I ordered a cheeseburger that came without cheese. The patty was broken into 3 pieces, and the bun was soggy. My bone-in rib I was done perfectly it was tender flavorful and succulent. The other guests of my party we're also pleased with their amazingly tender sirloin steaks. So Yelp keeps prompting me to write a review for my check-in here, and even though this was months ago, my service was so good, I still remember it. This is your typical casual American steakhouse. I ate here with my mother before I incorporated red meat back into my diet, so I can't speak on their steaks. My mother and I are super picky eaters on non-cheat days, so we ventured off the menu and ordered grilled chicken, steamed broccoli with no butter, and plain sweet potatoes. Despite how strange our orders were, our server was super friendly and super competent. Everything came out perfectly and was delicious. Come here a lot but when I came here last night the place was packed (wall to wall standing) and the hostess were pushing people out into the cold all the keep their on deck bench open. No one was allowed to sit down or stand in front of this particular bench. If you were caught standing in front of or sitting on this bench you got told to move when there was no where else to move. I really like their food but I think it's slightly CRAZY that they seat families with babies in booths. Babies who have car seat carriers. Their solution, to flip their high chair/booster seat, wedge it into the booth seat and but in infant carrier on top of the bottom the booster? (If that makes sense) the bottoms of the booster/chair that was just previously on the floor. Not safe! I was so confused when I asked the waitress how to set the baby down safely she said "I don't know I've never had a baby". Food was okay, but there were a few things I wasn't crazy about. - my wife's steak was over done (ordered medium and it had a THICK hard crust charred on top)... - got the fattiest piece of prime rib I've ever been served. I realize this goes along with ordering prime rib, but this was extreme - my daughter ordered a caesar salad with chicken as her entree and recieved a regular chicken salad. Stayed nearby on Lyra rd and were very excited that a Texas Roadhouse was within walking distance of our hotel. Walked in, asked for a table for two and were immediately seated. Received a basket of rolls with cinnamon butter(soooo good!) and then the waitress came and got a drink and food order and brought another basket of rolls. My daughter ordered a lemon herb chicken breast and I ordered the chicken critters. We each had salad as Texas Roadhouse has THE BEST ranch dressing. Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite spots to eat. They bring warm rolls, butter, and peanuts to snack on. Our appetizer was a cactus blossom which is very good but can be a little large for 2 people. For $10.99 I got a sirloin steak, fresh vegetables, and loaded steak fries which was delicious; but I must say my favorite part was the $4 peach margarita (half off on Thursdays) that I had. About the best steakhouse you'll get for casual dining in Columbus. And by casual I mean the place you go wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and don't expect to pay $100 per person. This place has a few tvs if you want to watch some sports in the background and the help is very friendly. I've eaten here about 5 or 6 times and each time the server is very friendly and very attentive. The steaks are also always cooked exactly how I like them (medium rare). They do keep kind of weird hours though so be aware. For example in December they open for lunch but otherwise they are not open for lunch. And they close a bit early, 10pm during the week. I'm happy to say though our recent dining adventure did go a bit late and they were cool with it. You must try the Chicken Critters - they're so good! But the ribs are so tender, so perfectly smoked, and so perfectly sauced, that we've been back twice (and gotten takeout once) in the last month just to order them. We've even ordered extra just to take home for later, and they reheat really well. One note: This location tends to be pretty busy, and sometimes getting their food to go is a better option. I started to cut it up. I got the 12oz NY strip. it had a ton of gristle. I've not ever had a steak like that there. however I proceeded to eat around it. I got to about my 5th piece as I cut it up. on this piece it was a little black I assumed just the fat however it was so awful it actuated my gag reflex and I about vomitted. I spit it out on my plate then had to spit in the napkin trying to get the taste out I tried several ways to remove the taste. mybwaitress was very apologetic. the manager seemed like it was an issue though he said it was fine he'd remove it sorry I had a problem asked if I wanted something else in a very curt manner and I declined. kind of feel like more serenity would've been nice. it kind of tasted like soap or chemicals but I guess eating SOOT would be a better description. flash cooked oil on steak caught fire on the grill causing actually soot on my new York strip. idk if I can ever go back. that is a taste that still am hour later I can't get rid of. read more

They do offer the sirloin on lunch special however, it is not on their quick menu as it does take 13-15 minutes to cook. Great place to come if you have an hour for lunch. I havent been here in awhile but its was just ok me and the wife order the 10oz ribeye and the rib combo. We each had a salad and loaded steak fries as our sides. My wife order her steak medium and it came out medium well close to well done. I order mines medium well and it came out well done. On the plus side the steaks were seasoned properly and our waitress was good she kept the refills flowing and checked on us frequently. I enjoyed the hot rolls and cinnamon butter, and to me i think they have one of the best house salad. In conclusion our visit was little disappointing because our steaks were not cook as we requested we expect more from a restaurant that specialize in meats. read more
