We had the nicest waiter who we couldn't hear very well due to his mask and the overall noise of the resturant, but he heard us and anticipated our every need. I'm confounded by all the reviews. The place was so crowded and loud. So very very loud. The waitstaff was clearly overworked and stressed. Getting anything to us was a long wait time. But we could tell they were working so hard. There weren't enough vegetable options. The food was good. But not amazing, average. We requested the magician and he was awesome! So fun. What a special treat this restaurant is! I threw a little surprise bday party for my fiancé last night and we had such a great time! HUGE thank you to Darla and Laura for working with me on reservation and to our complete delight...we were treated to our own private room. The food was amazing and the service was even better! One of my favorite parts was the entire restaurant singing the National Anthem while the saxophone player serenaded the song (he also visited us in the private room - loved it!). One of the best dinner experiences we've had in a long time! Took a client here while they were visiting from out of state. The entire staff was attentive and made sure we had full drinks and answered all our questions. My husband and I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection and very tender. Everything we ordered was excellent. The owner was eating with his wife at the table next to us and we even had his daughter come by our table and give us a little back history about the restaurant. My wife and I had been wanting to go to this resturant for the last 4 years and tonight was the night. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with great hospitality and smiles from all of the employees. The service was excellent and the ambiance was filled with conversation starters. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Texas Redfish and my wife had the Scottish Salmon. Both are great options. The restaurant was filled with regulars. Walked into this place on a whim. What a pleasant experience. Sat at the bar which is where you are usually ignored if you are having dinner, not the case here. First off you can tell it is family owned because they are walking around greeting everyone and providing a nice touch to the experience. I started with a nice cocktail. I ordered the Pork Chop, let me tell you one of, if not the best I've ever had, succulent and grilled to perfection. If you have room, order the bread pudding it's amazing. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. Neither of us have been here before. The service and food was amazing!! He got flowers delivered and they got us a table right where he wanted to sit. George was our server and he was very friendly and funny. We also met the owner, Dale, and the manager. I got the filet Oscar, which was cooked perfectly. Great feel to this restaurant, always busy and the entertainment factor is high here. Not the typical dark and confined layout like Silver Fox. Energy is way more upbeat and staff show it. Our family made a reservation on a whim while on a little vacation and boy did this place absolutely surpass any expectations we had. This restaurant is an extremely well-run establishment with excellent service and delicious food! The host (didn't catch her name), our server Rosa, the GM Shelby, and another gentleman (guessing another manager?) treated us like VIPs and truly made our dinner a special experience. The ambience was on point, with live music and really neat decor that felt very grand yet comfortable. Great food, service, and ambiance. Glad to see they hung the US flag from a WWII warship correctly. The 3 holes are from the battle. I didn't catch the name of the ship. At 19:00 hrs on Saturday (that's 7pm for civilians), the live guitarist plays the national anthem. All stood with hand over heart or saluted. Very moving. Everything about the meal was on point. Great experience. BTW, they honor veterans with a 15% discount every day. Tonight (Veterans Day) they also provide choice of dessert. read more

Amazing experience and ambience! Our server, Q (Qordell), was great. Q was genuinely attentive with a great personality. We share the sirloin Chateau & shrimp with a chopped salad. It was tender and delicious and big enough that we weren't able to finish it. My daughter ordered the flash fried chicken and raved at how tasty it was. For dessert, we devoured the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. My favorite part of our dining experience, however, was when the saxophone player began playing the Star Spangled Banner and everyone in the restaurant stopped what they were doing, stood up, faced the flag on the wall, placed their hands over their hearts and hummed/sang along to our national anthem. Came here for our first time with my husband, my sister , and our best friend. The steaks blew my mind away, I've never had such of a perfect steak that was so easy to chew and just melted in your mouth. The fried zucchini and crab bites was just perfect to the eyes and mouth. The staff makes everyone feel like family and I love that the waiters and waitresses help each other out to keep the dirty dishes from piling up on the table and refilling your drinks. Omg the desert tray looks amazing but I was way to full to try to eat anything else, but I love that they bring it out to you to show what all they have. The metal blimps are really cool to look around at and the artwork on the walls keep my eyes busy in a good way. I absolutely love this place and will be coming back. read more

We walked in and were greeted very friendly. The waiter seemed friendly too but after he took order he brought us tea with no ice and never came back for a refill. My mom ordered the most expensive steak. Her steak was $72. It was inedible. It was literally burned almost like beef jerky. She took the whole steak home to her dog because she didn't eat any of it and her dog wouldn't even eat it. These people should be ashamed. She should've been offered her money back. For all of the hype and renaming, this place did not come anywhere near the reputation it carries. We went for dinner on a week night. I got there 1st, they greeted and seated me. The storyteller came by and being a clueless novice, I engaged him. It may have been THE Dale Wamsted. After he left and the server came by, I advised I was waiting on guests. He promptly disappeared for 30mins. When he came by I wrestled him to the table where he touted their flatbread with jam. I agreed and he left. The belle of the ball came by as my flatbread came sans jam, chatting up tables. She left to get the jam. The server zoomed by, saw no jam and also went to get jam. Both servings of jam came out, one was serendipitously taken back as my guests arrived and the storyteller lauded Texans manners. The flatbread was meh/med/unimpressive. The belle, storyteller etc except the server kept coming by while we were trying to eat, to speak like they were bored though there were other patrons. The main courses were equally unimpressive. We came on. Saturday night around 7 pm. We had made a reservation for 7:15, so we waited for a little bit for our table to be ready. The sax player then started playing the National Anthem. Everyone stood up and started singing! It was so touching.... I loved the fun ambience and live music playing in the background. Then we were seated at our table. The waitress, and several other people came and introduced themselves and talked to us and made us feel really welcome. Several people came through that were regulars and were getting hugged by the waitresses. They really make their customers feel at home. As for food, we ordered the calamari for appetizer. It came with sprinkled with an Asian sauce with some kick that I loved. We then decided to have the Prime Rib for two that came with two sides of your choice each. We ordered the same sides: whipped potatoes and roasted veggies. The waitress prepped our table, they put down our sides, then the prime rib arrived and it looked gorgeous! My husband really liked it. I thought it was a little tough though for medium. I'm used to it being very tender, like butter when slicing. But the seasoning on it was great! We then got coaxed into trying two desserts since this was our first time here. My husband wanted to try the strawberry cake and I had the strawberry ice cream with grand marnier. Mine was perfect following such a heavy meal. In all, we enjoyed the service immensely and would come back again to try their other dishes. read more

Texas is like Outback but better food and more seats. They go out of your way to make you feel like a part of their family but only if you fit their brand. Our waitress was great but not anyone else. For service; our waitress was amazing. She had a lot of energy and was eager to serve us even when they were semi busy. I assume since it's a family restaurant they will stop at the tables and talk with the guest. Well we didn't get anyone to stop by until the end of our dinner when the waitress asked if we had anyone stop by. We had multiple people pass by but seemed like we had a plague or something. When we said no the Manager came by with cookies to try and make up for it. Which was a nice touch but hate that we were an after thought when all the other tables had multiple people stop by. So I'm sadly disappointed by this and pray it was because of my race. Anyway, I got the 16oz Delmonico Steak with mashed potatoes and burnt corn. The steak was cooked to perfection and the corn was great as well. So highly recommend that. Overall, I would say it's a solid 3.5. Other than them skipping over our table with their friendly greetings everyone else got; the food was good. I won't go back personally due to that because it was painfully obvious they kept skipping over us even when we made eye contact with managers and other waitstaff. If it wasn't for our server and the food this would easily get a 2 star. read more

Horrible! I wish I could give it negative stars. Walked in to find not a single employee was wearing a mask. Not the hostess, not the bar tender and not the server who kept clearing his throat. While we were waiting for our table, a table of four walked in and one women asked me if I noticed that no one was wearing a mask. I said "Yep no one is wearing a mask" and the four of them turned around and left. People are still getting sick. How hard is it to wear a damn mask. I asked one of the servers why they weren't wearing a mask. His response was "we don't have to". They shouldn't be open!!!!!! Whoever said that they wear masks and require masks is lying read more
