tl;dr I can't say enough good things about this company, full stop. I've been having MASSIVE issues with my HVAC system, like whoa. I've had several of their people out to my house to get me sorted, including twice when they came out simply to tweak stuff that I didn't know how to do. Every person they sent has been friendly and respectful and before each visit I was sent a text with the name and picture of the person I'd be working with. They've only charged me for the actual work they did and their pricing was comparable to what I found elsewhere. There were several things they recommended but they let me know which were important and which were optional/could wait - I didn't get a hard sell on literally anything, even the work that definitely needed doing. As a single mom with 3 kids it's a big deal to know my money was well-spent and that I can trust the work. They took me through every issue they diagnosed, in detail. Offering to take me on to the roof to see/verify what they found, taking videos/pics to show me, drawing diagrams, explaining it all in layman's terms so I could understand their recommendations - at no point did I walk away feeling like I was having to just take their word for it. Also, as a woman, I want to point out that they spoke to me exactly like my male friend - I never felt like I was being talked down to in any way. They really went the extra mile for me, squeezing me in to their schedule and following up with me after every step (this took 3 separate appointments *not* including the diagnostic). I called this company, and spoke with Tanya, three times in an attempt to get an itemized invoice of the work performed. Each time she got more agitated, saying "we don't usually provide an itemized invoice." If I get work done on my car I get an invoice for the work provide, the cost per hour, and any parts used. This is the 1st company I've hired that won't give me a breakdown. This was a rush job, an emergency, so I had to take the first company that responded to my request. I thought $750 was high to replace a kitchen faucet. I believe they won't provide the itemized list because they probably charged me $350 for a $50 faucet and charged me $200 an hour for the two hour job. I would stay away from this company. read more

I was in need for someone to check a heating cooling unit after 6:00 pm on a Friday night. The unit stopped heating on a very cold night. In fact it snowed earlier that day in Tucson. I placed a Google review about this business this morning. I was scheduled for service today (my air conditioner, which I purchased from them CASH about 5 years ago) was not operating properly. Minutes before 8:00 a.m. I was called and told so and so is sick and won't be able to come today. The individual went so far as to divulge what his ailment was. Which is a totally inappropriate response. When I asked for somebody else to be sent, I was told, "So and so is the one responsible for your unit." I was also informed that service could not be scheduled before Monday. I then asked for a supervisor to call me back and was given pretty much the same response. After dwelling on it for a couple of hours, I called the answering service back and told them I wanted to ensure a supervisor got the message, and that I did not want to be called back by office staff, but wanted a supervisor to call. Approximately 5 minutes later, I got a call from the same office person I spoke to previously. She wanted to let me know she asked a supervisor to call and that she also informed them of my negative Google review. I had previously had a good response from this company over the years. However, the past few interactions/years with the individuals who schedule have been less than desirable. If somebody specifically leaves a message, they don't want a return call from a specific person, why on Earth would that person call back and advise me they had given my message to a supervisor, and reported to them that I left a ngative review? I had every intention of advising the supervisor of the Google review. Now, they have a negative review here as well. I feel badly for the person whose personal illness and name were divulged to me. I will also add that this is NO reflection on the technician who initially showed up to my home recently. He has been to my home in the past as well as several others. The technicians have ALL always been professional. I would also add that the name she gave responsibility of "my unit" to is NOT the name of the technician who diagnosed my unit. Well, this is our second attempt with TempCon. They lost our business once before but they called us and wanted our business back. They wanted a chance to make things right, well so far it is an epic fail. It is August and over 100 degrees and we have been with out AC now since Friday and it is now Monday. Our AC went out Friday afternoon and they couldn't get anyone out to fix it so we had to wait until the next day. When Danny came out the next day we thought everything would be better, that was until Danny said he couldn't get the part until Monday and that no one was answering the phone at the Rheem distribution center to get the motor for the AC. Keep in mind, our AC in not even out of warranty. You can't tell me that there is no one in Tucson that has a variable speed motor to a RHeem AC that is under 10 years old. This is Arizona! We have pets! This is not okay. We get a call this morning that they found the part, they would be here shortly. Well, they call back and say that the part is no good so we will have to wait another day so they could get it from Phoenix. We even offered to drive to Phoenix to get the part ourselves, but they said they would have to call back. We haven't heard back. This hits doubly hard due to the fact that my husband asked me if I would be willing to give TempCon another try. I wish to God I had said NO!!!!! read more

Home Advisers recommend this company to me. I was socked that I got an appointment right away on my time. They called to tell me tell me Danny was was running a little late. No! problem then they sent me a picture of who was coming to my house highly fabulous! to see who is coming to home. Then he called me to tell me he was on the northwest side and GPS said 40 minutes...Told him to come down 1st instead of Oracle and then the rest. He was dressed professionally like the company he was representing nice smile also. He got on the roof and took pictures which I wanted of the unit inside and out of what he was working with. Then a picture of the whole roof because we felt that a roofing company that we got the new skylights and 2yr warranty on white coating sealer might be leaking into the bathroom. Short long of it he came down ...we had some problems but we have a home warranty service so the big thing they can take care of it when it happens! But Danny explained everything to me with the pictures and we did the smaller stuff plus it was over due on an annual check up! He took care of everything and plus he took our hose up there and hosed down the roof and go the palm fronds off the roof and cleaned up the Equipment on our unit replaced what we could spend on it...worked with me on the number of the cost and he was kind to clean all the mess of off the roof as well! These guys are good. Really good. We were saved from a hot weekend by Temperature Control when we thought we had lost the entire week to another Company that failed 3 times to get the A/C going again! Incredibly Danny spotted the real root cause for the failure in about 30 seconds in the outdoor unit. Which he fixed in minutes! But then he had to rebuild the entire unit from the ground up correcting error after error made by the prior company. Which took him less than 2 hours!! When I first called to schedule an appt. to have my home a/c ducts cleaned. I spoke to a lady on the phone, I asked her how they go about doing the job. She told me the person has a remote controlled brush/vacuum he uses on all jobs. When he should up there was no remote control vacuum, I asked him where it was he said he didn't have one. I should have stopped him right at that moment. The ceilings on some areas of this home are 14ft. high. He finished the whole job in about an hour. I was not happy because I've had this a/c duct cleaning on a similar home in the past, and it took about four hours. I'm dissatisfied because I don't think the ducts got cleaned properly. My experience with Temperature Control was exceptional from the time I first met with the Sales Manager, Albert, to the completion of the installation. They met the price of a bid from another company and still included extras like duct cleaning that the other company did not include. The installation by Claudio and his brother Rolando was done meticulously and everything was cleaned up when they were done. They took great care to insulate the heater platform and seal everything completely. Julian did a thorough job of cleaning the ducts and testing for leaks after the installation was done. The only complaint I have at all, and it is very minor, is that the duct cleaning did leave some debris in the house. read more

AVOID!!! This is the first AC company I ever purchased a service contract with. It has turned out to be the worst experience of my home owning life. The technician lied to me about the interest rate I would pay, and flirted A LOT in order to charm me into a contract and an additional item. He continued to contact me, and lead me on. My fault for falling for it, but what happened after I figured everything out was shameful. I purchased an Air Scrubber system and a service contract. He explained to me that the interest rate was 7.99% I asked if that was APR and he said, "YES" so I financed about $3000. I trusted this guy. First mistake. I didn't really pay attention to what I was paying, just signed up for autopay. That was my 2nd mistake. ALWAYS double check what the salesman says. Over the next two years they came out every six months and I didn't think there was a problem. Then I had a lot of time on my hands and decided to check up on my finances. It was then I discovered that I had been paying 7.99% MONTHLY for their bill. Over two years I had paid almost 95% interest on what I owed! Certainly NOT the 7.99% APR I was promised. I contacted the Temperature Control Office and told them I needed to get out of that arrangement and into something else. They balked. I then decided to threaten them with bad reviews. Then and only then were they willing to make a new arrangement with me. So why am I writing this bad review? Well this was 6 months ago, and I am a woman of my word. It's what happened AFTER this that I'm writing about. I decided that their service contract was not worth to me what I was paying. A 10 year contract is 20 service calls at $1500 is $75 per call. I know I could get a guy out for less. So I canceled the contract. They were unwilling to give me the entire amount even though I ended up paying over $400 interest, so I took what they offered me. Today I had another company come out. The technician told me that the Air Scrubber light was out. It's JUST been 2 years. The Temp Control tech told me it would last 2-4 years. I honestly didn't expect it to be 2. I called Temp Control and spoke with Kailee. I asked her if the light was still under warranty (it wasn't by 3 months) so I asked how I can get the light fixed. She told me that since Temp Control sent in my product registration that THEY would receive a letter from the manufacturer about the new light but since I was no longer a service customer that they probably wouldn't call me about it, and that I can call any company to get the work done. Seriously, that's what she said. I called back and spoke with Theresa (A very nice woman). I told her my story, and she begged me not to write a bad review. She would talk with Marla the office manager in the morning. I had dealt with Marla before and found her to be non-compassionate and often took her time in getting back with me. I promised Theresa I would put off the bad review until end of business the next day. If they want to make things right with me, they could fix the Air Scrubber light at the 20% discount I had as a service customer. Zach came over a week later, was very apologetic, told me that the other technician had been fired, and I wasn't the only one who he flirted with. He was all about the sale, and that's not the Temp Control way. He then gave me a price to replace the light. $418 that included a 20% discount. The company that discovered the burned out light quoted me $420 WITHOUT a 20% discount. When I brought that to Zach's attention, he gave the standard line of "We can't control what other companies charge". The other company had also offered me a 20% discount. That comes to $336. They have a good reputation, and good reviews. They will also guarantee the light for the 2 years. To their credit Temp Control did help me change my financing from 7.99% to no interest for 25 months. However when I paid off the service contract, my monthly rate did NOT go down. I contacted the finance company and they said the monthly amount would not go down even though my balance had changed. They said Temp Control controlled that, when I asked Zach about that, he said the finance company controlled that. I'm not fighting this anymore. Life is too short. read more

Expensive new A/C system purchased autumn of 2012. A/C not used until summer 2013. Yearly maintenance checks completed with most recent in January of 2016. April 2016 system not working.Temp Control charged $75 for a service call where they did nothing. Temp Control estimated repair and coolant over $1000. A second opinion from different A/C service with estimate at $250.00. Repair Temp Control stated was needed was unnecessary with an excessive cost for coolant. Temperature Control implies you need repairs that you don't. Their coolant cost is far and above what others charge. Will not use this company again. read more

That meant sitting through hours of high pressure salesmen trying to sell me every bell and whistle they could think of. My meeting with Vance from temperature control was so refreshing! He was truly more interested in what I wanted out of my system and how he could stay inside our budget. We purchased a highly efficient system for thousands less than the closest competitor.
