(Finishing up some half-written reviews.) We have been to this spot multiple times, as it is near my workplace. It's not fancy, but it's a decent option for reasonably priced food there on Broadway. My notes from this particular visit tell me that we ordered: BBQ chicken lunch (8.95 -- that was a bargain!) Pineapple fried rice (My friend ordered this; I typically don't order fried rice in restaurants, as I think of it as what you do with leftovers.) Yellow curry Everything was well-executed and very reasonable, especially compared to nearby options. Value is decent. Service was decent, not memorable. I haven't paid much attention to parking, as we always walk over, but best guess is that parking is free in the neighborhood, if not right there on Broadway. Bottom line: There's a reason this has been a spot we've returned to: It's tasty and economical.

Came in the other day because I was craving Pad Thai and wanted to take advantage of their lunch deal. It was already busy at 1pm and all the indoor seating was taken, they do have two little tables for outdoor dining as well - I decided to just wait and ordered my food ahead, within 5 minutes there was a table ready inside. The pad thai lunch deal came with a side salad and was $9.95. You're not able to choose which protein you like so mine came with tofu and 2 prawns. I was kind of let down because they used ketchup instead of tamarind sauce and the shrimps were precooked so they were dry and not juicy at all. Nevertheless, it was still very filling and affordable, Thai Basil is Thai fast food so I wasn't expecting too much but with other fast food Thai restaurants like Rice & Noodle using tamarind sauce and letting you pick your proteins for around the same price, I think they can do much better.

Correct order but no spice at all...I specifically did ask for Thai Hot and I didnt taste any spice so had to add some black pepper and chili sauce I needed to buy from the H-Mart close to me. Disappointed

This little gem opened a few weeks back and immediately filled a hole on West Broadway which was lacking in variety (mostly sushi and sandwiches). The employees were quick about making themselves known by hand-delivering menus to local businesses. Working just down the road, I was immediately open to trying the new spot for lunch. The lunch specials are incredible affordable - $8.95 for a lunch sized portion of Pad Thai, or curry and a variety of other delicious meals. I call ahead maybe 10 minutes and the food is ready as I walk in to pay. The sit-in section is well decorated, fresh and modern and both employees I have met so far have greeted me with a smile and engage in enough conversation that they remember me the next time I come through. I highly recommend trying the Pad Thai and while you're at it, grab a full coconut, freshly opened to sip on as you enjoy your lunch.

If you're ever in Vancouver, you absolutely can't miss Miku, the Japanese restaurant next to Canada Place! This restaurant is incredibly popular, often requiring a wait, so reservations are highly recommended. This time, I managed to book a window seat a week in advance for the weekend! The renowned Miku restaurant undoubtedly boasts a beautiful view from its windows, excellent service, and of course, delicious food. Their seared sushi is particularly famous. My partner really wanted to try their Boat Noodle for a while now so we were quite excited to try that dish. The waiter was nice and recommended a couple dishes for us. Som Tum (Papaya Salad) 3/5 The texture was nice and it tasted refreshing but it is QUITE spicy. I appreciate the authentic Thai spice level but it was too spicy for us. I liked the sourness and I know this rating is a very personal rating based on our spice tolerance. Roti with Curry Sauce 3.75/5 Nice, flaky roti that wasn't too oily. I wish there was a little more sauce. Pad See Ew with Crab Meat 4/5 Great flavor. There was a decent number of clumped up noodle but the portion was great. Good amount of crab as well. Boat Noodle Soup 4.25/5 This was the best boat noodle we had so far. Flavorful broth with generous portion of various meats. There could be an option to get more noodles but my partner got this and she was satisfied with the amount since there were good chunks of meat. Good heat that creeps up. Roselle Drink 3.75-4.5/5 Great compliment to the dishes as it lightened and refreshed our pallette. Slightly sour. It tasted better with the food than by itself. Thai Milk Tea 3.5/5 Good enough. Wasn't the best but wasn't bad. Rainbow Sweet Sticky Rice 4.25/5 We were surprised it came in a cup and that it was soup-ier than we imagined. I was hoping that they had mango sticky rice but we thoroughly enjoyed the coconut I think it's also important to keep in mind that this is a relatively fast paced restaurant. There is some wait so you want to finish your food, pay, and leave. The staff was nice but we could tell that they wanted to keep the flow. We would be coming back again for sure! We loved the staff and the food.

The restaurant is located on a busy street and is unassuming/easy to miss so I'm glad my boyfriend pointed it out for us to try with some friends. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. They all arrived relatively quickly and my favourites were the pad thai and the khao soi. The pad thai was fragrant and on the sweeter side which I like. I also liked the fresh raw bean sprouts on the side. The khao soi was curry noodles with tender beef and crispy egg noodles. The curry was very flavourful with a hint of heat and sweetness. This was also my first time trying curry noodles at a Thai restaurant. The green curry was filled with bamboo shoots, peppers, and a good amount of chicken. The flavour from the bamboo shoots really comes through as well. For the crab fried rice, it came with a spicy sauce and pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to go around so I didn't get a chance to get a good taste of it with the rice. However, I scooped some curry sauce from the khao soi onto the crab friend rice and it was delicious! Finally, we tried the mango sticky rice and my goodness, it was so pretty! The rice was warm and sweet which paired beautifully with the slightly tart mango. I'll definitely have to come back to have more of the khao soi noodles!
