The food was amazing! The spice level was just right, and everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The service was quick and efficient, even though the place was busy. The ambience is simple .things are served in disposable plate but honestly, when the food is this good, that doesn't matter. The portions were generous, and for this order, we spent $55, which was very fair. Highly recommended! The dishes truly capture the authentic Indo-Chinese flavors, which is rare to find.

This is not the kind of place that am used to going, it's set up as a food to go place, but it is a nice restaurant inside, you get in find a seat and look at the menu, once you decide on your choices, you go up to the counter and let them know, then you wait to be served. Oh, I forgot, you now have to go to the front of the restaurant and get your eating materials, they have paper plates, bowls and plastic forks ,knives and spoons, then you bring those to your table, once the food is brought to you (in plastic to-go plates, you eat, the food was actually good, the service was friendly and helpful. The place looks nice and clean. Overall a different experience but good. We will return.

The food here is good. I ordered the Hakka Chilli Chicken which comes with rice and fried chicken wings (not spicy). The place has a few tables to sit down but I ordered takeout. The people were still friendly and quick. I would definitely come back!

Best halal Chinese food. I've had many things from their menu, and for the most part, they've been really good. The soups and noodle dishes are delicious. Always fresh! It is a bit on the oily side, that's the only downside. Love this place!

What happened to Tengs ! I was there when they started off and fell in love with the husband and wife owners that always have a bright smile and a warm hello with my actual name which took me back a little because I had only ordered there twice at that time ! I had to go away for a while and now I come back to Tengs 3.0 I fell in love with them all over again when I walked in and it was like no Time had went by. I look at their newest menu and everything sounds delicious today in the picture is Manchurian rice (DELICIOUS someone ate a top layer off right before the picture ), chicken pakora app(Sorry these are the only ones that made it on the ride home I tried not to eat any for a picture but my will is weak when it comes to food ) fried chicken, wings app(none eaten ) , Hakka chili wings app(none eaten) . When I say everything tasted delicious I was amazed they have the flavor profiles down with an attractive look and a good amount of good (3 of the dishes are apps the rice is a regular size ) . You can adjust your spice tell them nuclear and guaranteed you'll wonder why you hate yourself so much ! They don't skimp on the sauces which I love and they have never mixed up an order of mine or not put in the included sauces to date which is not something I say about many restaurants! I'm glad to see them growing give them a try I can't wait to order catering a full tray of that delicious rice ! When you go there Tell them Bills YELP said to ask for their hot oil and oh not so spicy Chili's in vinegar! careful they didn't look bad to me until it hit the back of my tongue and then instant regret ! There is a small seating area for dining, it's decorated very nicely and very clean. They are across the street from Tri county in Levittown ! Definitely worth a try !

Teng's has some pretty solid halal Chinese spot and I'm glad that they're located in Nassau County. I will say that there are definitely standouts amongst the dishes which would include the hakka chili chicken and the chicken with mixed vegetables. I would pass on items such as the beef with garlic sauce as it had way too many onions. Basically, solely stick to the best sellers here and you're in for a solid meal.

Elevated Chinese Takeout This isn't your average Chinese takeout. You can dine in and all the utensils napkins and cutlery are on the wall opposite the counter. Their General Tso's chicken got some serious umami going on. It's garlic heavy and so delicious. Their string beans are also delicious and perfectly cooked. The scallion pancakes are light and the crispy chewy flaky layers are delightful. Health conscious customers might want to take a napkin and pat down the excess oil off. The sweet soy sauce dip for the pancakes is on point. If you like it spicy I'd ask for hot oil. The hot oil is flavorful and has a level of depth that other Chinese takeouts don't have. Their plain fried chicken wings are finger licking delicious. The batter is light and crunchy. The meat is seasoned quite well with the perfect amount of salt. It comes with a tamarind sauce, which I thoroughly enjoyed dipping the wings in that sweet and slightly sour goodness. I also had their shrimp fried rice, again not your average shrimp fried rice. Everything here is elevated and the prices are reasonable as well. Upon request they'll give you hot oil and yummy little pickled peppers for pleasant palate cleansers. This joint is a family fave and we are hooked.

We happened on this place on a Friday evening on NY. The person behind the counter welcomed to order at the counter and to be seated to be served. The selection was a good variety. The food was fresh, hot, and came out quickly. We had one shrimp fried rice, chicken and broccoli, and sesame chicken. I detected that the oil they use is a little heavy. Not, that the food was oily but the oil is a thick/heavy oil. Anyways, overall pretty good. Also, the place was small but clean.

Service: 5/5: the staff is very polite and kind, can't say anything else. I've eaten inside once and take out twice. Food: 5/5: the food is hands down the best halal Chinese I've ever had and the portions are large too. The food is oily too so be careful but the taste is heavenly. This is a good place to order take out. I like my pad Thai a little bit saucier but flavors were good. Scallion pancakes were a little on the greasy side and not the fresh, but edible. Chicken was great and had the right amount of spice. It also came with white rice. All in all, would definitely order again from this spot. The delivery was on time and contactless. read more

Just picked up my order. I ordered Chicken Pokora appetizer, Chicken Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken, Singapore Noodles, and Hakka Chili Chicken. Everything tasted amazing. My family kept asking me where I found the place. The standout dish was the Hakka Chili Chicken which was spicy but delicious. Will definitely be back. There were no leftovers. read more

Everything was delicious and fresh tasting. There were also items on the menu that are not typically in other Asian style restaurants. I never had Manchurian soup, it was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was great. The atmosphere was nice and clean. It is a small space. There were a few tables and comfortable seating even though it is a take out restaurant. There should be more advertising. If i didn't see it on Yelp, I wouldn't know it was there. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu! read more

Ordered pickup today for lunch with my son. They have a nice setup with easy online ordering and having my order waiting for me at a table at the front door. I ordered the haka lo mein with pork ($12), Szechaun Chicken $(14) and chicken wings with orange glaze ($8). A little pricey I think compared to other locations nearby but I also think the food is better here and consistent too which is important. The lo mein was fantastic and the Szechaun chicken was tender and tasty. The chicken wings were OK but I would prefer them without the orange glaze. read more

My parents and I tried Teng's for the first time, and had a very lovely experience. To start, their website is very user friendly which made ordering seamless. Delivery was prompt, whoever we spoke with on the phone was friendly, unhurried, and professional. The delivery was without hitch. The receipt was emailed to me with everything itemized and in English which I appreciated since we ordered a lot and wanted to decipher what was what. Onto the food itself. Their menu is plentiful and offers Chinese, Thai, and Indian options. We ordered mostly Chinese dishes, though as we are huge fans of Indian food, we tried their paneer (Chinese style with Indian flavors). We had never tasted Indian food prepared outside of Indian restaurants, and were a bit skeptical, but we were not disappointed. While it was different from an Indian kitchen, it was very enjoyable and complemented rather than clashed with our other dishes. That being said, we enjoyed all of our dishes very much. It was appreciated that their online ordering mandates you choose your rice or opt out which is wonderful because we always feel bad about wasted rice when there is too much. Everything was packaged well, no leakage. No wasteful heaps of sauces, just a few different samples of spicy/savory sauces and fortune cookies and a conveniently included takeout menu. It was just a pleasure that from start to finish, everything was easy and satisfying. We are definitely repeat customers. Highly recommended. Can't wait to have another Christmas feast from here. The Hakka chili chicken here is great and so the wonton soup. Only issue is the Shrimp. Let's just say hard pass. We order a ton of Delivery from here and it's an office favorite. Also amazing cold noodles for an app. Went to eat in once and they are very friendly. Just don't get shrimp. read more

This place is a hidden gem, I found it on a deep dive of yelp looking for a new Chinese food place on a rainy day and drove about 25 minutes just to try some of the Hakka hot garlic chicken. We also picked up some Manchurian chicken, chicken pakora, Szechwan dumplings and the Hakka lo mein - everything was delicious and so flavorful, the Manchurian chicken is my new favorite. We placed our order online (there was a coupon code available) and the website was fantastic and easy to use. Upon pickup the staff was extremely friendly, the place was neat and clean, and payment with a card was easy. It's a bit of a drive for me but I'll be visiting this place regularly, this is not your run of the mill Chinese food. read more

One of the best Hakka Chinese food places in Long Island. Our family loved the flavor and quality of their food. Hakka Chili chicken and Manchurian Chicken are authentic and flavorful. My kids loved their House special noodles. The prices are just average for the location. The owner are always hospitable and modest. My mom and I came in today after seeing the show featured on channel 1 fios restaurant hunters. We ordered three things to take home and impressed is an understatement. While the restaurant is small it is spotless! We were greeted and taken care of by the owner who was the sweetest man. He told us that everything can be made exactly how we like it. Was hoping for a nice sit down dinner with my kids. The food was average (think typical Chinese take-out), the portions good, but the prices were ridiculous for what you get. All the food was served on styrofoam plates with plastic forks. The place was clean and the family that runs it were very friendly but for 3 entrees, one appetizer, 3 sodas to cost over $80 for what should have been $30 worth of take-out, it is not a good value. read more

This is more of a take out restaurant. I was looking forward to table service. I was educated on the meaning of Hakka... I ordered a lunch special and it was served with plastic folk and in plastic containers. The Bottle water was $ 1.50 ,Hakka chicken and rice with a side of green salad $8.00- Fine! after communicating about the amount of heat in the meal I found it to be much to hot for me,the rice was bland. I am not a big fan of cilantro for myself it taste like soap. My first taste was a strong mouthful of cilantro. The owners were pleasant,however the inexperience in communication was showing up. The good news once my body got use to the heat the chicken was perfectly cooked,Every morsel was tender. I don't see myself going back.However if you like hot spicy with an excellent chef . Give a try. I think once all the little kinks are removed like not listing cilantro this take out maybe for you. Hakka as explained, a fusion of Indian & Chinese. read more

Second time ordering and the food is so good. It's so hard to find a good Chinese take out. I'm so glad that there is one in the neighborhood. It is a little pricey but worth it for the quality. The owner is so nice and friendly. The food was waiting for me as I walked in. The online ordering is very easy. Right now he has a coupon for free Hakka Chili chicken. I asked about it and he had me wait so he could give me some. I really hope this place stays around. read more

Was happy to see a Hakka restaurant open near work. Ordered lunch takeout delivery. Not bad at all. Delivery was on point! Will order here again to try other items. Had the Hakka Chicken and loved it! It was moist and the had the perfect amount of spiciness, then again, its a native food for me. Friend had the double cooked pork and she enjoyed it. No complaints. The hot and sour soup was good and more decked out than typical take out places. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Mike T.

Introducing Executive Chef Mike Teng, brings his family's traditional Hakka Indian-Chinese Cuisine to Levittown New York. Specialty dishes such as Hakka Chili Chicken, Hakka Fried Rice and Pan fried chicken Mo Mo (dumplings). The Hakka (客家),sometimes Hakka Han, are Han Chinese people whose ancestral homes are chiefly in the Hakka-speaking provincial areas of Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Sichuan, Hunan, Zhejiang, Hainan and Guizhou. The Chinese characters for Hakka(客家) literally mean "guest families" Meet the Chef: The Executive Chef/ owner of Teng's Restaurant is Mike Teng, who is a Hakka/Indian Expat who has worked in the restaurant industry since he arrived on American soil in 1984. The Chicken Satay came out perfectly grilled with beautiful char marks. The chicken was juicy and marinated well, and the peanut sauce on the side was creamy, nutty, and addictive. Finally, the Basil Chicken delivered that classic Thai street-food flavor. Plenty of fragrant holy basil, lots of garlic, and just the right amount of chili heat. The chicken was tender with great texture, and it paired amazingly with jasmine rice. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portions were very generous too -- we had plenty of leftovers for the next day. As my son would say "10 out of 10!" but since we are on yelp, we'll have to settle with a 5. I did like how the chilis and noodles were separated from the soup so the noodles weren't saturated and you can control the spice level. We also got Pad woon sen and the crab fried rice. The pad woon sen had a good ratio of chicken, veggies and noodles. Our favorite though was the crab fried rice. It was nice and fluffy, lots of fresh crab meat and very tasty. I would definitely order the fried rice again. Next time maybe I'll try dining in as their interior look nicely decorated.

I was amazed by the beautiful remodeling they did. I asked the staff member how long it's been and she said since November 4th. The inside and seating is now modern, warm, and bright. My order was ready for pickup and was placed behind the bar area. The Pad Thai was in an aluminum tray and covered with aluminum. The bean sprouts, lime wedges, and ground peanuts were packaged separately so it allows customers to put how much or how little they wanted.
