ENOUGH! The hostess ignored several guests ahead of us as she chatted with another employee about what they had planned later that day. When she finally decided to do her job, the smile went away, no "hello", just, "how many?" Everyone waiting knows she can smile. She was doing plenty of it with her friend. It must not be her happy place. After being seated our waiter didn't smile, introduce himself, just asked what we wanted to drink. He did do his job, and got us our food. The FOOD! Pretty good place for a chain restaurant. Came in on Saturday evening time. Placed was way packed then expected. long lines already forming. I only had to wait around 10 mins. So was not too bad. They give you a buzzer to notify you. Once called, you make your way in, and you can see the person leading you to table with a basket of bread in hand. warm, fresh, and so Delicious with that butter cinnamon!!! So after sitting down, serve came out. Nice and friendly. Very attentive throughout my time there. I ordered: half rack of ribs and a side of Caesar salad and house salad with Italian dressing. Had the Caesar as a mini appetizer. Ribs came out around 10 mins later. Pretty fast. Ribs: Done pretty good. Not dry, but were some inconsistency in terms of moistness on the rib, but overall decent for a chain place. I did ask for a side of BBQ sauce. Do wish they have a spicy bbq sauce though. caesar salad: as expected and nothing more to say House salad: appears to have more "stuff" in the salad, Italian dressing was fine. Big parking lot outside. Restroom is located on other side of inside. Clean. Atmosphere: they do birthday celebration chants of YEEEEHAAW the entire time. also had a mini line dance show thrown in. Today being Veteran's Day, I decided to try Texas Roadhouse, which I had yet to visit since moving, here almost a year ago. I thought they might have a Veteran's Day discount or a special, but didn't know for sure. To my surprise, they did not merely offer a slight discount, but offered full meals for free instead. What a nice surprise. So I got the pork chop with chili and mixed vegetables for sides. As I was shown to my table, I was given hot rolls, which seemed like they were fresh out of the oven, with cinnamon flavored butter. I don't usually have dessert, but since they gave me a free meal, I figured I should at least order that. I got a large slice of hot apple pie ala mode. Just made a trip to the Texas Roadhouse for what I expected to be a average chain restaurant steak. I was very surprised how great my Ribeye was. One of the better steaks I've had. Although the place is packed, a bit crowded and noisy, the food and service was excellent! The hostess Talia, our server Jade were both great as was the other support team. Prices are great! Still the only location we'll go to. Being a chain restaurant, you would expect the food to be consistent amongst different locations but that's not the case. We've gone to the Gilbert and Tempe locations and got horrible food. This location is a bit of a drive for us but we don't mind because we know every time we come, we'll leave satisfied. The food was very good. We had a combo app and cactus blossom. Everything was good other than the blossom sauce which just didn't quite have the right texture or taste. Maybe it was just a bad batch but I'm not like Patricia who complains that a HUGE pickle on the plate and sent it back. What an absurd argument - probably more of the "let's see what we can get for free" type table. Overall, service was on point, food was very good, and manager did a table touch to ensure everything was going well. My family and I have been going to Texas Roadhouse for many years, at several different locations. This location is the closest to our house, so we went to this location the most. I went there on Saturday December 2, at 4:00 pm, sat at the bar ordered a porter house steak, baked potato and Cesar salad. The baked potato and salad were perfect, the steak was ordered as a medium. After eating a few bites I realized what was wrong with the steak. The outside tasted like it went through a house fire, while the inside was a perfect medium. Maybe the cook don't know how to cook a proper steak. It's not supposed to be torched for 4 minutes on each side. This was the worst birthday meal I have ever had. Thanks for ruining my 60th. Pretty much failed across the board. Our server did not see the cringe on our faces when he hit us with that Bennigans cheeseball routine. Joaquin, his trainer, dropped the ball forever. All 5 of our orders had mistakes, and things had to be sent back in multiple cases. I worked in kitchens and as a server for a decade, so I understand the move to blame your mistakes on the kitchen. However, it's not okay to claim the kitchen is, "messed up in the head" when your trainee fails and you fail to help him in any way. Specifically asked for a non-end-cut prime rib, got an end cut, and then it was replaced with and end cut with the butt barely cut off, dry as a bone. Food came out in bad order, and we had to ask for things multiple times. Slow night. Unacceptable. Never coming back again. Used to be a huge fan. The cinnamon butter is creamy yet light and whipped to fluffy goodness. It looks like ice-cream and nearly tastes like ice-cream. Let's be honest, might as well eat it with a spoon and then bite the bread. Oh yeah, they have entrees here too. So if you do come here for the actual food, the steaks always taste good and are cooked right. Of course they have other things like chicken and ribs, but The sides are kind of basic, but I can't complain because they always tastes good and cooked well. There's Corn, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, fried zucchini other stuff to increase your blood pressure. I felt my cholesterol go up after I took my last bite of food. This place always seems to be pretty busy so make sure you get there ahead of time if you have a large group. Service was great! Our staff brought extra drinks without having to ask...which is always a plus. Place was alive, love it. The only downside is their dinner rolls. Steak tenderness seems to be hit or miss, but it's usually pretty good. Sides are always excellent as is the service. This is a favorite for a causal steak dinner and also a spot where you can fill up on salad and appetizers and still be satisfied. I am not one to leave reviews but Texas Rhode house has gone DOWNHILL. I'm not going to list out all the things wrong with my visit this time but instead just focus on the biggest most consistent problem. I like my steak medium rare. to me that means a nice pink center. not light pink but also not dark red. I have learned here to not order medium rare because they will serve it to you raw but even now medium isn't cutting it. Just ordered my steak medium and my fiancé ordered his medium well- his came out medium rare and mine rare. Last time I was fed up and politely pointed it out and they took it back to cook it more. I don't know what the cooks did to it back there but it came out inedible. That being said this time I didn't even bother sending it back. I always pass by Texas Roadhouse when I get off the highway and I'm glad I was finally able to try them out! First let me start by saying they do not present the food nicely to you as in the plating is nothing special, very basic, BUT the food is delicious! I can see why they get so busy. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated on a Sunday night. I had the 10 oz prime rib medium, which I usually prefer medium rare but out server stated that because they were so busy that night and it was later in the night that the lightest cut she could do was the medium. This didn't bother me much. The 10 oz ended up being plenty of food for me, I originally didn't think it would be enough food, but I ended up not even being able to finish my portion! My two sides were the steamed vegetables, which weren't anything special, but I needed some vegetables in my life and chili, which was really good! I use to go on every payday. Now I'm just sad to seen them drop to Apple bees levels. They sat this cowboy back in a corner at a dirty table and the floor was trashed. I told her about the last few times they undercooked my steak or overcooked it . I asked for medium rare steak with broccoli and sweet potato . Simple enough right! The steak comes out still raw on the inside, I mean real raw and cold to the touch . Broccoli was hard as a rock so it was undercooked and the sweet potato was tough and undercooked and cold . They took it back for a redue. NOPE, they just reheated on the grill the broccoli so it's shriveled up and tasted burnt with the grill marks . Sweet potato was okay but missing brown sugar and butter . The steak was reheated and tasted like they dumped salt on it . That was intentional. I figured talking to the manager won't do squat so I paid and left, went to Fry's and got two 1 1/2" ribeye steaks and cooked at home with my own sweet potatoes and asparagus. ​Medium rare perfection and cinnamon apple butter on my sweet potato came out so hot I had to wait 30 minutes to take a bite. Worth Ribeye Medium Rare, the first steak was probably a half inch thick, which make sense as to why they overcooked it. Steak came out Well. Placed an online order get confirmation and it states order ready at 4:51. I never go by those so since the location was next to Walmart and I needed to pick up a couple items I stoped there first. Get to Texas Roadhouse and there is NO TO GO parking. So luckily I was able to find a spot not to far from the to go area. Get there and stand in the 110° Arizona Sun for 10 minutes and knock on the window twice and no even acknowledged me as two works walk by. I then step inside and speak to a manager. She was very nice and went and checked on my order which was ready. So I take my order and as I am headed out to my car I am thinking this order don't feel right. So upon checking I am missing the 1/2 Dz rolls ($2.49 extra charge) w/ honey cinnamon butter, and more Honey Cinnamon Butter ($1.99 extra charge. Look in the extra bag she brought out and it only has 6 1oz containers of the butter. NO EXTRA AT ALL. I have started to notice these restaurants want to charge for every little thing to compensate for the higher wages, but it seems the workers and at times the management has become dumber. This is uncalled for and is considered theft and fraud when you leave out paid items. read more

Ate at Texas Roadhouse tonight. Wednesday 9pm the place is still packed and very noisy. We thought it we went mid week last it wouldn't be as load.But that's kind of part of the ambiance of the place. I don't mind it but my wife has a brain injury. But we knew going there to expect that. We had a nice server. We got bread when we sat down, which was warm and you know the honey butter is amazing. No peanuts anymore but I asked the server about them, and she brought me a bag. So obviously, you can tell I have been here a few times in the past. Salads came right out. I forgot how good the salad it with the egg and cheese. I swear they have the best ranch, which comes on the side. I appreciated that because the little cup was full, so I had plenty of dressing for my salad. I ate at Bobby-Q last week, and there was basically no dressing on their $12 salad. Our meal came out we ordered a medium well ribeye. It was more like medium rare. I get it. Most people like their steak that way but I don't. I don't like any pink. These things happen a lot, which is why I don't like ordering steak in restaurants. The server took a while to come back and check on us after we got our food. When she set it down, I almost asked her to wait while I cut into it because it looked undercooked to my untrained eye. I would say 5 minutes she came back. I appreciate she checked on us. It was busy, and it wouldn't have seemed like a long time if we didn't want it cooked some more. It took a while longer but it came back and it looked better. But again, when we cut it in half again, it was still really pink. I ate around the pink stuff. With my cold potatoes and cold corn. I will add that the mashed potatoes and corn both very good when they came to the table when they were fresh and hot. So I sent the steak back a second time. My wife ate hers. She isn't as picky as I am. Unfortunately, by the time we got home she said she had an upset stomach. Second time the little piece left was cooked perfectly and tasted great. But not great with the cold sides. Okay it happens it's late and a long day and it was busy. The reason I'm writing this review is hoping the leadership sees it and fixes things. The manager gave us a 10 percent discount on our meal. We didn't ask for a discount we did eat the meal. But I feel insulted. It wasn't 10 percent ruined. I wouldn't say it was 100% ruined, because I enjoyed the time there with my wife. But like I said above, we got home and she was sick. On the way out I asked the manager why she thought 10 percent was sufficient. I wanted her to understand that the meal was ruined and that was an insult. She didn't have a reason. I asked 3 times three different ways before I walked out. I don't think she cared. She might think it's acceptable to serve rare meat to guests. A lot of people like it that way. She might think it's ok to return the meat with cold sides. I don't know but I'm sure we aren't the only ones who have had this issue. Eventually, it will catch up with Texas Road House. Once the novelty of being able to eat out again after covid isn't as exciting and customers get tired of high prices raised because of inflation and lack of care, they will stop going out. Like I said I enjoyed being able to go out tonight with my wife. I'm insulted with a 10 percent discount. Just skip the discount The $3 can't even buy a cup of coffee. Give the cook $3 extra maybe he will care about doing his job properly. In the end, the manager refunded our payment to make it right. It dawned on me that maybe the manager gave us a 10 percent discount because that is what she was instructed to do. If that is the policy, I suggest just skipping the discount entirely. I have been to this particular restaurant probably two or three dozen times over the years. And twice that number to the chain overall. It's probably going to be a while until I go back, even with the free meal in the end. I leave this review to send a message to the corporate office to fix the policy.
