Reflecting back on 2025, this was my most visited coffee shop because I was obsessed with the campfire sing along from the summer menu and the gingersnap latte from the fall menu. Loved both so much. Especially during pregnancy, I would order the decaf coffee or get my matcha latte. The consistent quality has kept me coming back as a regular.

Tempole coffee roasters was my go-to place while I was studying in Davis. I always loved their coffee beans and tea, and their baristas are knowledgeble and friendly. Highly recommended.

Temple Coffee Roasters isn't just about amazing coffee--it's the little touches that make this spot extra special. I ordered a latte with oat milk, and it was perfect. The espresso was smooth and flavorful, the oat milk was steamed just right, and the whole drink felt thoughtfully crafted. What I really loved, though, was the ambiance. They have chalkboards for people to draw on, which adds such a fun, creative vibe to the space. It's great seeing the rotating designs and contributions from other customers and makes the shop feel more like a community hangout. Temple's sleek, modern style paired with those personal, artistic touches really sets it apart. The coffee prices are a little higher, but between the quality of the drinks and the welcoming atmosphere, it's completely worth it. If you love great coffee and a spot with personality, this is the place to be!

    Vanilla latte to go

I decided to try something new: their banana bread and a vanilla latte. The banana bread was incredibly moist and delicious, and the vanilla latte was a fun change from my usual order (trying to branch out, haha!). My friend and I came here to grab coffee and study for a bit. While the space is small inside, we managed to find a table. The line would get busy at times but moved quickly, and the staff was as friendly and personable as always. Since it was raining, outdoor seating wasn't an option, but the cozy vibe inside made up for it. Plus, the place was super clean, which is always a big plus for me. Temple continues to be one of my favorite spots in Sacramento

Lights, camera, action! This is the place to see and be seen. It's a neighborhood gem, that's out in plain sight. Situated across from a park, and surrounded by lunch/dinner spots, it's the perfect meetup place. There are small tables/ bar like counter outside, or you can squeeze into one of the tables inside. It's cozy and quaint, and you'll pick up that vibe from the moment you walk in. The line moves fairly fast, and you'll find the menu online, on the wall, and at the cash register. Coffee items are a tad more limited here, but the staff is great at making thoughtful suggestions. Price points are pretty much the same here, as they are at most coffee spots, but the sizing is smaller here. Enjoy the coffee, but avoid the pastries. We both found the pastries to be bland and dry. Fun spot in midtown! It's worth popping in for.

Midtown Sacramento is so cool now! I came to this location of Temple to hang out and get a few hours of work done. Took Uber so can't speak to the parking situation. Customer service is fantastic. Love the friendly baristas! Ordered a Mexican Mocha and Strawberry Donut, both of which tasted delicious. Would get both again. Wi-Fi is strong and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor patio space. Absolute coffeeshop perfection.

The final Temple location that I haven't visited yet! I feel like I've just collected all of my Pokémon badges. We came by to pick up coffee on a weekday morning and it was still pretty packed inside. The shop is on the smaller side, not as much room for a line if it gets long, but they're still super efficient here like other locations with their ordering system so you're bound to be in and out in no time. Unfortunately we must have come on a bad day because so many of their beans were out of stock or very low stock. It was a smaller shelf to begin with so even if it was full, there weren't quite as many options as you would see at K Street or S Street for example. That was a bit frustrating since restocking our Temple beans was the main reason we drove all the way downtown, and I didn't want to get the kids back in the car just to drive to another location. We ended up just getting the last bag of Three Pillars and the new spring Wonderblend instead. As for drinks my husband got our favorite Thai tea and then I tried the Matcha Sunrise from the seasonal menu. It was very refreshing! I thought it may taste watery or too carbonated but the amount of matcha cream was perfect and it made the drink super smooth and very matcha forward. Customer service was great here, as always. Very polite and very accommodating to their customers. They have a few outdoor tables if you're in a group and a lot of barstool seating which is perfect if you're by yourself trying to get work done or just want to people watch on the sidewalk. The sun doesn't quite hit that side in the morning but I imagine that makes it a nice spot on a cool crisp morning. Not sure I'll be back to this particular location since we usually frequent another coffee shop when we're in this block of town, but I'm still a Temple fan regardless!

A great place for lovers of delicious coffee. I usually order espresso on dharma beans. Impeccable taste for connoisseurs of excellent coffee without additives. The atmosphere is conducive to heartfelt conversations or reading. All baristas are always polite and pleasant to talk to.

Excellent coffee. A bit pricey compared to Starbucks across the street, but worth the surcharge when you want to treat yourself to better quality. My go to is the lattes, most dependable lattes in Sacramento. The bliss is also nice when I am trying to cut down on caffeine.

My partner and I were in Sacramento for a wedding. We needed a quick cup of coffee before heading to the airport. I found Temple on Yelp and boy is this place SO CUTE! I wish we had something like this in the OC. I loved the unique seasonal coffee selection. I got the ginger snap latte and boy does it have a snap! They use fresh ginger and I loved it! The team was also friendly too. They were getting to know us and letting us watch them create the work of art that is their coffee. I will be coming back to Temple and recommend anyone visit them!

    Drew T.

We got the Matcha Latte with oat milk and Mexican Mocha which were both very good. The Matcha Latte does not come sweetened so I asked to add vanilla sweetener so just a heads up! The service was great, very helpful employees and the drinks came out as soon as we paid. We got the drinks "for here" but when we were leaving we were able to get to-go cups. This is a very cute little coffee shop to get work done or meet up with some friends. You will have to find street parking but it is not too bad. Overall, definitely recommend this place for grabbing a drink or spending some time to chat.

I ordered the Mango Sticky rice drink. I'm not sure it was even a drink?? It had sticky rice on the bottom and mango slush on top, so it was kinda like a drink but you needed a spoon for the sticky rice. What was annoying was that not only did you have to ask for a spoon, but the spoon they provided had a small handle for such a deep cup. It was just a sticky mess. I'm good off this place.

I was welcomed in and when I let them know it was my first time they recommended some items for me. I'm not a matcha fan, so I was more interested in trying their coffee. I ordered their date orange latte ($7), the twice hojicha ($7.50), and their simple avocado toast ($9). I had heard hojicha is a less grassy, more earthy/toasty version of matcha so I was excited to give it a try and see if I liked it more than matcha. Good news! Hojicha, at least the twice hojicha from Offbeat was delicious. I enjoyed the taste of tea and the aftertaste that matcha usually has for me wasn't there. I would 100% order this again. The date orange latte (iced) was also delicious and the flavors were perfect for our warm weather. The simple avocado toast had a thick piece of fresh baked bread with a generous layer of avocado on top. I don't frequently order avocado toast but it paired well with the drinks and is a great meal to start the day. I can see why this is a favorite for so many people and now that I've finally been in, I'll be back for more!

Would recommend 3) Coconut coffee -this is a blended ice drink -I typically like coconut Vietnamese coffee, however this wasn't the best variation I have as I did wish it was a little sweeter 4) Taro coffee -rather than a cream top like some of their other drinks, this was more of taro paste with bits in the Vietnamese coffee -it wasn't too sweet so had a stronger coffee taste Tea bases: -was told they seep their tea for about 8 hours to give it that strong flavor ! -green tea - usually not a green tea person when it comes to boba drinks (only by itself) since at times the fruit flavor over mask the tea but this place makes it potent -black tea - they say this one it not popular which is a bummer cause I love black tea -herbal tea- good flavor -jasmine - didn't get to try this tea base but I am sure it taste just as good as the others 1) Peach green tea -beyond refreshing! -loved the fruit bits and peach sliced in the drink 2) Lychee green tea -lychee fruit and lychee jelly included! -Loved the strong tea taste with the fruitiness Pandan waffle Durian waffle -both of these were delicious, good flavor and best right away while it is hot! Overall: One of the best Vietnamese coffee places in the area that I enjoy going to. Quality drinks that do not disappoint.

Lovely Vietnamese cafe!…read more We ordered an egg coffee and banana matcha, both good. The interior and seating are cute with a few options to sit. The design is old fashioned yet modern with a digital ordering interface. While the banana matcha was not my taste, the egg coffee was great! The coffee was strong yet good with a pandan waffle side! I anticipated staying up all night and did. This is for those who drink espresso or ca phe sua regularly. The tasty waffle helped balance the caffeine a little. The bathroom is cute and decorated with so much aesthetic, but the downside is no toilet seat covers.
