Nice man at the counter. Quick service from ordering to being ready. Got the crema iced coffee and it was strong and everything I needed to get me through the day. I want more.

I recently spotted the Tea Cup Boba House when picking up some food nearby and knew I had to try it. They have a scale at the register you can reference for how sweet you want the drink. I ordered my taro milk tea with boba at 75%, which is the suggested, but I think next time I'll go with 50% because it was still a little too sweet for me. Otherwise, the drink flavor and boba were really good. The employee was kind too. Definitely check out this boba spot!

I really enjoyed the boba milk tea here. It was just slightly sweet, very smooth, and pleasant to drink, I finished it with real enjoyment. The boba itself was great too, nice texture and good flavor. My order was prepared very quickly, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, the place feels nice, and most importantly, the drinks are genuinely good. I'd definitely come back for another one

This is a clean and minimal boba place in a small area with easy parking. When we stopped by, there wasn't anybody in, so we tried the coconut taro milk tea with boba and the black milk tea with boba. The boba was some of the best-textured boba that I've had. The coconut was powerful in the taro milk tea (the taro could have been more pronounced) but it was a delicious drink nonetheless. The bobarista put in the perfect amount of light ice as requested and the drinks were the perfect sweetness at 50% for my taste. If I'm in the area I'd stop by again for a little boba milk tea treat.

If you live in Southeast Austin, you already know as soon as a new business enters the ring, you're hoping it'll be something worthwhile. As far as bubble teas go, there aren't many that's 1) below the river 2) actually really good 3) not a chain. I'm big on supporting local, small businesses, so when I found out there would be a bubble teashop less than 10 mins away from my house, I anxiously waited. It's been three weeks since this business has opened and I can proudly testify, ADD THIS ONE TO YOUR LIST! Tea Cup Boba House is owned by a sweet and shy Cambodian couple who work the front and currently have no other employees. If it gets busy, be patient! Tea Cup Boba House offers a variety of teas and unique sinkers to the southeast Austin area. If you aren't a tea fan, it may not be your cup of tea (lol). However, for me, it's what I enjoyed the most. I love how strong the teas are! The cream to tea ratio is perfectly balanced, and if you add on the bobas, they add a nice touch to the drink. The bobas are tender and lightly sweetened. The decor here is clean with a modern bohemian touch, however, there isn't much seating. Definitely order and take away.

The boba tea is awesome! I had a taro milk boba tea and my daughter had the black/milk tea with boba. I later wished I had ordered my husband's pick which was the Mango Lychee Smoothie with boba!! I'm so glad its close to home. Its designed really cute inside, as well. The service was great!

Love having a new quality boba spot in SE Austin! Huge menu and really cute inside area with tables and chairs. Have something for everyone but really enjoyed the strawberry milk tea with boba. Staff was really friendly and quick with orders. Will be back to try more

Super simple and cute Boba place! They have a few games available to play while you wait for your drink. I ordered the Taro Coconut milk Tea at 50% sweetness and it was the perfect balance! We also order a Hot Matcha at 25% sweetness that hit the spot for this cold weather! Definitely check this place out! We usually go by Ranch 99 for boba but we're glad we found something closer to the house just as good Enjoy! The service was nice and the drinks were delicious.

I ordered the crème brûlée brown sugar milk tea w/ boba and 50% sweetness. It was very good! Gong cha has a more limited menu compared to other milk tea shops, but it works when you have a craving! Just be aware that it shares the same parking lot as P. terry's, so it can get pretty busy during the lunch and dinner rush from the drive through.

I will often test for 3 things: how long was the tea steeped? are tea leaves used? and lastly, is there more tea, cream, or ice in this drink? I cut out the boba as I feel the syrup and tapioca distract from the tea. How I like my tea: strong & fresh, which is exactly how Gong Cha makes it. Even so, the ambience seems like the decorations were cute, but very cheap and damaged overtime with little to no repairs. But I didn't come here for aesthetics. I came here for great Boba tea and sweet treats. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet. The soufflé pancakes were fine, but the ice cream was terrible on that too. It's hard to mess up Ice Cream, but somehow they managed.
