Visited while on vacation in early June. We had seen an ad and saw a copy of the menu and thought it would be worth a try. The place was busy at 6pm and full of tourists and locals. Many of the wait staff seemed to know the locals. We began with a bucket of peanuts which we shelled while waiting for dinner. The manager visited us and was friendly and welcoming. The food was good. I had the pulled pork and chicken combo plate. The food was tasty for chain steakhouse. Salads were also good and as expected. We were too full for dessert. I've never eaten at a Texas Roadhouse before but they won me over with the 1st try. The bread was hot, the butter was a sweet and 99% of the staff have a good attitude and make you feel welcome. The steak was good, they don't skimp on the onions or mushrooms. Steak knife that actually works. Ceasar salads are not their forte but everything else was good. Good atmosphere and plenty of parking even with a large crowd. In a word I'd say "satisfied", if you look at how few 5 stars I give out or even 4 stars, you can trust me that this is the place to go on the Space Coast. We ate here tonight for their "kids night". This has always been $1.99 kids meals when an adult is purchasing an entree. Well, apparently they have quietly stopped this offer, although everything else is the same (balloon animals, face painting, etc). We were blindsided by the full price switch at bill time tonight. I asked the manager when it changed and she said they removed the kids night price when they moved the location down the street in December. My wife and I thought this was the best steak restaurant we have been to in a very long time! The ranch dressing was home made and delicious! The Steaks were fabulous! My wife had a ribeye and I had a filet mignon and they were absolutely awesome. I am taking her there tonight for her birthday. Excellent food, excellent service, great price - what more could you ask for? The prime rib is delicious.The burgers were also delicious. I've never seen a grilled chicken salad with so much chicken. The bread is also delicious/addictive. They are happy to bring you more baskets if you decide to eat an entire basket yourself. The service was outstanding. The restaurant has outdoor seating first come first serve. On a Sunday night in April, the weather is fantastic and you can still feel the breeze from the intercostal. This restaurant is on the favorites list for my parents but I cannot really say that I will be seeking out these places. As we enter the foyer there is a large barrel of peanuts and some benches and yes, you can peel and eat them on the spot then toss the shell on the floor. This is probably not a hit with the staff but perfectly ok. The restaurant seemed overly noisy. We ate ribs, steaks, and chicken for the kids. The food was ok and prepared as requested. They were alright, but nothing spectacular. The service was ok, but we had to train her to check our drinks. Beer on tap. Overall, you know what you are getting into in a chain restaurant and you are very unlikely to have any surprises, good or bad. The service was alright and the prices are competitive. read more

Got the 6 oz. steak on the early bird special before 6p, and for the steak + 2 sides, it was a solid deal. Top that off with Wednesday nite margaritas under $1.50, and it was an even better value. Good flavor in the meat - simply grilled, but high quality. I asked for my veggies withOUT butter, and they were oily as heck, but the waitress was nice and promised she put them in as 'dry.' I don't think the cook listened, but she offered to swap them out for something else. Even without the early bird special, meals here are very reasonably priced, and they serve complimentary peanuts and buttery rolls. Glad I came! read more

Came in on a whim when it turned out our first yelp choice was closed already. Didn't know this place was a yelp favorite... Upon walking in the first thing I noticed was peanut shells all over the floor. That should be enough to tell you if you will enjoy your meal right off. I personally am fine with "character" and the free bucket of peanut appetizer on the table is always appreciated. We started off with deep fried pickles (something I have only seen at fairs and nevere tried) and they were surprisingly good! Crispy and hot a GENEROUS basket of salty breaded pickle slices with a mayo based dipping sauce is something I think everyone should try at least once. Of note, I am a big eater and this basket easily servers 4. I stupidly did not have a steak (what was I thinking?) but did have a very good, juicy roast half chicken with loaded mash potatos. Chicken was tasty if a bit salty and pouring juices, skin was shy of crispy but delicious all the same. The potatoes came loaded with real bacon bits, cheese and sour cream. A very popular place in the area. Always packed but they seem to get you in fairly quick. A bucket of peanuts and some fresh baked rolls with cinnamon butter to start, shortly after you are seated. Soooo.. I was really hoping that the new location would have worked out some of the disgusting things about the old location. Well the only thing they fixed is it doesn't smell like an old building anymore. Service was still awful, slow and she looked like she hadn't slept in a few days. To make matters worse, My steak was super well done and they tried to bring me the same steak when I told them. But after they "recooked" it, it was still sliced on the underside from where I checked it. Our sides were also cold. The entire experience was overpriced and an annoyance from start to finish. We only tried it again bc of the new location but it's still the same old crappy chain restaurant. The rolls were good. But not good enough to give them another chance. read more

Didn't know anyone around here made chicken-fried steak(CFS) from scratch, until now... I was still bemoaning my NYD breakfast at Cracker Barrel (see Cracker Barrel review) where they served me a "formed" chicken-fried steak (CFS), like most places do any more, economics. I could understand Denny's but I didn't think CB would. I went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch the other day and saw they had a CFS and ordered it. It was a real sirloin steak pounded, battered and fried, made from scratch the Texas way. Really good have missed a real CFS since I left Texas. Choice of white or brown gravy. You eat CFS with white gravy. I had a Caesar salad, a baked potato, a meal by itself, and unsweetened tea. Meal came with complimentary delicious buttered hot yeast rolls. Excellent meal and prompt service. My table mate had the pulled pork plate with salad and green beans and said it was great. Previously I ate there with my brother on Veteran's Day. That was also a great meal but so many vets to serve hard to keep food hot from kitchen to your table, my only complaint. They were slightly overwhelmed. It was really nice of them to give back with a great dinner, appreciated. read more

In the last 10 years or so the Texas Roadhouse has been on of my favorite restaurants with the only drawback being the long wait to get in. Recently however, the Roadhouse has moved. 1. The place is bigger but the wait to be seated is the same. 2. Acoustics are worse and the noise is unsettling. 3. Food preparation (steak) has declined. I have been 3 times since the move. Twice, I ordered my favorite...Prime Rib. It has been precooked and then was seared on a grill on the bottom either to reheat it or to make it medium. It was a big disappointment. On my third time, I asked the waitress about it and she tried to argue me out of what I had seen, saying it never happens. So I ordered a ribeye-medium. Once again dry and over cooked. My wife ordered the Sirloin and each time it was perfect. For me 3 bad steaks in a row is telling. Others in our party has also been disappointed on the 3 recent visits. We have now decided to wait about 6-9 months before we return and maybe they will work out the kinks. If you do go my recommendations are- a.) order the sirloin and b.) don't get seated on the row by the bar and on the pathway directly into the kitchen. It's a bit like having dinner on the shoulder of I95. read more

Lots of booths, dark decor, country music piped in. I understand Willie Nelson is a part owner. Not a fan of his, but I listened to his "Hard Times" , and it was hard not to shed a few tears. He's lived everything he sings about, IMHO. Anyway, the service in this joint is very, very good. I snagged a booth near the bar, and the wait person was the bartender. After a couple of her (cheap!) Margaritas, I staggered out the wheelchair ramp (no, I wasn't driving). And I'm a big guy. I do like their steaks and sides ; also recommend a nice cup o' chili. Medium is really "medium rare", at least on the day I was there. To Whom It May Concern: This is the first review that I have ever written, but I must respond to the horrible way that I was treated last night as I took my family to the Texas Road House on Eau Gallie Blvd in Indiatlantic, FL. I have been a satisfied customer of Texas Road House for years, until last night. Years ago, I was issued a Texas Road House card that entitled me to receive 10% off my meals there. On the back of the card it clearly said "PERMANENT 10% OFF". I have used the card many times in the past with no problem at all. Last night, after our meal, the server gave me the bill. I gave him my credit card and the 10% off card. The server returned to our table and said that the manger - Mr. James Kok - told him that the 10% off card would not be honored. Further, one of the other managers came to our table and said that my card had been torn in half and that it would not be returned to me. And there is nothing that anyone can do about it. That 10% off card was given to me years ago, it belonged to ME and the current manager - Mr. James Kok - had no right to destroy it and not return it to me. It is not the money, but the principle of the matter and how I was treated that has made me really upset. Mr. Kok - your actions have lost you a loyal customer as I and my family will never be back. Was seated and did not receive silverware. Had to go get it myself. Steak was ordered with barbecue sauce on the side. After a long wait the steak arrive without barbecue sauce. Asked for barbecue sauce again, no dice. Manager then came by and said they ran out out of barbecue sauce but then said it would be there in 2 minutes. Ten minutes later, after the family was done eating (approx 30 after the food arrived) the barbecue sauce arrived. Steak was now cold. Got $10 dollar comp on a $80 bill. Back in October 2014, we came here after our wedding. My in-laws had called prior to our visit to let them know we would have approximately 30 people in attendance because this was our restaurant of choice for our reception. We wanted a fun environment that made everyone comfortable. The manager ensured us that they would be able to provide us with a table suitable for our needs.
