Had dinner here last night with my wife. The staff was amazing waited about 39 mins for a table. Reservations are recommended we made a mistake and had our reservations at a different location. The restaurant was very nice and clean. The items on the bar were good and the meat started coming quickly. The only down side was the mashed potatoes and the meat were both very salty. Texas de Brazil was not on our radar for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. We had reservations elsewhere and they canceled it without my knowledge, so I scrambled to find somewhere else to go. I made a reservation two hours in advance and was able to secure one. I called and asked if they did anything specific for birthdays and they assured me that they do. Perfect. We make it there 30 minutes early, and we still got seated and when we requested a more private location, they accommodated. Our server Abdoul, was perfect. Fantastic. Lovely. I adored him. The food was amazing, the filet was perfect. The lamb chops were to die for. The salad bar was immaculate. The guachos were so lively and funny (especially the one black guy there). We had to take several breaks to just catch our breaths with the amount of food we were having. Our server kept making jokes about us tapping out so soon. My husband and I visit Texas De Brazil maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Our last visit which was our 3 year anniversary 3 days ago was our worst experience ever. They had no air. The salad dressing was watery. Flies was every where. We normally have desert but all I wanted was to leave. There were fans everywhere but the table next to us took over the fan which was not fair. The service was very good, and our waitress made sure some well done meat came by our table (I am pregnant and not eating underdone meats.) The salad bar was okay, but didn't blow me away. We had a reservation for the 5. 3 of the 5 checked in with the hostess while waiting on the other two to join us shortly thereafter. I was part of a large party for grandma's birthday celebration on March 5th 2023. First the food: Everything ​on the salad bar was not to my liking except the pineapples and cocktail shrimp. The salad options are very limited and there are no basic, regular options to add to say a garden salad except the greens. The only meat that contained to bring around to our table was beef and pork with one trip for lamb chops. There was never any chicken brought around until we specifically requested it TWICE before anything came. By this time, we were a few minutes away from getting our desserts. The food was definitely a waste of money on my $100+ check ​for me and my twins. T​he Service: ​ ​The service was good until the end when we were about to pay. I don't eat pork or beef so I only did the salad bar option. After receiving my check with the full priced meal on it, I informed our waiter that it was incorrect. She immediately looked at me and said with suspicion, "Did you ONLY have the salad bar?!" With an emphasis on "only'. I was appalled that I was question in that manner, however, I remained calm and reinterated what I had previously said. Giving 3 stars because the choice in meats is superb and delicious but the service received today was far from that. Where do I begin... this is my 4th-5th time dining in this establishment, and worst experience yet. When you plan for a date night, specifically on New Year's Eve and have had decent experiences at said restaurant in the past, you kind of expect what you have received, especially given the prices. We arrived 15 minutes early prior to our reservation and was told they are running approximately 15 minutes behind; absolutely no big deal, given the date. So to kill time, we sat at the bar and ordered drinks - 1st mistake. 1) The bartender was taking 2nd drink orders on patrons that have already been sitting at the bar with full drinks already in front of them; not paying us any attention that have been sitting there for a few minutes already... empty handed. 2) The bartender didn't comprehend a Double Jameson DRINK on the rocks and first just poured a shot of Jameson in a Rocks glass and filled it with ice. Once she gave it to me I told her "a double... like a GLASS of Jameson on the rocks...", she just looked at me wildly, so then I had to reiterate what I told her and said "a double"??? in then which she poured two more shots in the already poured glass...Like lawd have mercy have you never had a person order a Jame-O drink?! I get them everywhere I go... Secondly, our dining service/waiter.. Oy. We were sat and greeted within a few minutes by our waiter. He took our drink order and I asked for another "double Jameson on the rocks"... Let's just start out by saying I never received the drink even after asking about it two more times UNTIL right before I asked for the check, which in total time was about 55 minutes. He asked me what I was drinking...again. Imean thank goodness I had the complimentary water that was never refilled or even offered to be refilled after I had drank it. Not to mention, you are also to get complimentary bread, cinnamon bananas, and mashed potatoes with your arrival to the table. I had to ask for them and we didn't get them until almost an hour after we sat down. He only checked on us once and that was bc my spouse stared a hole through him so he stopped by our table to get the dirty plates that we had from the salad bar. I don't ask for a whole lot; just to be treated like I see everyone else being treated, especially by our waiter! For two people to eat there and for my one Jameson double on the rocks was $130... Shoutout to Abdul!!! The service was great thanks to local community heroes here like our server, Abdul and all our gauchos! The fact that Abdul was so happy, professional, and attentive was what helped the already delicious meal even more pleasant! We were weary travelers that knew that we have always had great experiences at all our Texas de Brazil locations. Now moving from Dallas to Maryland makes us already homesick, but having at least one more meal with this franchise made us feel better. They taught me how awesome that grilled pineapple can elevate meats! Abdul even brought me a bowl full just for me!!! Lots of delicious choices at the salad bar! So refreshing and complimentary to all the rich meats. We were able to get a table within minutes even though we didn't have a reservation, but the best way is to have a reservation. We were grateful! They have a full bar so it was a pleasant wait. This was our first visit since Covid precautions everywhere, but tables were spaced out enough and they have people wear masks at the salad bar. I took my significant other here for our one year anniversary, and both the hostess and the waitress made sure to acknowledge our celebration. I am disappointed in Texas de Brazil. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this past weekend. As we are in the midst of a pandemic, we didn't desire to eat in the restaurant. We were excited to learn that Texas de Brazil was doing takeout. We placed an order, and when we arrived to pick it up, the hostesses told us to wait by the bar for the bartender to get our order. After about 10 minutes of awkwardly standing by the bar with no bartender in sight, one of the servers came over to help. She grabbed our bag of food and went over the order. 2 entrees with 2 sides each, rolls, and 2 salads. There were 6 containers in the bag plus rolls, so I assumed it was 1 container with entree plus 2 containers with sides for each of us. We appeared to be missing the salads, so a hostess went and got salads from the kitchen. When we got back to our hotel, we found that we were also missing 2 sides, so for one of the meals (for which we paid $19), all we got was a half pound of meat. I wish I had checked the containers more thoroughly. However, for a $50 meal from an establishment such as this, I would have expected them to be accurate. We suspect that server forgot to give us one of the bags, but I don't fault her because she was trying to fill in since the bartender wasn't around. Also, they could not give us eating utensils. They said because of the pandemic restrictions. However, their dine-in patrons could have silverware, so I don't get it. Luckily, the hotel bar lent us some. This place has definitely gone down a couple of notches. We walked in for dinner and waited for a table and were seated within 10 minutes. Had no reservation and were fine with waiting. The table was dirty and glassware was filthy. Our server did come and wipe everything down at our request. Floors were nasty with food remnants from prior seatings. We did arrive at opening time so this is something that should have been addressed. Salad bar was good, all items were fresh and well presented. The selection has dwindled a bit but overall it was acceptable. Once the meats started arriving we waited and waited for certain cuts but kept getting bombarded with Brazilian sausage, flank steak and chicken. This prompted us to request some of the items missing from regular rotation like lamb chops, ribeye and fillet mignon. The fillet was a big disappointment, very chewy and gristle laden. Lamb and ribeye were both decent. Mind you this was the general consensus from the table over several reorderings. We have dined at this location since it first opened, service and food quality have always been great. Our past two visits have been extremely disappointing. When spending $100 per person for dinner you expect better. There are restaurants in Memphis in this price category that get it right every time. A table of four was then sat and so I asked again about our table and was told that because we were late for our reservation, they would not sit us until after 4pm even though our table was not ready at that time.
