I've been a long time customer before their relocation and they never seem to disappoint Today I got the Tofu Yakisoba - well fried tofu, served to the brim, not greasy/heavy, crunchy veggies - a must if you want something well rounded for an easy meal on the stomach. Chicken and Beef - Chicken was well seasoned and soft in every bite : everything you would want in a chicken. I didn't try the beef because my dad ended up eating it all // for a picky eater I would say it's a full pass. Please support this lovely space and restaurant. Niece left crying... you might too I seriously can't make this shit up. I've worked in multiple restaurants so I understand how restaurants should operate, and how to treat your customers (nicely and patiently). This place blew my mind, It's as if they were screaming "you're an inconvenience" and "gtfo" at the same time because we came IN the restaurant to eat. The menu is covered in duct tape with the food their out of. When looking at the menu we were rushed to pick something. When we picked some thing we were told they didn't have it. My dad was made fun of for saying "prawns" not "shrimp" when "prawns" was on the menu. #pettyAF We had 6 people coming and my dad started to move the tables and was told no, so we sat knee to knee practically crawling over each other while there was 4 other open tables and no other customers. We ordered our food all together and had to wait 15 minutes for a dish after the others were on the table. The food was good but everything else wasn't. The cherry on top of this shit show was that my 3 year old niece really wanted a sucker for $.25 they sell. No one had a quarter so we asked if they could make change for a $20, without looking in the drawer he said no. I asked if I could pay with a card he said no. I can't win with this man. So after coming close to smashing my head into the wall, in an attempt to buy my niece a sucker, I gave up and decided to leave. I told my niece that no she could have a sucker that are normally free because we didn't have a quarter. Literally taking candy from a baby. I've been going here for probably 20 years. Yes it's changed ownership but the teriyaki is solid. People on here complaining about the price are probably going to tell you about how they used to goto the movies for a quarter and the popcorn and soda was a nickel. Look across the street and you will see some of the most expensive gas in the state. Some other nearby teriyaki spots are maybe 1-2 dollars cheaper on each entree but, they are not as consistent on quality. I call in and pick up probably anywhere from 2-12 times a month. Foods always the same quality. while trying to figure out my goto order I tried all sorts of different combos. Landed on combo chicken&beef yakisoba extra chicken extra beef. Never had a negative experience here except one time they mixed up my order but, I ended up really liking the general tso and spicy chicken combo I got. Such a good place in the neighborhood - every time we don't know what to eat, or DoorDash is taking too long, or I don't feel like cooking - I think of this place. Everything is fresh and delicious. The other teriyaki spot that was by here is not a place I would ever go back to because of the gloopy teriyaki and low chicken quality - however this place surpassed expectations with a delicious teriyaki sauce, fresh salad, hot steaming rice and a crunchy crisp egg roll. I love any excuse to stop in and order my 2 favorite entrees: #4 Chicken Breast teriyaki or the Tofu yakisoba. Yum!! I definitely recommend the chicken breast over the regular chicken entree, the #1 must use thigh meat which is not good. it's quick, cheap, and consistent, you always get exactly the same quality meal with generous portions, always enough to fill you up and have leftovers for the next day. The sauce is delicious. I do not typically like teriyaki places because I'm not a fan of soy sauce or charred-grilled meat, but this place is by far the only exception! The guy that runs the place is very friendly and works very hard. We generally always order to-go, and we've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our food to be ready. read more

I was doing some contract work nearby and this was pretty much one of my only options past a sammie, salad or soup. Teriyaki sounded good so I figured this way the way to go. Sadly, I was wrong. Why? Well, to start, the food wasn't that great. I ordered the gyoza and teriyaki chicken combo and wasn't as pleased as I'd like to be with the flavor for over 8bucks. The sauce was too sweet, so I asked for a hot sauce rather than sriiracha ( don't dig it much with teriyaki) and the worker blatantly heard me, and then ignored my request. The woman next to me, who is an obvious regular, heard my request for a different hot sauce and then asked for some herself. The worker then had the audacity to give her some and look at me like I didn't previously ask for some. When the lady left, the worker told her other worker " she's very rich." Does this mean I don't get hot sauce because I look poor? If you wanted me to pay for a container well then, geez...... I would have but the treatment was just rude. If the food were better, despite this bad customer service experience, I would come back if I were in the area. If you want decent teriyaki then you probably won't be majorly let down by the food. I ordered over the phone and loved the sing-songy voice of the woman who answered. I smiled and looked forward to my lunch. I was disappointed, however, when I took my first bite. My spicy white meat teriyaki chicken was tough and overcooked. The sauce had a decent flavor and decent amount of heat to it but the tough and sometimes inedible meat ruined that. The lettuce in the salad was distinctly brown and I didn't venture to try that. On the whole a functional way of getting protein into my body, but little more. We were looking for a new teriyaki take-out place near our house and with overall positive reviews gave this place a try last night. I found their prices to be a little high - maybe a dollar more than normal but figured they are factoring in their swanky location near the Madison Valley and knowing well their local clientele. However for me you have to at least be 5-star satisfied with the food to get away with past just one visit. I ordered the Chicken Saute after peaking at a photo and asking if it was just chicken and veggies - no mention that it would of course be served on a bed of rice that mostly took up the entire bottom third of the to-go container. The classic, cheap filler. Where was the chicken? I was so disappointed to open up the container and find practically RAW broccoli, onions, and cabbage and probably a half-portion of chicken pieces if I were to dig around and lump them into a small pile. There was no seasoning other than a very, very small container of what I guess was their teriyaki sauce. I had to add my own additional flavors (some soy and hot sauce) and put the veggies in the microwave to cook them! These guys are obviously on a tight budget but it is not my prerogative to subsidize their business. I was more hopeful given the good reviews but this place has failed to earn a repeat customer which is too bad as it seemed family run and owned and was convenient to my house. I hope it was worth ripping me off for $9 plus tax plus the dollar tip I through in the jar as I will not be back again - also thought it ironic that it took a while to get the food but thought it a good sign they were making it fresh (they were) and cooking through the veg (not so much). read more

The worst tofu teriyaki I've had by far. They just sliced a block of tofu, lightly fried it, and then lightly drizzled a diluted sauce over it that I assume was teriyaki. It was bland and not enjoyable. The iceberg lettuce side salad was damp and unappetizing. When I ordered, I had delicious panko breaded tofu pieces in mind, but was disappointed. I also ordered a side of vegetable eggrolls which cost almost $5; they brought out two skinny little rolls that were somewhat bitter and also not good. I paid $17 total so to say this place is overpriced is an understatement. I won't be returning. read more
