I absolutely and un-ironically adore Texas Roadhouse. Growing up in Virginia, there was a Texas Roadhouse a mere 3 minute drive away from my house; I would constantly nag my parents to go feast on the perfectly priced hunks of meat. Of all the casual sit down restaurants, TXRH is easily the best of all of them - competing even with higher end steakhouses personally due to price. We came here with a large party of 8 and were able to get seated (I used the app), though it was a bit annoying that we had to have our entire party present. Service was extremely fast and friendly; whoever our server was (forgot his name), was incredibly nice and checked up on us on the right times. Food was mouth-wateringly meaty. I usually order the bone-in ribeye or the prime rib, but this time I got the ribeye and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The sides are also always lovely such as the mashed potatoes, caesar salad, chili, and mac'n'cheese. My experience at this location went really well! I appreciate the efficiency of the staff to get me and my partner a table, our waitress was very accommodating too. She made sure to check up on us and our food, very efficient. My partner had ordered a fillet, very well seasoned and cooked correctly, not burnt on the outsides. He enjoyed his food and I ordered a 11oz sirloin (the one in the picture) with grilled mushrooms and onions, very delicious and cooked with care. I appreciate the mashed potatoes request of them plain and the quickness my waitress bringing me the sauce I ordered. I've been to Texas roadhouse several times. Every time I go, we get the same thing.. I order three or four margaritas, steak, potato salad, and appetizer. I was very disappointed today, however with my experience with Texas roadhouse because apparently they have a new rule on how many drinks you can order while you are there.. the manager would not let me order another margarita because it is a family establishment and they put a cap on how many drinks somebody can order while they are there. I've never been to a restaurant that only allows someone so many drinks. It was the weirdest experience I have ever had. Our server felt really bad because of this rule. We stopped in for dinner on our 10th anniversary and are so glad that we did! Texas Roadhouse is our favorite and we hadn't been since well before we moved to the edge of Mesa. I called ahead and got us on the waitlist, texted upon our arrival, and our wait was less than 20 minutes. Our server, Jen, was amazing! She was on top of everything and checked on us regularly. We both had the same meal, a 6 ounce Dallas Fillet with a baked potato and salad. This is more than enough to fill up a person, and we usually have to take some home for another day. Every bite was absolutely delicious, and my taste for steak was definitely satisfied. It is nice to see that they are cleaning and sanitizing regularly, even though there are lots more people out and about now. We were very happy with our visit, our meal, and the service we received. Last 5-6 times steaks are never cooked How we ask. Server is always amazing and trying to help but they always take it back and grill the shit out of it and then it's a rock. Never offer to cook a new steak or do anything to make it right just turn it into a rock to grill it over. Manager is a dick. He has the Attitude of oh well when he comes to check things out bc or food is messed up. I work in the customer service field and have worked in the food industry and this guy is a prick. Even called tonight for a party of 9, on a Thursday at 5 and tried to say they have 400 plus ppl on the waiting list and can't do anything till 8pm! Asked for 2 separate booths but close and said nope I can but you won't even be close. No effort at all! So done w this place and the asshat manager he is! This is a restaurant where people who don't get out much go to feel fancy. If you have any sort of discerning taste, this is probably not the spot for you. The one million signs plastered on the outside of the building was the first clue. The hostesses were rude, and the service sucked. You truly are treated like cattle, herded into your tiny booths and rushed to hurry and order. Forget about talking to each other, it's so loud and chaotic with people running around. Love there steaks and there rolls steak was a perfection. Baked potato with sour cream and cheese. Yum

First, the rolls & butter are amazing, but you need to be careful not to eat too many so you don't spoil your appetite! Next, the Ribs were truly "fall off the bone", meaning when I picked one up the meat would litterally fall off automatically! They were big, meaty, not fatty, and cooked to perfection. I will surely make them my go-to item when I return to this location. We came at 4pm on Saturday thinking that we might beat the croud, but no such luck. This place is always packed, but they do take "Call Ahead" if you think of it. We chose to sit at the bar because there were 2 empty seats, which was fine. The 2 girls tending the bar also took care of the food orders at both the bar and the other nearby tables, and they were both "energizer bunnies" as they never stopped for one moment. They were super efficient, and I was impressed. They deserve great tips for as hard as they work. All in all, a very nice BBQ meal at a fair price. read more

Never a bad time at Texas roadhouse! Of course you begin with the warm rolls and cinnamon butter. It's tough for me to not eat all of them before my dinner even comes to the table. I normally order the California chicken, and appreciate the wide variety of side choices. Typically I go with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, plus the gravy is quite good. We came to Texas Roadhouse last night to use a gift card we've had for years. I haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse in many years and was looking forward to going back. I remember the food being delicious several years ago and fondly remember those delicious rolls with the cinnamon butter! My husband called at about 6:30pm to join the waitlist. The host told us it would be about a 1.5 hour wait. We arrived at 8:00 and stayed in our car until we received the text that we were ready to be seated. I was actually surprised with how quickly we were sat at our table after arriving. Our waitress greeted us shortly after being sat. She was nice. I was somewhat concerned about that after reading through some of the reviews for this particular location. I ordered a Kenny's Cooler with an extra shot and my husband and I decided to split some tater skins. They were huge! Definitely super filling. I was somewhat disappointed in my Kenny's Cooler. Although it was absolutely delicious, I felt as though it wasn't very strong even though I did get the extra shot. For our entrees, I ordered the chicken critters with a Caesar salad and fries and my husband ordered a steak with a Caesar and Mac. We both loved the Caesar salads but we weren't overly impressed with the entrees. In my opinion, I felt as though it really tasted like Chili's or Applebees. Two restaurants I refuse to spend my money at because the quality just isn't there. I will say that the warm rolls and cinnamon butter have stayed true. We received those upon being sat and even got another round after polishing off the first batch! The second one was even better having just come from the oven - mmmm! Had dinner here last night. The food and service was impeccable! We arrived about 3:50 (on a Thursday evening) and were seated right away. It wasn't long before the restaurant was packed. Our service was outstanding. Drinks were replenished before the glass was empty and the food was exactly to order. Shortly after we were seated and drink orders taken, a manager came by to check on us. I appreciated that kind of service. I ordered the 12-ounce cut of prime rib. It had to be bigger than 12-ounces. I brought a good amount home. When we left there was quite a wait. The inside waiting area was full and there a lot of people waiting outside as well. Can't wait to go back. After a short 20 min wait we got our table. Waitress was not very happy but adequate until she either saw the 3 stars for our experience OR she saw the tip. Now the tip was not because a reflexion of her only but of over experience. Meals are expensive and just ok , chicken fried chicken was grisly...but somewhere in the process she became really bad. I asked for a to go for my tea and finally got it and basically threw it on the table and left , and when leaving she stared, with dirty look and shook her head as if she was mad at us. Was excited after moving to find my new closest Texas Roadhouse as I am a frequent customer. Went in after work to be completely discriminated against. I ordered and had three beers to be told a wasn't allowed a fourth just after ordering my dinner. I asked what the problem was and what I did wrong to be told I did nothing but it was company policy. I know that I was lied to as many locations and experiences I have had at these restaurants. Never been made to feel like this in my life. If I was disruptive or causing any problem I would understand but no explanation or respect as I would have been a regular. I hope that the manager feels good about abusing his authority. read more

Its not often I go to a chain like this. Hardly at all actually..... We were in the area and wanted a quick meal. Wait wasn't bad, they quoted about 30 min, and it ended up being 15. We were sat down and greeted by our waitress who was awesome. Her name was McKenna. We had some bread, a few drinks. My wife got the Filet Medallions, and I got the Fort Worth Ribeye. Decent enough for the price. Drinks were cheap. All in for a party of 3, under $100.00. Service was great for being how busy it was. The waitress was, good but my wife's Fry's with cheese and bacon there was a piece of plastic inside the cheese. I did tell waitress she said do you want me to get the manager but I said no. I didn't feel like getting into it about the food. I was already not happy that my wife could've ate that plastic the waitress should've got the manager anyway and brought her over because that's not a good thing. Wow! I was super disappointed in the quality of food and manager at this location. I ordered the 8oz New York. I asked for medium. It came out and let me tell you, I love steak and I always order medium. It came out it was purple and cold still lol. I asked the server to have them take it back. It took about 15 mins. The manager brought out the same steak and it was burnt to a crisp. I cut into it and it was finally medium but tasted like the burnt grill. Out of the 8oz about 4oz of it was fat. When the bill came I asked the server to comp the steak he got defensive right away and said it's up to the manager. She came over and stated if you didn't like it I would have gave you a new steak. Hello I'm paying $21 for a steak you shouldn't have brought the same steak that you under cooked. She was super fake and only gave 50% off the plate. I haven't been to TXRH in a long time not sure I'll go back. Really disappointed this place has gone down hill. Don't worry I left 20% on a tip even after he got defensive and the manager was fake!
