Ate at Texas Roadhouse tonight. Wednesday 9pm the place is still packed and very noisy. We thought it we went mid week last it wouldn't be as load.But that's kind of part of the ambiance of the place. I don't mind it but my wife has a brain injury. But we knew going there to expect that. We had a nice server. We got bread when we sat down, which was warm and you know the honey butter is amazing. No peanuts anymore but I asked the server about them, and she brought me a bag. So obviously, you can tell I have been here a few times in the past. Salads came right out. I forgot how good the salad it with the egg and cheese. I swear they have the best ranch, which comes on the side. I appreciated that because the little cup was full, so I had plenty of dressing for my salad. I ate at Bobby-Q last week, and there was basically no dressing on their $12 salad. Our meal came out we ordered a medium well ribeye. It was more like medium rare. I get it. Most people like their steak that way but I don't. I don't like any pink. These things happen a lot, which is why I don't like ordering steak in restaurants. The server took a while to come back and check on us after we got our food. When she set it down, I almost asked her to wait while I cut into it because it looked undercooked to my untrained eye. I would say 5 minutes she came back. I appreciate she checked on us. It was busy, and it wouldn't have seemed like a long time if we didn't want it cooked some more. It took a while longer but it came back and it looked better. But again, when we cut it in half again, it was still really pink. I ate around the pink stuff. With my cold potatoes and cold corn. I will add that the mashed potatoes and corn both very good when they came to the table when they were fresh and hot. So I sent the steak back a second time. My wife ate hers. She isn't as picky as I am. Unfortunately, by the time we got home she said she had an upset stomach. Second time the little piece left was cooked perfectly and tasted great. But not great with the cold sides. Okay it happens it's late and a long day and it was busy. The reason I'm writing this review is hoping the leadership sees it and fixes things. The manager gave us a 10 percent discount on our meal. We didn't ask for a discount we did eat the meal. But I feel insulted. It wasn't 10 percent ruined. I wouldn't say it was 100% ruined, because I enjoyed the time there with my wife. But like I said above, we got home and she was sick. On the way out I asked the manager why she thought 10 percent was sufficient. I wanted her to understand that the meal was ruined and that was an insult. She didn't have a reason. I asked 3 times three different ways before I walked out. I don't think she cared. She might think it's acceptable to serve rare meat to guests. A lot of people like it that way. She might think it's ok to return the meat with cold sides. I don't know but I'm sure we aren't the only ones who have had this issue. Eventually, it will catch up with Texas Road House. Once the novelty of being able to eat out again after covid isn't as exciting and customers get tired of high prices raised because of inflation and lack of care, they will stop going out. Like I said I enjoyed being able to go out tonight with my wife. I'm insulted with a 10 percent discount. Just skip the discount The $3 can't even buy a cup of coffee. Give the cook $3 extra maybe he will care about doing his job properly. In the end, the manager refunded our payment to make it right. It dawned on me that maybe the manager gave us a 10 percent discount because that is what she was instructed to do. If that is the policy, I suggest just skipping the discount entirely. I have been to this particular restaurant probably two or three dozen times over the years. And twice that number to the chain overall. It's probably going to be a while until I go back, even with the free meal in the end. I leave this review to send a message to the corporate office to fix the policy. Because like I said sometime in the near future America will be in a recession, and you won't be as busy, and loyal customers like my family won't care to visit you. read more

I am not one to leave reviews but Texas Rhode house has gone DOWNHILL. I'm not going to list out all the things wrong with my visit this time but instead just focus on the biggest most consistent problem. I like my steak medium rare. to me that means a nice pink center. not light pink but also not dark red. I have learned here to not order medium rare because they will serve it to you raw but even now medium isn't cutting it. Just ordered my steak medium and my fiancé ordered his medium well- his came out medium rare and mine rare. Last time I was fed up and politely pointed it out and they took it back to cook it more. I don't know what the cooks did to it back there but it came out inedible. That being said this time I didn't even bother sending it back. I will not be returning as I am paying a lot to have a flavorless raw meat that I don't even eat half of. read more

On August 7th, my family and I went to dinner at this location and received great service along with very good food. Our kids got the Dino steak bites, I got the 8oz New York strip and my husband got the 12oz New York strip. Our bill was brought to us and it was $64.96. We left what we thought was a reasonable tip of $25 cash, only to find that our card was charged for $72.96. We called the establishment and was told a more senior manager would have to refund us the money, but gave us no information on why our card was charged the extra money. I expect an explanation for why we were charged additional money without our consent and what it was for. read more

So many things went wrong here. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium well and it came back raw the first time. Mine came back pink as well and I asked for well done. No big deal, things happen, so we kindly asked for them to put it back on the grill and a new steak wasn't necessary. They brought both back and mine was basically burnt. I couldn't even finish it because it tasted like char. His came back raw again, the picture is attached, which is clearly not medium well. AND we found two pieces of glass in his shrimp. He had already eaten two by the time he found it. Although the manger did remove this off our bill, she mentioned this has happened before. This makes me question if this is a reoccurring issue at this establishment. Not to mention, glass was broken around us by the employees a total of 4 times throughout the night. No wonder we found it in our food, they are obviously careless. If I could give zero starts I would. read more

Apart from the fact that they've forgotten potatoes or the right dipping sauce once or twice, it's never been that bad before. Got sat in their add on room with no AC. In the middle of July in AZ of all places. Makes you lose your appetite. That room is also crawling with ants which you can see they spray for but clearly leave the dead ants all over the window sill. Ants were crawling on our table, on the back of the booth and on us. Also ants in the salt shaker that they must not clean out regularly. Server was good but manager asked how things were and we complained about the heat and she just said that they probably should shut that room down because the AC is out but that some people will sit so they keep it open. We only sat because that's where we were sat and they were busy. Not even an offer for a discount or anything. Won't be returning to this location sadly. read more

It was Friday before Christmas and all through the house; not a person was cooking, so we headed on out! We were in the mood for some ribs and fix'ins, and only Texas ribs would do. If you've been to Tex-ass, you know what I mean. One of those full racks of ribs, or pull pork meals. Gooo-dd! Short of twelve hours on US Highway 10, we decided to go to Mesa instead. Our choices was Logan's Roadhouse, Famous Dave's or Texas Roadhouse; we decided to come here since it's been awhile. What can I say, some things never change and TR is real good at filing a craving. As I said in my tip, the wait time on a Friday night before Christmas was short, only seventeen minutes. They have nice little setup where one of their two managers has a headset connected with the bus'ers. So, as one customer leaves, the table is cleared in seconds. My guess is fifteen seconds, tops! Beauty in action. The three of us ordered: the Pulled Pork Dinner for $9.49; the Chicken Tenders dinner with biscuit gravy for $9.99; the Full Slab of Ribs for $17.49 and a whole bunch of sides that came with the dinner. The only extra is what I call the cardiac arrest, Loaded Steak Fries. It was topped with cheese and bacon, a $0.99 up charge. Lemonade and pop ran us $2.39 each. The music was loud, the food was okay and it hit the spot. One of the fun things about Texas Roadhouse is how the wait staff does some line dancing every 30/45 minutes, or so. It's fun to watch, but none of the customers near the bar joined in. Our server Megan and the rest of the staff kept all our drinks filled and tag-teamed our table with biscuits and services. We thought the bill for three of $45.63, was about right before tip and taxes. We do not get down this way much, but we'll be back. read more

I want this to be my favorite steak place. We have eaten here 4 or 5 times. I always get the hand cut Porterhouse and Hubby gets the amazing Ribeye. I order mine medium rare and so does Hubby. Mine gets delivered medium and medium well the last 3 times. I sent it back the second time but I really dislike sending food back. I just don't get it. Hubbys steak is always perfect but mine is 'meh. Next time I guess I will just order the ribeye and see what happens. The service here is very good and the food is all hot, not just the steak. This is a great value for the money and other than the rigamarole of call ahead seating, it's been the best place we have eaten at since the whole covid ordeal. I use to go on every payday. Now I'm just sad to seen them drop to Apple bees levels. They sat this cowboy back in a corner at a dirty table and the floor was trashed. I told her about the last few times they undercooked my steak or overcooked it . I asked for medium rare steak with broccoli and sweet potato . Simple enough right! The steak comes out still raw on the inside, I mean real raw and cold to the touch . Broccoli was hard as a rock so it was undercooked and the sweet potato was tough and undercooked and cold . They took it back for a redue. NOPE, they just reheated on the grill the broccoli so it's shriveled up and tasted burnt with the grill marks . Sweet potato was okay but missing brown sugar and butter . The steak was reheated and tasted like they dumped salt on it . That was intentional. I figured talking to the manager won't do squat so I paid and left, went to Fry's and got two 1 1/2" ribeye steaks and cooked at home with my own sweet potatoes and asparagus. ​Medium rare perfection and cinnamon apple butter on my sweet potato came out so hot I had to wait 30 minutes to take a bite. No more Texas Road kill getting my hard earned cash. read more

Party of 4... we went in for an early dinner. This was the first visit for everyone in our party. We were happy to see they had an early dinner menu and 3 of us ordered off of it. The servings were large. We had the fried pickle appetizer which I would get again. Everything we ordered was good from steak to ribs and pulled pork. There are many sides to choose from including baked potato, apple sauce, chili beans, green beans, and corn + (more)... It was super busy; probably because they have the early dinner menu BUT the service did NOT disappoint. Our server was awesome! We waited about 20 minutes to be be seated for a party of two, but hey, it's Texas Roadhouse, I could've waited another 20 minutes! The food was great as it always is! The steaks are flavorful, the sides are delicious, and the atmosphere is that of being in a country type of club. (It can be pretty loud in hurr) The music of course is country and they play all the new hits! Oh yes! The rolls here are to die for! I wrote a review about this specific restaurant 5 years ago. Here's the update on trying to eat here after 5 years......My family of 13 and I just left the restaurant on Stapley and Baseline without even getting to order meals. For one, we ordered appetizers and asked 4 different servers for ranch and for nothing but rolling eyes and sharp remarks. Second, we've been going to Texas Roadhouse for years ( albeit other locations.) We've never had an issue with my mother getting a glass cup for her iced tea instead of a plastic one. This time however the servers and manager were in a rage over it. Both saying how the restaurant could get shut down for having a non-alcoholic beverage in a glass meant for alcoholic drinks. Like I said above, we've been coming to Texas Roadhouse for years and never had an issue. We were a big party I understand the frustration with that. But I felt as though they were actually trying to drive us out. Making us feel as though it was wrong to ask for accommodations such as a high chair or glass cup for my mothers iced tea. Making us feel like a nuisance for asking for ranch we had to ask 4 servers for. We left after paying for the appetizers and drinks we ordered. But my family of 13 and I will not be frequenting this establishment until they learn that the customer is first and always right. We were willing to pay good money with our large party to have a good belated Mother's Day outing. But instead was met with complete and utter contempt and disregard. I am completely disgusted at the attitude of the staff and the management of the Texas Roadhouse on stapley and baseline in Mesa. Completely disgusted. read more

Texas Roadhouse is a chain. I used to go to them in Ohio. Recently I tried this one and was very happy. They used to have AYCE salads but have done away with them. They still give you piping hot rolls with cinnamon butter. The steaks are great: good quality and reasonable prices. I think they intend to have regular, repeat customers because of their prices, quality & service. I recommend the Ribeye. read more

Went here on a date on a Friday night. The vibe is fun and lively. The hot fresh homemade buns were amazing. We were in for a very pleasant start. We were disappointed when the food came out as it was only okay. We ordered the prime rib, side slack of ribs, side of corn, mashed potatoes, and blooming onions. Blooming onions were okay. The prime rib and slack of ribs are decent. Nothing special. It does the job. A solid 3.0 stars for the main entrees. Service was a little messy. She kept on messing up our order giving us wrong things we didn't order and forgot to give the sauces we talked about plenty. She was rarely available and waiting for her to come back was really annoying and made mistakes on the bill too. Jeez. read more

We waited 89 minutes to be seated. I kept checking with the hostess, who repeatedly said just 35 minutes, then 19 to 20 minutes, then about 10 minutes and we are just running a little behind. No apology for the wait. Our server was great. When I ordered a medium prime rib I was told that they were out of medium rare but could serve me medium or well done. What! So I ordered another steak which was cooked medium rare and was good. Mac was good, not mushy. Steamed vegetables were a bit bland. I just think it was poorly managed. Tonight we stopped in on a Friday night and the place was packed we used the waitlist service which is awesome and were seated very quickly and our food was served quickly and everyone's meal was excellent. I take my family and I to Texas Roadhouse regularly every week. This is by far the worst service we have ever had. He was more attentive to his other tables. Only brought refills for every one at my table except me. The hostess at the front would not get me a manger. All kept saying is .."I'm sorry about that." I don't want an apology. I want someone to acknowledge that the service was bad and to correct the server. Now I'm going to have to go to a different Texas Roadhouse. read more

We submitted to be put on a waitlist, when we got to the restaurant to check in we were seated after waiting not even 10 minutes, our server was overall sweet, fast, patient and friendly. UPDATED REVIEW . I used the call ahead service and was told 10-20 min wait. I showed up at the 18 minute mark and was told by the hostess named Taylor that would be another 15 min. She was rude and had an attitude on her voice and face expression . Did not appreciate that. The waitress Page was really good and professional It had been a while since i had come here. I called ahead and got a number for. 15 -20min wait. First time I used the call ahead service. I arrived and they sat us within 3 min of our arrival. Initial contact at host station was friendly and cordial with a smile. Our waitress arrived at our table right away with a smile and got our drink order. She returned often to our table to check on us and every time was friendly and professional. I had the salmon which was cooked just perfect for my taste. We usually are big big fans of Texas Roadhouse and came out to Mesa to see friends so we recommended we go to the one by their house. We came after the dinner rush and were told it would be about 15-20 minutes for our party of two families. We waited, and waited, and waited and after about 45 minutes we asked the hostess and she said they were waiting for the "only place to seat us". After another 10 minutes they sat half our party and another 10 minutes after that we all were finally seated. Since we had waited so long we already knew what we wanted to order and put in the order right away. After 20 minutes the food came out and our California Chicken had molded out avocado on it and when we brought it to the waitresses attention she said "what would you like me to do about it?" and offered to scrape it off and bring us fresh avocado. The avocado didn't come in time to accompany the rest of the meal. They were out of several things our party tried to order as well (which is tough to tell kids who have been waiting). Thank goodness there were rolls as that was singular highlight of our experience. read more
