I love Thai food and Thai2Go is one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. The Pad See Ewe, which is a staple at most Thai places, was very tasty. The vegetables were very fresh and crispy and the sauce was delicious. On another trip, I tried the Kao Soi, a spicy Curry Noodle dish from Northern Thailand. The dish was a real treat and just the right portion size leaving me very satisfied. I was also very lucky that another person in my party ordered the Soft Shell Crab Salad and shared some with me. This dish was amazing and the highlight of our meal. The crab was light and crispy with a tempura coating and it was paired with a fantastic Apple Salad with peppers and tomatoes. The salad really complemented the Soft Shell Crab and will definitely be in my order the next time I go to Thai 2 Go. I came into this place totally Yelp-blind, which is a pretty rare phenomenon. All in all, not a bad place to go for a quick Thai fix. Like other Yelpers have said, the prices are a little high for a primarily take-out kind of place. The dishes cost about the same as those you would find at a nicer sit-down Thai place. As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised considering I was expecting to get the Thai equivalent of Panda Express (it's called Thai2Go for crying out loud). Food comes out fast and hot and there are a lot of options to choose from. I would say definitely stick to noodle dishes here. The curries are on the bland side and don't have quite enough sauce or spice. On the plus side, the portion of included rice is much bigger than at other places I've been to. The pad thai was pretty good but the pad see ew really stole the show. Both noodle dishes were extremely flavorful, and some extra spice powder really upped the deliciousness factor. All dishes do include a pretty generous servings of vegetables and meat, so at least you're not overpaying for the amount of food. read more

Im am staying at Marriott less than one mile away from this restaurant. I ordered my food at 5pm and it is now 7:15pm. After calling to figure out where my food was the guy in the phone told me that it's been in the car with the driver for the last 45 minutes while he's been delivering other orders. I asked him if the food would still be warm and he mumbled something. Finally I just asked him to cancel my order and refund my money and he hung up on me mid sentence! Average food with horrible customer service is not worth it. The food is average in comparison, when they get the order correct. They LACK Customer Service skills and I will NEVER order from this establishment again! I attempted to call in 5 orders prior to 11:30 am today and the person who I spoke with over the phone had the most difficult time understanding that each transaction was to be paid separate with the exception of two orders and he was very perplexed and confused. I have ordered in the past and this was never a problem. Then this person gets flustered and stated that he would have to cancel the transaction and start over. I was fine with him starting over, but he said "If I start over, you will have to call back" and he hangs up on me. I quickly call back and after multiple attempts of no response I drive up to this restaurant, only to find out that the person I was speaking to was the MANAGER!!!! To add insult to injury, the manager offers me a Thai tea to "Cool me down!" he says. He was unbelievable! He was beyond rude! He was Insolent and uncouth! Thai 2 Go has always been our go to place to eat at least twice a week until a week ago. We have collectively decided that we would eat somewhere else until something else come along. The MANAGER was very rude and hung up on my coworker and when I spoke to him he tried to justify his actions which were still wrong. I've been ordering from them since they opened and have seen the quality of the food and service go down. The delivery time is long but that's ok because I know they are busy. So when you get your food you expect it done right. Well these past couple of times, I've seen my food thrown together and then told delivery will be 45 minutes (which is typical) but food arrived 13 minutes later but the food had no taste and parts of it cold. I have ordered drinks with no ice but they load it with ice (I know may seem small but after repeated mistakes and chance after chance it's like what can they get right). Sometimes the only reason I keep ordering is because of convince but after today's order it just feels like it's becoming a waste of money and I'll just have to find another go to spot. read more

Best Thai of the dozen or so I've tried in DFW. I grew up in and went to college in Seattle, so I think I know good Thai. The flavors are strong and aromatic (lots of basil, lemongrass and chilies) and you actually get a bit of fish sauce. I particularly recommend the flat noodles and the Thai2Go curry. read more

The food was absolutely horrid. We ordered the duck and rice, and the crispy shrimp panang. This rice was old, dry, and crunchy. The duck was dried out and horrible. The crispy shrimp was old and far from fresh. After paying $30 for 2 dishes, I managed to fight through 3 bites before becoming nauseated. As far as Thai in Dallas goes, this is above average. For the area it is in, it is the second best, and more affordable than the best which is Si Lom. Obviously, it is very casual. The owner(s) is a very welcoming man. The overall food quality is good. They do not put strange ingredients into standard Thai dishes like other Thai-American places around Dallas (such as tomatoes in dishes where they don't belong; a pet peeve of mine). My only complaint would be that the portions of their curry dishes are slightly off. There isn't enough of the liquid portion of the curry to balance out the rice, meat and veggies. read more

Nice location, tucked into the Medical District. Very easy in and out parking. I really appreciate being able to see into the kitchen of places I eat to determine cleanliness of the food prep area as well as the cooking staff. Thai 2 Go appears very clean and the staff look clean as well. Dining area is very well kept and provides something of a modern upscale decor. The food is considered very good (at least 3-4 stars worth) by the crew I work with and there is an added bonus of it having Jimmy Johns as a neighbor so variety selection in a single stop makes this an even more efficient fast food selection. read more

STAFF IS RUDE! Went there for take-out; girl at the checkout counter acted super annoyed at having to answer simple questions about the menu, such as "does this come with chicken?" I came here during my lunch hour. I wanted something quick and I'm looking for a go to thai place in the area. The food is quite bland, nowhere near what a delicious thai meal is. The price is reasonable and the portion is good, however my Pad Thai is mainly noodles, very little tofu and close to zero veggies. I saw how buys it was so i decided to order it to go; I ended up waiting 40 minutes to get a simple Pad Thai to go! that's even without meat! On my way out I pointed out to a girl at the counter that I had seen several people that ordered well after me get their food before me. She didn't care, she just ignored me. If only their portions matched their flavor. I ordered delivery last night and it arrived right on time. I will add I am quite a chili head and when I say their level 4 is hot, I mean it is head sweating hot. The food was really good. Some of the best I have had....but.....when I order Thai or Asian delivery I can usually get 3 meals out of it before it's gone. Sadly, that is not the case here. I thought maybe I caught them on a night they were rushed so I ordered delivery again tonight. Again, the food was exceptional but the size of the portion was ridiculously small. Do not eat here if you are in a hurry for lunch this is the second time I have ate here and both times it took them 20 + minutes to get me my food. the first time i had to take it to go and eat at my desk. This time was no different while i decided to stay i had to eat my food very fast. I agree with the other review that they only care about the take out side. I had to complain about the time and then my food showed up, but i got mine before a guy who was waiting longer. i also think it is hit or miss.
