We ordered food to go. When I got my food we usually get rolls that come with your meal if you're dining in or taking it to go. We didn't get any. I had to ask for them. Also my wife usually gets the portobello chicken this time she got 3- piece fish with two sides. The three pieces of fish put together made one piece of fish. Texas Roadhouse is a favorite. This location is non-commensurate with any other location Ive enjoyed. 16 oz ribeye ordered was not a 16 oz ribeye and was over done by a long shot, cold and chewy. Server was not customer oriented, clearly had better things to do than wait tables this particular night. This is not the Texas RH that I know, and too many things were sideways for me not to leave a rating and some words. Some good leadership could go a long way here in Baton Rouge. read more

There is mostly booth seating, a full bar. There are a bunch of television screens which makes it a great place to watch sports. The service is great. When you enter there is a hostess desk and to the right of it is a meat case with all cuts of steak. I never order a steak from the menu I always selected my steak. I had the butcher cut me a 12-ounce filet mignon and was given a ticket to give to my waitress. I like my steak medium (warm center). It was cooked perfectly as requested with extra seasoning. I enjoyed a baked sweet potato with honey butter and of course the hot yeast roll. The rolls are freshly prepared all day. When you are first seated you get a basket of rolls. You are offered a basket with your meal. And you can Roll With It! As a part of your to-go box. Note: Texas Roadhouse also has a full menu of other options. The steaks were COLD. My sirloin was so tough i could not cut it. The plastic wear they give you will NOTcut a steak. Pretty simple to pay enough attention and get better plastic wear. Called to place a takeout order at 8:32pm and was told they stopped taking orders at 8:30pm. Two minutes when you close at 9pm? Really? This location will be the next one wanting a handout due to declining sales. When you stay open until 9pm for seating then taking a takeout order 28 minutes sooner should be welcomed. read more

Went here on a Saturday night and it was packed! However, we only waited about 20 minutes to get a table for 3. We were seated in a section that had 4 booths and it was kind of tight. The food was good. The restaurant reminds me of Logan's with the peanuts on the floor. I ordered the steak and grilled shrimp and they were both really good. The waitress suggested grilled onions on my husband T-bone and OMG these were the best grilled onions I've ever tasted. I also had the potato skins as an appetizer. We decided to pop over here for lunch. As it turns out, they are only open for lunch on Fridays currently. I guess that's no secret, since the place was packed with a 25 minute wait list. We ran a quick local errand after joining the list and were provided a booth as expected on return. From our experience today, I think they are probably understaffed, and not quite up to speed and quality with a full house. The prices and food items are well matched for value. We each ordered our food and were initially disappointed to see "no peanuts" available on the table like pre-covid times, bummer. I guess some of those things will take some time to come back. it took an unusually long time for our food to show up. They did provide us with a serving of the very warm fresh rolls, and more were offered when we finished them. For a quick business lunch date, this did not work our well. The food seemed to take about twice as long as normally expected. I had ordered a barbecue chicken breast, fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. After the long wait, I found very little warmth in my vegetables, with some small cold spots, and barely warm mashed potatoes. We did not have time to mess with a send back and I just enjoyed my cooled down meal. It was ok. I'd hope that they get their quality control up to standards and their operation efficiency up to speed in the future. I know it's hard for these places to restore their previous personnel as the restaurant economy surges back to life. This review has nothing to do with the quality of food but the choice they make to not serve Prime Rib during the week. I am a long time satisfied customer with Texas Roadhouse , but for these owners to elect not to serve Prime Rib during the week but only weekends to me is a short coming to a "STEAK HOUSE!!!" Had to call the northern Louisiana to verify if they they too are following Baton Rouge's plan. They said hell no we serve it everyday. I guess my beef is that staying at Crown Plaza and having an OUTBACK right next to me just crawled under my skin making a 25 min drive away from the Hotel to hear that news that prime rib isn't available . I got here a bit late, and (since I was a party of 1) I started scouting for a seat at the bar to grab dinner at. Luckily it was a Tuesday, so it wasn't too busy. The open side of the bar was in need of a good wipe down and attention from a busser, but I figured they were probably just still recovering from a very good Happy Hour or something. I settled in with a drink and a menu and started to ponder my options. I decided to go with a salad, the New York steak (with sauteed 'shrooms) and a loaded baked potato. When my steak arrived, she offered me steak sauce (which I didn't need), but I did ask for silverware (which I did need). The steak was good, but a bit on the salty side. This is coming from the guy whose wife always chides him about adding salt to my food at the table. She's on the other side of the spectrum (i.e. very sensitive to saltiness), and she probably wouldn't have been able to eat this as it was served, but I didn't mind it too much. The baked potato was good, but those are pretty hard not to get right. I had skipped their hot rolls to save all my gratuitous carbs for the loaded baker. Well, that and my jd-on-the-rocks. Does whiskey count as a carb? I hope so, it will help me confuse my doctor: Doc: You seem to be gaining weight lately. Me: Hm. Maybe I should cut back on the carbs? Back to the review. Now if you didn't catch it, I haven't mentioned what I thought of the salad. That's because my salad didn't show up until 15 minutes after my steak was brought out. Well, technically it was 14 minutes by the time stamps on my food photos, but either way. The server's only comment when she noticed it was "You didn't get your salad already?" in a very nonchalant manner, and when I told her "No" and she didn't really respond to that, nor did she seem to I didn't touch the salad (decided to chow down on the spud instead). She didn't even ask if I wanted to take it for later. I had noticed they goofed up the salad order for the guy who had been next to me too, but at least they managed to get it out to him before his entrée. Come to think of it, he had to ask for a silverware set too. At any rate, this place seems to suffer from (at best) severe apathy towards what they're doing and how well they do it. The bartender spent most of her time chatting with a couple of twenty-something guys at the other end of the bar and paid little to no attention to the other three of us spread out around the other 80% of the bar stools. I couldn't help but wonder if management is having them wear "I (heart) my job" t-shirts as some sort of subliminal staff training message? I guess the fact that there wasn't a crowd munching peanuts and waiting for tables when I got in should have been a hint for me, but at any rate, I think I'll give them a miss at this location. I like the local TRH back home, but if this is typical of the food and service on a slow night I can only imagine how it would be when they're actually busy. read more

Loaded Baked potato was under cooked wasn't hot & looked just like an end of day products & wasn't loaded. Cheese & bacon bits. doesn't qualify as loaded. Being apart of a group I didn't want to damper everyone's experience. Not sure who the restaurant ambassador who served us. She made the visit worthwhile. I would recommend this restaurant to others. Love Texas Roadhouse when I'm in the mood for a good steak at a decent price! My boyfriend and I always share the cowboy ribeye, medium rare. Such a good cut and with the bone in! As for appetizers, my favorite are the rattlesnake bites and boneless buffalo wings which you can get in the combo appetizer - I just double the boneless wings. The cactus blossom is also really good too. All of the sides are really good, but my absolute favorites are the Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, and the rice. My other go-to entrees are the prime rib (only available on the weekends, I think) and the portobello mushroom chicken. I don't normally like mushrooms but it's so unbelievably good on this chicken swimming in gravy and topped with melty cheese! I know it's a chain but it's probably my favorite chain for steak! Service is very hit or miss, but you can't expect too much from a chain either. read more

Came here for my boyfriends birthday with both of our parents. This was their first time meeting so we were all very excited. We requested a table for 8 and were given a 45 minute wait which we expected. After waiting past that time, they brought us to two tables that were not next to each other. I asked if we could have one table so we could eat together and the hostess was extremely rude and said "what do you mean." I explained we'd rather wait longer for a table together and she said that wasn't possible and walked away. We had two separate servers and while ours was great, my parents' was awful. We had our appetizers before their drink order was even taken. The food was sub par at best. It was a terrible awkward experience, and every employee was rude and dismissive. Husband went in for takeout order over phone on 03/29/2021. All went fairly well, until he asked for "extra" rolls. Meaning additional rolls to the free rolls you are supposed to get with your meal. They charged him $6.00 for 3 EXTRA ROLLS ANDDD they didn't give us our free ones. So you're telling me that now Texas Roadhouse charges $2 PER BREAD ROLL and they don't give you any free ones? Also we got charged for loaded potatoes that weren't loaded. It just didn't sound right, so I tried to call 40 minutes before close to ask the manager If this was correct and sat on the line for 17 minutes before just hanging up. From the hostesses to the waitress, everyone was very nice and greeted my party and myself with a smile. For a Saturday afternoon lunch, our wait wasn't long at all and from what I know, everyone was very pleased with their food. I wanted to order broccoli as a side item, but only saw "mixed veggies" as an option, but I asked the waitress and she assured me that having just broccoli wouldn't be a problem! Great. The parking lot is always packed. Sometimes the wait is long and sometimes you get seated right away even though it seems busy busy. You can call ahead to get in the queue. It needs to be an hour before closing. Be careful the bread they bring out is so yummy that you may fill up on it before your actual meal arrives. It's my favorite part. This is the kind of place where you eat peanuts and shells are all over the floor. I've always wondered if those w peanut allergies ever come here. Overall, we come here all the time. We had reservation and still had to wait due to the hostess letting walk-ins go ahead of us. When we was finally called we had to stand at the hostess booth for awhile and in front of us they argued over who was going to seat us, they cussed and then went and got a white waitress to seat us. (We're also white) so they made it feel really racist that they didn't want to do their job and had to go fetch someone else.. our waitress was the best, very polite which was a relief after the way we was treated up front. We chose to order takeout it was a terrible decision. Not sure if they treat take out food and dine in food differently but this is by far the worst food I've ever eaten from roadhouse. We got our food 5 minutes after it said it was ready and it only took 9 minutes for us to get back to the hotel. The only reason we chose to take out was because of the absurdly long wait time which is usual with Saturday nights. So this food is only 14 minutes from being cooked. Food was thrown in the containers with no organization. Looked very sloppy. I got the Dallas filet which I've never been disappointed with, rattlesnake bites which are our favorite, and the wife got pulled pork dinner. The pulled pork was good as it usually is, but the steak was cold and completely bland. No flavor and for a filet it was tough. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked to that. Rattlesnake bites tasted as if they were not even fried. Or they had been sitting for an hour atleast. Couldn't even eat a whole one. Tasted raw. Very disappointed. The food here is always good. Bread and butter combo is the best in any restaurant, hands down. We went in tonight for our anniversary dinner. The wait was 25 minutes, which is not bad at all. However, we sat in the waiting area during this time. We spent the entire 25 minutes thoroughly disgusted by the ceiling fan, which was hanging above us. It looks like they have not dusted it since the restaurant opened (pictures included). The dust looks to be 1-2 inches thick on every blade of he fan. I was here yesterday. I love the food here. I typically order the All-American cheeseburger or I'll have the steak with vegetable sides. The steaks have always been tender and flavorful and I love that they give you A1 steak sauce upon request. I also enjoy their Caesar salad and the cactus blossom and the sauce. And let's not forget about the rolls and the cinnamon butter. YUM! My only food gripe is that I would prefer to have sliced pickles on my burger. The pickle spears just don't cut it. However this recent visit was a bit of a downer. We had to wait 20 before being seated, but that's not the issue. I don't mind waiting a bit. The issue is that when we were seated the area where we were placed was not clean. Because of the complimentary peanuts I would expect some peanut shells lying around but this time it was food on the floor; a half eaten sandwich, fries. Since the high chair was still there I assume it was a young child flinging his food around. However I would have liked for the area to have been cleaned before we were seated.
