In a city area that feels more like a theme park - I call it Drunken Disney - it is nice to find an oasis where you can still hear originals. Got some footage of Ms. Maddox who is here fairly regularly. The building itself is the oldest in downtown Nashville. AJs is the oldest on Lower Broad itself (1862), but this one has been around since 1820. It was originally a shop and a residence, which was typical in this period. Years back this was occupied by Pancho & Lefty's, which is now in Sylvan Park. Teddy's opened when they moved in 2023 (March 15 to be exact). The business is operated by The Nations Brewing company, which explains their primary beer choices - Nations owns Fat Bottom Brewing, Music City Beer Co., and Brvazzi Hard Italian Soda. Enough history, let's talk about Lefty's. This spot is off the main drag by about 50 feet, just far enough the prices drop a few bucks per drink. They claim to have the best burger on Broadway. I am not sure if it is the best or not, but they do make a solid burger. Weighing in at $17, it is a 6 oz burger with Tillamook Sharp Cheddar on a Potato bun. Definite win. Today, I just had a bowl of chili, while she had a house salad with grilled chicken added on top. I think they overdo the cheese on the salad, but I would still have the salad again some time. Grilled chicken is very nicely done. The chili is fairly pedestrian, but has a nice flavor. I would say these are just average, so going for the burger is a good option. As for the drinks, in downtown, where $8-$12 domestics are the norm, it is nice to see local craft as low as $5. The other spot in the Lower Broad area worth checking out is Broadway Brewhouse. I live downtown, so will definitely return. I actually prefer brews other than Fat Bottom, but having a cheaper beer with good music? A win in my book.

10/10. I celebrated my birthday on the second floor with ~40 people. The food was so good!! (Brisket, stuffed peppers, mac and cheese, salad). It was super easy to set up the event with Iris. We were able to play our own music and project to TV with help from Jess, and our bartender was amazing :). After the three hours were over. We went upstairs for 10mins while they cleaned and came back for karaoke. It was the best time!!

Teddys tavern is a great spot right off broadway! One of the bars in the area that you can actually sit down and have a great meal. Big menu with plenty of tasty items. I had their spin on a hot chicken sandwich which was great. We tried their house margarita as well which was hand crafted by the very knowledgeable bartender. Great ambiance, live music, fun spot!

Good spot right across from Bridgestone Arena. They have a downstairs bar and a rooftop, it definitely gets busy no matter where you are! There's a good selection of beer and cocktails. We liked the sloppy joe and the hot chicken sandwich!

This place was "okay-ish" First and foremost, service was horrible. Sat on the rooftop and never got anyone to come help us after 20 min. Had to walk over and place my food and drink order at the bar to get service. Food overall was good, the chicken sandwich was pretty damn good, however I could tell it has been sitting for a min. Bun was soaked in oil and chicken was lukewarm. Would have treated better if I got it fresh I'm assuming. Nachos were garbage (fries, beans, cheese, and meat?) better of getting some chilli cheese Fritos from the ice cream truck. Positive.... Ambiance and location is awesome, and perfect place to pregame before the game.

This is must stop in Nashville!!!! If you want great draft beer, excellent delicious food and impeccable service...you HAVE to come here! We had the pretzels and beer cheese and the cheeseburger and both were amazing! Probably the BEST pretzels and cheese we have ever had! Liz (the lizard) was so hospitable and gave the greatest service and then we had Chase who was equally hospitable. Good music and atmosphere. Can't say enough good things about this place. You just have to come here!! Period. Came back later and service was unfriendly with Ivy and Becca. Scared to order from them!!!! Mean girls!! But JP the entertainment was awesome!! We got the wings and they were petrified! Don't get those! Bartender makes the difference for sure ! We wanted Liz and Chase back!!!!

Teddy's is just a few steps off of Broadway, and it was much less packed. They have an awesome rooftop bar if you're in the mood to hang outdoors (it's partially heated in the winter), and they have live music on the other two floors. Their chicken sandwich was pretty good, and the drinks were fine. Prices were a little high, but they do provide a local's discount with your Nashville driver's license!

    Great deal on beer!

This is a fun place to chill off Broadway. The beer special is fantastic (Music City Brewery 16 oz for $2 ). The bartender was super fun to talk to. The food was not as good as we expected. They advertised "best burger" but I have had better. We also ordered a salad and wings which was just OK. The music was not as good as other places we visited in Nashville.

Was in the area for a concert and wanted something close and not a chain restaurant. Once we arrived we were immediately seated close to the stage. Loved the atmosphere of the old Nashville feel. We had the pretzels with the beer cheese for an appetizer, the pretzels were hot and fresh, beer cheese had great flavor with just the right amount of heat. Burgers were really good! Nothing fancy here, just good food, good service and great music. This is what makes Teddys unique! Keep up the good work, keep being you!

    The best burger on broadway!

This place was amazing! The bartender had a little bit of sass which we loved right off the bat. He was fun and got down to business. We told him we came in specifically because the sign said they had the best burger in Broadway. And I'm gonna have to say. I think they may have been right! The cottage fries were so good also. The guy that was playing music set the tone for a relaxing late lunch. Would recommend this place. 100/10

When we…read morevisited 14TENN, it was completely under construction in the dead of winter with obviously no heat or electricity. We bundled up in coats and scarves, and walked around the empty construction site at night with our iPhone flashlights 14TENN only consisted of some raw wood, a few original beams and a wonderful owner named Sean, who had no staff hired in Nashville yet. But we knew we HAD to get married there. We could see their vision and it matched ours. BEST DECISION EVER. I mean look at this place. And their customer service.. Over the top!! I could go on for days. Just know, the insanely beautiful space is just the icing on the cake. It's the people there that make this place what it is. Which leads me to our wedding coordinator Kaitlynn Montgomery. An angel in human form. This girl, y'all. I messaged her at least once a week with another ridiculous idea. And she encouraged me on every single one of them. Anyone who knows me knows how annoyingly Type A I am and how I prefer to do things myself and plan every detail to nauseam. Kaitlynn took SO much off my plate. If I asked her about something or suggested something, she had already taken care of it 3 days prior. She was always 5 steps ahead of me at all times. She single handily took my stress level down 1,000 notches on a daily basis. Every single last detail or idea that we came up with for this wedding would absolutely have never been possible without Kaitlynn. She brought it all to life. And Ellyse.. Her and Kaitlynn worked their butts off together on our wedding day and it was perfect. Every time I saw Ellyse that day, she was smiling ear to ear and it immediately put my nerves at ease. These two girls are just the absolute sweetest and SO freaking good at their jobs. Now, one of the most important guy of the night... Our alcohol and bar concierge, Hunter!! I remember calling him one day thinking, he is going to kill me and I'm about to make him hate his job I was like, So I was thinking about cocktail hour and how it would be cool to serve hand-crafted blueberry mojitos named after our dog in 150 coconut cups with stir sticks that have our dog's face on them. Oh and I want them all displayed on shelves with signs and the whole works. He was like, hell yeah, you got it. Not only that, he insisted on pulling out all the tricks. Infusing his own simple syrup with mint and having us over TWICE to taste the recipe and make sure it was perfect. He loves his job and it shows. He took full ownership of the bar and making sure we didn't even have to think about it. THANK YOU HUNTER!!! In summary,14TENN was an absolute dream come true and we cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for EVERYTHING. We love y'all!

We decided to not use a wedding planner, and Elizabeth and Samantha were top notch helping us plan such a large undertaking. At our first meeting with Elizabeth she had a folder with recommended vendors. We felt the best part about Houston Station is that ALL of the vendors are in the building, they are used to working seamlessly together, and Elizabeth has long standing relationships with them. At our planning meetings, Elizabeth and the vendors were finishing our sentences! That is how much they anticipated our needs. By the end of the wedding, we felt like Elizabeth and the staff were family. Elizabeth is no nonsense, runs a tight ship, and has the biggest heart of gold. She is a HUGE Alabama fan, and my husband is a HUGE Auburn fan. Of course we were married on the Iron Bowl. Elizabeth set up the grooms room with a TV for the game so my husband could watch it until the last minute. Even in the face of Alabama's loss to Auburn, she knew how special it was for my husband, and she graciously played along. Clearly, I can't say enough about the venue and the people. If you're looking for an upscale way to do it yourself, go to Houston Station. It is worth every cent.

From the outside, Houston Station doesn't appear to be anything at all. Was I surprised when I walked up the stairs! A mix of exposed wood and brick generates a very comfortable feel for this space which accommodates about 250 to 300 people. Forget all of the fussy rules, Jeff who is the facility manager emphasizes the flexibility and versatility of the event space. The space is handicap accessible and when you rent, you get the building for the entire day. A great kitchen and private rooms for preparation enhance the characteristics of the station to make other vendors happy. Also, a fantastic little outdoor terrace would be a fabulous place to chill in warmer weather. The possibilities are seriously endless!
