This visit, I sat at the bar. Cool atmosphere at the bar - friendly conversations between patrons and with the staff. Service was great, polite, professional, and interactive. The bartenders were very busy, taking care of making drinks for the entire restaurant, but still were able to provide good service to the packed bar. Food was mixed. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious as always. For the main course, I ordered the roadkill (a chopped steak, served with mushrooms, cheese and other goodies). I ordered it cooked, medium rare, and asked the server if it could be prepared that way... She said "absolutely". It took an extraordinarily long time to arrive, and when it did, it was cooked well done... Well beyond well done to the point that it was not even edible. They offered to make me a new one (I am always hesitant to send food back) I accepted but again asked how it could be cooked - and again I was promised a medium, rare cook. It arrived, well done, no pink at all, but it was edible. Obviously, there is a food quality issue here that is demanding that the chopped steak be cooked well done or incompetence in the kitchen. Sometimes, with hamburgers and chopped steaks the quality of the meat dictates how they have to be prepared... It just would've been good to know, and I probably would've ordered something else. We went to TRH for my birthday. I had my mouth all set for a big porterhouse, but there were none in the window. I asked the server if I could get a porterhouse, he checked and said yes, and I asked to pick one out. The manager came out and said it would be a minute because he had to get the meat cutter to cut some new ones. He personally brought me 3 to choose from that were all beautiful. When it came to the table it was perfectly cooked. Everything else was excellent. You can't beat service like this! For keto and carnivore diners, it's a good choice because they use real butter to grill the meat, no nasty seed oils. Service was super slow last time I was in. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. Every time our server would leave to get us something he would take his time coming back. Took forever to get our order, food came out slow, we ate, afterwards waiting for our check took its time as well. 2 things I really dislike about this place : 1) they don't put prices on any of their drinks. I asked the waitress if I could get a menu with prices and the response was "we don't have that. Most are like 10 dollars." .... kind of disappointing they can't just have a menu with prices in my opinion. 2) they don't itemize their receipts, and I've had 2-3 questionable bills. Not only does this not hold waitresses accountable for charging the correct amount, it makes it incredibly difficult to understand why your bill is what it is. I have Been to Texas Roadhouse many times in different locations and I've always had a good experience. Food can range from location to location. This location was great all around. We didn't have to wait but maybe 5 mins. Service was fast and very friendly. Our server checked on us often, filled drinks often and was super nice, polite and friendly. Food was good. I love their Side salad which actually includes more than just lettuce like some places and their dressings are good. The steak seasoning was perfect and it was actually cooked just right, and wasn't tough. Sometimes a sirloin can be tough if not cooked well. Our server recommended the marshmallows and cinnamon butter for the sweet potato and I'm so glad I tried it. It's like having desert. They were also good on masks and clean inside. Love love love the rolls with cinnamon sugar butter at Texas Roadhouse! The ribs are also fantastic. Everything else is average at best. It's an affordable chain, but there is healthier, less processed food out there. The meat is fresh, but everything else seems frozen or canned. The kids mac and cheese looks like it's right out of a little blue box, and the corn seems like it comes out of a can into a vat of butter. Another problem with this location is the lack of space for groups to sit together. The restaurant is almost exclusively furnished with booths, so if you have a big group you have to get very lucky, wait a long time, or split up in separate booths. Positive side is the customer service is always impeccable. Friendly, fun, and efficient staff. So, I'm rating this a 5 ....because I'm rating on what it is, a Roadhouse. This is not Capital Grille, I know that. It's a great, inexpensive place to take a family of 5 with with two HS boys and a HS girl this is a perfect scenario. They always give you their hot rolls, and they are excellent. We love the fried pickles, but their Cactus Blossom is great (neither healthy, ha). They have excellent Chicken Fried Steak, really very good, and their gravy makes it. We usually get a Sirloin, it's inexpensive and the flavor is very, very good. I'm usually a Ribeye guy, but it has to be Thick, and I save that for high end steak houses. Their sides are very good, green beans are really, really good, and their loaded baked potato or mashed potatos with cream gravy, are really good. It's a super, super solid place to go. The only negative I've seen, their margaritas come in thick glasses, and don't seem to have much, so I stick to their tall draft beer, which goes well with the food anyway. Great atmosphere, and the service is always, always consistent. A manager comes and checks each table, and we've always been super solid with the service. read more

Had a bad experience at the front today. I would give 2 stars but the lady who serve us was very nice and helpful, and the food tonight was good. Therefore I gave 3 stars. We went there around 6pm today. Not too many people in line, only one group. Inside looks crowded but not packed. We waited, and there were 5 group of people came behind us and got seated before us. I was holding my son and finally went to ask the front lady. And then she asked us how many people in our group (which when we went inside, the guy who greated us already asked us and assigned us to #3 station sign) Then, we still waited for 2 more group got seated and she finally printed out the ticket to let people lead us to our seat. So many open booths and she assigned us to a small tiny table with chairs between other booths. Seriously? We have been eating here with our son and never got assigned to a table! She saw me hold my son to ask her questions and she still assigned us to a small table? Especially her attitude when I ask her, why 4 groups came after us already got in? She didn't even give me a reason, without any, like, I am sorry let me check, she just said how many people? And just let me stand there without telling me anything until another lady came to lead us, wow. Probably won't be back in a long time with this experience. Came in 9/1/23 *** There was a VERY long wait and we checked in early before arriving. They told us our table was ready then we still waited 10-15 more minutes. After that a member in our party spoke up, suddenly we were being seated. We got a trio appetizer which surprised me! I usually only e er get fried pickles as an app here, but I now have some new favorites. We had the rattlesnake bites, the boneless wings, and the fried pickles. The boneless wings were amazing. The sauce was soooo good. It was like a really well seasoned buffalo sauce and i'd love to know the recipe. The pickles and rattlesnake bites were great as well. I always get the country fried chicken as an entree. The gravy is so flavorful and the meal is always filling. The sweet tea was bussing per usual and the rolls were nice and hot. Texas Roadhouse is always a great spot to get some rolls and hearty food. The food was amazing but the wait situation, the crowding of the lobby, and the unsanitary nature of keeping the rolls and butter in the open by where people stand, is where this establishment loses one star for this visit. read more

Texas Roadhouse I went to your Anderson Mill location, and I knew I may have an issue with my anxiety before ever going in, but I wanted Roadhouse. I went in had a beer and ordered. My food came to the table on point! The steak was made to perfection. Everthing was delicious. After it started to fill up where i was sitting , I shared with my server that I may have to leave abruptly if my anxiety got much worse. DJ understood the assignment and helped me tremendously. He made sure I didn't need anything, checked on me more than the norm and anytime he was waiting on others by me he stopped ask if i was ok, he brought to - go boxes, bread, etc everything I would need if in the event I needed to leave quickly. I am a big roadhouse fan. We have eaten at restaurants in the DFW area, Houston, and Austin. My dad ate at the south Austin store once a week for three years. Tonight's food was inedible. We had the steak kabob, chicken fried chicken, and chicken fried steak. The normally good kabob was over done and the usually tender meat was tough. The flavor was still good. The chicken fried steak and chicken both were - just bad. They tasted like the salt container was dropped on top of it. It was so bad / salty my 14 year old freshman football player who eats everything- sent it back. We will not come back this location. Wait staff was polite and efficient. I correct her when she returns 5) wife and I order filet mignon entrees (Medium) with salad and vegetables, salad arrives from kitchen, where's the oil/vinegar dressing? wait for our waitress to return so I can ask for it, her "they didn't bring it?"....uhhh, no. she goes and gets it. 6) steaks arrive, cut into them at her request to verify cooking level. not even close, cooked medium rare with blood, sent it back. also, I didn't order rice, I said 'vegetables' (waitress knew this), waitress says 'manager will be back out with steak'. also one of the sorriest pieces of filet I've ever seen, and I ONLY eat filet so I know what it's supposed to look like (not supposed to have fat or be raggy looking). whoever trims their cuts in the back doesn't know jack. 7) wife has baked potato, we usually eat our baked potatoes skin and all, wtf is all the salt all over the skin of the potato? jesus! 8) manager finally arrives with my steak, check the doneness again. ok, now it's medium-well to well-done, way too much. stopped by here to try their iconic bread rolls and they were amazing. the bread rolls were warm, perfectly sweet, and came with a delicious side of whipped cinnamon butter. other than that, the food was pretty good, especially for the low prices. we tried the onion blossom as well as the beef tips with a side of green beans. while i wouldn't say they knocked off my socks, my stomach was still very happy! also, the ambiance inside the restaurant is nice and the decoration is very on theme. overall, this is a classic texas pit stop that i would definitely recommend! read more

We went last night for the first time in years. We needed a change of scenery and we were hungry for prime rib. Unfortunately they were out of prime rib, so that was a disappointment. The steaks we did get were better than I remembered from years back. The restaurant was packed--on a Wednesday night--so they are doing something customers like. But with Covid raging, we were very uncomfortable with the spacing of tables. They gave us a table a little out of the crowd so that helped some. My husband got a steak and shrimp w/ extra shrimp but no extra butter. We live about 15ish minutes from Texas Roadhouse. Spent $70 (I tipped $5) and 30 mins for a sauce-less meal. I called spoke w/ a guy named Andrew (I think) who Silently listened (very awkwardly) and then didn't offer a resolution.
