Went here for lunch on Grand Prix Friday. 04.17.2026 I was surprised how fast we were able to get seated! Greeted and seated. Chips and Salsa were served. It was busy because of the large crowds. We waited for our waiter to come back so we can order some drinks. Once he came back we ordered our drinks which we waited another good 15 minutes for him to return with our drinks. The time line was too long of a wait. He left again, waited another 15 minutes to take our food order. Lol. Ordered my shrimp cocktail along with other entrees. Our waiter was ghosting us every 15 minutes. Overall, the ambiance was busy. It is expected because of the grandprix event. This place needs to up their staffing when events like this is taking place. Food was good but service was dissapointing.

On this busy Friday night when we arrived we were seated right away. Our table was along the edge of the walking path with a picture perfect view of the marina. The staff was friendly and attentive. The drinks we ordered arrived ice cold and delicious. The food was cooked to perfection. For an authentic meal, this place is definitely worth trying. They offer indoor and outdoor patio seating that can accommodate small to large groups. Give them a try.

The service was friendly as always and the food was delicious. I'm glad that this place has stayed consistently good. Food came out hot and everything had lots of flavor. The cilantro lime salad had jumbo shrimp. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes.

The service was good, it was pretty empty but at first it seems like you're going to get good Mexican food with some good margaritas or cocktails. It was very plain flavor food. Even the guacamole has no lemon, spices, or salt. The chips were crunchy and good but had no salsa that went well with it. The resturant might need new recipes or a new chef. No cocktails and margaritas could be better

Happy hour prices + view of the marina are fantastic. We've only gone during happy hour because we just love the outdoor patio & the prices. No wait at 5pm on a Thursday. Patio: covered on top with heaters. They pull down additional side covers along the patio when it's super windy, so sitting outside is still very comfortable no matter the weather. Inside: dim and moody lighting. Food: 4 fish tacos, chips/salsa (so fresh & crispy), taquitos, pulled pork sliders (skip), michelada and marg for $40. Service: good. Food comes out fast. Definitely recommend for casual fare with great views!

We've been here a few times but the quality keeps dropping. People are nice but the food was not /: the chicken quesadilla lacked flavor

Came on LB grand prix weekend and it was surprisingly not too busy. No wait to be seated and food came out in a good amount of time. Our service was friendly and attentive. Guacamole was delicious I definitely recommend, as well as their shrimp tacos. Outdoor (patio) and indoor seating was available, and place looked clean. Perfect sport for a casual dinner or lunch for some good food!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, with plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks and dishes. It leans heavily toward Mexican food but also includes some American options like burgers and buffalo wings. I ordered a combination plate, which comes with 2-3 items of your choice, rice and beans, and Mexican corn pudding. I chose the pork tamales and taquitos. The pork tamales were pretty good, but the taquitos were bland and I didn't end up finishing them. The sides were decent overall, and the Mexican corn pudding was my favorite part of the meal. We also got unlimited chips and dip, which was a nice bonus. For drinks, I ordered the "Scooby Snack," a cocktail made with rum, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and whipped cream. It came in a huge cup and was a great value for the price. It tasted good too. Overall, it's a solid spot for food and drinks, and they even offer happy hour, which makes it worth checking out.

Tequila Jacks is a lovely place to go for lunch or dinner. Just being located at Shoreline Village in Long Beach is a plus. Indoor or outdoor dining is great. The food is good and plentiful. I couldn't believe how much chicken was in my enchilada, tamale and taco. The ambiance is great and the customer service is great. There is plenty of parking available. Enjoy shopping at the specialty shops after your good meal.

This is somewhat a staples here in Shoreline Village. The very first time I've been was only by default. We were next door for happy hour which the wait time was extortionate and decided about this place. Fast forward many many years later and here we are. Shoreline village is a cute little waterfront that offers some dining options, loads of tourist traps with the shops and a just a cute overall little waterfront. Happy hour was happening and we didn't, well couldn't decided on where we wanted to go. Started off with looking at the menus at what places were offering them and then we ended up back here. Selling point, the nice waterfront seating that looks out to the marina. It was noted to check in at the front desk since we walked in from the back but was told to have a seat anywhere we like. Majority of everyone was on the patio enjoying the sun. We got a couple seating along the hi top looking out to the marina. Menus was brought out first but did notice chips and salsas were brought out as well. It did take a while for ours to arrive. Let me say, the salsa was nice with that little kick to each bite. And it was bottomless which is also a plus. You don't get that at most places nowadays. It did take a little while to order as it seemed like the waiter was taking everyone's orders both at the bar section and patio. We only wanted a drink and maybe some small bites. For the price, it was good. House margaritas on the rocks was 8.00. Pre mixed already but it was quite nice. Food wise, the taquitos (3) with guacamole and some chicken strips. Lol, totally not your mix with margaritas but it sounded good...lol... Bar food bites with our drink. Taquitos, they were a bit too hard. Had to take it apart to enjoy it. The beef was tasty at least and perfect with the salsas. Chicken strips, basic so you can't go wrong. Unless you can and it's a total mess on your part for ordering it. We did want another drink which took a very long time to come. Seemed like the waiter forgot as he was now making drinks behind the bar. After waiting and seeing other people get their drinks before us, I had to walk up to the counter to remind him again. It was nice along the patio seating but they did come to drop the curtains which the whole point was enjoying the sun and the view. Didn't ask if we wanted it drop or not but instead just did it. Had to asked them if they could raise it a little so we can still see out. The drinks were nice. Food was somewhat whatever for 6.00 an item, can't beat that. I believe there were about 6/7 items for bites. Overalls, drinks and the ambiance was nice. People watching was great as your literally along the boardwalk. Service, it was hectic during happy hours. Nice at the start when we walked in but hectic toward the end. I don't think I've ever had a meal here besides a quick stop for happy hour which has alway been good. Tip, make sure to validate as it's 2 hr free parking. We forgot and just thought it was automatic 2 hrs free which came up to 10.00 for parking when we left. That was just a little past the free 2 hrs.

I'm sorry to give a poor review because tequila Jack's has often been a nice standby when I am in Long Beach. The location is excellent as it is right on Shoreline Drive in the middle of the village. You can sit outside and have a view of the water, which is always delightful. I believe most people come here because of the location and not necessarily the food and drinks. But I make it a habit to go on Tuesdays because they have an excellent deal on taco Tuesdays. Tacos are only $1.50, an excellent deal. In the past, I have had delicious vegetarian tacos. I was a little disappointed when I saw that those were no longer on the menu. I ordered the fish tacos, and I must say I was disappointed. The quality seemed to be much worse than what I remembered in the past. You might be thinking that should be expected for the price and you might be right. The service was very poor. I could never find my server and after an extended period of trying to catch anyone's eye, I chose to walk up to the hostess and ask them to send over my server. In fairness to them, it was an extremely busy evening . It was taco Tuesday after all. But I do not think I will be returning anytime soon after my experience yesterday.

It had no idea how good this place was. We had stopped here after whale watching with a large group of friends. We were surprised when someone sent over guacamole and queso to our table which was amazing. We were there for happy hour and the margaritas were reasonable and tasty. We ordered and array of food Nachos, tacos and burritos. We left full and satisfied. If you're ever in the area you should stop over for happy hour and you won't be disappointed.

I haven't ever been to the area. So I checked out reviews for the restaurants. I narrowed it down to the fancy seafood restaurant, Yard House or TJ's. Walking by Tequila Jack's, the outdoor space looked great and the menu pricing wasn't bad either. The service was great. Our server was attentive without being overwhelming. Drinks & chips stayed full. Wait time for our entrees weren't bad either. The food tasted amazing! Based on reviews I thought it could be hit or miss. But we all enjoyed our meals. Husband got the carnitas plate. He really liked it. MIL got the chili verde. She commented on the house made tortillas several times. I got the 2 enchilada plate - Rojo cheese & verde chicken. Both tasted so good! One kid got the asada burrito and actually at 2/3rds of it. The other kid got to kids chicken tenders plate. It was a lot of food: 2-3 chicken strips, fries, 2 pieces of cantaloupe, and a small churro. The chips were delicious! The salsa had. Ore of a kick than I thought it would going off of looks. The guac is delicious was well. The added veg made it super fresh. It was all very good. I would definitely go back.

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. (Also really good N/A cocktails!) The menu is super inventive and creative! And the cocktail menu changes out every so often so there are new things to try. It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

It is dimly lit with a ton of cave wall, bamboo, thatch, netting, tiki lights, floats, skulls, tikis, and other décor. The bar is loaded with bottles and looks great with dark blue and green backlighting. The bar top is wood with deep cutouts that are filled with clear epoxy. The shrimp were breaded and cooked well, and had a coconut sprinkle on top. The spicy dipping sauce complemented the shrimp well. I started out with the Drunken Monkey (Makers Mark 46, Jamaican rum, banana liqueur, cinnamon, allspice, Angostura bitters, normally $19, $17 during happy hour). It was somewhat bourbon forward with a little funk from the Jamaican rum. I definitely got the cinnamon notes with a little banana and allspice in the background. She started out with the El Capitan Hook (Del Maguey mezcal, pineapple, banana liqueur, Luxardo cherry liqueur, lime, $17, $15 during happy hour). This was smoke forward with light pineapple and banana flavor. I had the Hula burger ($18) which was very good with a lot of different flavors from the various toppings. It came with a decent amount of fries, and was a filling plate. She had the pineapple bowl fried rice and added with BBQ pork ($17 + $5 for pork add-on). It is served in half of a scooped out pineapple and had a good amount of rice with pork and green onions on top. It had a good mix of teriyaki sauce on the rice and BBQ sauce on the pork. Next, I had the Rum Runner (coconut and blended dark rums, banana liqueur, raspberry, grenadine, pineapple, orange, lime, $18, $15 during happy hour). It was very pineapple and coconut forward which overpowered all of the other ingredients. She also had the Let That ManGo (white rhum agricole, coconut, mango, lemon, $18, $16 during happy hour). The primary flavors here were mango with some grassiness from the agricole. We were here from about 6pm to 8pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty dead with only a few other people in the place the whole time. They do have a stage in the back with live music acts, so it is probably busier when there is entertainment and on weekends. Our first bartender was Alex who was nice but we barely talked with him. Manager Pedro took over the bartender duties later on and we had a great time chatting with him. Service was great from both of them. The drinks are a few dollars above average, but if you come during happy hour, the drinks are several dollars off. Happy hour is currently all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. The food was good, the drinks were ok to good, and the atmosphere was great. Normally, this would probably be a one and done, but I really liked the build and would like to come back when it is busier, maybe on a weekend.

In my opinion the pike is really dying out, while this is a specialty bar / tiki bar it was sooo empty. The inside is lovely upon entering and could be a very fun birthday experience or bar experience. The bartender her tonight was not kind at all. My girlfriend and I came in excited, however we were not greeted. Honestly, at first we asked if it was open (looked really dead inside.. like really really empty). He had a snarky comment and we had to stop and glance at each other. The look of "do we leave?". We sat at the bar top, he tossed over some menus, took our order and was really not happiest. It ruined our mood, and our intention was to stay and enjoy a drink or some food. However the atmosphere wasn't welcoming, almost uncomfortable. We only stayed for one drink, and they're all $20 each. Trying to cocktails was nice. I definitely recommend heading to the other tiki bar in Long Beach - better crowd - better service - welcoming. I won't be back nor bringing a friend here unfortunately.

During one drinking session, I think I heard Sonic Reducer three times; that adds an extra star. Before we get off track, let's get back to my opening line; when my life is in shambles, I come to V Room. It's fun, it has great music and things just don't feel as bad here. My last venture to ye olde V, my roommate broke up a fight in the girls room, my friends and I drunkenly sang along to Iggy Pop, and a hipster girl was hoisted out by the straps of her 90s era child's backpack. So, all things considered, my life may be in shambles, but at least I'm not brawling in the girls room. The drinks rule and the bartenders are the BEST.

Acts as if you're the issue for coming to have a drink at "A BAR" . Eye rolls whenever anything was asked for. Went to pay & when the " tip" wasn't up to her par , she made the comment under her breath " why even **** come out cheap f**k?" Why even be a bartender if you're not going to provide a service. You don't get a tip for being terrible at your job. That's not how this works. Management will probably read this & brush it off because she'll have a lame excuse like we were the problem or needy. Nope. She is the problem. Even the regulars mentioned they can't stand when she bartends because her attitude is so terrible. Fix your system please. Get better people.

Our service was very slow and the drinks took a very long time to come out. We were some of the only people in the restaurant, so I can't blame it on being very busy. My girlfriend ordered a mojito and it tasted more like a margarita than anything. Our appetizer was okay but for the price you pay you don't get much. My burrito was decent, nothing to write home about. But you could definitely get a better one in Long Beach for $5 cheaper. My girlfriend ordered a salmon special which was about $30. I've never had a more overcooked piece of fish in my life. When the server asked how our food was I informed her the food was extremely overcooked. She didn't seem to care and there was no offer to find some kind of solution. I wasn't expecting a comped dish or anything special, but a little acknowledgement would have been appreciated. I wouldn't reccomend this place but if you're going to the club there and want food I guess this could be a decent option.

I got the Backyard BBQ burger with tater tots and the Bacon Bleu burger with fries.  Backyard BBQ burger - the onion rings at Sideburns are some of the best in the game, so this was obviously stellar. An indulgent bite and they don't skimp on the bacon or onion rings either. Bacon Bleu burger - this was loaded with bleu cheese! I thought it was awesome, but my friends definitely thought it was a little too much to handle. Definitely order if you love bleu cheese. It was perfectly balanced by the sweet strawberry jam and peppery arugula. If you're looking to cure your hangover before it even starts, head to the Stache. The vibe is chill, with good bartenders and a good movie playing on the projector every night. Food is awesome and served late, which we all know is a rarity around here.
