    Jumbo Cinnamon Bun

I recently went to Ted's Bulletin for a double date. My go to is the Marks Breakfast. We all shared the Jumbo Cinnamon Bun which was good. The cinnamon bun was large but it didn't really have an X factor. Service was good as well. I call ahead to get a table specifically to accommodate a stroller but I didn't get the correct table.

The service was average for any restaurant. The manager and other servers did many rounds to offer everyone at the different tables if they needed more waters. The atmosphere is laid back and very casual. The food was decent but nothing made it stand out. The deviled eggs with mustard seed was a nice touch and I love deviled eggs with bacon. The truffle fries taste more like a slight version of garlic fries and the flavor is just not there. The grilled cheese was good but nothing made it stand out. The tomato soup was the best thing I ordered as it was very creamy and rich but again didn't blow me away. I believe the serving size of almost everything can be shared between friends or couples. This is a place to stop in for a bite but level expectations.

This was such a great spot for breakfast. The strawberry pop tart was actually really good and fresh! We ordered the kids waffle for my daughter (it was HUGE (adult size lol)), Breakfast burrito with steak, French toast and Big Mark breakfast. There wasnt one single thing I was "eh" about. However, the coffee wasnt delicious. Otherwise, the place was amazing for breakfast and wish we had this spot in Miami, FL!!!

I am in DC for a conference, so obviously solo dining can always be an interesting experience. I decided to give Ted's Bulletin a try as I was craving some classic comfort food after a long travel day. First off, service was phenomenal. I felt so welcomed and received equal amounts of attention compared to those groups of people who may have a larger bill. The inside was cozy and casual. I ordered the classic Ted's grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese was so incredibly melted and perfectly toasted. The tomato soup had a delicate, not acidic and not salty taste. It was just right. I also got the marshmallow cupcake to go, which unfortunately I did not grab a picture of because I was too busy enjoying it! A great spot if you want a good meal with a casual environment, given DC is a fine dining city.

Great place for lunch! The food here is amazing. Got the fried chicken sandwich and it was enough for 2 meals. We had a large group and the service and food came very quickly. They treated us very well, especially for a group. The space itself was also nice looking and modern.

It was my first time there and Omg . The food was absolutely amazing . It was very packed in there . People kept coming in and out. Service was great. I got the steak cook medium and that sauce was 10/10. The pancake . Can't wait to go back

I feel like this is a great place to take a friend that's visiting DC for breakfast. It's classic, timeless dishes with a twist, and delightful service. Our server is always great and friendly and the menu is gorgeous. The chicken and waffles are a must try if you have to order anything. The eggs Benedict is divine. Tip: call for a reservation it gets very busy and prepare for a bit of patience and enjoy your company! The environment is warm and classic.

So I do like it here but it's crazy how expensive it is and the drinks are expensive too. Probably in the past 3 visits at least one mistake each visit. Come visit in the day. What a carnival

We stopped in for brunch and thankfully we had a reservation because they were busy and bustling. After a short wait we were seated. The menu has lots of yummy options to pick from. We selected the chicken and waffles and grilled chicken. The chicken was white meat and said to be juicy and flavorful, the waffle was said to be on the drier side and some extra hot honey was helpful. The grilled shrimp tacos were lacking flavor and not enjoyable. Definitely not something I would order again. The server was attentive despite being very busy in his service area. The hostess was also friendly and full of energy, great person to have at the front.

Was impressed by my initial visit. I've been an occasional customer at Cap Hill, so my first time to try another location of Ted's (there are 8 now). Ages ago, I used to live in an apt. on 14th Street, 3 blocks from here. Ted's was nowhere on the radar screen then. My, how this neighborhood has changed. Ordered the crab cake benedict. It's high quality, topped with a splendid, homemade hollandaise sauce (not from a mix). Split the order with hub; plating was lovely. Hash browns were golden crisp and cappuccino was delicious, plentiful. Very good customer service, too.

    Fried Pickles

Came here for the first time with hubby on a weekend. We ordered the fried pickles appetizer, seasonal ted tart (cherry blossom), mushroom gyro, and chicken and biscuits. Total came out to approximately $54, not including tip. What's Hot - Quality. Delicious. Their fried pickles appetizer is so good! My husband and I have tried our fair share of fried from numerous restaurants. This place is the top contender. The pickles are large slices, not overly battered, and served with a buffalo ranch sauce. Their buffalo ranch sauce definitely has a spicy kick, which my husband and I enjoyed. My mushroom gyro was so good! It was nicely seasoned, had a nice texture, and had a fair amount of vegetables included in the wrap. My husband and I enjoyed their fries, which are not too salty and have a nice texture. My husband really enjoyed his chicken and biscuits. He was disappointed that there was no spice from the hot honey that coated the biscuits. However, he loved the texture of the biscuits. The biscuits were soft and tender. They tasted freshly made. - Menu. That they serve breakfast all day is much appreciated, because my husband and I love breakfast. They have a good variety- something for everyone, including vegans. - Portions. Very good. My husband and I left full. Good value for money. - Location. Within reasonable walking distance from the U Street metro, which is helpful. - 5 percent service fee. It's in fine print on their menu, but it appears they change a 5% service fee so that their staff are paid a minimum wage. - Reservations. I made reservations and upon arrival, we waited less than a couple of minutes to get seated. Definitely recommend making reservations, because this place appears to be very popular and gets busy quickly. What's Not - Service. Inattentive and do not pay attention to details. Our waitress was not good. To start, we ordered water for drinks and our appetizer arrived first. After our appetizer arrived, I had to pull another wait staff aside and ask for water. Additionally, I finished my water glass and no one refilled it. My husband also asked for an additional side of fries. The waitress substituted the hash browns with the fries and we were charged $2 extra for that. I'm uncertain if substitutions are explained and included in their menu, but we were surprised by the substitution charge. - Acoustics. Terrible. The noise in this restaurant carries, so on days when it is busy, it gets very loud in here. Additionally, they play loud music. Combine the loud music with the noise of the customers makes it very difficult to have a conversation here. Definitely a detractor. My husband and I agree that this not a place we would return to for dine in. We will only order takeaway. Final Answer Willing to come back, but to order takeaway and not dine in.

Ted's is a perfect spot for breakfast in the city! It's so cozy, with a traditional diner feel, but with so many awesome and diverse options. They are famous for their Ted's tarts which are always so fresh and I love trying the seasonal flavors. We recently went for breakfast and I got the Turkish eggs - so flavorful, light, & delicious. Our server, Karina, was amazing and so sweet!

I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly but busy restocking as it was towards the end of the day. I had the cheery old fashion as she promised it was one of their stronger drinks. I didn't find this to be true, it was actually overly sweet and tasted more like syrup. The second drink I picked was the bourbon bash. I thought this one would be sweet as it's made with different juices but it was actually on the stronger side. Definitely stronger and better than the Cherry old-fashioned. To snack on I went with the steak and cheese, eggrolls and bacon, blue cheese brussels sprouts. The egg rolls were great. Lots of flavor and the texture was spot on. The brussels sprouts were good for the most part. They did go a little overboard with the blue cheese for my tastebuds. My second visit was for a late breakfast. I started with an Irish coffee by recommendation of the bartender. It was a great way to start the day. It was strong enough but with the right balance. My breakfast plate didn't meet my expectations. My eggs were too running, bacon was chewy, toast was stale and the hash browns were only cooked on one side. I did ask for them to be crispy. I picked at it enough to curb my hunger.

The outdoor area approaching was really nice and had a pleasant vibe, and the inside ambiance was cool too -- good atmosphere overall. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We were told we couldn't be seated in a booth because of a section closure, but about 10 minutes later a family was seated in that same section. When we asked about it, we were told staff "thought the staff was leaving" -- which didn't really add up and felt like an inconsistent excuse. It also took about 20 minutes for anyone to greet our table, and another 10 minutes after that just to get water. Once we did order, there wasn't much guidance from staff -- no recommendations on best sellers or specifics about the entrees, just general "it's good" responses across the board. Food-wise, it was a mixed bag: Seafood egg rolls -- really good Stuffed shrimp -- really good Spinach dip -- not the best Lamb chops (my entree) -- two good ones, two very fatty chops that were not good around 8/10 they were seasoned well! Mashed potatoes -- not good Spinach side -- not good bland, needed seasoning Mac n cheese -- pretty good Overall the meat itself was underwhelming given the price point/expectations, seasoning was it! The food had some genuine highlights, but between the slow service, the seating mix-up, and a few misses on the sides, the overall experience didn't quite live up to expectations. Might give it another shot for the ambiance, but hoping for better service next time!

My wife got the (I think it was a special) Tuna poke for her main, which she said was really tasty. But, it also looked like a small portion in one of those weird plates that only had a modest divut in the middle for food. Nonetheless, she liked it a lot. If it becomes a mainstay, they just need to make it a bigger portion on a better bowl. We're happy we finally came and will return.

I recently had dinner at The Dish & Dram and had a really great experience overall. The space has a…read morecozy, relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for a date night or a casual dinner with friends. We ordered a few dishes to share, and everything was well-executed and flavorful. The brussels sprouts were a standout to start, and the mussels in the coconut curry had a rich, well-balanced flavor. I also really enjoyed the grilled Faroe salmon with the butternut squash purée--it was cooked perfectly. The steak frites with the red wine mushroom reduction glaze was another favorite and definitely worth ordering. For drinks, I tried the Cherry Blossom "Another Trip Around the Sun" (a seasonal cocktail available through April 12th), along with the brown sugar old-fashioned and the lavender French 75. All three were well-made and complemented the meal nicely. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, good food, and quality cocktails. I'd definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a reliable dinner spot.
