Great sirloin Had the 6oz med rare with a sweet potato, house salad and sweet tea (and ice water) Steak and potato cooked perfectly. I tried the dressing that was something lime and whole tasty it has a bit more spice than I was prepared for. (Very good, and on another day I would've enjoyed the spice.) My waitress, Kelly, was attentive and kept my drinks filled as she checked on me. The table scanner didn't scan my gift card and she took care of that for me as well.

Let me first tell you how great Nate our server was. We sat at one of the larger booth tables which was full of plates. Nate was super observant and took care of our table of 6 people super well. He frequently refilled our drinks, picked up empty dishes, offered to make a mixed sauce for me so it's spicier, and one person from our table didn't like their drink so he brought an alternative. Ana the Manager helped us split the bill when we couldn't figure out the computer thing. Lol There isn't a way to pick the items I want to pay for which seems intuitive but the device would only let us split the bill total into parts. That's a corporate issue though and she did her best to accommodate us. The food is so good. Don't even get me started on the free super hot bread with that yummy butter and those fried pickle appetizers. I don't know what I was thinking getting the full rack of ribs after stuffing my face with free bread and peanuts and that appetizer. I could only eat 1/3 the rack but the rest of the rack made for excellent lunch the next day.

Texas Roadhouse is a classic American roadhouse vibe: think warm, rustic, and loud in the best way. Our server Jaiden was fantastic. She anticipated everything before we asked i.e condiments already on the table, three rounds of fresh bread without asking, extra plates for appetizers, and an extra hot plate since I was sharing my entrée with my mom. Effortless, warm, and genuinely attentive in a way that's rare. The food matched the service. Everything came out hot and beautifully plated, ribeyes with perfect grill marks, loaded baked sweet potato, ribs were finger licking good, crispy appetizers. We arrived on a Friday around 5pm and only had a short wait, but by the time we finished dinner the place was packed so come early if you can. Texas Roadhouse Oceanside, you've earned a regular. I can't wait to bring my in-laws to try!

Kudos to Texas Roadhouse in Oceanside for being so well prepared on Father's Day! We had a big group of 10 and called ahead to be placed on the waitlist. We arrived and had no issues with getting our table quickly. The service was excellent with plenty of servers available. It was a busy day at the Texas roadhouse with many dads getting their steaks for the big day. The food was well prepared and came to the table quickly. Everything tasted delicious. I love that the servers did the Footloose dance for us. I really enjoy the warm dinner rolls with the whipped butter. So good! My steak was cooked to perfection. The dads at the table were very happy with their meals.

Bryan was our Fantastic server! He was attentive and we had a fun conversation. The ribeye I picked out was incredibly grilled and seasoned. Didn't need any steak sauce. We redeemed the gracious military meal voucher and got the sirloin steak and that too was perfect as well. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming. Thank you Bryan for making our lunch so enjoyable!

Marcos was hands down the best server we've had!!!!From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He has such a charismatic personality that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was amazing, but Marcos's outstanding customer service is what truly stood out. He made sure we had everything we needed, constantly checked in on us, and always made sure our drinks were full. It's rare to come across service this genuine, and he definitely deserves recognition!!!!!!!! We would absolutely love to have Marcos as our server again. Huge shoutout to Marcos for going above and beyond he made our visit memorable!!!!! Pls give him a raise or recognition at work. He deserves it :)

I've always loved this location of Texas Roadhouse. It might be due to growing up with this location, but either way it's great as long as you beat the crowd. Really easy to get seated for early dinners. Staff members are always helpful and kind too! Luckily, I've always had fantastic service with most servers being genuinely happy too. My go to is some variation of grilled or crusted chicken and a blooming onion for an app. The blooming onion is always fried to perfection and their dipping sauce is just the cherry on top. I absolutely have loved every version/piece of chicken I have ordered and during my last visit the herb crusted chicken was exceptional. Wonderfully packed with flavor and very juicy. Couldn't have been happier!

Brought my family here for the first time since moving to Oceanside. The food is okay honestly, a lot of it lacks flavor. The Mac and cheese especially is extremely bland. Mashed potatoes are okay, also kind of bland. The steak is also just okay, I feel like the flavor isn't really there either. The star of the show is the rolls and butter, & the shrimp skewers. Those are good! The service is exceptional though! All the staff is so so sweet and kind! The restaurant is lively, lots of seating & spacious. Cleanliness is okay. Tbh, it just reminds me of going to like Outback Steakhouse, nothing too special. Finding close parking depends on what time and day you go. Sometimes the lot can be empty, sometimes you'll have to park pretty far. Overall I rate it a 3 out of 5, for lack of flavor in food, has nothing to do with the staff themselves, they're all amazing!

    Perla R.

Always a yummy plate here, today we got the blooming onion I tried the chicken critters & sirloin combo & it was really good comes with a choice of 2 sides & and hubby got the bacon burger which was also tasty, I always usually sit at the bar! Fun environment & always a yummy dish!

The food here is so good! I always get the 1/2 rack of ribs and the meat just comes of the Bo e just the way I like it! Great service and ambiance! Can't wait to be back!

Early Bird Dinner Review. We were rushing to make it in by 5:30! I made a "reservation" =getting on the waiting list online on the road. A table was available immediately but we were still 15 minutes out. Walked into a pretty busy waiting area but they honored our spot and got seated right away at 5:20. The host was particularly polite asking if there were any celebrations. Our server, Hanna came right by and we said we needed to order Asap for the EBD! Drink order taken check. Dinner order taken in time. Onto the great stuff. Drinks were cheap and offered an extra shot for $2. My wife enjoyed margs, me beers and a house LI Ice tea(interesting bit not typical) My wife ordered the sirloin with mushrooms and salad. She loved it all. I got the chicken fried sirloin with soup and salad. Sides were great but the CFS was not typical. It was a thick sirloin with breading. I enjoyed it but wasn't what I was expecting. Allin All we had a great time with really fantastic service. A manager did a quick hello. The place was clean, packed and had a really good vibe to it. Staff was dancing in the aisles for some reason, cute. We have been to other TRs and loved the food but inconsistent. The Oceanside shop is top notch.

You know!!! If it wasn't for my friend who told me she likes going here, I wouldn't have gone! I mean we have always talked about coming here but we never do! This time we really came and was not disappointed at all! The bread is warm and delicious! They have a great kids menu and specials! We got steak, which was Cooked perfectly! Sometimes you just really Need a good grilled steak and for the price here... WOW! Amazing! The Caesar salad was just ok though. Nothing great. But yeah, we will def be back!

The online descriptions appear to be heavily embellished (likely AI-generated), promising far more than what arrives at the table. The steak was noticeably low quality, and the cioppino, advertised with fresh bread, fish, and pasta, tasted like watered-down Campbell's soup concentrate. To make matters worse, the bathroom was filthy. While our waiter was genuinely nice, the food was a huge disappointment. For the price, it was frustrating and disheartening to pay premium rates for such a poor experience. We cannot recommend this place and will not be returning.

The tuna tartare was good too. We enjoyed the apps. For entrees I got their bistro plate, it came with a 4oz filet, soup of the day and a salad. My friends got the chicken piccata and a Thai salad. The bistro plate is a great deal. The filet was cooked perfectly to a medium rare and nicely char, however it didn't have any flavor. They did not even salt it. Otherwise it was perfect, they had some table salt that I was able to add. If they seasoned just a little it would have been perfect. But better no salt then salty. My friend's piccata was amazing. Probably the best chicken piccata that we've ever had! Plenty of chicken too. We ended with the butter cake and it was a good ending! So delicious. Cocktails were spot on. For the most part everything was really good and I would come back to try other items.

The appetizers were embarrassingly small, three shrimp on a cocktail plate with a spoonful of cocktail sauce was their shrimp appetizer. I chuckled when I saw it (just a reaction) the other appetizer was the potato skins and it was 4 skins and a decent potion but also served oddly on a tiny plate. The part that bothers me is the dessert. You get a choice of carrot or chocolate cake for dessert. If you have had their carrot or chocolate cake before it's a multi layer cake 2 or 3 layers. They brought out a single layer cake (half portion). It wasn't edible, the chocolate cake - the same. When you buy a slice of cake from the grocery store it's a small square piece of cake, this was that slice except then slice in half (think a small triangle), so not only do you not get the dessert that they normally serve you don't even get a standard slice of cake you get a half of a slice. The cake was dry and not tasty at all. It was so bad, I had to ask the wait staff - "Is this your normal cake now?" They replied "No we buy that cake and give out the small portion just for the price fix menu to save on costs" I would be less annoyed if the menu at least stated "mini cake" or petite portion but they deceivingly state chocolate cake and carrot cake as if you are going to get their chocolate cake or carrot (not a half slice of a grocery single layer dried up cake). I wish I took a picture of it for you to see, hopefully some others post the desserts from price fix menu and share and you can compare to their standard slice cakes. While the steaks were fine, I probably won't be coming back.

I instantly set a reservation (didn't really need it) and we arrived around 4pm on a Tuesday and sat on the patio. Happy hour is daily from 4-6pm and if you sit on the recently renovated patio, drinks are 50% off. I ordered the Ribeye as my birthday entree and we also ordered the Fried Zucchini ($7), Popcorn Chicken ($9), Guajillo Braised Pork Shoulder ($21) and several cocktails ($7 each during HH). Everything was great honestly. No complaints. My wife REALLY loved the braised pork shoulder. My steak was excellent and even though it was free, $32 for a ribeye is the lowest you'll find anywhere. It was nice having not having to fight for a seat. Enjoying a cocktail on the patio in perfect weather is something everyone should try. Highly recommend coming to Mission Ave Bar & Grill for happy hour and to check out the new patio. Make sure to register for their mailing list to get birthday offers too!

Definitely one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The vibe is awesome, the art inside is beautiful, and they even have live music. The owner was super friendly and took the time to share his experience with the dishes, which made it even better. We'll definitely be back. Just wish we lived closer so we could come all the time. Highly recommend if you're in Oceanside.

We were trying to find a place that was a midway point between Temecula and San Diego to meet up…read morewith a friend. We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".
