It was busy but we used the call ahead feature and this was important as it was busy with everyone using their holiday gift cards. We only waited about ten minutes with the location jammed packed. Our server was busy but, what can you say it was busy. I got chili as an app and it was perfectly balanced with beans, meat, chilli, etc. The girls all got salad as their app and they were happy with the odd exception that the crotons were all different portion sizes. Our drinks stayed mostly refilled, when we could find him due to being so busy. Julie and amanda got steak and shrimp that they were happy with. Jennifer got her usual steak and baked potato that had good flavor and portions. I got the road kill, my fries were the best fries I have ever had and my meat was spiced and had cheese and a good amount of onions and mushrooms on it. The manager even swung by twice. I used to drive to Alliance, which was the closest Texas Roadhouse for me prior to the opening of the Niles-Cortland Rd location. I made that drive probably once a month b/c the food was outstanding. To that end, the new location is no different- on point, spot on.....every time. That's what I find to be so remarkable about the Texas Roadhouse; consistency from visit to visit, always walking away satisfied. Steaks are always of a quality cut, perfectly cooked (ya ever go to a steakhouse and get a steak that's either gristly, or chewy, or tasteless, or a combination of the above?. ...now sometimes you want to give a steakhouse an occasional mulligan, as steaks can, at times, be hit or miss and the determinant is how the restaurant handles the occasional "bad cut of meat"- do they remedy the issue without a qualm, do they make it right?). But I digress.....here, I've NEVER had a steak, chicken dish, nor rack of ribs that were anything less that spectacular. I think that's simply outstanding, the consistency, and I've been here I'd say 8-9 times. Sides are cooked properly, appetizers are good also. I enjoy the "casual, peanuts on the floor atmosphere" and the prices are really quite reasonable. My only complaint (tongue in cheek) is the silly dancing they make the servers do every twenty minutes or so. Yikes :-) Of the "chain" steak houses, ala Outback, Longhorn, Lone Star, Texas Road House stands head and shoulders above the competition. Highly recommended read more

So happy to have a TRH in Niles now! Great steaks, wonderful sides and the best Caesar Salads ever! We have even done take out for sandwiches and it was great!!!! I don't mind bringing home these burgers at all!! Yum! So far out of all of our visits we only had one downer and her boss took care if it immediately! I could not have asked for a better experience. My family joined hubby and I in celebrating our younger son's birthday at this establishment. THEY WERE FANTASTIC from beginning to end. We have a wonderful hostess who seated us quickly, and we were a party of 7! The server was very friendly and super patient. He got all our order right and the food was cooked to perfection!! They even came out all at once, steaming hot! My birthday boy got a song and got to ride on the birthday saddle! We felt right at home! Best of all, the place was very clean and organized. I visited on 4/23/2014 with my parents and younger sister for my birthday. This was our first time at Texas Roadhouse and I've been wanting to try it for a while. Here's the most important part: Our server, Allie, was very attentive, kind, and professional. The night went without any problems until our entrees came. Nothing was wrong with them but as soon as 3 out of the 4 plates were handed to us, I noticed out of the corner of my eye, the tray and tray stand crashed to the floor. I immediately could tell that Allie's heart sank as soon as I looked at her. We were very understanding, accidents do happen, I've even been in that situation myself. I could tell she became very nervous and embarrassed at that point, especially when she kept apologizing every time she checked up on us for the rest of our visit. I tried to ease her nerves a bit by smiling and saying there's no need to apologize, it was only an accident. This is where Allie earned a 5 star rating. She was very sincere, she took pride in her work, and it showed the most at that moment. Regarding the food, we ordered the Bloomin' Onion (I know it's not the proper name for it, the real one escapes me) as an appetizer. It was very delicious and it costs about $3 less than Outback's version. The cinnamon butter was spectacular with those fresh baked rolls! I ordered the 11oz. sirloin and it was close to perfect. Not too much seasoning, done medium as ordered, and the steak fries were very good. Fun fact: If it's your birthday, they grab a saddle and have you sit on it while your server announces to the entire restaurant that it's your birthday, asking all the guests to join her in a "yee-haw". I didn't go through that but, I did witness another guy do it. I would've been embarrassed to do it, can't blame me. To make a long review short: I would've given Texas Roadhouse a 4/5 based off of everything else but Allie definitely earned a 5/5 for herself and the restaurant. normally when restaurants get a majority of the food you ordered wrong, they comp something. when we got an entire table of wrong food, we got charged for all of the incorrections they made. cheese on the fries when we ordered them plain? 9.99 cheese fries instead of the plain fries we ordered. and they were out of mac and cheese, which okay that's fine i'll pick something else. but why wait until you bring out my entire tables food before mentioning it? i paid $40 for food we didn't eat, but we waited so long for it that it wasn't worth getting everything fixed. read more

My food was awesome, service was great, and wait time for food to arrive was as expected. The only reason they did not get 5 stars, is the volume on their music. It was loud. Too loud for a restaurant. I felt like I was at a club with a DJ, or bar musician. When I have to speak above my normal speaking voice by a good amount, then it no longer compliments the atmosphere, it takes away from it. This is only constructive criticism. I am not "too old ". I just don't find it appropriate for the setting. My suggestion would be for management to mark the volume max on the system for both the normal and the dance levels. That way, after the dance, it would go back to the appropriate level. (Even when requesting the volume be adjusted, the lower level they chose was still uncomfortable.) Okay I know it's a steak house so I'm reviewing this as a vegan. There's isn't much for vegans or vegetarians. DON'T order the baked potato, they cover it in bacon grease. When I asked if they could make mine without I was told that they cover the potatoes in the morning with it and couldn't be done without. The green beans have bacon in them. There's always the standards of fries, peanuts, salads, and corn. So if you are dragged here just be warned to eat something at home first so you're not starving afterwards. read more

Literally every time we order take out from this location they tell us it will take 20 minutes, it ALWAYS takes longer and today it took 49 minutes. That is unacceptable. Also, the clerk was rude and when told that the order was incorrect he refused to fix it. This was the last chance. We will not be returning. You are way better off at Outback or Firebirds right down the road for steaks. read more

Awful service. Awful food. Ordered to go on a Saturday night, the staff was incredibly rude and the food was cold and disgusting to the point where I threw it away. The portion looked like they used another persons leftover fries. When I called the manager the next day, she told me sometimes the food is cold and you just have to reheat it. First off it's a steak house and they do not know meat temperatures, I like my steak medium well. Slightly pink , this location however thinks that means cook it till its burned & dry... Best steakhouse hands down. The atmosphere is inviting and lively. Around dinner time it gets really busy so if you want to avoid crowds - like me - go early. I've never had a bad meal here. The servers are always friendly and attentive. Steak always comes out perfectly cooked and the sides/apps are just as good. Forget the other area steakhouses. This is the only place you need to look. My husband and I ate dinner here today. We were seated quickly and our server greeted us pretty quickly. I ordered the "Roadkill" which is chopped steak with mushrooms, onions and cheese and for my sides, I had broccoli and a salad. My husband ordered smothered chicken which is topped with onions, mushrooms and cheese. He also got brocolli and salad. Our meals were both delicious! My steak was done exactly how I like it and was really tender. My husband said his chicken was the best he's had at a restaurant. The prices are very reasonable. We have been to this location many times and overall our food has lived up to our expectation. This is the second time our steaks were cooked incorrectly. Upsetting when they are a steakhouse. After the waitress took our steaks back a manager brought a replacement for one immediately (cooked perfectly) but the other took about 15 minutes (cooked perfectly but no sides). The manager did not apologize for our wait and argued when we were upset about how long we had to wait. What makes me upset is we really like the food. This time our overall service just sucked.
