This place is good if you're having a craving for Thai food and have no other options. Unfortunately that's the case up here in the North Valley. I got the Tom Gha Kai soup and would not recommend. It tasted like REALLY salty limes and lemon All-purpose cleaner. It was a strange texture and had WAY too many green onions. They could have called it "green onion and lime salt soup". I also got the yellow curry which was ok but lacked the depth of flavor you find at the more authentic Thai restaurants. After being in quarantine for several weeks we decided to order take out. Their website is super easy to navigate with many options to customize your order. We placed the order and were given a pick up time of 530pm. When we arrived at the restaurant early the order was ready and the staff immediately attended to us. The food was fresh, and the quantity was generous. The spicy scale is not conservative as I ordered a 3 of 5 and it was very warm. First and foremost nothing is spicy even if ordered extra spicy, the food is loaded with sugar it's so sweet. The biggest let down is the amount of chicken served with an entree has to be 2 ounces, all you get is sweet sauce and veggies, we ordered extra chicken too. Went back tried a second time asked for extra spicy and extra chicken (I even explained that on prior visit I ordered extra chicken and didn't get it extra chicken and that it always maybe 2 ounces - the order came the same way no extra chicken and not spicy. I had been to other Thai Chili 2 Go locations so I figured I would order some takeout especially after just coming from California. I ordered at 8:25pm which was close to their closing time, but that's why I ordered takeout to try and make things quick. I didn't realize that I would be getting myself into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. First of all, the phone number when clicking "delivery or takeout" on their Yelp was not correct and was linked to a different location. I didn't realize that until I tried picking up my order. The entire time we were trying to figure out this confusion the cashier, Brandon, was not accommodating in the least. We kept going back and forth on how I got the wrong number instead of just apologizing for the mistake and then taking my order then and there. At one point Brandon said that I can reorder my food but the kitchen was already shut down so that it would take "some time" to get my food. Mind you, it was about 8:40pm at that point. Now I understand that I came before closing and that the workers want to go home, but what's the point of being open until 9pm if they can't serve food? I was so frustrated at that point that I asked Brandon, "So why did you shutdown the kitchen before you close?". And he literally told me, "Because we're 'dead' ". I didn't even know what to say. And there was another guy waiting to order behind me, but after seeing the exchange between me and the cashier he walked out... I was so turned off at that point that I didn't even want to order food. Why would I pay a business that views me as an inconvenience? No, thank you. The next day I called the store to discuss my experience with a manager. I spoke with the front of house manager and she was so indifferent about everything that I was telling her. She told me I should have used their number on Google (which doesn't solve their Yelp issue) and she wasn't surprised at how early the workers were closing. Now I see why the workers were okay with everything if their manager lacks just as much customer service skills. She tried to seem apologetic, but fell short. She gave me a free meal and said she was sorry for my experience. I said it was okay, but I felt so disappointed that even the manager didn't really care. I won't be using that free meal. It's pointless. If they think that free meals make up for their poor customer service, then they don't need my business. read more

Imari, the supervisor at this location, deserves some accolades for making a terrible situation into a good one. We ordered food on the yelp app (NEVER again) and it ended up going to the wrong location (the one on Scottsdale rd). I tried calling the Scottsdale location to cancel the order and was on hold for 25 min, by which time the order was ready. After coming to this location to figure out what the heck to do, they said we had to contact grub hub for the refund. Grub hub told me they could not cancel the order because the food was already ready which would have been avoided IF THEY ANSWERED THEIR PHONE at the Scottsdale location. Needless to say, it could have been a horrible experience but Imari at the Dove Valley location did the right thing and prepared my order at no cost, and quickly. Give her a raise! In regards to the food, it's always been consistent and good. Worth coming back to this location. And next time, we're using their food app. read more

I ordered the pad Thai noodles with chicken, which I normally love. The first bite it was too sour, I heard somebody else say that word and it just fits this perfectly. It is a sour taste, and it's just not good. I tried to put soy sauce on it, I tried to kind of wipe off the noodles and it just isn't good. read more

I really love the Scottsdale location because it had the regular menu. This location barely has any options. My 2 favorite dishes are drunken noodle and pad see ew. Both are missing from menu at this location. Actually, this menu has 6 less options. This is so disappointing. I seriously was planning on Thai Tuesday and getting take out weekly. Now I will probably rarely even go here. The pad Thai is okay, but not nearly as good as the drunken noodles. My husband ordered food for just himself (I declined due to menu options) and the food took 40 minutes to make. Not very convenient when you are coming home from work and have to wait that long. I really hope this location will expand the menu options like the other locations I'm updating this because they added drunken noodles to menu and it's the best option. This place is very good! We live in the area and order food from here quite often. The food is always consistent, fresh, and tasty. I docked one star because the service is hit or miss. When we order delivery, the food usually arrives very quickly. However, whenever I have gone to pick up directly from the restaurant, I have almost always had to sit and wait an extra 10+ minutes after it said it would be ready. Was excited about the new opening-but not so good. Pad Thai tastes very fishy to me..crab wontons are good-but very disappointing if you can't get Pad Thai right. I have been there twice...won't try a third-wife is not a fan either. Better options around the area. UPDATE-I was mistaken when I said crab wontons...I meant dumplings (they are good)....and my mistake was pointed out by management-and I'm glad that they read reviews!! I even got an email from Yelp saying that I might have posted on the wrong dining establishment (so apparently management reported me and takes their reviews seriously-as do I). But sadly the Pad Thai tastes fishy to me...again I have tried it twice..and my second attempt I asked if they would lighten up on this sauce-same result. The customer service was great and the food was good. Ordered on the app and it was super easy. Ordered a green curry and a soup and both were solid. Dropping what would be 5 stars to 3 due to how limited the menu is. This is the only Thai restaurant I have ever been to (and I have been to every Thai restaurant within 20 miles looking for the perfect go-to) that does not have Pad Seew. They only sell Curry, Pad Thai and Fried Rice. I assumed it was a soft launch, but the manager who helped us out said that it was their final menu. Vegetarians and fish allergies people Beware. DO NOT Believe the workers if they tell you that the Pad Thai is vegetarian and that it contains no fish sauce. 100% it contains fish sauce, which is why the menu does not say its vegetarian. Fish sauce makes it NOT Vegetarian people! What is so hard to understand about the word "vegetarian" that does not mean they eat fish ok? I am sure the Pad Thai would taste fine maybe even better without the fishy aftertaste. Maybe try changing the recipe someday? Update 5/22/19 Happy that the owner has replied and will address these concerns with the staff so I am changing the review to three stars.
