This place is delicious! The meat is amazing quality. You're seated and the server explains how it works. You have little place cards that you can turn when you're ready for meats to be offered and you can flip when you want to pause. You have the option to a buffet type area to get sides such as rice, beans, salads etc. Once you're seated if the place card is set to ready different meats will be brought to your table. If you want some, you say yes and they will serve you a piece. You can always say no thank you if the meat is not something you want. The atmosphere is nice. Comfortable. The quality of salad, side dishes and meat were good using highest grade meat and marination. The most disappointing part was the high level of salt that tasted so bitter in meat and veggies that drowned out palate. Filet mignon, strip steak, pork were all so salty to the point if a diner had a high blood pressure it could affect their health. We will try other steakhouse in the future. read more

We dropped by TdB in Irvine, after golfing at nearby Tustin Ranch. TdB is your typical churrascaria, serving AYCE meat brought to your table, and a buffet featuring salads, soup and feijoda. Positives: Most of the meat was very good, esp the signature picanha. We also had sirloin, spicy steak, sausage, pork ribs and lamb; The desserts were also very good. I had the coconut pie, and there was plenty of fresh coconut. The scoop of ice cream was massive; Our waiter, Ivan was friendly & attentive. Two managers stopped by to make sure we were getting everything we needed; The meat servers were mainly friendly, primarily the fellow serving the picanha. Negatives: A Mgr tried to seat us in the bar, altho we had a res via Open Table. I loathe this practice. I requested the dining room via Open Table. Tables in the bar are for peeps w/o rezzies when the restaurant is full. The restaurant was not full; We brought our own wine. Our waiter opened the wine, but did not pour the wine. Sorry, but we paid a corkage fee. The waiter should pour the wine; The lobster bisque didn't have any lobster, and the feijoda didn't have any sausage; The buffet items were limited. Im comparing this company to Fogo de Ciao, Texas is more expensive and their is less variety of sides so I cant justify a 5 star. Our main meat handler Anthony was fantastic though, he was funny, professional and knowledgeable. The overall cuts were tasty but also at times we would get a massive serving of just fat (not good) and a small sliver of the good protein, there wasn't a regular standard for size. Came here on Valentine's Day weekend so the place was packed. The staff handled it well, though! The place is clean and the service was quite efficient despite the crowd. They had an array of hot and cold dishes at the salad bar so there were plenty of choices. You also get sides like the famous brazilian cheese bread served at the table alongside mashed potatoes, fries, and candied plantains. We ordered cocktails and they do not hold back on the alcohol so you definitely get your money's worth on that. The main event is the meat, of course! They had a variety of selections so make sure to bring a massive appetite. My favorites are the steaks and sausage. The staff does a great job with the meat rotation too, so you're not offered the same kind too soon. By the end of the meal, it will be unlikely that there's room for dessert. 2/9/25 weekend lunch birthday My family and I are regulars at this location so we don't really need an excuse to come. We love Brazilian picahna and lamb chops. My husband chose this as his birthday lunch so we came to enjoy our favorite place. We had a pleasure of getting Alex as our server. He was the NICEST most down to earth server we have ever had. He was sincere, kind, ATTENTIVE and made sure our meat requests were all received. Unlike past experiences, the result would go in and 20mins we were still waiting. Not today, he was checking up on us every 5mins just to ensure our dining experience was super. We never had empty glasses or empty side dishes. He was extra sweet to my girls. I did notice a difference between the two days where ribeye was served on the Friday but not on Saturday. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. From the moment we sat down, it felt more like we were at a car dealership than a restaurant. Our server, Rodolfo, immediately launched into a long wine presentation. After we all ordered sodas and clearly stated we didn't want alcohol, he continued -- not once, but multiple times -- to push bottles of wine and go over different alcohol options. It honestly felt like a 10-minute sales pitch, and even after we declined, he came back a third time trying to upsell us. Throughout the meal, he repeatedly interrupted our conversations to suggest additional items like desserts and reminded us more than once to leave him a 5-star review "on every platform." It made it very difficult to relax and enjoy the dinner, especially since we were there to celebrate. To make things worse, we were brought the check even though we were not finished eating. We went ahead and paid, planning to leave a cash tip on the table. When he picked up the check, he told us, "Just so you know, it's typical to leave at least 20%." That comment felt unnecessary and inappropriate. Tipping should reflect service, and we have always tipped well for great service -- but constant upselling and pressure does not equal great service. The restaurant seems a bit cramped and the servers didn't seem to have much organization. Overall, it was a decent experience. Still very nice but not my favorite Brazilian BBQ. I highly recommend taking a digestive before eating to process the food better. I skipped the carbs to eat more meats. Our waiter, Daniel, was awesome and clearly doing his best to take care of us. We were about 30 minutes into our meal before our drink order was taken, but once ordered, the drinks were delivered. Dessert also took quite a while to arrive. It seemed like they may have been understaffed that evening. The food was delicious and met expectations. She was absolutely amazing, attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. She made our meal even more enjoyable and you can tell she takes great pride in her work and in making guests feel at home. We have also been to the Rancho Cucamonga location, and honestly, there is no comparison. Irvine is on another level. If Rancho Cucamonga had a store manager like Aline, I believe she could completely turn that location around. Met with my family from LA for Father's Day and was really displeased with the management. Food / waitress was fine. My mom made a reservation here after I told her how awesome their service and food was my last visit and she made the reservation last week for today at 11:30. They drove down for over 2 hours. Turns out they don't open till noon. Cool. I assumed that we would be seated at noon and understood it could be a normal mix up or glitch on their system. But instead they notified us we would have to be placed in cue for a walk in. How is that our fault? After waiting another 30 mins in the heat, we were finally seated. But really, no one came to apologize or offer any comps. Waitress only kept pushing alcohol specials - I ordered one cocktail that was half ice and fruit chunks. Even after the manager was supposedly notified twice, nothing was done to even state they noticed our wait and wanted to make up for that on Father's Day. My parents are both over 60 and it's not easy to drive and wait in the heat like that but they didn't want to complain to me. That's not acceptable and I don't know if I'll end up coming back here again because I would have caused a scene if it were just me and my lady - but we didn't say anything because I didn't want to cause my dad stress on his day. The salad bar was unlimited but if you are there to try all the meat I suggest not getting to much at the salad bar so you don't fill up on meat, because the meat can get heavy at a certain point. After you're done with the meat you can get more from the salad bar to help with all the meat juices. They have a large variety of drinks too we had their special cocktails and it was really good. If you get it with a double shot that is really all you need for the night. There is also a desert menu that they bring replicas out for you to see too. The vibes were super classy and at your table you can say if you want meat or not with this little disk that is green on one side and red on the other. The staff is also really nice and accommodating. They overheard us talking about getting chimichurri sauce and they got it for us. Overall great experience. But if you are thinking about going, I recommend getting a reservation because there was an hour and a half wait when we got there, we got there around 7. read more

I visited the Texas de Brazil Irvine location on July 20, 2025 around 4:25 PM with a friend to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We had a reservation through OpenTable and noted that it was for a birthday celebration. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, we were seated at a small table near the entrance that felt more like being outside than inside. I asked to be moved, and while they did move us, it was to another small table that wasn't much better. Our server Kathy took our drink orders and asked about our meat preferences. We clearly requested well-done only. I also showed her a 15 percent off coupon from the Retail Therapy app by Irvine Company and mentioned the $20 birthday reward. She said both were fine to use. Throughout the meal we continued receiving medium-rare meats with visible blood, even though we reminded multiple servers that we only wanted well-done. We received maybe one piece that was actually cooked the way we asked. A manager with glasses and an accent came by, and when we explained the seating and meat issues, he was dismissive and said something like "You're bringing me money, so next time let me know and I'll seat you better." No apology, no offer to fix anything. When the check came, the discount was not applied. I asked our server and she said the manager would handle it. After about ten minutes he returned, and instead of asking how our experience was, he scanned the coupon himself and then accused me of having used it in 2024, even though he had just redeemed it. I explained that this did not make sense and even asked my friend to redeem it from his app, which produced the same static code. The manager still refused and told us to contact the app ourselves. The difference between the two discounts was less than two dollars. It was never about the money but about how poorly we were treated. On top of that there was no effort to celebrate the birthday beyond the initial greeting. No dessert, no small gesture, nothing. Most concerning of all, both of us experienced food poisoning later that night. We believe it was from the undercooked meat we had specifically asked to be well done. I emailed the restaurant afterward with our receipt and coupon attached, but no one resolved the issue or offered a refund. This was our first visit to Texas de Brazil and unfortunately it will be our last. A special day turned into a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The Experience: Zero Communication: We were forced to stand outside in the cold for nearly two hours. When I asked for a text notification so we could wait somewhere warm, I was told it wasn't an option. They wouldn't even give us an estimated wait time. Missed Plans: Because of this nearly two-hour delay, we completely missed the show we had tickets for following dinner. Poor Service: Once seated, the service was rushed and inattentive. No one acknowledged the wait, offered a drink, or made any gesture of goodwill. Lack of Accountability: I spoke with the GM, David, a few days later. He admitted the restaurant knew they were running "extremely behind" as early as 12:00 PM that day. Despite this, they never called to warn us, leaving us to find out only after arriving. We spent $240 for an evening that resulted in throbbing feet, a missed event, and a ruined special occasion. For a brand that prides itself on "professionalism," this was a massive failure in basic hospitality. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects your time and your reservation. Once the bottle was finished he never offered to bring another nor actually get us tap water. How do I know they had tapwater available? Because other tables were being served tap water. I made a reservation on January 23 for four people for February 14 and spoke with a staff member who confirmed it. However, I never received any confirmation. Two days before my reservation, I called to reconfirm but no one answered. I left several messages. On February 14, I called again starting from 12 PM (when you opened) until 4 PM, left voicemails, and sent emails, but received no response at all. Because of this uncertainty, I had also made a backup reservation at Fogo de Chão. When I finally called them, they answered within three rings and immediately confirmed my booking. My husband and son prefer Texas de Brazil, which is why I originally chose your restaurant.
