place to try out after eating Korean food nearby, so I gave this place a shot. To summarize, I'm hoping things will improve as time goes on, since it just opened up recently. Anytime I visit a new boba place, I either try one of their signature drinks or a classic jasmine green milk tea, since that's a tea that is so simple, there's no way to truly make an error on that. I ordered a medium, less ice, 50% sweet with boba for the jasmine green milk tea. Unfortunately, the drink was very watered down. I've had other places still able to do 50% sweet, without making the entire drink super watered down, so I'm hoping that Tea Bay will be able to improve upon this across all their drinks moving forward. Additionally, the boba was super hard and cold, as if it's been sitting for hours (and I arrived two hours before closing). I hope this place will also improve the way they handle their boba, since most places are still able to upkeep boba fresh, each time a customer orders. Their thai milk tea that my friend tried said it was okay, but still super watered down and the boba was also hard and cold. We didn't bother finishing the drinks because of the aforementioned comments above. I'm hoping one day to be back, and hoping we just came at a bad time. read more

Tea bay is located at the college shopping center next to a few other businesses and restaurants. It is a perfect spot to hit up when you have a group since the center has a little something for everyone. A-lot of the options were fried and since this was a pregame to the shawarma fries I was also going to put down I opted for something a little healthier and snagged a teriyaki box that came with rice, broccoli and some bean pastry things. It hit the spot! The chicken had a nice char on the outside. The broccoli was perfectly steamed , I actually wish it had more! The one thing that was new were the 3 little ball things. I bit into it thinking they would be savory and was surprised that it had a sweet hint to them. I looked them up and it said they were filled with red beans. They were interesting. Like oh yeah this is good but not like oh yeah I can't wait to eat some red bean pastry balls. For the price of the box I do wish it had a little more chicken in it. Just getting into these kinds of teas, but Tea Bay is one of our favorites so far. The teas are generally sweet but not nearly as overly sweet as many other places, and you can still adjust the sweetness. I just made the mistake of reducing the sweetness too much the first time. Our only complaint is that the drink is not always very cold. It could use more ice, but then again you don't really want more ice at the expense of less tea. I've gotten in the habit of pouring my tea into an insulated mug with extra ice. That gets it cold and makes it last longer. The location may be off-putting, but the store itself inviting. Haven't had any of the food (mostly fried things), but their sesame balls were really enjoyable. read more

Was looking for a late night Boba place and very glad we found this place. Tasty drinks and their food hit the spot! Spam musubi was freshly made with savory sauce and perfectly fried spam. They had lumpia too! Tofu was crispy and just the right amount of salt. The outside was a little seedy (just the location) but inside was clean and very spacious. They had games and sitting areas. Quite disappointed with my drink. Ordered thru DoorDash since this was the only boba place that was deliverable during the time except for T4. Since this was new, I decided to give it a shot. Ordered the brown sugar creme brulee latte with boba. Bf ordered the strawberry fruit tea with boba. His was alright, just a basic strawberry tea. My first sip, there was this grainy ingredient that came up. Not sure if it was actual brown sugar or if it was powder that they used. Anyways, it was not mixed well enough if it was still there. Found my new favorite boba spot! Stopped by here after discovering that they just opened up. The place is very clean and everyone was wearing masks. The staff is super friendly and service is quick. I recommend the passion fruit tea and the avocado smoothie. I'll have to try their milk tea next time I come. They have a lot of food and snacks as well! While I live on the other side of town and there are boba & tea places that are much closer to me, I definitely prefer the drinks and food at Tea Bay much more. The tea always tastes fresh and the food is delicious! If you're down to grab a bite, I suggest picking up some takoyaki, curly fries, and popcorn chicken!
