They sat us at 9:30, warning us that they close at 10:30 (yet sat 2 couples after us). Just don't start off with warnings; info, yes. We got sat in a lightness space with no candle. Sigh. We have cell phone lights. The menu looked good. The servers were unhelpful in making choices, when being asked if they could add a protein to a pasta dish. Please go ask the chef; I'm sure it was possible! Having just got in from a long flight, fine, just give me the pappadelle. When the food came, our hopes had dwindled from tired service. However, each plate was on point! The pasta dish was on point! The salad was good. The other soup thing was good. With the food, the owner (?) came to redeem the service by bringing a candle for the table, asking about our meal, entertaining us--patiently, with dessert options. I'd do this again.

Just made my second visit to this hidden gem. My friend who recommended it is a born and raised Italian, so it had a lot to live up to. The space is warm and welcoming. They have regular seating as well as high top bar and table seating. The food is absolutely delicious. I was excited to find out the chef is Roberto Passon as I used to go to his namesake restaurant in Hells Kitchen. Highly recommend the Tagliatelle Bolognese, pizza (we tried a few), and the Mussels. Oh...and the BREAD! A great range of both white (I love a Gavi) and red wine. I also loved seeing a familiar face. Umberto used to work at that mentioned restaurant. He made both experiences great. Him and Keme gave great recommendations for both food and beverages. They made my friend's birthday memorable. I highly recommend for anyone to visit - family, friends or on a date - it will not disappoint. Excited to come back MANY more times!

Came in during the snow storm, so it wasn't busy at all. Nonetheless, really welcoming workers. Love all of the design choices from the wood slate menus to the ladder wine wall. Such a cozy ambiance. Pizza was heavy-leaning salty, but I didn't too mind. Had to ask for a basket of bread as well but not sure why that doesn't automatically come out. Easily stayed about 2-hours and didn't feel rushed out.

Came on a Wed night. Busy but not crowded. I was able to get a table for 1. Ambiance is cozy and dimly lit but there's also outdoor seating which is nice. Ordered the steak which comes with fries and a small salad. A good deal if you're the type that needs sides for your meal. I was in the mood for steak but as it is an italian spot you should probably come here to try the pasta (which I will probably do next time). Tiramisu is good. Staff is nice and fast.

Such a great restaurant we stumbled upon - half bottle wine Monday & Tuesday's. We had the beet salad, spaghetti/ meatballs, al vongole ~ all delicious - we topped it off with cheesecake & cappuccino ~ so good we will be back. The service was excellent

Gigi was very attentive to our table and the drinks were great! The vibes in here are great and looking forward to coming back for the good happy hour.

THE PIZZAAAAAA so good!!!!!! Also such cute vibes, and great outdoor seating. Gigi was the absolute best too!

TLDR; not out favorite meal but can't complain much When we came around 10pm on a Sunday, it was very empty, and service was fast. We got a pizza and side lamb. The pizza was good - the crust was a little undercooked in the middle but flavors were nice. The lamb chops were very mediocre. I wish I had at least salt & pepper for them. Ambiance is moody - not atypical for a wine bar.

Devoured everything lol expresso martinis and lamb chops.

We were seated towards the back of the cozy narrow dining room and immediately greeted with a smile from the awesome waitress Cherry. She was very helpful and informative with the unusual tapas menu. We ordered a selection of items, and each dish was so good! Starting with the brussel sprout starter, which was crispy, bright and delicious. we then ordered tteokbokki, described as a rice cake, but much more like little bowl delicious rice gnocchi with a creamy chase sauce. We followed with jjambong gambas, a creative and tasty shrimp dish, and the seafood ramen, very spicy and a real treat. If you get a chance, do not miss out on this sweet spot. Incredible food, astounding and attentive service, and all in a magical cozy dining room.

The patio here is adorable, offering a peaceful, cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of Midtown street and hotel traffic, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive. Everything we ordered was phenomenal, but I highly recommend the albondigas (beef and pork meatballs), patatas bravas (crispy potatoes with garlic aioli), coca de costilla (braised short rib flatbread), and the huevos horneados (eggs baked in a savory chorizo and tomato sauce). To finish on a high note, the dulce de leche churros are an absolute must. This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last!

My food finally came and she went back to talking to him and he went back to prepping for the evening I suppose, cutting up fruit (that she started to eat by the way as he was prepping. ) The level of unprofessional behavior blew my mind as he never checked on me. I requested hot sauce and as my glass sat there empty ,eventually had to ask for a glass of water disturbing their conversation once again. It's really a shame as the food was pretty good, (particularly the chicken which I added to my salad) but can never make up for the poor service exhibited today. But don't let the basement level dissuade you; they really turn their location into a strength. There's a covered "outdoor" section with lots of natural light, and the inside is spacious and modern, with a semi-open kitchen that makes it feel like you're in a place twice its size. The tapas we tried were great. Patatas bravas were crispy on the outside, with a fluffy inside, and maybe a touch too much salt. The hamachi crudo was excellent, with a unique coconut and mango sauce that gave it a touch of sweet to go with the zest. And the pulpo was great, the octopus was well prepared and the sauce was hearty without dominating the taste. The half chicken was the most memorable dish; our server recommended it, and it's clear why. It was unbelievably juicy and tender, with plenty of lemon flavor in every bite. Lots of meat, don't expect a small plate like the other menu items! All in all a good experience in a nice atmosphere, definitely staying on the list for tapas in the future.

DO NOT GET the queso - it's literally a couple thin slices of cheese, a tiny bowl of almonds, and some tomato mixture. You can add bread for like $7 on top of the original $16 price - actually ridiculous for what you get. The roasted duck breast was flavorful and tender, and the bavette steak was even better. Really great to share as well since they're cut up already. Good vibes in Debajo - would definitely come back again. It was clean and very chic.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the owner, Lorena. She was very cordial, attentive, gave magnificent recommendations, and added to the enjoyment of the meal. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and was blown away by the size. The glass was almost the size of the Bryant Park fountain, the Sangria was sweet and refreshing, and the fruit was abundant. I ordered two tapas: Croquetas de Jamon Serrano (Ham Croquettes) and the Albondigas (Meatballs). The croquettes were nicely presented, I enjoyed the sauces that adorned each croquette, they had a slightly crunchy outer layer, and the serving was four. The meatballs were amazing. Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery. P.S. - Please, do yourself a favor and read the history of EZ Paella, which is on the menu. They made it through COVID and have enjoyed consistent success, since.

The drink selection (especially if you're a rum drinker) was limited. The rum cocktail that I settled on was awful. The manager/owner? stopped by our table and greeted my husband, shook his hand but completely ignored me.... Very strange. Not a big deal for us, but if you are not used to paying $10 for water, an included gratuity or an additional "service fee", get used to it while dining here. The reason for the three stars you ask? While the menu is limited, everything we tried tasted good. The macaroni and cheese balls were my favorite and the mussels, although just a few, were tasty. Besides our assigned server Nicole and the manager, the staff at Casa De Lobo that we interacted with seemed generally friendly and happy to serve us. The pizzeria that you enter into had delish slices (we grabbed a few when leaving) and it was a cool "speakeasy entrance". I came, I saw, I won't be back.
