I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki. I have a high tolerance for spicy. It had some kick, but I still had to add more spice with Sriracha. The chicken was tasty though, and the rice wasn't dry or over cooked. It was the perfect dinner that I was craving, especially since I didn't feel like cooking. Great potion size and reasonable price. Definitely better than teriyaki chicken that I've had at a spot closer to my house. I'll be back for sure! read more

Talk about BLAH teriyaki. Blandest of bland!! Granted it was cheap, but you get what you pay for right! There was a tiny drizzle of the sauce on the teriyaki....why scrimp on the sauce?? The sauce is what makes it teriyaki. My lunch today wasn't teriyaki, it was plain chicken and rice. Sure you can pay more to get a side of sauce, but if you're anything like me, you don't carry cash, and I kinda doubt they will run your card for a quarter. I've been going here for awhile and have to say it's pretty good had their combos and fried rice and all have been very good with large portions. I have yet to try their yakisoba which looks really good as well. You won't go wrong with this place it'll satisfy your taste buds if your looking for a good teriyaki place. read more

This place is great for anyone in the neighborhood. We've been here several times now, and the combination of low price, big portions (I'm not sure how they make a profit considering how much is on a plate), and good, tasty food is a winner if there ever was one. Specifically - their chicken teriyaki is great, both dark and light meat. I found it better than the beef. Whatever sauce they are using is really nice, good flavor with a touch of sweetness. Also worth noting are the gyoza which have just the right amount of crispness and taste wonderful, and the tempura. A big, heaping pile of vegetables and shrimp? Sold! Twice! I'm a sucker for tempura and they deliver. And seriously, the size of what you get? Ridiculous. All the teriyaki dishes come with two big heaps of white rice (nothing special, but decent) and a salad as well as a gigantic mound of your meat-of-choice. "Too much food" and "this cost me $6" don't usually go together, but they do here. If you live near here or find yourself near here, Teriyaki Time is worth stopping in. I'm not sure it'd be worth a trip just for the purpose, but if you want teriyaki and are near the area, you won't be let down. There are some dine-in tables, but don't expect fine dining ambiance. It's well lit and clean though, so it's not a bad place to sit down and dig in if you'd prefer not to get take out. read more

These guys have a monster Super Bento that is very good. It ended up being dinner and lunch the next day. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The restaurant is clean and not too big. I arrived about 3:00 in the afternoon and there was one customer at a table, and me. I took that as a sign of the food served. I ordered the Super Bento and it in included various tempura, teriyaki, sushi, and a salad. It was a great choice. Delicious. Will stop by this place again in the future. read more

They have great fishatarian teriyaki (my favorites are their salmon teriyaki or tofu teriyaki). Their California rolls are nice and large but otherwise unexceptiona, and the miso soup is excellent. The service is wonderful! I used to go here a lot when I lived nearby - I find myself craving the salad dressing pretty regularly. You can actually buy a squeeze bottle of any of the sauces if you ask nicely. It's clean and somewhat spare inside. The tables have a lot of condiments on them for experimentation. Known for their wide selection of various teriyaki dishes and mixed influences of Korean and Japanese cuisine, this is yet another hidden gem found within Northgate Seattle. They also offer other dishes such as a variety of yakisoba (beef, chicken, shrimp, and tofu to name a few), katsu dishes (breaded and deep fried dish topped with tonkatsu sauce), and fried rice. If you come in and aren't in the mood for a heavy dish, well Teriyaki Time also serves sushi and veggie stir fry. As common as Asian cuisine can be, for those who havn't experienced Asian cuisine and are looking for a unique place to try it, and you just happen to be around north Seattle....Teriyaki Place might just be your go-to spot for a good Asian experience. Not bad. This is your standard teriyaki plate place. Looks like it is korean-owned judging from the what is offered on the menu. They have a few different combo options for their chicken, beef, shortrib teriyaki plates. They also offer udon or ramen noodle soup and gyoza side dishes. I was there to order a take out plate of the beef and katsu combo, but the interior is also a nice little place to eat in. I have seriously, seriously been eating a lot of Teriyaki lately. The proximity of this location to my place of employment is within blocks, and they have a big sign advertising a 4.99 lunch special. I had a craving for chicken, sosueme. I ordered a spicy chicken teri with no rice and double salad, which I thankfully was not charged extra for. The shop was busy, and they offer a wide variety of offerings, they also make sushi rolls and offer a couple korean specialties and of course, sides of kimchee. I saw an order of yakisoba sizzling on a hot iron plate coming out of the kitchen, it looked really good, unfortunately I cannot eat noodles on my diet. My food was an extremely large portion of spicy chicken and salad for 6.99 and tax. The food was standard, i've had much better teriyaki but it isn't terrible and it is edible. This place is a lifesaver! Whenever my wife and I don't feel like cooking, and don't want to spend a fortune on dinner, we'll hit up Teriyaki Time. The owners always greet us with a smile and their teriyaki is always fast and good. I've found many teriyaki places in Seattle taste pretty much all the same but I'd say that Teriyaki Time is just a bit better than the rest. My parents love this place but the stuff I've eaten there has been okay to nearly inedible, in my opinion. The teriyaki eel is pretty nasty but the California rolls are pretty good, mostly in terms of freshness. Salad is average for teriyaki takeout, and the soup I've had there is disappointing. It's difficult to order over the phone because the staff has such poor English skills. This is a quick teriyaki place, thus.. You should probably judge it as one. Service - 5/5 - Lady was very nice. My boyfriend, who takes FOREVER to pick chicken teriyaki... Took forever ... Gee. She was very patient, no tapping foot or rolling eyes. Brava teriyaki lady! You get a five star service rating for simply being patient and understanding. :) Food - 4/5 - Every teriyaki place has it's own specific food style, this one was plentiful and full of goodness. Although not MY favorite, I prefer heavily sauced and salty with lots of sauce. Did I mention sauce? This was one of those thin sauces, not overpowering, not overly sweet or salty. I know a lot of people prefer that. The meat was good, maybe slightly overcooked on my pork, but chicken was great. No qualms with the food other than it wasn't specifically my tastes - not bad! Ambiance/Extras - 5/5 - Very clean and nicely decorated with a "bamboo" feel. Parking was crazy, but I guess it was dinner time (not their fault). Nice deals for lunch, and extensive sushi menu. I love this place! They have the best Teriyaki Chicken I have ever had. I also love their egg rolls, and I thought their California Rolls were very good as well. The servings are big. If you order the Chicken Teriyaki you will have enough food for 2 meals. I also like the Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki. Yum! Their Teriyaki Sauce is great, too. The lady behind the counter always remembers that I like 2 packets of soy sauce with my takeout order, without my ever having to remind her. Always pleasant and courteous. I'm a sushi snob so I stuck to the grilled land food so can only speak to teriyaki offerings. I ordered the chicken breast and beef teriyaki combo and the hubby had chicken katsu. Both dishes were extremely flavorful! Teriyaki sauce is great - not overly sweet. Katsu breading was perfectly crispy and the katsu sauce was yum. I have been going to Teriyaki Time for quite a few years now and by far it is my favorite teriyaki spot. The prices are average for a teriyaki spot but the amount of food they give you is a lot I don't think or ever been able to eat the whole meal in one sitting I'm always left with leftovers. They must use about 2 chicken breasts per order and the chicken is really tender and low in fat. The family who owns it have known me for awhile and they are always very friendly. They have a lunch special which is cheaper but it comes with less food. I recommend chicken Katsu as well I like the breading they use its really crispy. I also recommend the spicy chicken it's spicy and once again the chicken is hearty and tender. Bottom line I can confidently say that this in my opinion is the eat teriyaki spot in the greater Seattle area! read more

I am glad this place is sixty blocks away because if it was walking distance it would be a serious threat to my waistline. Teriyaki, in general, is a huge weakness, and Teriyaki Time does it a well as pretty much anyone. The Spicy is spicy, the regular isn't too sweet, the sushi rolls are totally craving-crushing (for the price), and the rice and salad is what it needs to be.
