I'd been hearing some buzz about this spot and had to check it out. I was torn between the Thai Curry Pizza and the Tom Yum Pizza, but ended up going with a large Tom Yum pizza topped with bacon, tofu, pineapple, and basil, plus a side of curry dipping sauce. Pickup from Allied Food To Go was quick and straightforward. At first, I was a little skeptical, but the pizza really impressed me. The Tom Yum flavors came through with that sour-sweet balance and a nice lemongrass kick. The curry dipping sauce paired perfectly with the crust I highly recommend adding it. Speaking of the crust, it wasn't too thick, light and airy, and held up well with the toppings. First time trying Thai flavored pizza - mind-blowing good!! I would never think Tom Yum flavor or curry would go well with pizza, but this experience really gave me new perspective on what possibilities are out there. You can order in-person at a kiosk onsite, or better yet, order online at their website (https://www.thaicurrypizza.com/pasadena). Once you place your order, they will text and email you. When your order is ready, you will get a link that allows you to scan at the kiosk when you get there. They put your food in these little locked cubby bins (kind of like the Amazon pick-up lockers). After scanning your order on the phone, the kiosk will pop the locker open for you to retrieve your food. If you need help or run into issues, which I did, there are staff around to help out. They were very kind and friendly in helping me out with my "technical difficulties." Note for parking -- there's street parking, but also, they have a private alleyway where you can park to pick-up the food; it's a bit hidden, so drive slow or you will miss it. 1. Tom Yum Pizza (5/5) You can 100% taste the tom yum flavor -- the hot and sour flavor profile that is achieved through a combination of spicy chili peppers, fish sauce, and lime juice. You can also taste the lemongrass flavor as well. This pizza features their tom yum sauce as the base and topped off with mozzarella, tomatoes, mushrooms, cilantro, and your choice of protein (bacon, chicken, ham, sausage, pepperoni, shrimp, tofu or vegan chicken). If there's a topping you don't want, you can also opt out. On the flip side, if you want to add additional toppings, you can do so for extra cost. They even have the option to do cauliflower crust, which I did not try this time around, but will do so next time. 2. Thai Curry Pizza (5/5) This pizza has more of a creaminess flavor profile and a very pleasant aftertaste of coconut milk. It is topped with melted mozzarella, bell peppers, red onions, and the aromatic touch of Thai red curry & Thai basil. I recommend adding additional basil to give it more of a punch. Pizza was delicious! Flavor was on point. But it is expensive for the portion, about $20 for a small which is enough for 1-2 people. Still worth trying. We ordered online and it was done when it said it was going to be. There's an old rite aid parking lot next to the building and you can park for 5 minutes to pick up your pizza. There isn't much on the inside, basically a bunch of lockers where they put your food for pick up. The place is moving (no location yet) in December. read more

I went to the original Long Beach location years ago, but I didn't have a good experience due to a lack of cleanliness and flies inside. I've considered giving the shop another chance since I haven't seen Thai fusion pizzas elsewhere, so I was intrigued to see that they opened a satellite branch at the Allied food court in Pasadena (a shared kitchen and takeout hub). The ordering process is streamlined, allowing customers to order online and indicate in the notes what time they would like pickup to be. After placing my online order in the morning for a noon pickup, I received email and text confirmations, and at exactly 12 pm, I received an automated text that my order was ready. After driving over and entering the tiny storefront, I clicked on the link from the text and the locker with my order immediately opened, allowing me to retrieve my pizzas. Now onto the food - I ordered a Thai curry pizza with tofu and a Tom yum pizza with chicken. The flavors were authentic and on point, and they harmonized well with the pizzas. **Food Delivery Review ** After having a bad day, my partner surprised me with Thai Curry Pizza ordered on Uber Eats, and my night was officially made! It was so so good! As this is an Uber eats order, I can't say anything about the ambiance, but as it's located in Allied Food to Go, I know the workers were kind as this shared kitchen always brought forth great food for us to try! It was delivered in about 30 minutes and we were pleased that the pizza was still hot and fresh! We ordered the Crying Tiger and Tom Yum pizza, and WOW!! It definitely tasted like their respective dishes! My partner absolutely loves Tom Yum and vouched for the tom yum pizza, while my personal favorite was the crying tiger pizza! You can tell it was made with lots of love! I only docked a star as the extra items we ordered (drinks and condiments) were not delivered alongside our order but it's possible it's no fault to the restaurant but to the Uber eats driver potentially forgetting it. Delicious pizza but set up is confusing. I placed an order for a pizza online and arrived 5 minutes early. I was initially a tad confused because there was no signage for the restaurant. This is not TCP not the same crust. Not the same ranch. Not the same peanut sauce. Not the same onions. Not the same recipe. This is a fine interpretation of Thai curry pizza but TCP it is not. I was in Long Beach today craving TCP but the store is closed on Wednesday. We moved from LBC to Pasadena area about a year ago. I still go back to visit like once a month and 90 percent of the time I head home with a pizza and some egg rolls for snacks on the drive home. When I learned that they opened one in Pasadena I was elated so we decided to give it a shot. I'm not sure if the amazing older couple that owns the OG franchised the idea or if his son who I'm told runs a Thai restaurant in LA is trying to carry on the legacy but it's not broken and hasn't been broken for the last twenty years. Don't try and refine it. Don't reinvent it. Don't make it prettier with the uniform Julien cuts and ribbon herbs. Make it how dad makes it or don't make it at all. The pizza was fine and overpriced the dough is uninspired and doesn't live up to its namesake. I'll just keep driving down to see the old man and enjoying staring at the fat goldfish. It's a pass for me. My wife thinks it's better but she's wrong. She made me give 4 stars on the off chance that it's a family member and not someone who is just capitalizing on the OG cult classic.
