Flourless chocolate cake topped celebrate our birthday
    Joy S.

My family and I enjoyed a birthday dinner at Terra Terroir. They are located in an unassuming shopping plaza with plenty of free parking. We had made a reservation on open table to secure a seat on the patio. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host and shown to our table. The smells from the open kitchen filled the air and our stomachs were happily growling. We let our server know we were celebrating a couple of birthdays and she let us know that Mondays are half price wine bottles $50 or less. She made a great recommendation and brought our bottle to the table. The patio was so warm and cozy with fire places roaring, decorated heat lamps, flowers on all the tables and growing plants and a water feature. We ordered the Terra burger and lamb chops and it was all really good. We needed to go boxes because the portions were so big. Finally, we shared the flourless chocolate cake topped with berries for dessert. It was a lovely way to celebrate our birthday.

What a pleasant surprise to find this place! I love the plants! You must sit in the back. I've passed this place a thousand times and would have never expected a greenhouse in the back. We split the spinach and feta salad and it was very good, still a good portion when split. I had the short ravioli in vodka sauce- sooo yummy! But I was still hungry after. My guest had the slow braised duroc pork shank. It was a very large portion with polenta and Brussels. Service was attentive and accommodating to celiac/gluten free.

I came here for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise. This place has a very nice decor. It feels like Italy. The building has three sections: main inside, bar, and outside patio. The main inside has plenty of booths and tables. The bar is at the entrance. The outside patio has a cover for the weather. The bar is inside and nice with limited seating. The staff is friendly but the place was packed and slowed down service a bit. I ordered the slow roasted pork shank, sake martini, Rye redemption, and dessert pizza. The cocktails tasted great. The Rye Redemption is pretty much a Manhattan with a splash of bitters. The sake martini has a Japanese fruit puree in it which makes it sweet and balanced. The pork shank comes with fried Brussel sprouts and grits. The Brussel sprouts and grits are amazing and made this dish worth it. The pork shank was a little tougher than I expected and it was a low temperature. The dessert pizza or apple pizza is a fried tortilla with cinnamon sugar as a base. Then it is piled on with cinnamon apples, blue berries, crumbles, and mint leaves. The dish came cold but they took it back and warmed it up. They also put a bit of vanilla ice cream on top. It tasted great the second time.

My first time and I enjoyed the ambiance. I want to try again perhaps I ordered the wrong dish. Service was good. I was not crazy about what I ordered. Dessert was tasty!

One of our go to restaurants in Brookhaven. Great wine selection and food. Food is much better than in prior years! New items on the menu which are great!

Do they have a weekend brunch menu?

No, there's no brunch menu here and they're not open on Sunday's, excepting Mother's Day; reservations are required.

Is Monday night jazz still happening here?

Hi Lexi - no it isn't at the moment, but we will probably bring it back in the future. You can always check and follow our FB and website to stay up-to-date with that. www.facebook.com/TerraTerroirAtl. Thanks for checking in!

The Ashford is a pretty nice place to grab either brunch, lunch, or dinner! We came around 7, so we had dinner. You can sit outside or inside, the weather was really nice, but we just wanted to sit inside in the AC. I got a glass of the bieler rose, which was recommended by our server. My wife got the lavender daydreams cocktail, which was really good! We all shared the chicken spring rolls and the burrata bruschetta. Both were really good! The chicken spring rolls were in a rice paper, and not the usual wonton paper. I don't usually like the rice paper spring rolls, but these ones weren't too bad. For our main, me and my wife got the chicken schnitzel. They even split it on two different plates for us too, which was nice of them to do. It was SO GOOD. Pretty sure I inhaled mine! We also shared the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. The mac and cheese was soooooo good. It was a pimento mac and cheese, and had herbed breadcrumbs. Chef's kiss! The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars, is because our food took FOREVER to come out. There were some larger parties, so I do get it, but this was like 30-45 minutes forever. Also, I can't remember which dish, but one of the dishes me and my wife got was cold, so we asked to send it back to get a warmer version, which they did. They comped this off the bill, which was nice. That didn't bother me as much as the food coming out so late. Had that not been the case, I would've given this review 5 stars! The food was really really good. We would definitely still come back in the future!

Food notes: * Beignets: Delicious starter for groups or anyone with a sweet tooth (kids love them too). * Short Rib Hash: Hearty, flavorful, and always great. * Omelette Specials: My usual go-to. Just wish the kitchen would consistently catch that I'm lactose intolerant and need no cheese. The center can also be a bit underdone, especially when I order egg whites -- but flavor-wise, still love it. * Ham Benedict: Solid classic. * Steak & Eggs: Disappointing the one time we tried it -- especially given the price point. * The Big Nasty: Legit comfort food, but would love if it came on a biscuit instead of a soft bun (or if there was an option to swap). * Breakfast Potatoes: Extra crispy with onions -- I personally love them, but some might find them a touch too dark Drinks: * Coffee menu is limited -- just drip, cappuccino, and double espresso, with cream as the only option. * Would love to see non-dairy milk options and better coffee quality overall -- we've skipped brunch a few times because of that. Service & vibe: * Always attentive and friendly. * Really appreciated the thoughtful touch during our last visit -- they surprised my husband with a brownie for his birthday and brought me a dairy-free dessert so I wasn't left out. All in all, Haven remains one of our favorite casual-yet-upscale brunch spots -- just a few tweaks away from being perfect.

In fact, the manager tied the tie that went with my dress for me because I didn't know how to do it. He also ended our night with a lovely champagne toast which was the perfect touch for my birthday. Devon was also an amazing waiter. I appreciated his attention to detail and promptness throughout the whole service. Food: All of the women at the table did the prix fixe menu which was an amazing deal that they offer I believe on Fridays and Saturdays. For the 4 courses you get, it is well worth the price and honestly a great deal for a date night if you have someone you want to impress :) Everything was phenomenal. The crab cake was full of meaty crab, the lobster bisque was velvety and creamy, the ginger duck steak was cooked perfectly and though I can't remember the dessert I got, likely because I was stuffed from the other courses, I'm sure it was delicious too. The menu was plentiful with great choices and it's honestly a whole lot of food! Drinks: This is the only thing I'd say wasn't my favorite. Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty.
