Fried chicken, fried rice, and 6 piece shrimp.
    Lannce C.

Ordered the crispy fried chicken, fried rice,6 piece shrimp, and a milk tea with boba. Came to around $30. Food is pretty solid if you want something quick. Place is still pretty new so the ambiance is not quite there in my opinion, but it was clean. Service was really nice.

The place is brand spanking new! It was so clean and the staff was so friendly. The food takes awhile to make which is totally fine and that how you know it's gonna be good. They had so many options and lots of different drinks to choose from. The prices are quite high but as they say you get what you pay for.

All this for $20 what a bargain enough for 2 days really good!

New place and lived the fact they are local and according to the signs most of all the stuff comes local as well. Inside nicely remodeled spot in an older shopping center in Clovis. It was very clean and while simple and modern vibe. Service was excellent and the employee working the counter was super friendly and answered all my questions. I am picky about my Teriyaki and this spot hit! Got a combo with Teriyaki chicken, pot stickers and salad all for around $20. The option is pretty big and will be lunch tomorrow. All in all great new spot and I hope anyone reading this gives them a try.

Definitely recommend the fried rice upgrade. Buttery and flavorful. Beef teriyaki was my favorite between that and the chicken teriyaki but both were still good. Wife enjoyed her tofu teriyaki as well. Good service as well.

Crispy friend chicken , white rice, potstickers , salad dressing , spicy mayo, and teriyaki sauce (I think) with a diet soda .

Yes , the air conditioning wasn't functioning, but I came here to eat! Crispy fried chicken was perfect - juicy and crisp. Lots of pieces of chicken . White rice was as expected so no big surprise. The potstickers were perfect . Side salad was a nice touch . I opted for a side of spicy mayo . $20 even combo with extra spicy mayo. Only downside - no foundation drinks but they offer water . Clean place and very friendly staff . They bag your food regardless of dine in or take out. As a semi-fat guy, I was quickly stuffed and had some leftovers .

Wonderful food, better service, environment is beautiful. Freshly renovated. Food was really good fried perfectly and super fresh. Rice was so fluffy and soft, potstickers were amazing and my favorite was the fried chicken. Super wallet friendly and would come again. Feels like family when you walk inside

Great food and service! We miss the banh mi sandwiches but enjoyed the new menu items -noodles with fried chicken, teriyaki chicken and popcorn chicken. We will be back.

Delicious dinner. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with the garden green. The dressing was perfect. Delicious & light.

    Left overs for the son!

OH MY! Excellent teriaki in Clovis!!! Got the Chicken Teriaki, Katsu Chicken- sauce on the side, and order of potstickers. One was as good as the others. My experience at other teriaki places is the lack of grill marks(grill or flat top) which leads to lack of flavor. Not so at Teriaki Time. Every piece was perfectly grilled but somehow stayed moist. Sauce drizzle was minimal but adequate. The Katsu was excellent both sauce free and dipped in its sauce. Potstickers were on the small side but packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Careful eating them, I may have dripped down the front of my shirt sneaking one in the car. Prices are reasonable(especially RN) and portion are beyond generous. The bag with 2 meals and potstickers was hefty. The only thing I miss is a macaroni salad and tempura vegetables. YES, I know its not Hawaiian food but is was just as good as any road side teriaki truck in Hawaii.

$21 and got less then what they give at panda, and also took longer. Definetly wouldn't recommend.

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

Good amount of tables and seats. Simple, minimal decor and it was clean, from what I can remember. He got the Shoyu Ramen (#2) and I got the Spicy Miso Ramen (#4). We both agreed the broth wasn't as hot as we'd like and could use just a touch more flavor. Both were okay, but I preferred my broth more. I wish I paid attention to the fact that mine came with THIN noods though... I feel like I would've enjoyed my dish way more with thick noodles. To be honest, I should have done the build-your-own Ramen and selected everything I wanted myself... now I know. You live and you learn. The Wontons were good but we didn't eat much of it, as it came out the same time as the ramen. Once the ramen was served, our main focus was on that and that filled us up! Packed the rest to go. For this being our first time, it wasn't bad but it didn't wow us. If I'm being honest, so far-- the best Ramen we've ever had was in a small little shop we found while in Thailand back in March (yup, Thailand!). Unfair to this rating maybe? But-- every ramen I try will be compared to that now (sorry, it was THAT good). Until next time, which there will be a next time (just unsure how soon that will be)... they get a middle placement.

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of having Donavin as our server even though our observation is that all the young people serving are helpful and gracious . We've been to Shobu twice now, and it's quickly become one of our favorite Japanese restaurants…read more What I love most is the variety on the menu. Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.

The moment we walked in and sat down to our table, we did't feel welcomed. Our server was very short with us and seemed annoyed. Initially, they were pushy on having us order assuming we have been there before. It was our first time and we didn't even get a chance to look at the menu yet as we just sat down. Throughout the service, our server never offered us water or came to check up on us. It was an off vibe like they were having a bad day and it resonated to us. The food was a big letdown. We ordered the agedashi tofu, earthquake roll, big boy, fireball roll, and a sashimi appetizer. Each item we ordered had an issue. The agedashi tofu was super bland and the broth didn't pair well with it. I've had this dish several times at other locations and this wasn't up to par. The rolls were drowning in sauce and ruined their texture. The rice was also overcooked and very soggy. Soggy rice drowning in sauce is not a good combination. Lastly, the sashimi appetizer was served lukewarm. Each piece of fish had a mushy texture instead of being firm, and it didn't taste fresh. Perhaps serving them on top of ice to keep it cold would help. Plus, the miso soup was very salty. Overall, it was a very disappointing first visit, and unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.
