Stopped in after a day of sightseeing and shopping. It was a long, cold day and we just needed something warm in our bellies before heading back to the hotel. Our server was cute as could be and so friendly. My husband had a burger and I had a steak and they were both excellent. Let me start of by saying we LOVE Texas Roadhouse. Our location however is about 1 1/2 to 2 Hours away in Johnson City Tn. However, we came to PF area, Me, My Husband, Youngest Son & 3 Young Grandson's to stay in the Wilderness of the Smokies a couple Days. Due to the food being exceptionally high & Not that great here we decided to Call in Something & eat in our room. I've been craving steak a lot cause my iron is low. We didn't want to take the risk of bad food again so we thought Texas Roadhouse. They always cook up a great steak. I called the restaurant to place a order cause I'm always to slow & wanted to request some sauces but the guy told me to call back & have a to go link to my phone sent & place a order there. So I did so!! Don't know why it was an inconvenience to take an order over phone. Anyways I placed the order via app & it said it would be ready at 8:15 (45 minutes!! No big deal spring break is here) Thankfully my husband left early because I got a text before he got there that it' was ready at 8:01.. If my husband hadn't left early the food would be sitting almost 15 minutes. They brought the food out & I had texted my husband what we had & to check the food. The kids Chicken Nugget meal wasn't in the bag. So much for curb side cause he had to go in & wait for it. More time for our food to set. My husband ask the guy if all the sauces like Honey Mustard for the kids meal, cinnamon butter for the rolls, extra Heinz 57, extra ranch for Salads was in the brown paper stapled bag. He said "yeah everything is in the paper bag stabled up with all you need"... He gets back to the hotel around 845 & we start taking out the bag & giving out food. It's been a rough day with a 6yr, 3yr & 2yr old grand children. No nap, overly tired, bedtime. I hand out all the food & open the paper bag & see not much in it. The kids didn't have any sauce, just the smallest chicken bites I've ever seen & I had to throw ALL their fries away!! (Pictured below) They were straight up burnt & old. Luckily the kids had a few leftovers from earlier & divided that up. Open the rolls to give one to each kid! Their favorite BUT with cinnamon butter that wasn't in the bag. My son got full rack of ribs, 2 sweet potatoes was suppose to come with butter, cinnamon or brown sugar (what makes the potato's good).. I had the Kabobs over rice, with fries & added a salad. Kabobs tuff & no where near the requested med rare... Rice over cooked & the same fries that I threw away of the kids. Tossed mine as well.. No ranch or Heinz. My meal is currently in the refrigerator after only a couple bites, salads were hard to eat with such small amount of ranch. Salads was nothing but lettuce, 2 croutons, little egg & sprinkle shredded cheese!! My husband had the Ft Worth Ribeye that was overcooked, no red from the requested medium rare!! Again nothing to put on his Sweet potato!! And they as on line how many silverware you needed. We want 6 but got zero!! It took my husband 15 minutes to find plastic knife. Stake was literally 60-70 all fat!! He like to never get it cut with the plastic knife.. Then the big kicker is they added a gratuity at check out that couldn't be taken off or adjusted.. I am a REALLY good tipper but a tip should NEVER be forced!! Tips are getting ridiculous for people just doing their jobs these days!! I didn't get to call cause they closed at 9 from what Google showed. So much for getting something familiar to get good food..This whole experience is like throwing a $100 bill down the drain!! Best chain steak house for consistency. We always get the felet, which is consistently flavorful, tender & perfect every visit. A bottle of Merlot adds to the flavor. For my first time trying this place, it was a horrible experience after we were sat. The host were exceptional and very welcoming. The experience was downhill from there. Our server came and said he was "new", but had an entire section with about 5-6 tables. We were a party of five, but only ordered fountain drinks and our meals. As the first table sat, we were the last to get our food. Our server came to our table to bring us everything but our food. The tables around us received their food and drink refills before any of us received the salads that came with our meals. The food was ok, but the service was terrible! read more

I've reviewed a couple of Texas Roadhouse restaurants and I feel like the experience is similar regardless of location - when it's good, it's very good but when it's bad, it's awful. And unfortunately tonight was awful. I was looking forward to a steak night. When Texas Roadhouse is on their game, they can deliver a really nice steak. I order a steak medium and the waitress clarified that it would have a hot pink center. When the steak came out it was completely gray and bone dry. Obviously beyond well done with zero pink. Who eats a steak like that? They offered to replace the it. I was a little hesitant given that everyone in my party was nearly done eating but I agreed. So, ten minutes later my second steak come out - also, well done. Now, there was a slight sliver of pink on this steak but it was 90% gray. How does this happen? The first one was obviously a mistake but there's no excuse for the second one. So, my dinner was a side salad and green beans. The waitress was incredibly apologetic and I do genuinely believe that it was a cook error. Another employee gave me a box to take the steak with me because he said it was just going to be trashed. Obviously they comped the entire meal - which was good. However, it was a frustrating experience to say the least. read more

We ordered pick up here after spending the day in Gatlinburg headed back to our cabin. The food was on time and the runner was very nice. Our food was hot when we came home, so I could tell for sure it was fresh. I've had way worse take out experiences at their competitors such as Outback, so I was happy about that. They were packed when we picked up our food too, during 6:00 dinner rush. I thought the food was average. We got 2 fried chicken and gravy meals, a pork chop and ribs. I was disappointed because they forgot my side of mashed potatoes which I paid extra for. Small little thing, but still. First, I ate my Cesar salad, it was excellent. Great dressing, better than most chain steakhouses. Highly recommend it. The chicken and gravy was disappointing. The chicken was fried well, but the white gravy was bland and oddly sweet? Not sure why. A little too sweet for me. I wouldn't get it again. Needed more pepper and salt. Tasted like it was just instant made stuff. My baked potato was also disappointing because it wasn't fully cooked so it was hard and a little nasty. I didn't finish it. You'll definitely need more sour cream and bacon if you get it loaded at take out. My crew loved their meal. My sister loved her chicken and gravy, my uncle loved his pork chop and my aunt loved her ribs. They fell off the bone, I didn't try it though myself. The pricing is affordable, but average. I think I'd look for somewhere else to eat though if I came back or maybe try a different dish. I will say the pick up speed is great. I know it's a steakhouse, so maybe the steak would be better, but I had steak there before and rarely get steak out because I prefer to make it myself. My family and I stopped in here while visiting Pigeon Forge. We love going to different Roadhouses and this one did not disappoint either. I absolutely love this place. It is awesome from every standpoint. The food is great, the music is great, the service is great, the atmosphere is great. I love Texas Roadhouse all around. I always get the sirloin and it is always amazing. I would highly recommend. I like the country feel to it with the atmosphere of the music Staffing at Texas Vibe obviously it's called Texas Roadhouse but they really go all out with it and I really enjoy that the peanuts great addition don't want to floor don't mean a bucket do whatever you want with them it's great I love this place steaks are always cooked great service is always excellent I highly recommend going here I would go here every day if I can forward it to be honest so good stuff read more

It seems like each time I've come here there has been some sort of issue. I assure you that my last visit was the last time I would eat at this location. Failure 1: The first time we visited they forgot to order our sons meal which forced us to have to come up fast for him to eat. We always order his first so he can start before we get ours. Failure 2: After trying to find a good place to take the family out for dinner to celebrate the wife's birthday this was her choice. We have celebrated mine in Pigeon Forge and they were nice and did their whole birthday desert, saddle, and hat. We expected the same at this location. We throughly expressed to our waitress it was the wife's birthday. My wife even ordered her free app for her birthday and the waitress even said "free birthday app." We finish eating and start killing time waiting for them to sing to her. After sitting there for 20 minutes we left because she started pushing us to leave. So for tip I wrote birthday and we left. I hated not tipping her but I hate even more them not coming out and making her day special. Thanks Texas Roadhouse for making my next 12 months having to hear how I forgot her birthday. read more

The food was very good, and the manager was lovely, but the waiter Austin literally called my friend a pig because of the portion size of her food. He sat down the plates, pointed out hers because it had the largest portion on it, and said, "well we know who the pig of the table is." We were all, naturally, really upset by this comment. But one friend in particular has PTSD because of similar comments made to her by abusive family members in the past and his comment triggered an attack for her. She was visibly upset at the table because she was in the middle of a panic attack, and Austin noticed and kept picking at her about it. I understand asking if someone is okay, but he was told multiple times she was fine and she was visibly uncomfortable with him talking to her, yet he continued prying even after he was asked to stop. It got to the point that he was mimicking her actions and making fun of her for being upset. When she went to leave the table (because she was having A PANIC ATTACK!), she caught him talking badly about us to other staff right at the stairs in front of us- he didn't even wait to get to the back. Overall it was a terrible experience and ruined what was supposed to be a really nice night out for our friends. I would again like to point out that the manager was very lovely when she helped us with the situation, and she comped two of our checks because of the situation. I know it's not the fault of the entire restaurant that one server was an asshole, but he was, and it still ruined our night. The food was good, but it wasn't worth it. read more

Very disappointing service, after waiting 30 mins we received a text saying are table was ready. Then proceeded to wait another 30 mins at the front counter as we watched heaps of other tables being seated that just arrived and did not wait as long as we did. We were not given a reason for why. When we finally were seated we immediately found a hair in our water. Just the service alone ruined the food. Even with the food being good it ruined the whole dinning experience. After attempting to eat lunch in Gatlinburg, only to be met with 2 hour wait times, my family headed down the mountain to trusty Texas Roadhouse jn Pigeon Forge. I'm SO glad we did. First off, they have their wait times listed on their website, so you know what to expect. You can also put you name down for an easier wait and check in process. There was zero wait for the three of us on a Sunday afternoon. The hostesses were friendly, and got us seated right away with a basket of warm, fresh bread. Our waiter was friendly, polite, and attentive. All of the food was hot, fresh and well seasoned.
