Let me start of by saying when I found out a boba place that's in SF finally opened up here, I was excited! Thank goodness we get a little bit of the city in this part of the Bay Area. With that said, I wish I could give them a 5 star, however my first time at this location I ordered what I usually would down in SF, Thai tea smoothie with boba (of course) and a mango smoothie! I was completely satisfied with them because they were smooth just like it should be and I got a couple of cute bottle out of it . My second visit it was ok but not as smooth as the first. Now my latest visit was disappointing. Definitely wasn't smooth like the first time then I started sipping bigger chunks of ice. Boo! Each time it was a different person making them so I don't know if the workers are just rushing to make the drink or what. But it's definitely not consistent every time! I wish they would all just take their time to make sure the smoothies are blended well the way they should be. I'm disappointed with it. All employees should be on the same page with how the drinks are made. I always take them to go so there's no point in going back to let them know. But if I'm paying almost $6 (extra for boba) a drink, I'd like it to be worth it. That's what makes people keep coming back! Ok, before I start complaining like crazy, let me just say that the food & drinks are really good. However, they need to get their acts together at this place. When I came in, there were 4 people making drinks (one looked as if she was in the middle of training, which is fine, more on that later), and one person who may have been the owner, making sandwiches. It took 32 minutes, from the time I ordered to the time I walked out to get my full order, which was ONE DRINK AND ONE SANDWICH. I ordered a honeydew smoothie with extra boba. Emily made it a point to tell me that extra boba costs extra. Absolutely fine. I'm totally OK with that. However, when I order and PAY FOR EXTRA, I expect to get the extra I PAID FOR. When I finally got my drink, the girl that made my drink asked "that doesn't look like extra?", well excuse you! First of all, I saw you make other drinks at the same time, and I saw that it wasn't extra. But since the drink was already made and closed up, I decided I would just complain about it here. After getting my drink, I stood in front of the counter where sandwiches are made. The man making the sandwiches asked "Can I help you?" In my head "No, I'm just standing here for fun!" What I actually said "Yes, you can. I ordered a banh mi sandwich." Man's reply "What sandwich? You ordered a sandwich? Emily, she ordered a sandwich?!" me in my head again "No, I just paid 12 god damn dollars for a smoothie and extra effing boba, that I didn't freakin get!"... what I really said "I ordered a BBQ pork banh mi" Emily goes on to tell him that the orders have not been printing all day. Now, if the orders had not been printing all day, wouldn't you think it would be wise to let the owner know that, and let him know that I ordered a sandwich since there is no other for him to know I ordered a sandwich. Because if he was a freakin psychic, he wouldn't have wondered with the most puzzled look, as to why the hell I'm standing in front of him, w/ my drink that didn't have extra boba, in hand! Soooooo... I waited again. Although the food tasted good, it was a really sorry sandwich. The most skimp banh mi I've ever had in my life!!! It had the skinniest slivers of meat EVER, and also the least amount of meat I'd ever had in a sandwich in general. Now, because I was waiting for so long, I couldn't help but watch. The girl training made a mistake and made a drink wrong. If you're training, and brand spankin' new, you're bound to make a mistake or five. It doesn't help anyone, Emily, to get upset, make faces, and walk around aimlessly with the incorrect drinks, and make the trainee feel worse than she already does. Remake the damn drinks and do it moving! Even though the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is nice, I probably won't be returning. Go to T4 or quickly. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would give a double zero. My kids brought home banh mi sandwiches, chicken bites and boba from this place and the first thing I notice was the meat had a funny color and it was rubbery. I eating many banh mi sandwiches but never with meat that looked that bad. Well as it turns out the meats smelled rancid and the milk in the boba smelled bad as well. I then called and spoke with the manager regarding my concerns and that I wanted a refund but he instead argued with me claiming the food is fine and for me to bring the food and drinks back after I said I had thrown the food away. There was no reasoning with that man, he was incredibly rude. This is the first time I've ever done a review like this but I would not feel right if anyone got sick from this place. E Tea is the best boba tea place (if) you want to hang out. C'mon, two X-Box'es and a multitude of couches, who wouldn't? I particularly like how they have their drinks in a small milk glass container. What really shines here a E Tea is their boba pearls. Yes, the boba pearls; the one ingredient often too neglected in the expense of the drink's flavor. E Tea's boba pearls are the best by quite a margin. It is uniformly soft in texture and with a hit of sweetness; most if not all of the other boba places do not process. Oh did I mention that they make proper Manh Mi sandwiches? We've been looking for a new Boba spot for a while and this will definitely be a new go-to place. I had the Princess Rose Tea with creama. The creama is like really good whipped cream, but not as firm. The rose tea is made with Jasmine Tea so it's very floral and doesn't have a lot of the grass notes that can come with other rose-green teas. I got my tea with 25% sugar and it was just right. A lot of boba places say 25% and still put in waaay too much. E Tea 25% sugar means it's only SLIGHTLY sweet. It definitely doesn't taste bitter, but the sweetness is almost not there. Came here with the kids cause I saw this place on yelp. Cool selection of drinks and food, but the bahn mi sandwiches are made with cold lunch meat and my strawberry green tea looked like it just had some strawberry syrup added to it. It didn't taste too bad, but I'd rather have my usual iTea or ShareTea. On a better note, it's a very clean place with nice furniture and they have video games and board games. So it's a cool hang out spot.. just kinda disappointed with the quality of my tea and sandwich. I've tried this place out twice. The first time was right around the time they first opened for business, it wasn't great. Fast forward to several years later, I thought I'd give them another try. And I have to say, I will never go back. My second visit -- Customer service was eh, not very welcoming. We tried to order a couple types of drinks at first, but the guy couldn't make them because they were out of specific ingredients. So then I ordered a Creme Brûlée Milk tea with boba. The guy said they didn't have enough boba for the drink. So I said it was fine, and he could use whatever boba they had left. Once I got my drink, at first, I didn't even know it was mine, and I'll explain why. The creme brûlée was purple (NO, it was not taro flavored creme brûlée), the texture was def not smooth like a normal creme brûlée, and it didn't taste like creme brûlée. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of topping it was. My milk tea had no flavor, it was basically watered down. I took one sip and tossed it. I drink milk tea/boba all the time, so I pretty much know what's good and what's not. They definitely stepped up, their boba is much better now than before. I just found their Fresh Taro King and love it. They use real taro instead of powder so it tastes much better than other usual powder taro milk tea. However, try to not go before 11 am in the morning on Saturdays because their boba is always not ready. What I would suggest is to not use so much foam in the taro milk tea, since I always got so much less when I reach home because the foam has then gone and I am always left with 3/4 full of the cup or bottle. read more

YES! Best pearl tea place in the area. So glad they opened. Flavorful, default mix is not too sweet, bright atmosphere with nice couches and space to lounge. Wouldn't fit more than a few larger groups though. Highly recommended, will return many times plus. Good service. Limited Vietnamese foods, which I don't particularly recommend for the value. I'm here for the drinks, which I think is much better than Starbucks. Menu is not overwhelming compared to other pearl tea places which have 40+ flavors (T4). They conveniently post "Top 10" drinks. I tried this place since it's close to my new home and decent rating. I should've actually read the reviews instead of just seeing how many stars. Anyway, the people were nice. I ordered a bbq vietnamese sandwich and spring rolls. I asked if the mango smoothie had fresh mango but it didn't so I passed. I got worried when I watched the man putting stuff in the microwave which is something I haven't seen at other bahn mi shops when making a sandwich. While the food was in the microwave he started looking in different chest freezers in the restaurant and finally found what looked like pre fried, frozen spring rolls. I think he also mircrowaved those then crisped them up in the fryer. In the end, almost $18 for a meh banh mi and bad spring rolls. I'm not sure what the filling was in the spring rolls. It's not good and unlike other fried spring rolls at typical vietnamese places. The bbq pork was dry and flavorless. Id maybe try the drinks but probably not after trying the food. read more

Tried out this new boba spot in town, I like the vibe of this place, definitely a "hang out" spot, the workers were really nice too! We got house black tea, mango slush and matcha milk tea. Interesting mixes to their drinks. The matcha tea had egg pudding and red bean in it, which was delicious. The house black tea was a little bit bitter but it was good, mango slush was the best one out of the three we got. I like that you can adjust the sweetness level. Wow!!!!!!! Ok when I saw this place has 4 stars I had to go and check it out. No one is inside. There was a sweet old lady working. Ordered boba teas and let's just say the three drinks we ordered were fed to the trash bins at another boba house... for reals! There wasn't any trash bins around and we didn't want to make the sweet lady sad. Lol. The teas are hand mixed with powder. (No thank you!). The fruity drinks were separating from the water. Otherwise great, I ordered a strawberry fresh fruit green tea, and roasted chicken Vietnamese sandwich. Both were very good. Hopefully they'll be able to prepare their delicious food in a more timely matter in the near future! Update! Came in again on Monday and they were out of the chicken so no chicken sandwich. I had buy one drink and get second one free loyalty rewards and try to use while I was ordering my drinks and told the cashier that I want to redeem my reward. While I did redeemed it at their system and he said I have 30 days to use it. And I told him I want to use it now since I already redeemed it. But for some reason he did not want me to use it and deleted of up his screen and told me it's not showing anymore and I clearly show him in my phone that I have this reward but he was keep telling me it's not showing in his system. First I'd like to say the young man working there was nice and tried his best. Came in this afternoon and ordered 5 drinks, a popcorn chicken, and funnel fries. 20 mins later the young man calls out 3 drinks. 5 mins later comes out and says sorry were out of funnel fries what else would you like so we said regular fries is fine. 10 mins later we see a yellow drink just sitting on the counter so we had to assume it was our mango smoothie. 5 mins after that he calls out the popcorn chicken and fries. To our disappointment the fries and popcorn chicken was cold. The popcorn chicken tastes very generic and not like the ones you'll find at Quickly or Tapioca Express. Another 10-15 mins pass and we're still waiting for 1 more drink. 5 more mins later he came out with our last drink. And as I'm eating the popcorn chicken I find something in there that looks like either a feather or something. There was no use complaining cause there's only that one young man working there but will for sure never come back again. Ordered a chicken sandwich told them I'm allergic to jalapenos do not put anything spicy on my sandwich. As the gentleman who made the sandwich was going to hand me my bag the other gentleman said something in a different language he took the bag back remove something wrapped it back up and gave it to me I can tell you right now it was the jalapeno! It shouldn't take that long especially if I was the only person there. Chicken sandwich consisted of store bought bland deli chicken so if you're ok with that then it's good? Not for me as I was hoping for Vietnamese flavored chicken I'm used to. The bbq pork was ok, had more of an "Asian" taste to it. The pork roll with jambon, hmmm...couldn't taste the meats because of pate and mayo, both store bought btw. The supposed pickled veggies? I asked for a refund on my milk tea after the person behind the counter started completing order for the people that were behind me in line.
