Well, we lost all the peanuts,but that doesn't really make much sense. Why can't they give us a basket of nuts? They are using covid as an excuse to save money by eliminating peanuts. So this is our first time ordering from this place and location! We got over $200 in gift cards for Christmas! So we decided to reward ourselves with a delicious tasting meal! Started with a Sampler of boneless hot wings, potato skins and rattlesnake balls. And also a blooming onion! We just loved the wings and rattlesnake balls!! Then we ordered each a piping hot medium rare 10 oz Prime Rib... My sides were a ceasar salad and steam broccoli..... Went to dinner here tonight with my husband, we have lived in the area for 4 years now and it was our first time actually eating dinner at this location. We had a wonderful experience! For a Friday night- I called ahead to be put on the wait list and was told for a party of 2 it would be 45-55 min wait once we arrived. We were already on our way and got to the resturant in 10 mins. Upon arrival I checked in and then was told 15-20 minute wait for a party of 2 or we could watch for open seating in the bar area. Well just a few minutes later a bar table opened up and we took it! We didn't have to wait long at all. Our server was Nick, he was great and made sure to check on us often and I noticed he made sure to re-confirm our orders back to us every time to make sure he understood properly. Certain draft beers are always on happy hour! Only $3.99 for a pint or $4.99 for a bigger one! My husband got the ribeye steak & shrimp and I got the shrimp plate- we both thought our meals were tasty. We also got the blooming onion- it is huge! It is enough for like 6 people to share. And the bread and yummy sweet butter is like a dessert in the beginning or save for the end :) Overall- great experience. I saw lots of team work take place and our plates came one after the other in perfect timing! We stopped in for lunch yesterday and ate at the bar. The TV's are good for watching sports. The Bloody Mary's were tasty. They garnish with a dill pickle which is a little different but it worked. My wife's grilled chicken salad was good and the chicken was still juicy. My burger was just OK but for the price its good value. I've been to TR in other locations and other states but visited the one on Happy Valley Rd a few weeks ago. The service was very good! The food was very good! The one thing we did not like was standing against the wall in your designated area until all members of the party were present. This seems like a bad idea since I feel we should be seated ahead of the last members of the party in order to get drinks and appetizers started. TIP: do not say you're waiting for one more person; just have them join you when they come in. read more

it was my sons birthday and we had a party of 11 on monday april 28 ,2025 and since there's no reservations we came to the happy valley location and all 11 arrive around 5:45 since we agreed to meet at 6 pm , my sister had went in to talk to the host and asked about how long the wait time would be and she said 7:15 pm so she agreed but did not ask for her name so she walked out and told us . so we all wanted to agree to wait an hour so i went back in to ask about a update and the girl straight in my face told me no one made a reservation for 11 and i asked the host if a girl with my sisters discription came in and she said no and i told her i don't understand so i went back outside to grab her and she ended up saying that she didn't confirm so she didn't put her down . so we gave her our information and said it'll be 7:15 pm still so we waited because that's what my son wanted to eat . so i came in around 7:15 to ask for an update and she said we are cleaning up the tables maybe like 5 mins you could bring everyone in . it was a busy night and there was 4 big groups in the lobby didn't make sense for her to have us wait inside when we ended up waiting another 30 mins inside thinking our table was ready so we sat down around 7:50pm . finally when it came time to seat us this is the part that really gets me ...... they sat us on the far end by the bathroom on 2 separate booths across from each other . i feel that if there's is big party's you should tell people like hey the wait is an hour and you won't be able to sit your whole group together and it would of been fine we could of went somewhere else but they are very unorganized . so right when everyone sat down it was just such a frustration moment for everyone especially waiting that long . so i went up to ask the manager if there's anyway we would be able to sit in another booth the the second table was more closer and next to each other since it was a long bench but she said no because they were just trying to sit us as soon as possible and that those seats were already taken which no one was sitting there . so i went back to the table and everyone didn't look happy so i had asked the manager again if there's anyway we could sit there and she said no because it would be a fire hazard to put a table there and she told me the tables or stuck to the floor and then she said your lucky to be sitting across from each other and i took that as very rude and she said no . we were pretty far apart that conversations were just not happening from 2 tables everyone was in a bad mode from the experience that even though the food was okay just didn't make it enjoyable . seemed like everyone just wanted to clean up and leave already and just to make things even more frustrating no one sat on that table with the bench . i've been to a lot of the locations in phoenix and never had a experience like the one i had that night we always go to celebrate birthdays and always had the best time ever . i'm very disappointed and not happy and 3 of the people from our group was there first time and was disappointed too . i called the store to try and talk to someone and they said there's no gm only managers and the owner . read more

I've been eating at TR for years and sad to say I won't be returning. I ordered 3 entrees online and the process was pretty straightforward. When my daughter arrived to pick up the food is when the problems began. One of the entrees was prime rib. The server informed my daughter that they were out of prime rib and that they would remake something else, meanwhile the other two entrees sat. No call or text beforehand to explain they were out!? I then tried to call to speak to a manger and was placed on hold where I waited for 7 or so minutes and got disconnected. I then called my daughter, had her put me on speaker and waited some more to talk through her phone to a manager. Meanwhile the other entrees continued to sit. Btw, this was at 6:30pm... they should not be out of one of their more popular dinner items. After a lot of hemming and hawing, Manager comes to the phone and was only willing to offer me a free appetizer on my next visit and I guess expected me to eat cold food as he never offered to re-fire the entrees given the screwup on their part. I refused the food and told him I'd be disputing the charge on my card. Needless to say, was very disappointing to be treated this way with so many other options to choose from. We stopped by as a large party on a Saturday night. We were sat in a server Ashlyn's section. The restaurant was absolutely packed upon our arrival, it took about an hour to be sat. After sitting bread was dropped with in the first five minutes and the server was friendly and helpful. An unfortunate start to our celebration dinner; we're here for a graduation celebration dinner for a nursing student who is 22. We're all from out of state and they let us know that none of our under 23 people could have cocktails because they have vertical IDs (California does this idk why and it's not in our control). Moving past that the drinks we could get were okay the food was decent, over kicked steak and no available salsa. No complaints about the rest of the experience but it was unfortunate that all of our overage individuals couldn't get a cocktail even though their IDs were valid and showed their ages. May give it another try someday but as for today it wasn't worthwhile and not somewhere I would recommend for big parties or important events. read more

This restaurant was welcoming had great decor and great atmosphere. The restroom was nice and clean. You have many options for food and drinks. A full service bar and you can pick your steak at the steak counter area. The host were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing if you are looking for a place to have a great steak cooked the way you like this is your place. I didn't need any sauce or additional seasoning the steak was PERFECT! If you are a steak fan I 100 percent recommend they can cook steak. You have a choice of two sides with every order. I had the Cesar salad and loaded baked potato it had fresh cheddar, bacon, sour cream so good. The alcoholic beverages were large and they offered additional shots to add to your drink it's called a kicker for extra cost. The only complaints I have is there is a three drink maximum. The waitress was working the bar and tables and that was a lot for one person. So some of the service was delayed and quality reduced because they were short handed. read more

So disappointing. We went last night for a celebration for out 12 year old. Her favorite meal here is the prime rib. When we sat down, the 12 year old asked the waiter to make sure they were not out of prime rib. He said he would check, but never did. We placed our order (it was 6:50 PM). At 7:30 PM, the manager comes over and tells us they are out of prime rib. This is the 3rd time this has happened. It's not like we were there at 9 o'clock at night. It was prime (no pun intended) dinner hour. Talk about disappointing. The child did everything she could to hold back the tears. We told the manager to just pack up the rest of the order. We'd take it to go and we wouldn't be back. Miraculously, 10 minutes later they found a prime rib for my daughter, but only 1. So the other person who ordered the prime rib was out of luck. When we told the manager that this is the 3rd time this has happened, he really didn't seem to care. Let's just say, we won't be back. How does a steak house run out of one their most popular dishes during peak dinner hours? Shameful. read more

First order.. 12oz ribeye rare not raw. 16oz ribeye med rare not raw. Second order.. instead of the 12 oz steak I originally ordered I got about a 10 oz scab of meat that was very over cooked and chewy. The 16 oz steak was well past med rare. Both were suppose to be smothered with mushrooms and onions. Well that is not how it came out either rime. The onions were so over cooked the were nothing but slime on top of the steaks. The shrimp were mostly over cooked with a few raw ones mixed in. I will not come back to this restaurant. And you charged me for this garbage you call food. We had dinner here a few hours before the city stopped allowing dine in service due to COVID19 so I figured the attitude would be a bit subdued. It wasn't. Thankfully they didn't have the servers dancing like normal but our server was incredible - so incredibly warm and friendly. Our order took a little longer than normal to come out but the food was as good as always. I had a pork chop with mashed potatoes and broccoli as my sides. I like that they have the peanuts now in individual bags instead of a bucket on the table. They were actively taking steps to ensure their guests stay safe and protected from the spread of germs. the hostess should be fired. went there for my birthday on Friday for dinner. we knew there would be a wait because it's Friday and we had a larger party. when I checked in I mentioned we had people who would not be able to sit in a booth an that we'd need a table with chairs. the hostess said the wait would be a little longer because of this and i was totally fine with that. never did the hostess ask if my entire party was here or not, nor did i say i was waiting on anyone. after OVER AN HOUR we get a call asking if our entire party had arrived because we'd been marked as an incomplete party for OVER AN HOUR and they did not put us on the wait list. im furious so i go to the host stand to try to clear this up. there were several people ahead of me who were also complaining, it seemed like the waitlist was not working and A BUNCH of people had been waiting without being put in the waitlist. instead of admitting to this and figuring out a way to help, i was told id just get out on the waitlist now and it would be another half an hour bringing the wait to almost 2 hours. i was NOT ok with this, especially because this was the fault of the restaurant and hostess, not me or my family. the hostess did not care whatsoever that she'd made a mistake or the system was glitching and never apologized or asked to see if she could accommodate us. the only reason a manager came over is because he saw a bunch or people upset at the host stand and wondered why we were upset. I told the manager, who was a teenager, what was going on. I got my first apology finally and told again that we'd go on the list now and get sat in another half an hour. I asked if there was a way to get say faster since my elderly parents, and 2 children were with us. they said they could sit us at a booth right away and I said no. then the manager asked if a high top was ok and I said yes. the hostess then brings us to a 4 person booth with 2 chairs pulled up.... for 7 people. our party was way to large to fit in the booth. We had also passed the promised 8 Top so I know for a fact they have them in this restauran. I asked if we could be sat at a table with chairs like I had asked for in the beginning and was LIED to and told this restaurant doesn't have tables with chairs, only booths. The manager then said that their establishment wasn't meant for large parties and we should have known that coming in. 2nd time coming here. They don't do reservations. You can call an hr before arriving so they can get your table ready and don't have to wait long. I love the filet cause it's soft & moist. The potatoe skins are good especially with sour cream & so is the cactus blossom (it taste like onion rings, but in a different shape) the horseradish sauce is really good with it. *Don't get road kill cause literally that's what it feels like ur eating, it's so dry! They give you ice cream for your birthday & if you want they do a saddle call. Wasn't sure what that was and asked it for my dad and they brought a saddle and you sit on it and yell ur name and age it was hilarious especially for older people, I think it's more for younger people, you can ask for just the ice cream if you want. read more

The service here for pick up was TERRIBLE. I came in with my toddlers to pick up an order for my family (it was cold outside) so I came in and politely asked if I could pick up my order Indoors and was immediately met with Rude eye rolling and the employees being dismissive. I tried to purchase more rolls and was told I could only order from outside; even though I have two toddlers with me and it's illegal to leave children in the car. Our waiter Brandon was awesome. On top of it, friendly and attentive. I was pleasantly surprised by the food too. The side salad with blue cheese was crisp and delicious. The side caesars seemed to need a little more kick but a squeeze of a lemon helped. Burger was cooked as ordered and tasty. Bun was supportive and well flavored which is important. The fries are excellent. Country fried sirloin was good. The smothered chicken was tasty and well cooked. The 1/2 rack was a little disappointing. Falling off the bone but still a little dry?
