It located off the Rollins Ave, at the corner of the alley going into the Federal Plaza, across from the Qdoba parking lots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were a few indoor seating tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bakery items were displayed on racks and shelves. Waiting two or so minutes to receive attention. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lighting was good, since it sat at the corner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Was shopping the discount items within an hour from their closing. However, choices were very limited on this particular day.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute bakery with a big interior with seating inside and 2 bathrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is available in the back. Lot of bakery selections available. It was nice they also have salty food like the curry in addition to bakery bread and dessert. Got the magnolia tea and jasmine tea which both were really good. I liked how they have a no ice option. The egg tarts were nice and soft on the inside. The curry was ok and the fruit bread was a bit hard, but overall a good experience.
Teamania, an Asian bakery & cafe in Rockville, MD is a haven for hipsters, coffee & tea drinkers and those who like to indulge is both sweet and savory baked goods. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The warm industrial interior offers a good amount of seating at tables, booths and plush chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When you enter the cafe, you are immediately greeted by cases of baked goods. As you move forward, you can order a drink. I visited on a busy Saturday, unfortunately. The cases of baked goods had not been replenished, the water container was empty and the napkin dispenser was bare. At one point, the staff making the drinks just stopped calling out customers' names, so you basically had to either stand at the pick up area or watch it from your seat in the dining area. My matcha latte was okay, but my husband's strawberry peach lime iced tea was delicious! It also came in a reusable cup, which is a plus. I had a glazed cronut (a croissant/donut mashup) that was good, but the amount of grease that soaked into the paper plate and napkins turned my stomach and made me not want to ever eat another. I would suggest visiting on a weekday, if possible, because weekends are just too busy and the staff are pulled in too many directions.

I used the TooGoodToGo app to order Teamania and it was ok for what I paid for it. But I can't lie, I was extremely disappointed in the presentation. They literally just threw a bunch of stuff in the bags so I had no clue what was what. And the whipped cream was all over the place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is very cute and picture worthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was nice and quick. I will try it again, but next time I'll just order and eat there.
Came here specifically to try their egg tarts and we were not disappointed! They had several different kinds and I equally like their Portuguese and Hong Kong egg tarts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a nice clean bakery with plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And they also sell some tasty drinks. Definitely a must-stop for your sweet cravings.
I needed a place to do some work until my hotel opened before a conference. Teamania was conveniently located so I spent a whole afternoon there. The desserts were delicious and beautiful. I was there long enough to have two different drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lighting, music, and overall ambiance was perfect for work. It was quiet enough for focused work, but comfy and energizing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great as well. They brought the tea out to my table when it was ready. I was visiting the area the night before and found this cafe while searching for lunch breakfast locations. I saw the souffle pancakes and immediately wanted to try them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe was very cute, clean and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went to counter to order the pancakes since they took about 25 minutes to make. While I waited, I observed the pastries on display and they all looked delicious. I also ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea and it was very refreshing. Since I ordered the pancakes to-go, the cashier bought my order to me when it was ready. Since the order included ice cream, I wanted to remove it from the pancakes once I got to the car. Upon looking at the pancakes, I noticed they were burnt (not pictured). I took the order back inside and the cashier apologized. Since I didn't want to wait again, she offered me a refund or pastries as a replacement. I decided to get the pastries. Overall, I was disappointed that I wasn't able to try to the pancakes but the customer service was appreciated.
Came during HookTea launch weekend for BOGO drinks! Not sure what HookTea is, but the flavors were pretty unique - I got the White Magnolia Milk Tea, but there was also a Gardenia Milk Tea, Peach Milk Tea, Apple Milk Tea, Da Hong Pao (which I was told was like an oolong). Also got a couple pastries to try. White Magnolia Milk Tea: Got this at 50%, wish they allowed ice adjustment. The tea was definitely sweet enough, and very floral tasting. Matcha Red Bean Bun: Didn't like the cream cheese filling in this, didn't say it at cream cheese on the sign either. Didn't taste any matcha, but the bun itself was pretty fluffy (fluffier than it looked, anyway). Taro Crossaint: Not taro, and the taro filling wasn't super sweet. Wish they refilled the more popular pastries - I had my eyes on a pistachio cream donut for a while but it wasn't refilled during the 45 mins I sat there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a great variety of pastries and cakes, and it's a cute place to hang out with friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would give it a 3.5.
I think teamania has def been a fav around the area. This weekend is the launch of new arrival Hook Teas and have the BoGo promo. So of course a must visit. Ordered Jasmine Snowy & Da Hong Pao (hot) , both were delicious! Honestly can't decide which is my fav! I've also tried white magnolia which was very subtle and soft on the palette. So yeah there's one for everybody! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of bakery goods and cakes to pair with and place can get packed so seating first come first serve[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Go try their teas. Overall: I think Teamania is one of those places that you come to for the vibe and to take pictures. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is really nice and the food looks great, but wouldn't place it above other similar stores in terms of taste.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: In my opinion the bread here was pretty normal. Nothing in particular stood out, but there also wasn't anything wrong with it. I tried several different types and a souffle pancake. I think the food was more so esthetic than it was tasty. Service: Standard service for a bakery, pick your own bread and then bring it to the front to purchase. Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think the ambiance of the place is great, plenty of room and seating. The interior is also really well lit and has access to a lot of windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
We stopped by for a drink and some baked goodies. The breads they sell are all so big and aesthetically beautiful. I got the Vietnamese coffee and really enjoyed it - strong coffee and perfect sweet taste. The price wasn't too bad either. My friend got a fruit cake slice and a pineapple bun. As an avid bread eater, she was happy with both. The service left a little to be desired. I don't expect super smiley service or anything, but the cashier seemed impatient while taking our very short order and kinda smooshed the fruit cake my friend picked out while boxing it up and didn't say anything. The bakers you can see through the window did not look like they wanted to be there. It sounds like what we I felt isn't a common experience, so this might have been a one off. It didn't affect our food experience!
We went here to try the tarts and we were a big fan! The Hong Kong one, Portuguese, & coconut ones were all lovely! The first one was eggy, while the second one was custardy, and the last one had an amazing texture & toasted coconut taste. The tiramisu matcha latte was alright not the biggest fan since it was just super milky and didn't taste like tiramisu. Would go back for other pastries tho!

Such a cute, quaint, delicious place to brunch with friends. Ample parking in the back lot, lots of indoor seating options, reasonable prices for pastries (ranging from $2.75-4.00 each & buy 5 get 1 free), reasonable prices for cook-to-order food, but I felt the coffee, teas, and bubble teas were a bit highly priced compared to similar shops (so we opted out of those). With six in our party, we had a good number of pastries split across three trays. Each had really great quality taste profiles. We had this joking woe..'OMG this is a lot of bread-based food", but everything was so light and fluffy it was just pure yummy versus heavy eating regret. The only regret was they kept coming out with rotating items, so while we selected what looked amazing when we first got there we were so jealous to see new things coming out. My favorite pastry item was a toss up between the fluffy cheesecake (very unique compared to dense American cheesecake style) & the pistachio bon (crispy top edges almost croissant-like, with a muffin-esque middle). We also ordered the souffle pancakes. I tried the matcha w.coconut ice cream, my husband the chocolate with strawberry ice cream. I really enjoyed my pairing-the matcha was the perfect amount, enough to get the flavor profile without being overwhelming (though I thought it came with red bean and it didn't) and the coconut ice cream had AMAZING flakes of crispy charred coconut within giving a bold coconut flavor. I also liked that the pancakes were paired with a fruit medley to give a fresh lightness to the dish profile. The chocolate, equally as yummy-same with the strawberry chunks in the ice cream, but the pancakes were paired with oreos, making it a tummy ache-I wish they mentioned this on a menu somewhere so we could have just opted for fruit medley. But both worth the buy! The table also got a strawberry box treat- which is basically a loaf of bread hallowed out.they take the inner bread chop it up, mix it with sugar, whipped cream, fruit, and stuff it back in. While this looks super pretty, the taste was meh. It would have been better if the bread was manipulated in some way (i.e French toast style, soaked in some liquid, etc- it was just too plain basically bread). This wasn't worth the buy, it was more nice looks than taste. Overall, it was a great place to hang out, catch up, and share pastries. read more

SOLID Chinese bakery! I'm always on the hunt for good traditional Asian baked goods in the area but was let down a few times. I'm so glad I tried this place. The dining room is spacious and had plenty of tables and seating. They sell a variety of bread, pastries, and cakes as well as made-to-order drinks, desserts, and hot food. They also have a microwave (!) which is so considerate because I definitely recommend heating up the buns (not croissants) for 20-30 secs. I picked up 3 items - a lava cheese tart, green onion and pork floss roll, and coconut raisin bun. All of them were amazing. The bread dough was pillowy soft, buttery, and subtly sweet, with generous amount of filling. My favorite was the lava cheese tart - great cheesy flavor, slightly salty, and not sweet at all (a compliment). The price is pretty comparable to other alike Asian bakeries in the region but the quality is top-notch. I really look forward to coming back and trying more options. read more

Wow, This is a really trendy place. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to bring. Nice music, amaaazzing interior decor, tasty bakery items, easy parking, easy to reach. The staff was very pleasant to talk to you. Quick service too. Relaxing seating area. I went late in the evening(almost closing time), so some shelves were empty. I was looking for a cafe to sit at and get some work done, and I randomly found Teamania during my search. This cafe has such a cozy and quiet ambiance with soft background music playing, and there's also plentiful seating for a small cafe. There's WiFi for those who need internet, but the WiFi log in information is on the receipt, so it's obviously only for paying customers. There's lots of cute desserts and pastries such as macaroons, croissants, and tarts, and there's many hot and cold drink options. I got their pistachio bon bon which had pistachio pieces sprinkled on top with a pistachio flavored confection as the filling. For my drink, I got their iced coffee with cream and sugar included. There's many pastries to choose from, and I was honestly indecisive at first, but I definitely made the right choice with the pistachio bon bon. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. This is one of the only spots that I know of that have japanese pancakes, and they don't disappoint. The pancakes are what I'd imagine eating a cloud would be like. Light, airy and delicious. There is a bit of a wait tho. The pastries are really good too and I could easily see myself overindulging on the various sweets and buns. The ambiance is very relaxed and beautiful. The neutral, color scheme is lovely and there are areas to work if needed. Finally, the staff are sweet and accommodating. They are patient especially with people like me who can't decide and probably look confused. Overall, highly recommend and I can't wait to return. read more

My daughter introduced me to Teamania, one of the many Asian bakeries in Rockville. They offer complimentary parking in the rear. I ended up buying more than I wanted because of their buy 5, get 1 free deal. For food, I ended up getting a slice of Strawberry Mousse cake, Hong Kong Style egg tart, Tuna and Corn Croissant, Roast Pork Bun, Cheesecake, Pork Floss Scallion Roll, Ham and Cheese Croissant, and Steamed Scallion Bun with Grilled Chicken. Everything was pretty tasty. Unsure of how sweet the Fruit Tea would be, I played it safe and got a hot Rose Green Tea. read more
Teamania is really bright and well decorated. Everything is well organized and neat with a couple of places to sit. I've ordered multiple things there before, the soufflé pancake, pineapple bun, and other wonderful treats. Everything is delicious and really well made. Definitely sign up for the rewards! Solid 4.5/5! My go-to cafe if I'm in Rockville. I literally come here once a month to satisfy my craving for egg tarts and pork buns. They have a great selection of both savory and sweet bakery items. I find it awesome that they also serve full meals like poke bowls here too, but I have yet to try it! Deducted 0.5 for (1) slightly more expensive prices compared to asian grocery store bakeries for bread (pastries here are definitely made with more quality) and (2) The honey muffin I had here was WAY too sweet. Was not enjoyable. Cafe itself was super well maintained and everything is self service. Cashier will box and wrap everything up for you in the end. Imagine yourself a business owner - sometimes you have to deal with a lot of dumb customers. The fact that you're able to answer questions with a smile and be professional about says everything about your business. I sauntered into this place for a meeting a few weeks ago, and after looking at the menu, proceeded to ask perhaps the dumbest question I have ever uttered: "what's milk tea?" It's milk. And it's tea. There are your ingredients! What more did I think there was? But the owner was incredibly cordial and took the time to explained it to me, which I greatly appreciated. The other thing I liked about this place - other than the litany of cakes, sweets and some incredible buns (I got the duck bun!) is that it is clean, bright and spacious. Unlike most other places, it doesn't sacrifice ambiance and service for food quality. Aside from the food and atmosphere, there were also plenty of tables with a lot of books that a customer can grab, peruse through and just enjoy an afternoon of cakes and tea. In fact, while I was there, a little girl had her birthday celebration, and the owner took the time to bring out extra water and ensured the group was take care of. Sure, it's in Maryland, but TeaMania is definitely with a try if you're ever in the area. Bonus point: the bathrooms were super clean! read more
I took home a selection of desserts to try out with the kids and added in an iced green tea. Presentation=10 stars!!... absolutely beautiful and packaged with the greatest of care. The pictures I will post are the desserts after a 40 minute drive home. The imperfections were due to beltway driving. Believe me, these desserts were perfect when boxed! My take-home stash consisted of 2 mango mousse, 1 apple mousse, 1 strawberry mousse, and 1 slice of fruit cheesecake. The mousse was like eating a lightly flavored cloud of sweetness. The fruit jelly inside each dessert was smooth and fresh. Even the candy/icing disk that held each item to its tiny cardboard support was flavored to complement the dessert and was tasty. I'm picky about floral notes in food and drinks and I found the iced green tea to be more floral than I like but it was refreshing and not bitter at all, an especially excellent feat since I asked for just a little sweet. I would drink it again! I'm looking forward to returning with my kids to check out their other fare including steam buns. They also do birthday cakes. If you are looking for something impeccably beautiful and more elegant than our traditional American birthday cakes, this is the place!!! read more

One thing that us yelpers love is some picturesque food and drinks! Teamania is the place for this! AND it tastes as good as it looks! They specialize in teas but have many pastries and sandwiches that are a fusion between European and Asian food. I got the duck and cheese sandwich which was SO good. The bao bun really was the finishing touch to this dish and I so wish I could make this myself because I'd eat it everyday! The decor in here is so cute and I love that you can see the chefs working in the back due to the glass wall behind the counter showing the kitchen. The only downside is It is a bit small in here so sometimes you won't find a seat. My recommendation is to come to pickup instead of try to dine in. But if they were able to add some outdoor seating or expand that would be the icing on the cake! read more

The drinks were highly inconsistent and a terrible experience. We ordered 3 original milk teas, but the drink was highly inconsistent. The color between the three of them had high contrast and two of them tasted like water. The first one was fine, but I speculate they used the same tea bags. Making the drink differ less and less due to the fact that the tea bags lose its effectiveness if you use them more than once. I do not recommend you to order 3 of the same drinks, or you will get a big surprise. You might just get sugared water. This ruined my experience greatly. I'm such a huge fan of this place!! They have a large bakery in the front of the store, which has super delicious baked goods. My favorites are the mascarpone bun and the garlic cheese bun - the almond bun didn't have much filling, so I was less of a fan. They also have a case of different cakes and mousses, and the fruit mousses are so cute and shaped like fruits! I haven't tried their tea yet, but they have a good amount of options. They also have a kitchen for hot food, and their pork belly poke bowl is fantastic. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is for the wifi! They have free wifi (password on receipt), but you can only use it for 2 hours and then you get locked out for 4 hours. Normally this would be fine, but it really prohibits you from going there for an afternoon to study/work, so I'll only be going there for takeout from now on. read more
Teamania is always great and delivers quality food and drinks. We normally get the garlic cream bread, pork belly bowl, and whatever specialty drinks or teas. We've tried the other breads, cakes, and cookies and haven't had problems. Heard the steamed bun is also a hit and will need to try it someday! read more
Updating my review cause I've gone back a few times since the bad black forest incident. The drinks have gotten better. The souffle pancakes are good. I'm partial to the original flavor and served with the coconut ice cream. I haven't tried any of the mousse cakes again though. This place is getting crowded with people using wifi. They have put up more table tops for people to stand and have their pastries and drinks though. read more

I live in Baltimore and came to Rockville just to try a few restaurants. Tea mania was on my list for tea shop/treats and I'm so happy I came here! They have such a cute setup, you grab a tray and tongs, pick out whatever buns/tarts/etc that you want, and bring them to the counter. You can order tea and other items at the counter. They even have pork belly bao buns and stuff! There's a fair amount of seating and comfy chairs/tables. I bought goodies to take home because there was so much to choose from! Great place to bring a laptop and get some things done while sipping tea and having a danish. read more

On my visit I tried: - steamed duck bun - summer peach drink - strawberry souffle pancakes - black forest cake The black forest cake was great. The pancakes were also very tasty. They come with fruit and ice cream (not pictured). The reason I rated them three stars is because of the customer service, the duck bun and drink. The cashier got my order wrong twice. I was waiting for items that she didn't ring in. The bun was $10 and was full of soggy skin. There was no meat in my bun. The drink had peach puree in it. It was obvious that the puree was added first. Had it been added last, it would have blended with the drink. Bc of the amount of ice in the drink, it was impossible to mix the flavors. read more

Teamania is probably my favorite tea shop/bakery in the Rockville area and I usually end up stopping here for a drink or pastry whenever I am around. It's a very popular shop with a variety of milk teas, fruit drinks, and other speciality drinks (but they do not have boba) as well as pastries, mousses, cakes, and souffles. It's a really cute shop with about 8 tables inside and some bar seating as well. It's usually pretty packed whenever I come on the weekends and hard to find a place to sit at. They have two rows of cases for pastries and then one row of mousses and cakes right next to the register. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful in explaining what some of the drinks are which is nice. Drinks: - Lychee blossom - Delicious, fresh lychee flavored drink with milk foam on top. A little bit icy. - Mango milk cap - Fresh mango drink with milk cap on top. - Midori milk tea - A milk tea with mint, matcha, and espresso! An awesome combination. The mousses are a little unique and not my favorite, but they are very cute and small. I really enjoy the taro pastries and usually snag one every time I come. They are not sweet but it's a taro puff with real taro filling inside! Overall, I really like Teamania because of the good drinks and variety of Asian pastries! It's also a nice place to chill with friends and hang out or even study. read more

The moment you walk-in, you feel an alluring ambiance: wooden displays of freshly baked goods, clean kitchen with friendly staff, neutral colors in seating area, and soft piano tracks filling the atmosphere. It's a great place to escape from a schedule-driven life to somewhere at your own tempo. Teamania is offering daily specials: half-priced entrees after 7pm! I ordered the smoked salmon pasta made with artichoke, spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella and parmesan, and Alfredo sauce. Although the ingredients sound great, the dish was too dry and too salty. Honestly, the penne was dehydrating it's way back into the box. It was A 5-inch diameter entree for $4, so you get what you paid for. I'm not sure what to expect from the other entrees. Nonetheless with a helpful staff, orders delivered to your table, and tranquil atmosphere, I still enjoyed my experience very much! read more

Order Doordash delivery & received stunning-looking desserts + duck sandwich. Duck tasted good but lots of fatty skin & my first bite was all fat. The egg tart was great and while the French Opera dessert presented like a dream, the yellow cake inside was on the dry side. Desserts came with beautiful individual boxes with Bread Corner logo printed on them. Unsure if the two businesses are merged & swapping products. I enjoyed the change of pace with the duck sandwich & its steamed roll. read more
Pastries never hit the spot :( I always get a lot of bread with my friends and we are never satisfied. Phantom menace and chrysanthemum milk cap also called oolong milk cap are good. My friend told me about the chrysanthemum milk cap and i tried it and love it! I like it with a little less syrup, but it might be my favorite milk cap there. The phantom menace is also really good :) OH I also like the dragon fruit drink without any sugar :) It's a cute area to get work done. Employees are really nice and service is great. What a cute shop! It was overwhelming with all the options but even though we went later in the afternoon, there was a wonderful selection. I definitely grabbed with hungry eyes. The soufflé pancakes were absolutely delicious- we are going back a second day in a row because my husband was jealous I had it without him. My only disappointment was not knowing what was in many of the breads or them not being properly labeled. I grabbed a bread next to the sign that said shredded pork and inside- there was no meat- but instead a cream sauce that smelled like mayo. (Personally loathe mayo) Next time I go back, I'll ask what it is so I never grab it by mistake again. The service was great, the staff were friendly and attentive. read more

Such a cute place! Quick food, without being fast food, and lots of cute options to boot. Not a million vegetarian options, but enough that you can find something. Check out their site for their daily deals. I think Thursday is half of salad day, and the quinoa salad isn't too shabby. So many special desserts. The prices are wonderful, especially for the area. The space is bright and inviting. There's a dedicated laptop table if you need to get some work done.
