This review is for our tech Daniel Morris #58450. He was actually the 2nd tech to come out to our home and he was so much more better than the 1st tech. The 1st tech put a couple of rat traps in our attic space and seemed annoyed when my husband asked her to spray outside. Daniel was very friendly, patient and so thorough. He even checked our garage which the 1st tech didn't even bother to do. My husband didn't have to ask him to do anything, he just did everything automatically. Very happy with his services. daryl in discovery bay is very helpful with scheduling appointments and following up afterwards. His knowledge in teaching about pest control/mosquito control is also helpful because he explains what they do and how they do it. He checks with clients the day prior to appointment to make sure if a better time for them is needed and he tries to meet those needs. id prefer him to do all my scheduling than the actual people hired to do so as they have not been helpful at all. If anything they confuse appointments, do not have any knowledge about how it works and they don't seem to care about customers needs. I've had no good experience with them at all. One of the worst companies to deal with. Customer service sucks and once they have you hooked they make it really difficult to leave. Do not get duped by the "easy cancellation" sales pitch. They won't even let you cancel the service unless you call. No mailing address either. Billing is designed to make sure an entire year's worth of subscription is extracted in the first few months. So if you decide to cancel after "1st quarter" you would already have paid for the entire year. There's a class action lawsuit just waiting for this company. read more

1. LAZY WORKERS: Inspector (KEVIN) is lazy and discourages a face-to-face appointment, especially in the 5-7pm time slot his office booked for me. He called afternoon of appointment to see if I "really needed it", he claimed he was over-booked and was trying to prioritize his customers. EVERYONE who books an appointment for this needs it. This isn't a massage or spa treatment. The voicemail he left was ridiculously unprofessional and the details of the phone conversation are unbelievably unprofessional and not a representation of what I had experienced from Terminix in AZ. 2. UNTRUSTWORTHY: I had used Terminix in AZ on my home for termites and was thrilled with the quote, the work and follow-up. All around it was an experience worth repeating, which despite negative reviews here, figured the name brand of this company must have some consistency. I WAS WRONG- this is JUST AS HORRIBLE as everyone on YELP says! The guy told me he wanted details over the phone as to why I wanted the inspection and when I told him, "I have termites" he asked "what kind" and I told him. He cut right to the chase and said they will only TENT for those kinds. I called #800TERMINIX to confirm and they said, "No, we don't always tent, we need to see the extent of the issue first before we can determine it." 3. UNPROFESSIONAL: In addition to all the references of unprofessionalism mentioned above, I did try to call the corporate office to escalate my concerns and perhaps try to get another representative. After 10 minutes on hold for a local manager, I hung up. I shouldn't have to chase down a company just to get a solid quote and inspection. Terminix has the worst service. It is a terribly managed company. A Terminix associate (lady) came to our house saying that they had a client in our neighborhood. There would be a discounted price if we can do the service in the same day. My wife pointed to some tiny bugs outside our house, and asked if they could get ride of that. The lady said no problem, this was a common bugs the do all the time. My wife agreed to tried it once. The lady gave an appointment form and asked for a void check. My wife asked if this was a subscription or a one time service, because void check is typically for setting up recurring payment. The lady confirmed it was one time service, and the void check was for electronics processing. My wife gave her a void check. The next day, a service guy came, and he sprayed some liquid around our house. When we showed him the tiny bugs, he said those bugs used to live underground and this year it was too dry, so they came out, so they could not treat them. I said the lady said those bugs were treatable. He said the lady knew nothing. We thought we would talk to them any more. A few days later, we received a call from Terminix. saying we have a subscription of the monthly service. We told her that we don't want the monthly service. After that, we received several messages in our phone from Terminix asking for payment. We thought we cancelled the service already, so we didn't return the calls. Then once day we received a call from Terminix saying the the one-time service was not paid. I said we already gave a check before the service. The associate said she was with the collection department. She asked if our account number was xxxxxx. I told her that was wrong. She asked my account number, I said I already gave a check. You should find the check. She said they recorded my account number in the system (with was wrong), and they asked me to provide the account number. I told them they the check we gave was legitimate. If you keyed in with a mistake, you should find the check and re-enter it. She said they could not do that, they would keep calling me for the account number. I had a positive experience with Terminix in 2009 when we purchased our home. So we decided to go with Terminix again. Sales (Kevin) was responsive and came to inspect quickly. We had to postpone the treatment a couple of times but finally, the technician (Will) came this week and seemed to do a thorough job. He was pleasant and patient, explaining to me what he was doing and how it worked. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 as I believe the termite mitigation procedure when no bugs are present should be less costly than it is. read more

Really a pest control company??? I think NOT!!! I paid $1500 last week to have an exclusion service done on my house to help with a rat problem. I was told that I would end up with rats in the traps and dead rats....Now I have a ton of dead rats in my heater vent and terminex refuses to come and remove them. It is not there job I am told. My experience with this company has been the worst experience with any company ever. I started off with them in early August 2018 and here it is October 1, 2018 and they still haven't followed through on the service that we contracted for $1800 . I have called them at least 20 times and they never answer their phone. Kelvin Johnson was the man I was to coordinate with to get a technician here for the initial service (called 6 times). He never called or answered my calls and his tech missed appointments 3 times. When the initial service didn't cure the problem (bedbugs), I called to have them return for another treatment. I have called at least a dozen times and gotten no return calls. 3 treatment appointments were made and all were no-shows with no calls to tell me. I called the national office and no change. I asked that a regional supervisor call me. No call. I still have not received what they guaranteed me they would do. If there was zero stars I would give them that. I don't know how a company can stay in business like this. It wasn't one person. It was everyone I talked to that failed to follow through. I will never do business with them again and I advise everyone who reads this to stay away from them. read more

FIND SOMEONE ELSE for your pest control needs!!! I spent thousands of dollars for an exclusion service done in January 2020 and prepaid to extend my warranty for 4 additional years. The contract exclusion service was supposed to consist of trenching along the foundation and installing wire mesh in the crawlspace and sealing all potential points of entry. When you call for warranty service, they ALWAYS tell you if you don't hear back from someone in 48 hours, call back. Pretty much you NEVER hear back, so you have to call again. When you get an appointment, sometimes no one shows up and they tell you, you weren't on the schedule. It takes them about a week to come out if you get a real appointment. When they have come out lately they set a trap, but not necessarily in the area you hear the activity. They haven't been trying to find points of entry to seal it. They avoid going into the crawl space or attic. "Inspections consist of going to the attic or crawlspace hatch opening and shining a flashlight in and declaring "no problem". I called numerous times in the last month to get a prorated refund of my pre-paid warranty. I was told I by the retention person Erica that I could only get the two years that haven't started yet. So this year, I would continue getting service. On that call 3/18/22, Erica assured me that she or Sandra Medford would be calling me to schedule service. I never heard from either one to this day. Erica also said I would be getting a refund to my credit card on file and that never happened. In the interim, I called several times to talk to a manager. I was assured that urgent e-mails and /or voice mails were left for the Branch and Service Managers Oswaldo and Niko to call me. I never heard from them either one. This company takes your money but doesn't do anything!!! I consider that robbery. All I wanted was for them to do the right thing and refund the unused portion of my pre-paid warranty service. Subsequently, I had to hire someone else to do the work at considerable expense. It was then I found out they didn't trench along the foundation as stated in my original contract with them. I'm going to continue getting the word out until they return the unused portion of my pre-paid warranty including this year's portion starting in April 1st to the end of the year. If they will not return calls and send someone out for service, they should not keep this years portion either. Next stop, the Better Business Bureau. read more

Was interesting to see similar experiences written here on yelp for Terminix. I just cancelled our device with them after using them for four years. They constantly don't show up and one of the service guys was a little suspect. I felt like I am being ripped off and don't like them lying saying they showed up when they did not! I rarely put reviews for the businesses I deal with but I am so upset at the treatment I've received from Terminix that I am providing a feedback. Hopefully, this will be useful for the people to chose their pest control provider in the future. I will update the review if necessary based on Terminix response later. On Feb 28 Terminix did the tent fumigation on my house in Pleasanton, CA. I had the house completely prepared for it when they arrived at noon. They started setting the tent around 2 and probably started introducing gas around 4. We were supposed to return on Monday. I got a call on Saturday morning around 11 from my neighbor that the tent had ripped. I immediately called Terminix and talked to multiple people. They promised someone from the PEST, Terminix contractor will call me. I was at home around 1 and saw about 10-20% ripped. No one called me till 2:00 and I called back, going thru the process and talking to someone. Rick from PEST called and said he's trying to get people there soon. I stayed there and one person showed up around 5PM. By that time the whole tent was ripped. and just flapping all around wildly. He cut/disassembled the tent and put it down around the house. He said the 2nd day that the forced aeration would take place is not going to happen but he added some fans inside the house. He had proper protection when he went in the house. I went around the house seeing several things were broken and damaged. The guy took pictures. I continued to talk to Rick and others about the problem. The crew showed up on Monday and took the tent away and had all of the doors and windows open. They measured the gas level and told us it was safe. However, we were not comfortable and stayed in the hotel one more night. No one called for 3 days. I got an email that card payment went thru and thanked me for paying the charges. Mid March, I got a call from the sales guy, Lamar, inquiring about the payment. My card had been put on hold for possible fraud by the issuer at the end of Feb. He basically didn't know anything about any of the issues. He promised he will have his manager call me. His manager called me a few days later. He again did not know anything about any of the problems, things damaged, etc!! Shocked. He promised he will call a day later. No call for 10 days. The sales guy called me today, 3/30, asking if his manager called me!!! I don't know why he could not talk to his manager about it. I told him, please tell your boss to be informed and ready when he calls me with some solutions. I told him I'm shocked at the way the whole thing is handled and am disappointed at his manager. He hung up on me! Yes, he did. I'm absolutely shocked at this behavior by almost all of the people I've talked to at Terminix and would not recommend doing business with them. I'm now stock with about $1000 damages. I'll still wait to see if Eric the manager will call me and will make things right. I'll update you of the outcome. read more

Daniel Morris has been our service tech since we signed with Terminex to handle our pest control services. He is a very courteous and knowledgeable; and always on time for when the appointment is set. He goes above and beyond on searching out the little "pests". He found a few hiding under the garden pavers and got rid of them. He gave us some good suggestions on keeping an eye out to see if any others show up before our next service. I called 3 times to order a termite inspection and I was never called back. The original call was placed with their 800#. I found out that they had entered my email wrong, and they had my property listed as a commercial property when it wasn't. My request was sent directly to a technician and not to a manager. I didn't feel valued as a customer and those taking the order were probably not trained very well. I cancelled my request and went elsewhere. NO CALL NO SHOW - Don't waste your time waiting for these jokers to show up. They won't. If it were possible to give this Terminix location less than one star, I would have. I arranged for a termite inspection today and was given a four hour window of between 8am and noon. This meant having to take half a day off work with no pay. No one showed up and no one called to say that they were running late or anything. It was 12:10 when I called the number and after an addiional 11 minutes of holding and talking to two different people I am now waiting for the manager of this location to call me. UGH! read more

Wow, where to start with such exceptional customer service!? I have a toddler who was playing in the backyard this afternoon when all of a sudden, we saw several wasps. (An issue we have dealt with seasonally the last few years). I have been a Terminix customer for quite some time, but we did have a different service tech until our recent service. Thankful for Daniel Morris being our new go-to-guy. I scheduled an appointment for this Friday (today is Monday) through the main call center, but my wife then phoned Daniel's direct line and he didn't hesitate to say, "I'm at my last apt and can be at your house in 10 min." Daniel showed up same day and didn't seem to be in a rush (this was not on his scheduled route and he was already off for the day). He took his time, checking every possible spot a wasp could nest. Daniel even took it upon himself to remove debris from our gutters where it was preventing him from spraying. To top it off, he gave my dog a treat. I signed up for the annual contract and the first 6 months they were great; however, the past 6 months has been absolutely horrible. They missed 3 appointments already. Never once did they call to let me know they can't make it and that we need to reschedule. Called the phone number and nobody ever picks up. Always have to wait for someone to call back. When they do call back, they said they only thing they can do is write an e-mail to the branch director and regional director and that they will call me back within 24 to 48 hours to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they never call back within those time frame or even a call back at all. Today will be the 4th time that they cancelled on me and did not call to let me know. The representative said she did the protocol by sending an e-mail and that's all she can do and hung up on me. No call back from her either. Maybe the other surrounding service is better; however, the Pleasanton surrounding area is the absolute worse! I want to cancel their service, but they said only the regional manager can do that but at the same time the manager is not calling me back and they won't let me get his e-mail. It seems like they are quick to get my money but is not providing any service. read more

We had the Exclusion service because we found rodent activities in our attic. Last week, Larry J. came out to inspect our attic, providing details on what needed to be done. Within a week, Exclusion Technicians Tom Keech and James came to our house, and we are very happy with their service. Tom was very detailed in explaining the situation to us, told us what he had done in the attic to prevent rodents from entering our attic. James worked on our roof and garage door to make sure all but one openings are closed. Within a couple hours, we found squirrels sitting on our roof because they could no longer get into our attic. Now we can sleep at night. These guys are awesome! read more

This Terminix is exceptional. The exclusion department specialist, Tom K., takes painstaking care to ensure your rodent problem is properly treated, disinfected and eradicated. We had a family of mice set up a home underneath our pool deck over the summer and Tom K has personally worked round the clock to fix and later revisit the area to ensure the mice no longer are living under the deck. Exceptional customer service. So impressed with Tom K. I also use Terminix for my regular pest control (ants, termites) and Marischal is a pleasure to have as my pest control technician. I was a customer of Terminix for a number of years. I would say I was an 'easy" customer as Terminix would come to my home every quarter to treat around the house and I paid, end of story. But wow, what an experience I had in the last week! Here's my story: I am in the process of refinancing my house so I need a termite inspection report. Sounds easy, right? Well, I went on to the Terminix internet site to fill out a form to have somone call me. Did anyone call....no! So I tried calling Terminix. OMG, what an awful, awful experience. No matter what number you call, e.g. 800#, local #, all calls route to their Contact Call Center in Atlanta. Now, here' where it gets crazy. First time I called, someone answered after about 10 mins. on-hold and said he would need to inform a supervisor to call me about the termite inspection appt. Did I get a call when I was told I would? No. So I called back. While on-hold for 15 mins, there is a tape recorded woman explaining all of the great services Terminix offers. OMG! This was one the worst, if not worst, on-hold experience I've ever had. The recording is relentless, it's actually headache producing. After attempting other numbers in the hopes of getting through I finally hung up. After a week of trying to get a hold of Terminix via the Internet and by phone I finally decided to call Clark Pest Control. I called and after two-rings, a nice woman answered, took my information, and said someone would call me first-thing the next morning. The next morning, a representative from Clark called and promptly made my appointment for the terminte inspection, easy-peasy, very nice experience. I then called Terminix, again, to cancel my entire service. Ater 10 mins on-hold (not suprised but at least they answered this time) I got a representative and shared my story. She's wasn't too empathetic but simply said, we don't show a record of your call, etc. etc. At this point it was clear to me that continuing with Terminix was absolutely over. At the end of the call, the representative said, "Thank you for choosing Terminix!" Really??? Never again. read more

Customer service of this Branch in Pleasanton is the absolute worst and I recommend anyone who has business with them to stop working with them and find a company who cares about their clients. I was scheduled for an inspection of my attic last Thursday, the technician called to say he couldn't make it on time. We recheduled for two days later, which they again missed the appointment. I called the technical and he is not answering his phone and their customer service is unsuccessful and getting an answer from anyone at the branch office or at the district branch office. I am canceling all my service with Terminix. I deserve excellent customer service and am not receiving any from this branch. read more

I have been using Terminix for a number of years...pretty happy with the results. I am even more impressed by the two gentlemen that have been my service providers. Unfortunately, my previous guy, Otis, moved to Washington. He was SO polite, prompt and informative. Sad to see him go. But I met my new service man this week, Dan Morris. Super thorough!!
