I received an email about their valentines specials. One of the advertised specials was prime rib so decided to go. We were told when ordering that prime rib was not available for their location. Very disappointed should have left. So we ordered prime rib very disappointed when it arrived. It appeared a bit over cooked. The salads arrived right before the meal. Lack of timing was an issue as well. The sauce was partially spilled on the plate. Server seemed like she was ready to go because she was sitting at a table near by. It really is hard to go wrong at a Texas Roadhouse. I've been to locations in several states and they are almost always very consistent. The food is great quality, arguably better than their price points and the service is great with friendly and helpful staff, who genuinely look like they are having fun while working. This location is no exception from that. I believe I've eaten at this location half a dozen times already and each time everything has been perfect. I think overall, most people have a good idea what they are getting into when visit a Texas Roadhouse, but if not, there are some things worth pointing out. Like how you have the option of picking your steak out when you walk in before being seated. Sort of a gimmick, but most would admit it is a fun thing to "window shop" and pick out the steak you want cooked. Also, it can be a loud place. In a fun way. They are big on making a lot of noise for folks celebrating a birthday. Some singing and clapping. A good time. Also, for some family fun, there is a little gadget on the table (I forgot to take a photo of it!) that you can play some trivia games on while you wait for your food. You can even use it to pay your bill making for a quick exit once you have overeaten and just want to go home and undo the belt a notch or two. Speaking of waiting for your meal, it won't be long. Service is quick and food is served relatively quick after ordering. The staff is very attentive and will check up on you multiple times throughout your meal to see how it is going and if anything else is needed. read more

Ok, I never thought I would be so passionately posting about Texas Roadhouse, but WOW... this place is amazing!!! Came here on two separate occasions in the last two weeks, and both experiences were wonderful. The service really makes the place. Everyone from the hosts to the server to the managers on site was so friendly, attentive, and caring. The service I received in that Texas Roadhouse was better than any steakhouse I have been to in DC or Nova. And the best part is that there is no judgment or ego. I can come to this establishment as I am...and with my kids!! Both times, a manager stopped by, checked on us, and engaged with our kids. Tonight, a manager brought over a small taste of EVERY side , and some coupons and a bag of peanuts! A couple shout outs... cyndee, Dixie, marissa (?, she was a manager that brought us tastes of sides), and then there was a buff server guy , didn't get his name but he was super friendly. The food is not ~ locally sourced , organic ~ bougee food, but it is still so tasty and delicious, and you can't go wrong with the bread I could not recommend this place highly enough, and especially as a parent with young kids (U know we ain't goin out if we don't have to). I felt so welcomed , it's a great and friendly environment for kids, the value is great. We will be back Thank you, Texas Roadhouse crew. have been here for several times, usually they did a decent 4-star job for the price, nothing special, but pretty decent. But the last visit yesterday is quite disappointing that I can only rate it 1-star. We first ordered prime rib, which was claimed to be available, then later informed gone, so switched to ribeye, medium. After waiting for quite some time, they came - not even well done - "congratulations" will be the correct word to describe how well-done they were. New location in Ashburn! Unfortunately this location opened during COVID-19; however, they are managing well with the situation. A group of us (4 people) went to grab dinner and we enjoyed our foods (blooming onion ring, filet, pulled pork sandwich, frozen sangria, frozen margarita) except rib eyes (we ordered two of them and they were very salty) other than that our waiter, Jimmy, was very attentive with our drinks getting refilled and check on us frequently to make sure we are enjoying our time. The surrounding area is still developing so some roads are a bit blocked here and there but I don't think that will be an ongoing issue. We will come back and try again. :) read more

This is the best steakhouse among the many chain steakhouses. I haven't yet had a bad meal or a tough piece of steak. I like that I can now make a reservation on their app and can be notified on my smartphonewhen my table is ready. I left at that point and asked for my food to be to-go. First time coming here. We had a 45 minute wait but it was definitely worth it!! We were famished by the time we got seated but our waitress was quick to give us warm delicius and buttery bread! We gulped that down so quick she didn't wait for us to ask for a second batch, she just dropped another one down. Talk about service! We ordered the half rib with vegetables, caesar salad and an extra side of fries as well as an 8 oz. sirloin with sweet potatoes and caesar salad. The salad came so quick we were almost full by the time our entreés came. We still ate most of it but definitely had to get some to-go boxes. The ribs were falling off the bones and the steak was cooked perfectly. The fries were a little soggy but it's fries. We will definitely be back though. Glad to see a TX Roadhouse in the area as its reputation is for reasonably priced steak a la Outback. We've been here twice so far in the last few months and it is packed..definitely a popular place. Now, if I compare this place to Capital Grille or Flemings, of course it's no comparison, however the prices compare much more favorably, as well. What you get here is a nice steak with sides at a reasonable price. If you come with the right expectations you leave satisfied and the food is good. Just don't expect the fancy steakhouse experience with prime beef. Hence, my 3.5 -4 star review... One thing I will comment on is the service as even though this is a casual steakhouse the service is pretty casual also. Wait staff will just put a few dishes on the table (i.e. 3 dishes when we have 4 diners), put your drinks down and let you pass em out, bring out apps with your meal instead of beforehand, etc. I realize they are busy but a little more effort and attention to detail would go a long way in a better experience. read more

Frequently visit this restaurant but tonight I had a very bad experience. Waited 40 minutes for just an appetizer, then once ordering our main I asked for my fillet to be medium well, after waiting another 30 minutes the steak came out rare, the server agreed and we sent it back still with the plan of medium well. The steak came back out another 15 minutes later and was literally a hockey puck. No amount of sauce made the steak edible. We were extremely disappointed paid for our meals and left. Unfortunately the waitlist system they use has a lot to be desired. We entered the waitlist online and were texted that the wait was 10-20 minutes. We signed up for the wait list while in route so we only waited at restaurant for about 10 minutes before being seated, but it appeared that there was about a 30 minute wait. Our server was Mo, and I'm gonna go out there and say it.... This was the BEST service experience I have received post Covid. I'm in the industry and say that with confidence. Mo was attentive to all of our silent needs, he was there when you needed him, but was never intrusive. He didn't make us feel rushed, and made us feel welcome the entire time. First time eating at a Texas Roadhouse, I was floored that this chain gets such high ratings. Table of 5 got ribeye, steak & ribs combo, and burgers. The steak tasted as if it was boiled it was so rubbery and weirdly watery, the seasonings were lackluster at best. Ribs were dry, tasted like they were cooked the day before and reheated/slathered with bbq sauce. Burgers were large but overcooked and not seasoned (also came with about 5 fries). Sides were the reason this is a 2-star instead of a 1-star: sweet potato was good if plain (I saved some of the sweet butter that came with the bread and spread it on the potato, yum), mushrooms that came with the steak were meatier and tastier than the steak itself (best party of the whole meal), and my kids loved the free bags of peanuts. Also liked the at-table game console and selecting music from the jukebox while you wait for your table. Staff were nice, ambience was loud, lots of families and older folks. Getting our table was super easy today at 5:30pm! Today I'm trying this new Ashburn Restaurant! It's very clean and everything is brand new! At the host desk we were given a choice between indoor or outdoor seating (it was a very nice sunny day), I choose indoor seating because I have spring allergies! Came here with my family. Food was good. Only problem was they forgot my food and by the time they took it out, we were about to pay for the bill so they gave it to me and it to go box.
